She watched Remi as her tried the door, but nothing happened. So it wasn't the breeze then. Someone, or something had closed the door. She nodded at his order, reaching for the knob as he turned away. She couldn't open it either.

Isabella glanced over her shoulder at Remi. What was he looking at? Could he see something she couldn't? A chill came over her. She suddenly had an overwhelming of being watched. There was something evil near. Possibly growing nearer.

The voice in her mind was angry at her. She had been foolish, and that would get them both killed. All three of them, though the voice cared not for Remi. Isabella tried the door again, but still it did not open. She turned to look to Remi, in time to notice a distortion around the lilies. As if some sort of gas was rising from them.

Isabella gasped. There was! And they were surrounded by the gaseous lilies. She covered her nose and mouth with her free hand, looking at the flowers in horror. They had to get out. She turned around, pulling and the door, banging on it and turning the handle frantically. "Open the door!" she pleaded, "Please, someone!"

The door still wasn't opening, and now the flowers were spewing some sort of mist or gas. Isabella had said they weren't dangerous flowers, and Remi had believed her. He still believed her, this gas was something different, not something that was naturally a part of lillies. It was a field though, and fields could burn. The glow in his eyes intensified. Remi's voice was loud and full of power as he spoke the spell, though it sounded almost automatic as well. As if he were reading it out of a book. "What I seek is the burning field. Crimson!"

His hands were held out in front of him and a strange glyph, appeared in front of his hands. Fire arced and streaked from the glyph, touching the flowers closest to them, the immediate threats, and then spreading out further into the field. Remi's body was tense, and he backed up a bit closer to Isabella. As if to shield her body with his own. The glyph had vanished.

Fire burned in the field, it was already dangerously close to them, even as the rest of the field began to catch. The fire was spreading quickly in all directions, as if the flowers and grass had been very dry. He raised his hands, palms flat towards the sky. "What I seek is the water cloud. Mizui!" Another glyph appeared and from it shot up a small river's worth of water. It went into the sky and gravity pulled it all back down almost like rain.

The glyph vanished, but the water continued to fall, there had been so much of it. Remi was panting. Two big spells so close together took a bit of energy, but he had more energy, more spells, some even bigger than that if need be. He would fire them all off if he thought it would help them survive. The fire was killing the flowers, and the water was keeping the fire from engulfing him and the girl, it was also doing wonderfully at dispersing the gas.

Why hadn't he thought of water first? Well, know he knew better. They would be soaked by the time the 'rain' stopped, it had been something like a torrential downpour and the ground around them, though charred from the fire would be far to wet for the fire raging around them to come close enough to touch them. It was as if a barrier had been erected six feet between them and the fire on all sides. All sides except for where the door was. That was a barrier all of it's own. Too bad Remi didn't know any barrier spells.

He glanced over his shoulder at Isabella, as if to make sure she was alright.

kyle (the older twin) & exel (the younger twin)

They're twins, not identical but still twins born only with a difference of few minutes from a mother they don't want anything to do with. Not only their visual doesn't immediately show that they're related, but also their personality which are quite the polar opposites. Strangely, they get along like no other and share a complete understanding to one another despite the countless disagreements. Understanding doesn't necessarily mean agree upon something, but to tolerate and accept after all. It is because they both own such a strong personality that won't go down by any influence.
The older one, the showy cross dresser, shows his all from the first second on and smashes like a bomb with such an impact that it'd be weird if he goes around unnoticed. Yes, indeed, it's a he. If no one would have told, he'll pass as a she with no big tralalala. Honestly, he's a slim figure with a height of 5'9 ft and has such a beautiful shaped face so no one would ever doubt his gender to be female. He's just too feminine in several aspects (well, additionally there is the make-up and those fake breasts though). Even his voice, wherein his talent lies, doesn't leave a single hint of his true gender.
The younger one (only by 7 minutes) is on the contrary a reserved type, chooses to think before doing any action and doesn't blindly do whatever he feels doing like his twin does. It is a given that he is more mature and the very reason they didn't end up dead in the next corner. He's bigger than his brother by some mere inches, but he's proud of it. It is notable that he loves to tease his twin brother due to that.
Like mentioned, the older one's talent lies within his voice. He can change his voice and mimic any sound possible, whether it's produced by a human, animal or creature. It is said that with this ability of his, he's able to communicate with animals or creatures and by chance give them orders even. His twin brother is on the other hand a puppeteer. He carries around several little skeletons that carry on orders through a mere hand gesture, but those little guys could do more than one expect.

These are talents, gifts, which are hereditary. Rumours even go as far as saying that the twin’s ancestors might come from a royal family. That aside and back to the current stage of affairs, the twins refer themselves as pirates (without a pirate ship) who are travelling to complete a mission.

&

It wasn't long until the thick fog caught them, blocking their sight. No wonder they soon lost track of direction, were lost under the might of nature. Or was it purely nature's doing? Being inside it almost made them appear helpless, as no sound, no smell, nor any other kind of clue they could clutch onto. Such mystical, magical and unfamiliar feeling there was, resting heavy upon their skin, made both walk alerted through the fog, hoping to exit. Suddenly, Kyle grabbed the hand of his twin who twitched surprised. Frowning, he then noticed Kyle's hand, pointing towards a building ahead. "Let's go and ask for directions." Only someone like Kyle can suggest that in such situation. Exel tilted his head like always when he was unsure. However, he couldn't say anything against it; it's not like they had any choice.

After awhile they reached the building, which from close remembered of an Inn. At least, it appeared. Kyle was first to grab the knob and opened the door, sneaked inside and nervously searched for light in the complete darkness. "Is somebody there?" He asked with a loud, feminine voice, rather reluctant to enter any further. It was then when the lights switched on and immediately changed Kyle's insecurity to delight. Without thinking any further, he went away from the entrance assuming that a someone was there who will help them out. "Oh, it is such a relief to find this place! We were sooo surprised by the fog you see, and..." By the time Kyle started to talk, Exel followed and entered the Inn, although with alert and mistrust. He didn't like this, like, at all.

"Kyle, here's no body. No body human, that is." Exel then whispered, interrupting his twin's talk. "I don't like this, let's get out of here." Before Kyle could say anything, there was a sound as if someone is banging on the door, and a woman voice in between. "You hear that?" Exel nodded but he soon regretted it. Kyle's curiosity was imponderable.

"Is there someone? Heeey, heeeeey! Answer me!" Kyle shouted so loudly that Exel would've loved to stuff his skeletons inside his mouth to shut him. Yet he didn't do anything against it and just followed his twin through the hall.

She coughed, and choked, and covered her mouth and nose with her arm and she continued to bang on the door. Remi spoke, but his voice had taken on a different quality, one that caused Isabella to turn around to see him, face still covered. He was using magic.

