Ever had that feeling you shouldn't tell someone anything even when they are your 'mentor' in an entirely foregin place?Yeah, well, it was kinda like that right now.A huge..story was behind Ellys full fledged mark which only a few hours ago was just a cresent moon.Well, during this little freak show, she had ended up bumping her head on a rock.Normal right?Oh it gets better.Ellys soul had left her body and went to see the goddess Nyx.She had quiet litterly kissed her forhead and labeled Elly as her eyes and ears.What was that supose to mean?By the time she left and her soul returned to her body, she was in the car on her way to the house of night.Still coughing.Oh, did I mention if Elly didn't make it to the house of night she'd die?Elly was only a fledgling but something wasn't exactly...right about her.In the car, she only ended up taking a nap because it was along drive.And between the coughing, runny eyes, and stuffed up nose.I'd consider it a blessing.Her parents called her the 'anti christ' right when she walked through the door.Well, not her mom.You see, we've had this weirdo step dad for 6 years and hes one of them guys who believe vampyres are evil.He went even as far as to captivate my mom.Sound like a jerk, right?Its fine.I had plans for him.The car ride was over soon enough, and two people ended up bring'ing me into...a hospital?Thats what it smelled like.Although when Ellys eyes opened.Her grandma was at the edge of the bed, and another woman was beside her bed.'Ah, here we are.Now shes awake.'The woman stated as she looked over Ellys bandage.She didn't look like a nurse..'Elly, I have to go.Is there anything you need?'Her grandma stated simpley.Staring at the completely fledged vamp right on next to me.I hope this was normal, but I could feel power flowing off her skin and it was quiet..well the feeling was gut wrenching.'Shes healing fast...Oh excuse me.I am Neferet.'The red head woman stated.I swear, she looked like a goddess.It was undescribable.Slowly siting upward.Elly grabed her head and glanced at Neferet.'Hello.'Elly stated, wise eyes staring at her mark and back to her.Then Elly turned her eyes on grandma who hadn't left yet.Thats when Neferet looked at her.'I know you dont trust me with Elly, but to show that you can, I will take Elly on as my apprentese.'Neferet stated, standing up and she put her..what was it?Left fist over her heart?Or whatever they called it.Standing up, Grandma had done this aswell as they bowed to each other.Elly quickly gave her Grandma a hug.Now this wasn't entirely what happend, but hey, I might aswell skip to the part where I get to my dorm...right?Neferet had pretty much showed her everything.She didn't quiet trust her, but that was but her gut feeling.When I walked into the dorm, they're was WAYYY too many blondes.But one stuck out.Neferet called her Aphrodite.But when I was about to say something, this chick cut me off.'Listen, I dont care how special you are.Just stay away Joseph.K?Your not the next big thing, infact, your just another fledgling.'Aphrodite commented, glaring at Elly.Elly chuckeled.Had she been quiet this whole time?Walking into her dorm, Aphrodite stood in the doorway, waiting for me to comment.'Hey Aphrodite, get your skanky hide out of you.Your stinking up the place.'Elly commented, slamming the door right in her face.Thats when she glanced over her shoulder to see some girl...who was named Stevie Rae?Yeah, her dorm mate.Giving a weak smile, they had a quick conversation about how and what she just did.Now, walking into the bathroom she took a shower - she proably looked like a disaster.Geting out, Elly threw on a plaid skirt,faded white shirt that came around her shoulders and,ballet shoes.Her watch on her wrist, abit of make-up on.Elly told Stevie Rae she'd meet up with her later as she left the girls dorm and everyone behind all together.And she started out to just well, look around.

