In other news, I'm really upset to find out that people have been abusing the quest raffle. . . it abuses the staff, the economy, and the community as a whole. I thought people on Mene were better than that. Sigh.

Ugh, I know, I saw the post and just went "Bahhh, idiot..." I thought we were better than the people on gaia. And that this has been going on for a long time? UGH. Can't people be grateful for this opportunity and the niceness of the staff and not try to scam the community?

Scamming the community, ruining the economy . . . no telling how screwed up it is because they sold the items for an insane amount of profit. They could have been the ones attributing to the inflation. I know that inflation happens normally, but if this has happened over the course of months, there's no telling.

It just pisses me off that people take advantage like that. The staff works hard, and scamming users, staff or otherwise, is by no means acceptable EVER.

I could rant all day. Ugh.

I hope they're dealt with. I know I try way to damn hard in that raffle to have my chances at the items possibly screwed over just because someone wants to enter and sell the items after they get them. Just the thought of someone winning an item that I was also trying to go for in the raffle . . . I know they'll probably keep it disclosed, which is the right thing to do, but still, if I found out it was someone that entered for an item I entered for but I lost, I will be severely pissed off to an nth degree.

I haven't been able to enter because of my non-active quest thread, so I don't have that type of resentment.
But right now I'm thinking, "Thank god they caught it now and not even later".

Yeah. I had a mini hiatus, so I haven't entered the past couple of raffles. But it should be active enough again since I've been back a few months and have slowly been questing in the process, getting gold, etc.

I tend to stay out of the whole drama of Mene. I remember a couple of years ago with a user arguing with the staff back when Josh was admin, I think . . . To be honest, I forget her username, but I'll remember what her avatar looked like. @_@ People dressed as her avatar exactly to show rebellion against the staff. It was some pretty messed up crap that people tried to pull. I stayed out of it but totally have the staff's back.