The burst of fiery light shot out from a glyph before him, igniting the poisonous lilies. Remi backed up and before long, the entire field was aflame. It had spread so quickly, almost too quickly. It was spreading over the lilies and coming back their way. Isabella had her back to the door, covering her mouth and nose with her arm, throat still burning, when she realized she was still holding the lily.

Quickly she threw it into the flame. She ripped the lily from her hair that Remi had tucked away there, and tossed it to the flame, too. It was a shame, to watch something so beautiful burn into ashes. That thought didn't last long; Isabella noted that the flames were inching toward them at an alarming rate.

Remi was speaking again, and another glyph appeared, before water came pouring down over them. The water put out the fire nearest to them, and soaked the ground around them, keeping the flames away. Remi didn't give himself enough credit. He'd said her gift was more preferable than his. But she could never have stopped gaseous flowers, burned them, and protected the two of them all in a matter of moments. He was a hero, to her.

Stray bits of dark hair clung to Isabella's face and shoulders. Her white dress was soaked through and she shuddered. They still needed to get out of this place. She turned around and tried the door again. Nothing. Remi's fire raged on, higher and higher, hotter and hotter. It was impossible. The flowers were only so tall. It was the Inn's doing. The Inn would evaporate Remi's water and burn them to ash, just like the flowers.

Isabella banged on the door again, almost unable to hear herself now over the crashing 'rain'drops and roaring fire. "Open the door!" she demanded of the Inn. "Somebody help us!" she cried desperately, pounding the door with rain soaked fists.

Remi was suddenly regretted his use of magic. The flames should have been slowly burning down, but instead they were getting higher and higher, hotter and hotter. He grit his teeth, the torrential downpour had stopped. He was soaked to the bone, and he could tell it wouldn't be long before the fire had evaporated the water in the ground, dried the wet ground around them enough to burn. He needed more space, more space between them and the fire. Remi also held little hope that someone would open the door for them, there had been no one inside the building except for him and Isabella. Unless someone else had newly arrived, if so, would they hear Isabella's cries for help?

He stepped away from her and the door, moving to the edge of wet ground that met fiery inferno. The edge closest to them. "What I seek is the water cloud." His hands were in front of him and that glyph formed at his palms. There had been more insistence in his voice this time and more power in it as he dug deep for the energy to strengthen an already strong spell. The glyph hovered there, and he moved one of his hands. Another glyph appeared beside the first, it was the same type. Remi moved all the way around the border of wet grass and fire. Glyphs appearing one after the other until he had made his way back to her, but on the opposite side he had started from. A semi circle of glyphs surrounded them.

Remi was sweating, but not from the heat, his eyes were glowing rather furiously and his brow was furrowed with deep concentration. "Mizui!" He said the word so forcefully and water erupted from all the glyphs simultaneously. It was like dozens of rivers suddenly sprouted. The water hit the fire and at first there was only steam. Though slowly but surely the steady, hard flow of water was beating the fire even further back. It wouldn't last long. The glyphs were already starting to vanish.

At least, it gave them more time. He turned towards the door now, and banged his fist against it, hard. It made a loud noise, surely if someone were in the Inn they would have heard that if they hadn't heard the noise and shouts from Isabella. "I don't know any barrier spells, or how many more times I can cast the water spell to keep you safe." His voice was that neutral tone again, and he already looked rather tired. He was trying to hide it. Probably only once maybe twice more he could cast a big spell like that, before passing out.

Isabella paused in trying to get the door to open, to glance over her shoulder at Remi. He was midway through his next spell. How long could he keep at it? At keeping the fire away from them.

He had made his way around the semi-circle back to her, and crystal-like eyes glowing with the orange of the fire, watched as he said that word, the one that made fire and water come. The water came again, and she watched in despair as it immediately evaporated into steam. Finally, the water seemed to be putting out the fire, only the fire kept coming.

Remi banged on the door, much harder than Isabella could. She wondered if he could force it open, break it down or something... Then he was saying he couldn't keep up the water spells forever. She had assumed that already, but had hoped somehow that he could. A wave of hopelessness washed over her.

She looked at him now though. While his voice showed impassiveness, there was something in his features, his eyes, or maybe the way he held himself that told Isabella that the spells were taking a toll on him. Perhaps they were draining him of energy. She could fix that. But there wasn't enough time, not while she couldn't concentrate, not in a situation like this.

And what then? He would keep doing water spells and the fire would keep coming, and she would keep giving him energy until there was none left to give and they would die. Would they die now anyway? No! She wouldn't accept that.

Isabella frowned, determined. He wanted to protect her, and she wanted to protect him. They were alike, in many ways. And she couldn't look passed that even in this short time, she'd grown to trust and to value Remi. She grabbed his hand with one of hers, simultaneously feeding him energy through her touch.

It probably wouldn't do much of anything, not while she wasn't able to focus, and not while she wasn't still. Not in this madness. But she had to try. He had tried for her, and she would try, too. With her other hand, she reached for the handle of the door again.

A sizzling sound and a sudden gasp brought Isabella's hand to her chest. She had released Remi's and cradled her own for a moment. What in the world had happened? She looked at her hand, while lightly red, it was fine. The sizzling sound had come from the water on her hand as it came in contact with the burning hot door handle.

But why was the door handle so- "Nazar," Isabella gasped as she looked up. Flames shot up around the door. The field had burned full circle, all around them, in every direction. "It's burning," she breathed, her normally angelic voice, strained. "It's burning!" She said it the second time in complete panic. Their door out of this hell was on fire. While inside the Inn, it was a gateway, but here, closed in the field, it was just a wooden door.

She reached out to bang on the door again, but it was too hot to touch. The flames had gotten so high around them now that the smoke billowed into the sky, blocking out the sunny summer day. She was coughing again, and choking. Covering her mouth and nose, she fell onto her knees. Her heart was racing, and it was hard to breathe.

So this is finally it then, the bitter voice in her mind said.

He blinked at her when she touched him, but he didn't pull away. Perhaps she needed the reassurance that physical contact could give. Though small that reassurance would be in a situation like this. He had made things worse with that fire by only trying to help. He shouldn't have been so foolish. Remi grit is teeth, trying to think of a way out. Going through the list of all the spells he knew.

A sudden hiss, and gasp and her jerking her hand away to cradle her other one brought his attention to her. Then to the door. The fire had crept up behind them, he had thought the door would be a magical barrier of sorts. He was very wrong. Another foolish mistake. If that door burned, he was sure they would never get out at all, if they somehow survived this fire. Isabella was panicking, he could hear it in her voice as she spoke and then she was on the ground. That smoke, it was all around them.

Then Isabella was on her knees. Without a thought he removed his jacket and draped it over her head. It would help keep some of the smoke at bay, for a little while at least. It was better than nothing. Remi stood there now, in his sleeveless black shirt, he glanced down at Isabella. She would have to survive this. Even if he didn't, he would never forgive himself if he failed to save her. He barely inhaled, holding his breath against the smoke. His eyes squinting, watering a bit at the stinging.