Joseph looked up having been trying to walk by, well atempting but failing as Aphrodite stopped him. He sighed inwardly and then looked up his bright eyes flashing and his ungodly beauty making most around stare. He kept his hair long for a reason, to hide his face. Everyone seemed to stop and stare except Aphrodite of course, who always seemed to try and pay him back when she couldn't seduce him. Silly child. He shook his head and looked her dead in the eyes. "I did not come for you... Don't be so full of yourself." he said coldly his silky voice as chilling as a freezing river. He then turned away and began walking again. Out of many he had chosen to change his name. He had been named Hades originally, his powers a such that which most feared, unless you were Aphrodite of course... She didn't seem to get it threw her thick skull that looks from him killed, literally. He did not care to be feared of so he had changed his name, and only the elders and same aged ones as him called him by his true name. Feeling a presence he looked up seeing that newer fledgling. She was different from most... And she gave off a different vibe from all others. He stopped for a second, meeting her eyes with his for a spilt second. He then turned away and kept on walking. He needed to go to the dungeon soon. Cerberus got annoyed when his supper was late.

Okay, ill admite it.When Ellys eyes looked up to see..what she guessed to be Josephs...it was like looking at a male modle.No wonder why Aphrodite was soo goo goo for him.Taking in a stealthy breath, she watched as he walked on away.Where was he heading?Abit curous, but intimidated, Elly went on ahead with her look-around plan.Plus, she had so many people to see and she wanted to know where all her classes were at before everything started.And Neferet said something about a cat choosing us a owner...how odd.Shruging it off, Elly walked around.Very few people were out here, expectly..no they were vamps.They were proably off do whatever vamps do.Elly didn't expect all of this to be so easy.Show up.Get to know some people.Meet the top hoe.And walk around.Although, Elly could do without the meeting-hoe thing.A few times her almost ex-boyfriend, Heath, and her ex-bestfriend,Savannah, would slip into her mind.They hand't texted her or even tried to contact her ever since she got here.So now, this place would be her new home.Weather Elly wanted it to be or not.Taking in a stealthy sigh, she kept on walking.Meeting interesting teachers and finding electives she might take.This was going to be one hell of a year.

Josephhadnt gotten too far when suddenly he had been pounced on. Looking up at the three headed dog he rolled his eyes. "Really Cerberus... I was almost there." he said and sighed. He chuckled when the dog gave an echoin bark and he gently pushed him off. "Alright alright, relax boy." he said and smirked. He lovingly scratched the huge dog's one head and then the other two before showing the bag full of raw meat. He waved it infront of the dog entrancinf it and he laughed lightly, the sexy voice usually drawing many but not with Cerberus around. "Now come on, we need to get you back in the dungeon before the other teachers freak out again.... You know you serious could get me in more trouble then practically anything else I could do." he said and shook his head as the dog barked again happily.

Elly heard..a dog barking?Thinking it was nothing but her imagination, she continued on walking.For some reason, Elly kept on thinking that this was a nightmare she'd soon wake up from.The school was so..ancient looking.As you walked down the halls, they had the small candle light.I guess when your a vampyre you dont need much light.Inwhich she found that to be true because when she had been marked the sun light seemed too much.Even with sun glasses on.Elly took slight curiousity to where Nerfert had went but then again, not so much.Walking about, she soon came outside.There was a church not too far off.Or should I say a temple built for Nyx.It was beautiful.Touching the fully colored mark on her forhead, she stared for quiet some time.But soon got ahold of herself.Elly then bumped into trouble.Aka, Aphrodite and her little followers.'Hello Elly.'That false, soft tone stated.'Hi Aphrodite.'Elly stated in monotone.'Tonight the we're having the dark daughters ritual abit earlier, and well, your invited.'She stated, slipping the inventation into Ellys hands and walking off without another word said.It was as if she didn't even have a choice.Elly rolled her eyes.Thats when the dinner bell rang.And by dinner bell, I litterly meant dinner bell.Thinking it would just be filled with raw meat and blood, she started back for the dinning hall.Thats when Stevie Rae caught up with her.'Hey Stevie..uh.I know this is abit sudden but Aphrodite invited me so some, ritual.Do you know what it is?'She asked, abit curious.Well, wouldn't you be curious if you just got invited into something like this by the top ho?'She invited you?!'Stevie rae proclaimed.'Well, basically its kinda like the rituals we have.We call the winds, pass a drink around that stand in the circle, and before you know its done with.Im not that good at discribing it, but its complicated.So why did the hag from hell invite you?'Stevie rae asked, with eye brows raised.Her county accent could get annoying sometimes but not as much.'I dont know..ill see how it is..WOAH!Real food!'Elly proclaimed as garlic filled the air.Spagetti.Mm.'I thought vampyres couldn't eat garlic?'Elly asked, staring at Stevie.'No, we can.Also, we dont have fangs.And, uh, we do need blood to survive.'Stevie Rae stated as she paid for her lunch, leading Elly over towards they're table.Or the table they sat at.This was going to be one hell of a year.

