So I've recently discovered this movie, but I'm not sure if I should watch it. I hear it was a box office failure when it came out, but at the same time it has created a cult following. And personally, I just think it looks kind of cool. :sweat:

If anyone had watched it here, would you recommend it to me?

Great movie, lots of Jim Henson puppets, lots of David Bowie music. Lots of silly antics, oh and lots of shots of Bowie in skin tight leggings. Be prepared for a fun movie with crotch shots. Personally I enjoy this movie, perhaps it's the fairytale come to life aspect, maybe it's the fantastic puppets and characters, maybe, just maybe it's the Bowie crotch close ups... No it's definitely not that last one.... or is it? XD

I adore this move from beginning to end it has catchy music a great plot and what better moral to the story then be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. I'm sure you will fall in love with all of the characters as i have.

I love this movie! You should definitely watch it! Also you should watch Jim Henson's, The Dark Crystal. It was made around the same time and also has a good storyline too.

You should enjoy this movie as it is definitely a classic and the fact that David Bowie is in it makes it interesting. It's a movie to really be enjoyed. I liked it as a child and like it now as an adult.

I've seen this movie when I was little. I have the VHS and I absolutely love it. :) My friend has the DVD she recently got last year, the last one too. I also have the OST and they're all amazing. I would hope you'd enjoy it, I certainly did. ^^

I watched it when I was younger and I thought it was really good. I watched it again when I was older and it wasn't quite as good but still a good watch. It definitely had it's day and warrants at least one play through.

Did I mention the constant Bowie in tight pants and a codpiece. And the copious amounts of crotch close ups?

Definitely a classic. Brilliant movie albeit a little outdated. Regardless, it warrants a play through and I'm sure you'll love it just as we did :)

Oh my gosh, Labyrinth was my favorite movie for such a long time. It's definitely still in my top ten! I love it so much, it's so classic Jim Henson.

I found it a little scary when I was a little girl, but in a good way. I guess I could say that about any Jim Henson movie. XD There used to be a whole website dedicated to David Bowie's bulge in that movie. I wonder if it still exists, hehe.

I love this movie!! David Bowie is great in it, and it's a real fun watch (catchy music and all included XD)- and yes, Bowie in tight pants lol I really liked the story of it too, it really is a classic for me.

Oh my god I love this film I used to own it on video when I was a kid, David Bowie looks so amazing in it.
And I love hoggle and the weird little caterpillar you see at the start of the labyrinth <3
Tempted to buy this again on dvd...

I first watched it as a kid and I remembered that I loved it so when I saw it stores, I bought it and made my husband watch it with me. It wasn't as good as I remember.

I personally like "The Dark Crystal" better. I wish I owned that one.