And then he was yelling. "What I seek is the water cloud. Mizui!" His hands, palms pointed at the door and the glyph appeared. Water shot from it, but Remi was speaking the spell again, his hands angling a bit and this time the glyph appeared directly above the door. Water poured down from the glyph above the door, drenching it. And water blasted against the door from in front.

Remi gasped for air, and staggered a bit, but the fire on the door and very close to it was out now. For how long he couldn't say, but that door was soaking wet now. The fire was closing in on them though. He reached down, his arm slipping around Isabella's waist and he pulled her to her feet and against his chest. Bringing her back to the door. His first glyph had faded already, the second one, the one above the door was faltering. But he pulled Isabella nearly against that door and the water was drenching them too.

It was some protection from the heat, flames and smoke. He kept that arm around her waist, and pulled his jacket even more over her head. To protect her. His free hand clenched into a fist and he banged as hard as his tired body could against that door. "By the gods, open damn you!" There was emotion in his voice now. Anger. No panic and no fear, just anger. He had to be careful though, if he got to lost in his emotion the Alpha Stigma would destroy everything. Absolutely everything. His body was trembling, trembling from exhaustion and from anger.

Hikari

Hikari stands at 5'11" with a slender but toned build. Her curves are proportionate to her body, not too big or small but noticeable enough to mark her as a woman. She has waist-length pure white hair and rather unique red eyes. Her skin is pale and smooth like porcelain. Her sweet, innocent looks hide her strength, and no one would ever guess her abilities, or her secrets.