Joseph put Cerberus back in the dungeon and heard the dinner bell. Smiling he enteredthe dinner hall a bit late, his long hair sweeping behind him. The girls seemed to all look at him and then he sighed. Looking around he found a table with the new girl Elly and Stevie. They seemed pretty alone and that was okay with him. He sat and smiled at them widely. "Do you mind if I sit with you two?" he asked charmingly and smiled with handsomeness.

Woah, whos voice was th-.Talk about wanting to run away.This guy was GORGEOUS.Glancing upwards at Joseph, Elly kept quiet for a few moments until Stevie anwser for her.'Go for it.'Stevie Rae added.You could tell by the look on her face that she was just as awe struck as she was.Did this guy really want to sit with them?Not to mention Aphrodite was right over at the next table with her hoe crew.Ignoring Aphrodite and finding this to be quiet a scene, Elly acted casual and took a bite out of her spagettie and tried not to stare at Joseph.After all, everyone had been staring at her mark all day.All because she was a 3rd former with a completely colored in mark, people wanted to know how she ended up like this.Like this.One moment human, the next a vampyre.Hopefully this life will be worth living.

"Thank you so much." he said smoothly and sat across from them. His movements were smooth and elegant as he put some spegetti on his plate and put his napkin in his lap. He then pulled a black ribbon from a random dark splotch that appeared and tied back his loose strands of hair neatly. He ate a few bites of spegetti before taking a drink and licking off his lips, and wiping them off. Looking up at Elly with his lime green eyes he smiled slowly. "I just realized we have not been formally introduced, I am Joseph Fang." he said and held out his hand to her smiling charmingly. He really was enjoying pissing Aphrodite off right about now. He didn't like her one bit since she had tried seducing him. Nope, she was pretty much on his hate list.

Elly had avoided speaking until he had put his hand out and said his name.So this was Joseph.No wonder why Aphrodite wanted her to stay away.Trying to not sound like a squeak toy, she shook his hand.'Im Elly.Nice to meet you Joseph.'She stated.It seemed as though she had just said the words a few minutes ago.Now feeling rusteling beside her.She could tell that Stevie was about to get up.She leaned over and whispered in Ellys ear.'Good luck.''See you two later.'Stevie said with a light shrug as she dumped her food and went back off to hang with her other friends.Was it just me, or was she trying to match them up?Feeling nervous.Elly then took note that they're hands were still together.Quickly pulling her hand away, she could feel herself biting the inside of her cheek.Talk about nervous, she could praticully feel Aphrodite breathing down her neck.

Jpseph smiled hearing her name and then kissed the back of her hand before she pulled away. "its a pleasure." he said and then looked her over a bit before picking up his fork again. "You are the one the other teachers were talking about, I must say that it is a bit surprising that another one has a full symbol so soon." he said and then smirked. "Except for you and me of course." he said and then brushed away his hair smooth;y to reveal his mark before letting it fall where it willed again. "They still haven't figured it out it seems but then again they havent asked about my mark sense I kindly told them to shut the hell up... If I remember right." his eyes aglow with miscief for a second before he took another bite of his food.