Hikari's abilities include elemental magic, though she specializes in air, and spiritual abilities. Her secret is what makes her abilities dangerous. When Hikari was young, a wizard magically sealed within her an object of great power. This object was, and is, highly coveted by many, as it can grant the one holding it infinite power. With a simple wish the object can make or destroy worlds. As the vessel for this object, Hikari is unable to use it's power for herself. In order to protect the object, the wizard also sealed a magical being within her, a greater demon known as Calcifer, who takes the form of a man with six dark gray wings. Calcifer and Hikari share Hikari's mind and body, and can switch places at will. Sometimes Hikari will talk to Calcifer out loud without realizing it, and he will answer through her voice, so it seems like she's conversing with herself. Calcifer's powers are unknown, but Hikari is able to use them. Hikari is a runaway, though she doesn't say who she ran from.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was strange. Hikari had been walking quietly through the forest at night, when all of a sudden a thick, swirling mist enveloped her. Even Calcifer couldn't see through the fog. When it cleared, she was standing in front of a building that had not been there before. "The Dead End Inn...what a dismal name. Might as well get some sleep, at least." Hikari said aloud. In her mind, Calcifer agreed, though he was uneasy. Be wary, child. This place is strange. His thought brushed across her mind and she nodded. Stepping up to the door, she started to realize just how strange the place was, as the door opened for her. She walked inside to find two people standing in the main room. One was male and the other female, and she sensed that they were related, even though they bore no resemblance to each other. Even as she looked at the pair, the door closed behind her, startling the young woman. The whole place was making her increasingly nervous. "Calcifer..." She whispered, not thinking that the two people in front of her might wonder who she was talking to. Be calm, you are safe...for now. Came the demon's reply. Hikari was not reassured at all. "I don't think-" She started, but was cut off by a distinctly male voice speaking through her own lips. "For the love of darkness, stop being so timid! At least speak to the people standing right in front of us! Greetings, strangers. I apologize for my host's lack of basic manners. I am Calcifer, protector of-" The male voice was choked off and replaced Hikari's voice. "Don't do that! I hate when you take over like that!" Hikari turned her attention back to the people in front of her. "I'm so sorry, please don't be too freaked out. My name is Hikari, and the voice you just heard was Calcifer, a demon who inhabits my body. He likes to take over my speech sometimes." She said, hoping the pair wouldn't scream or run away.
kyle (the older twin) & exel (the younger twin)
Going more and more into the direction of the heart of the Inn, or at least it felt likewise, the sounds they heard were getting clearer and clearer until eventually Exel recognized them as anger filled, with desperation, sounding words coming from somewhere of one of the countless doors ahead. He frowned, wondered whether he should prevent his twin to open a door (which he will soon enough) or let him and await whatever there is behind each one of them. In the middle of pondering, Kyle just went ahead and approached a door where he suspected the sound came from as a man's voice startled both to look behind. There stood a woman, innocent looking yet so big it made Kyle jealous, came at them with words that didn't make much sense. While both just raised an eyebrow (one of the few habits they have in common when they're slightly confused), the dark voice turned womanly in seconds; just as if two individuals were standing in front of them. They were familiar with the strangest and most unique things of the world, but it turned out that there is more than what they already encountered. While Kyle's eyes blinked of excitement, Exel just went ahead of his twin, knowing exactly what stunt he’s going to perform. It was nothing where his presence might be of any use. But at least in his thoughts, he felt sorry for the girl.
"Oh, pretty girl! There's no need for you to apologize." Kyle said with a lovely assuring voice and a dashing smile, as he slowly approached her and gently reached for her hand, only to caress it upon his palm. "Does he protects you perhaps? The spir- no, it's a demon right?" He asked, tilting his head in such cutesy mannerism. He loved woman, woman of any kind which is partly the reason he cross dresses. Not in a way that he's a womanizer; he just loved woman in general. They're so pure while men are disgusting; at least that is according to Kyle's opinion. He naively believes in the good within all women even, that lead to several incidents of betrayal, which didn't changed anything though. His preferences were also seen through the clothes he wore; a body-hugging one-piece Chinese dress in bloody red which showed off his slim long clean shaved legs just perfectly. "How did you end up here? Did you decide staying the night? If yes, we could share a room--"
Before he could end his sentence, the smell of ashes, fire and grass filled the air so suddenly he couldn't help but avert his eyes from his target. His twin Exel had opened a door. He had decided to do so after he heard the loud bang just at his right while he was passing the mentioned door. You might say that it piqued his curiosity, but the action of opening the door was more like spontaneity, having a feeling that otherwise he would have regretted it.
Therefore he opened the door, only to be confronted by smoke and two figures within it.
With all that she had survived, this fiery field was the end then. Only minutes ago she could have happily died on a warm summer day amid a field of lilies. But, circumstances were much different now, as the field flamed and burned her lungs.
Isabella felt something on her, and she realized that Remi had draped his jacket over her. Still covering her mouth and nose, she clutched one side of the jacket, pulling it down to cover her face from the heat.
It was only a moment later that she was being to pulled to her feet, against Remi. The jacket fell from her head to rest on her shoulders, and she pulled a part of it up to cover her mouth and nose as he moved them to the door. Water fell on the again, and Isabella rested her head against Remi's chest, closing her eyes.
"N-n-Naz-ar..." she tried to say. She trembled, though not from cold. How long could he keep them and door from the fire? He'd already done more spells, could he even do another? Her dark hair and white dress clung to her skin, but it mattered little now.
As Isabella was giving up in her own mind, the door opened. For what seemed like an eternity, she stood there, grey-white eyes wide as she stared at the man who had opened it. Was this another joke? A cruel trick? Had she passed out? God?
Remi held Isabella close, the water was quickly evaporating around them. There were no more glyphs to soak them and the fire with and Remi couldn't make another. No, he could, but then he'd pass out and be useless. Then again he didn't think he was being much useful at all. He wanted to reassure her, but he didn't know how. He lifted his fist again to bang on the door and stopped. It had opened. It had opened! A person stood on the other side, but Remi didn't care about that at all.
He shoved Isabella through the door, she might stumble. Might even fall, or the man on the other side might grab her and keep her on her feet. Those things didn't matter though. All that mattered was that she was safe. That she was away from the fire. He followed close behind her, and turned quickly towards the door. Not caring if the man still held to the knob or not. Remi slammed that door with force and shoved his back against it, sinking down to sit there with a long low sigh of what could only be relief.
There were several things for Remi to be relieved about. They had escaped, or rather, Isabella was safe now. Or safer than she was moments ago, and he had not lost control and destroyed the world. He closed his strange red eyes with the purple symbols on them. Wonderingly only idly that the door on this side felt like a normal door. Not hot the way one with a fire raging behind it would be.
All Remi wanted to do now was sleep. He opened his eyes, as if suddenly remembering he was not alone. He looked at the man that had opened the door, and turned his head to look down the hallway. Two other people were there, two women it seemed. Remi shrugged slightly, sighed again. This one a tired sound. He probably should stand up, but he didn't want to, so he wouldn't. That gaze settled on Isabella. "Forgive me, I was very foolish. I should never have endangered you like that." His voice purely neutral once again.
Though if he had known the fire would be like that he wouldn't have used that spell. It was also safe to assume that any magic he used behind any of those doors would react like that. At least anything that could be turned against them, he was sure most magic he knew could be turned against them in some form.
He was looking at the one that had opened the door for them. "You saved Isabella when I couldn't. For that I am in your debt." His voice remained neutral, and his choice of words might have seemed odd. 'Saved Isabella' and not 'saved us' and earlier he had told her he wasn't sure how much more times he could cast that water spell to keep 'her' safe. It was never 'us' safe. It was always just about keeping her safe. Of course in his opinion, his life wasn't one worth saving, but he certainly didn't actively seek death and while he was alive he would do his best to help those that needed it.
To say that she was surprised when the woman started hitting on her would be an understatement. Hikari blinked several times before opening her mouth to answer, when suddenly there was the sound of a door opening, the heat of a raging fire, and then two more people in the hallway with them. This place is really getting interesting... Calcifer thought, and Hikari had to nod. One it seemed everyone was okay, she stepped forward. "Excuse me, but...can anyone tell me what's going on here? What is this place? Who are all of you? And why- no, Calcifer! Quiet, I'm talking! That's not-" Her voice changed yet again as the demon took control. "Just let me do the talking, girl. We should start with introductions. Didn't I teach you anything about manners? Miss." It was Calcifer's voice, but Hikari's body that moved forward and took the hand of the woman who had previously been hitting on her. Calcifer, being the ancient demon that he was, was actually a womanizer. Of course, he could tell that this was not actually a woman, but he honestly didn't care. "I believe you were offering to share a room tonight. I happily-" The male voice stopped and was replaced by Hikari's voice yet again. "I told you to stop that! Please pay no attention to the sex hungry demon who keeps talking through me." Hikari begged, once again in control of her body.
Whether Exel was surprised, one wouldn't notice through his gestures nor his expressions which were rather controlled, indifferent even, as if everyhing was an event far from his hand's reach. He, after all, was meant only to be an observer, not used to actively interact with others without any dark intentions in mind. Instinctively he covered his nose as smelling the burned smell and watched quietly the scene while he faintly managed to take a glance of a summer blue sky in the background. The door was slammed shut soon after a woman was thrown into his arms. He caught her, perplexed. That's when his eyebrows twitched, showing a small reaction. Wheher it is due to surprise or irritation, no one could tell. Although the unbearable smell was still present, he slowly perceived the fragrance of a woman; and it caught him surprised that it didn't bother him the slightest. He lowered his gaze, intended to look closer down to the woman but decided against it after hearing the man's voice speaking from below. Was he her bodyguard? At least, he persumed that through his pick of words, uncaring of his own well-being. Perhaps something Exel would never understand.
In debt, huh? It might be useful in the future; is what he thought as he nodded to the man. Then the other, strange, woman came. He blinked upon hearing the change of voice, but decided not to mind it. "I am also interested to be informed about what exactly happened to you both, if you mind?" It was polite words he selected, careful words which were posed merely to gain information. No wasting time in asking their conditions as he felt it as redundant upon seeing their faces, but of course Kyle wasn't thinking that way, or rather, he wasn't thinking at all.
Kyle, who was still puzzled after the back and forth changing voice of the tall woman, after awhile regained his curiosity which was increased by the two new individuals. By the mention of 'sex crazed', his mind might have swayed elsewhere for a second there, but it didn't matter. At least, for now. "Why? He might as well join us. It isn't like he possesses a man's body." Kyle winked with a grin without explaining any further, as he finally put his attention to the other two individuals. A man and a woman. Obviously, the woman interested him more than the below cowering man and therefore he approached her with honest concern. "Are you alright, dear?" The question where Exel rolled his eyes. "Any injuries? How could, such a beautiful girl like you... if anything hurts, I can..."
"Kyle, just shut up for a minute and let them take a break. Or even better, let them talk and give us insight of what happened." And Kyle did shut his mouth as told, pouting. "Well?" Exel stared to the man, growing impatient. It wasn't his thing to wait for someone. It was unpleasant.
"It was a trap." He knew that now, should have suspected it before hand. If he had then perhaps things wouldn't have gotten so dangerous. His strange red eyes, with the purple symbols in them narrowed a bit at the man asking him questions. Remi was tired, he wasn't interested in answering questions, only interested in sleeping right now. The purple symbols in his eyes glowed slightly as he initiated a scan of the man before him. Searching for hints and traces of magic.
Then he turned his head, looking at the other two women. Scanning them as well. One had spoken with a man's voice for a moment. There was something magical inside of her, but other than that he didn't pick up any useful information at all. The other woman gave off similar results as the man, and Remi shrugged mostly to himself. He should have been trying to hide his eyes, but there was no point now. He watched slightly wary as one of the women approached Isabella.
Just carefully watching. When the man told that woman to shut up, Remi made two assumptions. One they knew each other rather well, and two the woman might not be a woman. It was the name the other had called her by that tipped him off, still girls could have names that were common for boys and vice versa. He did know a man named Lulu after all. So Remi wasn't really sure if this, Kyle, was a male or female yet. That other male was looking at him though, with a bit of impatience it seemed.
Remi got to his feet, slowly, his back still leaning heavily against the door as he stood. As if to make sure it remained closed, however it was more just for support of his tired body. "The flowers tried to kill us and my magic got a little out of hand. Someone, or something, turned it against us as easily as they had the flowers." They were still wet, a hot bath, dry clothes and sleep. Yes. That was all Remi wanted, but would his bedroom even be safe?
Isabella still had his jacket draped around her frame, but that was alright. She could keep it as long as she wanted. "Were you people brought here by a fog as well?" It was Remi's turn to ask questions with that neutral voice of his.
((I'm sorry this ended up so long! My posts are usually so huge! I've had a really long day and writing is how I de-stress. Sorry sorry sorry!))
While Isabella was wondering whether or not she had crossed over, Remi shoved her. In that moment, Isabella snapped out of it, and she was inside the Inn hall once again. Her arms reached out to grasp at anything to keep her on her feet, but she didn't have to try too hard, God was still standing there.
He caught Isabella and kept her from falling, and before she could even turn around, the door behind them slammed. She held onto the stranger for support, as much as for the comfort of knowing she was attached to something on this side of the door to hell, that she couldn't be pulled back in there, not with her Godly anchor.
She twisted her body enough to see Remi, wanting to know that he had made it inside, just as he spoke to her. Isabella opened her mouth to tell him she was fine, and that he couldn't blame himself. After all, she was a grown woman who made the decision to follow him into the field. He couldn't blame himself for that. Neither of them could blame themselves even. How were they to know?
But before she could, a girl with white hair was shooting off a bunch of questions. Isabella had not known there were others in the hall, aside from herself, Nazar, and the stranger who had opened the door. Now she looked at the two women, trying to process questions and make sense of what had happened. She was having a hard time.
Then, a deep voice, not the one Isabella had already heard, came from the girl's mouth, but as quickly as it had come, it was gone, and the girl was reprimanding herself for being sex crazed. Isabella blinked owlishly at the girl. Was she a highly caffeinated schizophrenic? It didn't matter, Isabella trembled again. She needed to get out of this soaked gown. Like Remi, she wanted a hot bath, and perhaps something to eat. If she dared trust this Inn again, anyway.
The man who held her agreed that he wanted to know what had happened, and Isabella realized she was still holding tightly to her anchor. She glanced at the door once more, to be sure it was shut, and released him, stepping back to give him back his personal space, that she had been thrown into. She started to thank him, for opening the door and for catching her, but the other woman was speaking.
Finally, someone actually asking if they were okay! Though Isabella didn't want to be a bother to anyone, even if she was hurt. She clutched Remi's jacket around her and shook her head. "I'm okay now, thank you," she said, trembling, though trying hard not to. That would be the first time the strangers would hear Isabella's angelic voice, sounding like sunshine and honey, as if given to her by the God's themselves. "Thanks to Nazar," she added, giving him a look of great appreciation, and hoping he would see that she meant it.
She blamed him for nothing. But something told her that he wouldn't see it that way. The way he seemed to care so little for himself over others. He would lose sleep over not being able to protect those around him. It was a noble thing. Something that made him special, though he couldn't see that. It was a shame.
"And thanks to you," she added to her anchor. The second woman was being silenced now though, and Isabella's eyes widened, though probably unnoticeably. She wondered of the pair's relationship, that he would talk to her like that, and that she would allow it. But Nazar was explaining now.