The feel of his cool lips against her hand was abit...nerve racking.No male she had ever met had done that, expectly Heath.The way Joseph stared at her, it almost made her want to jump out of her seat and run off to go rag on Aphrodite and tell Stevie they actually had a conversation.Talk about typical girl thoughts.'Apparently I might be something special, or so they say.'Elly said with a smooth shrug, taking another bite of her food.Although she wasn't that hungery anymore.Infact, her stomach felt all fluttery and she couldn't stop staring.For a moment she was about to say, I got to go, until she felt Aphrodites grip on her shoulder.Glancing over at her, she raised an eyebrow.'Can I help you?'Elly mused, with a innocent tone.'Well, im just making sure your coming to the dark daughters ritual tonight.It would be ashame to not have you there.Nerfret said you would.'Aphrodites hateful eyes glistened as she stared down at her.Elly sighed.'Ill be there.'She stated, turning around back to her plate of food.The butterflys was gone, and she kept her eyes down and adverted from Joseph.Not wanting to look like a complet freak.'Hope to see you there Joseph.'The hag from hell stated as wasp and ugly came along and they walked on out.Little bitch..

Joseph smiled and was about to say something when Aphrodite arrived. He raised an eyebrow slightly seeing the way she spoke to Elly and then looked up at her himself. "Wouldnt miss it for the world." he said smoothly as if he really cared but asthey walked away, he frowned and put two fingers to his right temple. "Now I must go.... I don't want anything to happen to you...." he said and smiled at her reasuringly. "Dont worry, I'll have your back... Aphrodite isn't very, pleasent to new students." he said smoothly and finished his speggetti and wiped off his lips. "Unless you do not wish for me to have your back." he said slowly looking at her curiously.

Elly blinked a few times.Just as quickly he came, he was leaving.'I dont mind.'Elly added, with a light smile and for the second time, looking up at him.Her stomach twisted and churned about.As if Aphrodite could actually do anything to hurt her.Pft.Standing, Elly went on ahead and dumped her tray.She wanted to go see Stevie.Plus, they had to go some ritual at Nyx's church.Yeah, she remebered Nyx.

'Grand ma..!'Elly called out, walking up the hill on her grand mothers farm.She ran away from home, seeking help.Coughing, with blood shot eyes she kept on looking.But then a fog started up, and having abit of indian in her, she could here them talking.The spirits.Now running, afraid but so curious, she tript over a root and ended up hiting her head on a rock.Feeling cold and light, she then looked down.She had just left her body.But how?Now hearing a sound...a beautiful wonderful sound.It was her calling.Grand ma, that was the first thought to come to her mind.Not wasting any time, she went towards the sound and then ended up in a cave.This just gets more and more freaky.In the cave, was a creek and may I add she was standing right in it.Trudging through the water, two huge hunks of rocks opened aside, revealing the beautiful Nyx.'Welcome my daughter, Elly Redbird.'Her smile so soft, so tender.Elly could almost truth her instantly as she was ordered to come forward and Nyx stept from her thorn.Kissing Ellys mark, she whispered.'I claim you as my eyes and ears, Elly redbird.You have my blessings for the journey you are to take.Make wise decisions and watch for the good and the bad, because you never know..'And right before Elly could get a word out, she was swept right back into her body.At the hospital.

Snaping out of it, Elly gave Joseph a light wave and turned out of the lunchroom, so much was about to come her way.

Joseph smiled and waved back at her and watched he leave. He then took his leave himself and was about out of the great hall when a bunch of guys surrounded him. "Right..." he whispered remembering his duties and glanced back at Elly before walking off being escorted by the men. They were like folowers so to speak. They were other dark weilding beings who bowed at his feet. He walked towards the temple, the hades temple. When he reached the steps he kneeled and shed his clothing upon his body and darkness swept around him, clothing him in a black tunic. His eyes glowed almost evily as he stepped forward up the stairs and the followers were soon behind him and entering the shrine they all made the sign of hades upon their chests as Joseph's mark upon his forehead burned. "Master of darkness..... These souls seek to enhance their knowing.... To understand the dark death of your powers..." he said his beautiful voice ringing making the others fall to their knees and weep. "By your will my lord... Let me enhance their vision of the dark..." he called out and the temple shook. All the candles faded and the darkness faded. Joseph laid upon the ground his own blood smeared upon his cheek and down his neck and chest his eyes seeing nothing. "Drink..." hehissed and the guys inched closer and one by one they drank from his life blood and fled the temple seeing the anger upon which Hades revealed to them for coming to his presious desiple. Joseph then blinked finding the shadowy finger of his godly master who lifted his body and slowly helped him dress in his regular clothes. His vision was quite hazy as he watched his master. "Do not be so swayed by the talk of men.... Your powers have not het even reached their peak... Yet no one had the right to call you an equal or talk to you.... Except for the new daughter of Nyx." he said smoothly and Joseph looked at him in a drugged surprise. "Elly?" he whispered horsely, his throat on fire. "Yes... Watch her closely. Though Nyx and I are neither allies nor eniemies I wish to see if not yiu can persway her eyes into becoming friends... It would be best for the drawing danger." he said and Joseph fell against the god his legs giving out. "You have been denying yourself sleep and nurisment again..." Hades whispered knowingly. "I was fasting for you..." Joseph whispered. "Dont... Keep yourself strong and keep returning to my temple... That is prayer and payment enough..." he whispered and suddenly Joseph woke on the steps of the temple fully clothes and the followers gone.