Isabella nodded in agreement. But, "What if it wasn't a trap?" she said in thought. "The Inn doesn't seem to be trying to harm us in here. Just in, there," she said, nodding towards the door. "What if the Inn thought we were trying to hurt it? Or what if it's not the Inn's doing in there at all?"
She was grasping at answers, wanting there to be some easy answer, and hoping she might be right, so that she could rest easy tonight. Something told her that wasn't the case though. Water dripped from her hair, and thankfully Nazar's jacket covered her white soaked dress that also dripped water onto the floor around her bare feet.
Isabella's grey-white gaze looked back to Remi from the trio, and she remembered how much he had exerted himself. A look of great concern washed over her, and she couldn't believe she'd almost forgotten how much energy he'd used trying to save them, trying to save her. She moved back to the door to stand with him.
"Here," she said, "It's easier if I can touch you." The others might not know what she meant, but Remi should. She'd tried giving him energy in the room, before she'd seen that the door was on fire. Now she'd give him everything she had to give him energy, to pick him up emotionally, heal any burns he may have received, etc. She owed him that.
She took his hand in hers again. Any form of touch would have worked, but Isabella always preferred holding a hand. It seemed friendlier, and less formal, or as some cases in the past, forced. If he'd been wounded, she could hold her hand/s over the wound, as long as she could see it first, and that would be sufficient. Like most things, there were always many methods and variations. Isabella always preferred a warm touch.
Immediately, Remi would feel energy returning to him. He would feel his spirits lifting, if he wasn't too hardheaded. And if he had any wounds, they would be feeling better, too. Unfortunately though, Isabella didn't have all that much energy left to give. She wouldn't use all of hers though, there wouldn't be any sense in that. But she would share what she had left with Remi, no question.
Gemini was quite confused at first, but started to piece together what had happened. The two had gone through the door, and been attacked somehow by...flowers. That part she wasn't clear on. But then some sort of magical fire attacked them and trapped them, until the quiet man had opened the door. "Oh, um...yes, I was also brought here through a thick fog. So you're saying that this place is magical, then?" She asked, just to clarify. That explained why she and Calcifer both felt so strange upon entering. "I wonder if there is a kitchen here. I could make some food for everyone." The young woman offered, thinking that after that ordeal, the two from behind the door must be starving. "Oh, I'm Hikari, by the way. It's nice to meet you all."
kyle (the older twin) & exel (the younger twin)
It was way too less information, that's for sure. Could he have made a clear picture after the little explanation given? Exel wondered whether it can even be counted as some sort of explanation. What's left for him was only to answer their question it seemed; looking how drenched wet and exhausted they are, he guessed it might be better to ask again after they rest and get clear heads. Of course, the answer had no rush; it seemed to him that at this time he and his twin might not go far anyways, not to mention because of the fog. However, it didn't change the fact that he felt very insecure within the walls of the Inn; vulnerable and an easy target to whatever might hide somewhere, anywhere. That's why he deemed it as necessary to gain any kind of information, and was rather irritated of the puny answer he was given although no one would tell from his unchanged indifferent expression.
"A trap? Is that so? So, are you trying to say the Inn trapped you and made you step into the danger in there or is it someone -- something else?" Kyle again, was in action, confused about everything he still tried to make a move on the woman. Her voice was that made Kyle shut his mouth longer than possible, a voice he for the first time wasn't sure of could imitate. A lovely voice, as if gift from heaven, which made his heart flutter for excitement. The woman however, went to the man and held his hand. A scene one would guess coming from dramas, but the intent was different. Soon the warmth of the woman's magic was faintly perceivable in the air as then it slowly ceased soon after. It was obvious; both didn't have much energy left. Whatever they had been through, it completely exhaust them, figured.
"Yes yes, we were also surprised by the fog and found the Inn soon after! If the Inn holds some kind of magic, I guess, it can explain all then..." Kyle thought out loud, an action where nothing really comes out from. He was never the type to think for a long period of time. So it was perfect that Hikari started the introduction round. "Ohh Hikari! Such a beautiful name! My name's Kyle and this--" He grabbed Exel hand with a lovely smile on his face. "--is my twin brother, Exel! It is always nice to meet beautiful woman, even in a place like this~" Again, the man wasn't regarded by Kyle even for a second; unlike so his brother. For minutes he stood there, staring at the man. At first one may think it is due to the woman with the beautiful voice left his side for him and he was jealous or something, but one could never be so wrong. He late noticed the man's eyes. Orbs of a shape and colour he only had seen in books; a rarity he found very attractive. Exel only realised after his twin's touch that he might have gazed at the man for too long, but he didn't go through the trouble to overplay it. Whether the man noticed his gaze, it is a mystery. What he knew was only his own desires, and it was clear that the man's eyes caught his interest.
Exel shook off his twin's hand, a bit annoyed that he told them their names. Then he took off his black coat which revealed his sturdy build and threw it to the man. "Rest a bit and warm up." Kyle who watched everything quickly took off his crimson coat and put it on the woman's shoulder. "And this is for you! Hopefully this suffices, wouldn’t want you to catch a cold, would we? If you want to, I have another dress like I wear now for you to change into?" Kyle offered with an assuring smile, obviously ignoring the man's presence. "Hemm, Hikari, you're right. It would be for the best to eat something warm now, right? Any ideas where to go to?" Meanwhile Exel leaned on the wall of the opposite side, watching the four individuals up front. Secretly observing the man, planning the best next move.
Remi blinked softly as Isabella moved to him. He let her take his hand, there would be no harm in that as long as she didn't over exert herself. He stared at their touching hands though. The symbols over his iris and pupils of his eyes glowing a purple color as she began to give her energy to him. Reading that magic, scanning it and unable to copy it. The symbols stopped glowing when he looked away. Looking at the others in the hallway with him and Isabella.
"This entire building could be a trap. The magic that surrounds it is very foreign to me." He was feeling better, with that energy, though still rather cold and still craving a hot bath and sleep. At least now he wasn't too exhausted. The other girl...ah there were too many girls..and one of them he wasn't entirely sure was really a girl. Remi shook his head slightly, the other girl, Hikari, he now knew her as, began introducing herself and offering to cook something. Warm food, that would be wonderful as well.
Now the others were introducing themselves, or rather Kyle was introducing herself..and her twin. That one, Kyle, was rather odd. She seemed very taken with the women and inclined to mostly ignore him. Well, that was fine. Remi usually didn't have romantic inclinations towards women anyway. Well, he tried to stay away from such deep emotions as that regardless.
His attention shifted to the one called Excel and their eyes met. Remi held the gaze as long as he possibly could, which wasn't long at all. A few seconds and he averted his eyes, a hint of color coming to his cheeks. Embarrassment maybe? No most likely it was shame. Still looking at Exel though, but not quite meeting his gaze. He felt as if this man could see the monster inside of him if allowed him to look long enough. Remi didn't want anyone to see that monster.
Rather suddenly a coat was flying towards him, his reflexes were quick. They had to be, and though a coat wasn't usually a hard thing to catch anyway. Remi had reacted fast though, as if a weapon had just been tossed at him. His hands snatched the coat from the air, and for half a moment his neutral expression slipped to one of slight surprise. He certainly hadn't expected something like this.
He pulled the coat around his shoulders, clutched it closed about him, perhaps a bit too tightly, but his expression was again that neutral one."I'm called Nazar." There it was, that word that wasn't really a name. Just a word that meant 'evil eyes'. In the mouths of most it was almost the same as calling him a monster, but then. Remi was used to that. These people wouldn't care what his real name was, so why not just use the name that everyone in his realm called him by anyway?
His gaze shifted to Hikari, the symbols in his eyes glowing as he looked at her. "A warm meal would be very good now." Once his eyes left her, they stopped glowing, and he swept his gaze around to look at all of them once. Those eyes stopped on Isabella, but he said nothing. Just watching.