Elly walked and walked until finally she got to her dorm where Stevie ofcourse, wasn't.Although after a few minutes, right when Elly was about to lay down and think about lunch, here comes Stevie walking right on through the door.'Come on, your going to be late!'Stevie praticully shouted as she grabed Elly right off the bed and they started out in the hallway towards Nyx's church.Not everyone here had to go, but mostly everything did.As you walked into the church, they would trace a penetagram on your forhead.Something Elly wasn't up for.'Hey Stevie...doesn't a penetagram resemble evil and the devil and all that jazz?'Elly whispered as they started walking up the stairs to the church.'No.It resmbles the elements and the will to respect them.'Stevie whispered in return as they then walked in.A wonderful smoke filled the church from inscents lit all over.As you walked in, a woman held a boul of oil.As Elly stept forward, she traced a pentagram on her forhead.'Bless thy be.'The woman whispered as she traced the pentagram.'Blessed be.'Elly whispered as the pentagram was intraced on her forhead and she was led into the church.There, Neferet and a few other high ranking prests were.Wise beyond our years.We were all just kids.Elly took a seat near the middle next to Stevie, some gay kid named Damion and others.But Elly wasn't in the mood of talking, the only thing on her mind was Aphrodite and the next ritual coming up.

Joseph brushed himself off as he slowly approached the church of Nxy. He kept his breathing steady knowing he was as unsure of the church as it was of him. He bit his lip softly before asending ghe steps and tracing the mark upon his brow. "Blessed be..." he whispered softly as he closed his eyes. He spotted Elly but felt arms wrap around him and found Aphrodite huggin him. She silently led him to sit with her and he did, unable to be rude or mean in this church. He did not want to displease anyone. He then closed his eyes trying to concentrate on prayer and quiet but Aphrodite intwined their hands making his eyes snap open. He turned his burning gaze to her and nearly growled, making her squeek softly and let him go. He settled himself again and closed his eyes not wantingto be disturbed.

Elly took note Joseph had come in.But the ritual soon begun.Nerfret had done a beautiful dance, and we all soon had to stand.North.East.South.West.First, they started in the north.Down in the center of the room, a pentagram had been placed and the candle had been placed at the point.North resembled air.And as Nerfret spoke very few words, Elly swore she could feel the wind running through her hair and licking her skin.Although when she glanced around, she didn't see no one else experiencing the same thing she was.Now.They turned to the East.East resembled earth.A green candle was sat on the next point, and something else happend.The earth beneath her feet, it felt as though it was moving.Proably a mini earth quake.Yet then again, no one was experiencing this.Just her.Now, turning to the south.A red candle was sat on the next point, and she begun to get so hot she was sweating.Another glance.Everyone was fine.Was something wrong with her?Taking in a steady breath, they then turned to the west.Water.Elly couldn't exactly describe how she felt, but she could feel small drips of water on her skin.Now, they finally turned again.Everyone facing back down to where the pentagram lay.A candle of all colors was sat at the last point, it stood for light.Clensing.At that moment, she felt so light on her feet it was astonishing.Then, Nerfret said her last words, saying goodbye to the spirits and the candles went out.Thats when everyone started to shuffle about.Elly took in a deep breath, now having to go to the dark sisters ritual.Would it be anything like this one?Elly didn't bother to mingle with everyone, she had to hurry up and get to the dark sisters ritual.Although she had a bad feeling about it.Not wasting anymore time, Elly stood up and soon left the church.The hall was still clouded with the smoke from the incense as she went outside and begun walking in the direction she had been pointed off to.Nothing to be there but Aphrodite, and her hoes to be waiting for her.And possibley, Joseph.

Joseph closed his eyes as he listened to the words of the priestess taking in everything he could. He then opened his eyes and was surprised seeing Elly. "Is she that in tune?" he whispered to himself as he watched her and then shook his head as it ended. He hadn't moved his eyes from her and now he realized the ritual was done. He was one of the first ones out, being so close to the entrance, and having Aphrodite pulling him along. He stood behind Aphrodite and her little friends staring at a statue for awail until he felt Elly's presence. He stepped forward the smoke swirrling around him as he flashed a smile at her. He said nothing though as he stood and his eyes glanced over elly, checking her out before flitting over to something else just past her it seemed.

Elly felt her arm bump against someone elses and only to look up and find sir, broad and hamson walking beside her.Elly raised her eyebrows.'Hey Joseph.'Elly stated simpley as she kept on walking until they were out of the church.Aphrodite proably went on ahead to the ritual to get ready with her spoiled little hoes.

Joseph turned to Elly feeling her bump him and then smiled widely. "Hello Elly." he said and then brushed the shaggy hair out of his face. "It seemed that the ritual today really seemed to move you.... I was quite impressed... You really are connected to your goddess well..." he said smoothly and then blushed slightly realizing that he had revealed he had been watching her the whole time. "Everyone tells me I do the same when in the temple of Hades... But I've never seen another so deeply connected." he said covering himself up as he looked into her eyes.

Elly blinked a few times.Oh, hell.Had people bee watching her too?Blushing slightly, Elly brushed her hair behind her ear.'Really?I thought I was imagining it.'Elly remarked with a light laugh.She couldn't quite 'glance' at Joseph because his eyes were dead locked onto hers.For a moment, if she could have it her way, she'd kiss those lips that spoke to her.But one, that was moving way too fast.Two, as far as she knew him and Aphrodite pretty much had there own thing, and third.Why would he want her?I mean, seriously.Joseph was pretty much the most popular and cutest guy in school.All the girls wanted him.What would make Elly so different?'So this dark daughters ritual thing tonight..see you there?'Elly reminded, as if giving him a slight reminder that Aphrodite still wanted him.

Joseph smiled and nodded. "Yeah... And don't worry, no one else was watching.... It's just that ritual doesn't hit me like the rest of you." he said and then smiled charmingly. "So I like to see how it affects others." he said and then ran a hand threw his hair. She had beautiful eyes, and her facial build was perfect for her body shape. He just wondered why she kept her hair short. He was about to ask when she reminded him of the ritual tonight. "Right..." he said and then gently pulled the back of her head forward, and planted a soft kiss upon her forehead. "And for the records, I'm not dating anyone." he said with a wink and then walked away putting his hands in his pockets. Her scent was amazing, and it was something that lingured with him as he walked.

Was that her face geting hot?Elly swore she was blushing so bad after that.Walking abit too fast with her hair in her face, she praticully ran all the way to her dorm.Abit too excited to tell Stevie Rae.Joseph Fang had just kissed her forhead!Man, Elly felt like a fan girl.Still blushing, she slipt on a black dress and black shoes.Yeah, Aphrodite had given it to her since she didn't have any dresses.Elly wasn't one to dress up.And considering Stevie Rae wasn't in the room so Elly went ahead and started heading towards the dark daughters ritual.She walked down a path, it seemed like the kind of place you'd go to hide out and get away from people.What exactly was Aphrodite planing?Taking in a deep breath, Elly nocked on the huge two doors.They seemed ancient.Soon, Aphrodite opened the door and chuckeled.'Come on in..Elly.'Her voice was nothing but an annoying seductive tone.Steping into the room, the scent of weed and many other drugs filled her lungs as the door was closed behind her.So this is how the hags celebrated?