Hikari was talking about food, and an empty feeling in Isabella's stomach appeared. She didn't realize how hungry she was. The Inn would provide food magically, should one sit at a bar or table and merely request it, or think of it longingly. But if someone started cooking with the food and cooking utensils in the kitchen, the Inn would remain dormant in that aspect, and allow the person to do it.
She released Remi's hand when she began to feel tired. That was enough. While it was possible to give away all of her energy, and her entire life force, she had never come close. At least not willingly. All she and Remi could do now was eat and rest.
As the other introductions were passed around, Isabella thought it useless to give her own. Her name had been said. Still though, it was only proper. "I am Isabella," she chimed, offering a light smile. A moment later, their rescuer of sorts, tossed Remi his coat.
And only moments after that, his sister was draping her own around Isabella. She hadn't realized, until that moment, that she'd been clutching Remi's around her, doing no good while as wet as they were. "Thank you," she said with an involuntary shiver.
For a moment, she watched the sister who called herself Kyle. She was different. Constantly calling everything beautiful, cheery and talkative, too. Isabella had met many people in her life. Though not many were so quick to find so much beauty in life, or be so openly friendly. No, most people she met were dangerous, always with ulterior motives.
Remi was looking at her again, and she nodded her agreement. "Yes, a meal would be good." She took a couple of steps away, through the group. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'd like to find a room, and have a bath first." She had every intention of coming back to eat with everyone, and every intention of bringing back their jackets, cleaned and dried. It was the least she could do.
For a long moment, she stood there, unsure if she should venture off alone. But she spent her life alone. While there were always people around, she was very much alone. The way Remi seemed to live his life, too. Would he be okay here? She was torn, but she needed the bath, and she couldn't very well have any of these strangers hold her hand to take it. She wasn't a child. Then quit acting like one, the voice in the back of her mind said.
So they were speaking again. Isabella frowned. It was settled then. She bowed her head slightly, excusing herself, before turning away to walk down the hall. She would be just fine. Still, she trembled again, though not from the chill, and disappeared through the door to the main area.
Apparently, Hikari was not the only one who was hungry. As introductions were handed out and the idea of food was unanimously accepted, the young woman managed to relax a little. At least until the male called Nazar settled his gaze on her. She noticed right away that the symbols in his eyes were glowing, and felt slightly uncomfortable. What did that mean? Could he see what she was hiding? She shook off the notion as the woman- Isabella, she recalled- announced that she would find a room before dinner. Hikari nodded. "Okay. If anyone else wants to do the same, go ahead. I'll find the kitchen and start cooking so that there will be food by the time you're all ready to eat." She said, moving down the hall towards where she thought the kitchen would be. She felt partially relieved- Nazar and the male twin, Exel, made her slightly nervous. As for the female twin, Kyle...Hikari honestly didn't know what to think of her. She was even more confused by Calcifer's mental laughter when she thought that Kyle was pretty.
kyle (the older twin) & exel (the younger twin)
Actually, Exel wasn't one to care. He did take notice of the small, apparently needless things and had eyes for the very details. At least, that is what he was trained to do and it came to him as if a habit, observing others of distrust. He had seen many things in life which made him the way he was now, and truly he never showed a sign of wanting that to change. Kyle however, wasn't like that. Being born as the less talented and less intelligent, the responsibility determining their lineage’s existence was not given to him, it was the younger twin who had to carry the burden until the very end. That's why they grew up differently, and that's also why Kyle was in several aspects innocent. Unlike Exel.
Exel did not give his coat away for kindness' sake. And he had every intention to get it back afterward, despite he was unsure of when this 'afterward' will be. The one who called himself Nazar wasn't to be read easily, several experiences may or may not had hardened his individual. It might not be a piece of cake; and then there's another thing about the Isabella woman ability. Although they didn't seem to be bodyguard and master as it appeared to him at first impression, whatever they've been through behind the door had strengthen their emotional connection even if it's only a little. Exel was sure of when the time comes, they would both fight alongside each other; something that might turn out to be an advantage when used correctly.
"You want to find a room? But think about what happened just now... you can't just open a door, who knows what dangers may hide behind it? Wait, Isabella, don't go off alone--!" Kyle frowned at the time Isabella left the "group". He wasn't feeling any good by letting her go around alone; it didn't sit right on his skin. Then suddenly he whirled around, for the first time confronting Nazar face to face. "Hey you, aren't you going to stop her? Aren't you her guardian or some sort of friend?" Kyle who was obviously indignant about the man without even giving him time to speak up, furiously pointed at him than back to Isabella's back, as if saying he should follow her. As then Hikari also declared she would leave, Kyle was left clueless. "But but... wouldn't it be better if we stayed together? It's certainly is a good idea for a warm meal, but we need to-- need to--" While Kyle pondered and bit his nails to get his brain working, Exel gently patted his twin to calm him down. Kyle looked up. "Exel... won't they be in danger?" Kyle almost whined.
"Kyle, you ought to think about yourself first." Exel sighed. "Look, they're old enough to watch out for themselves, alright? Don't worry too much, you'll have wrinkles." Of course with such an argument, Kyle just had to stop thinking. His frown disappeared immediately. "Though I guess you're right. Why don't you help out in the kitchen? You're good at it right?" Kyle grinned proudly, slightly kissed his brother on the cheek and followed Hikari. "Hikariiii wait up, let me help you!"
For a mere second, one might be able to take a glimpse of Exel's rare smile, but it disappeared so soon after that it could be considered impossible to notice. Exel sighed again as he finally looked back to the man up front. "You have my apology for my twin's behaviour." He began while slowly approaching him. "Shall we follow her? You are worried, aren't you?" His eyes started to search for his glance, analyzing his eyes rarity. It satisfied him what he saw, and its whole very much mesmerized him. He was in clear that Nazar might understand his intent, but he didn't really care. "You have beautiful eyes." It came almost like a whisper which wasn't meant to allure, rather it was to make him realise. To realise and to confuse, perhaps, he wasn't sure himself. He stopped right in front of him, only staring. After awhile he stepped backwards, slightly confused of his own doing and went without a word into the direction where Isabella had disappeared to.
Isabella had the right idea. A hot bath, that sounded good. He would probably go take one himself, and be back down in time to eat. If he didn't fall asleep in the bath first, which he probably would. Isabella had shared her energy with him, and that was keeping him on his feet for now, he could probably cast a spell and still be mostly alright now. Maybe. Though he hoped there would be no more need for his spell casting. Remi didn't want it to end up the same way as it had before.
His thoughts were interrupted by the one called Kyle. Remi's body had tensed slightly, as if preparing for a physical assault instead of a verbal one. His expression remained neutral but he did glance at Isabella's direction. Kyle was right, he should go and scan her room to try and detect dangerous magic..but..that hadn't helped much in that room behind him. He had scanned and detected nothing dangerous. Well, no that wasn't right. His scans kept coming back 'unkown' or 'incomplete'. This place was very strange. Those lips parted to speak, but before he could, the other, Exel, was interrupting Kyle and distracting him with tasks in the kitchen.
Remi had to admit to himself, that Kyle was fairly amusing. For now at least, he watched Kyle dart off after Hikari and then his eyes settled on Exel. That man was approaching him, and Remi couldn't retreat, his back was already against the door. That body of his was still tense. "Your...sister?...is amusing." The way he said 'sister' he was still unsure that the other was really a girl, but the possibility was there.
He might've said more but he found his eyes caught by Exel's once again. This man. Remi would have to be wary of him. That neutral expression had slipped a moment. Eye widening slightly in surprise, as Exel complimented his eyes. Though he looked away quickly, bringing a hand up as if to shield them. Such an action was far to late, everyone had already seen his eyes. This man, he knew, didn't he? "My eyes are terrible." He decided it didn't matter if Exel knew or not.
That hand had lowered, that neutral expression had returned rather quickly and he was moving to follow Exel. That man's coat still pulled tight around himself. He caught up to Exel fairly easily. "They are the eyes of a monster."
Once Isabella was down the hall and through the door leading to those dangerous rooms, she was standing in the main area again. The front door was here, and the bar, and the door to the kitchen and the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs.
Oh! Her key! She'd received one earlier when she'd thought about sleeping here. The key had just materialized right before her. But, where was it now? Oh no! She must have lost it in the fiery field of lilies! She wondered where Remi's key might be, not considering she might have it in his jacket pocket.
No matter, the Inn materialized another bronze key, intricately designed to be original and one of a kind, right in front of her. She stared at it for a long moment. Could the Inn read minds? She glanced around the empty room. She also considered the possibility that what was inside those rooms down the hall, was not the Inn. The Inn so far as she could tell, had only been helpful; giving them drinks, keys and lighting the fire by the couches.
With that thought, comforting herself, she reached out and took the key from mid-air. "I'm sorry I lost your other key," she whispered, wondering who or what she might be talking to, and feeling silly. Perhaps she could have just thought her apology. Either way, she seemed to receive no response.
You should not stay in this place, the voice in her mind hissed, angry that if Isabella died, she would die, too. Isabella ignored it. Where were the rooms, she wondered. Surely the rooms down the hall were not meant to be places for guests to sleep. No, those must be doors to other dimensions, that perhaps held things not meant to escape.
She didn't think too into it, when the Inn answered her question by lighting the lanterns, one by one, that led up the staircase. Isabella crossed the wooden floor to stand at the bottom of the steps. Grey-white eyes looked up the staircase, curious. Placing one hand on the wooden railing, and holding the jackets around her with the other, Isabella began to climb the stairs.
They creaked and groaned under her bare feet. That was curious, too. Isabella was very light on her feet, very quiet. Immediately at that thought, the creaking ceased. Did the Inn do things, that it thought its guests expected, even if it meant altering reality? Perhaps what happened in that room...... no. Neither she nor Remi would have wanted such things, right?
She reached the top of the stairs where the lanterns were lit to, but the stairs wound around and kept going up. She looked up them, but they were dark. Isabella couldn't see through the darkness to see how far up they went. She was confused though. She'd thought that from the outside, the Inn only appeared to be two stories tall. Another illusion perhaps? More magic.
Part of her thought about climbing the stairs, but how would she see? She thought better of it, and started down the hall on the second floor. Each door on this floor was intricately designed wood, it's matching key carved down the face. Isabella matched her key to a door, and put the key into the lock. She hesitated, trembling again from cold and from anticipation, too a breath, and turned the key and twisted the knob.
((My post was getting too long, so I cut it short here! If you find her before I post her going inside, fine. If you don't, fine. I'll work with whatever you guys throw out. ))
Hikari was brought up short by the voice of Kyle, calling for her to wait up. She waited a second while the other girl caught up with her, and smiled. "You can cook, too? I'm glad. I'm okay at cooking, but I might need the help to feed all of us." She said in a friendly manner. In the back of her mind, she could hear Calcifer chuckling again, but still refusing to tell her why. Part of her wondered if this was what having a brother was like. The idea struck her to ask- after all, Kyle was a twin. "Hey, Kyle...what is it like to have a brother?" She asked as they finally found the kitchen. It was large, though it looked empty. The second she wondered where all the food was, suddenly the room was filled with every kind of food product imaginable. Mother of mercy! Does this place, like, read minds or something? She wondered mentally.
kyle (the older twin)
It didn't take long until Kyle catched up to Hikari. With a smile, he uttered words of gratitude as they walked side by side. There might be several woman who'd be offended by how the question of Hikari was posed, but as Kyle didn't bother with the details and is unmistakably a man at least in some aspects, he was just delighted that he was needed… by a beautiful woman, at that. "I may not look like it, but I cook a lot! I enjoy cooking as much as travelling. The excitement you know, is thrilling." Kyle explained, although still with his woman voice but with a tad bit boyish mannerism. On top of everything was though, that it was the only thing he was better in than Exel. Only that fact made cooking something special to him already.
The next question of her came rather unexpected. Kyle glanced over to her, slightly tilting his head. "Hmm? Why the question? Is it perhaps jealousy?", he asked while a wide grin slowly taken form on his face, obviously felt proud. A question categorized as rhetorical question, like most of them because soon after, he'll start talk again anyways. "You see, I am the older twin and therefore I am responsible for my brother. However, he doesn't act like a little brother at all! Always ordering me around-- now that I think about it, he gave me an order too just now!" Kyle blinked as he slowly realised what happened, again. For seconds it might seem that he would just burst out angry, but instead a gentle chuckle escaped his lips. "Sometimes it feels like he is just so over protective of myself, it's strange." Then he looked back to Hikari with a sweet smile. "He's my only family and I love him very much! I couldn't live without him... you know, it's very difficult to explain but, having a brother, a twin brother at that, is a blessing." Not long after that, they arrived at the kitchen. Kyle was glad that they didn't have to open doors to find one; he minded very much what happened to Isabella and that man. Wanted to just go into the action, Kyle started to search for ingredients, but didn't find much. "Hikari, found any--" He stopped in the middle of the sentences as suddenly so much food was in front of him that he could ever imagine. "What the hell--" His eyes widened in surprise as he took a few step backward, confused, shocked and frightened all together. "-- this is somehow... lucky!" He at first, poked nervously on the meat, checking if it's real. After verifying what there was, he was left stunned for awhile there. "I don't really get how exactly is this happening, but I am sure that we can make various of delicious dishes!" Suddenly all his energy came back and therefore he felt very motivated and pumped up to do the cooking. "Aprons--" He began, attempted to search for them but with them flying to him from nothing made him just speechlessly grab them from the air. "I don't know whether I should feel delighted or frightened...", Kyle honestly uttered while he eyed the two aprons. White aprons with red laces and a heart shaped motive. It hit perfectly Kyle's taste.
exel (the younger twin)
It was a useless attempt to hide his eyes. Exel believed the man would've realised it by now which was, despite faintly, displayed on his face and body tension. It wasn't new to Exel that he made those he confronts uncomfortable in their skin, but this man who called himself Nazar was slightly different from a standard being. It was slightly confusing, even the mention of his... 'sister'. Exel couldn't help but smile at his comment. "Yes truly, my... sister... is indeed that of a rare kind." He didn't see any need to reveal his twin's true gender; as it matters not to him. What would follow to such were possibly curious questions, which he would prefer to avoid. It'd only be a bother, since he didn't really understand that unique side of his twin just yet. Honestly, he wasn't planning to try getting it anyways.
Nazar avoided his glance and ran away again. Perhaps that should be the time Exel lost interest, but he didn't. After his excuse that apparently his eyes were terrible, Exel thought the subject was dropped. It came to him as surprise that Nazar approached him and picked the topic up again. Shouldn't he get that he knows of his eyes by now? That he might steal them away by force? He ought to know the best how many demands exist in the black market for his eyes. Now, why? Despite the endless questions circling in Exel's head he kept calm while he walked nonchalantly and entered the main area without a single word. After awhile he finally spoke: "Is that the reason for how you call yourself?" The question was posed without eye contact. Exel kept his glance to where Isabella disappeared to that lead him to a staircase, lighted by lanterns. In front of the staircase, he frozed, then slowly turned around to confront Nazar. "Nazar..." The words left his lips like a spell. "If you hate your eyes so much, why don't you give them to me?" One could feel a slight irritation within his voice. Exel wasn't really sure of what he was saying, but he couldn't help it. He didn't understand the man's intentions. Was he expecting comforting words? From him? He almost laughed in his thoughts. Exel, despite his surroundings that kept on pressuring him to do what he disliked, took pride in his whole existence.
Then a sigh was heard and without any other words climbed up the stairs. The wood creaked like crazy, as if it would break apart any second from his weight. However, he was so deeply in thought that he didn't even perceive it and kept on climbing until he reached the second floor. He waited for Nazar there, standing still in the dim light of the lanterns.
