Hi everyone! Decided that I needed people to help hold me to doing something... anything... to getting healthier. I'm horrible at exercising and prone to over eating the most unhealthy thing in the house.


Age: 24 (25 on Dec 15)
Weight: 226
Height: 5 feet 7.75 inches
Clothes: XL or size 16/18 in American sizes.
Trivia: Not small boned but not large boned either.

I've decided that walking would be the easiest place to start. In addition to that, I want to try either the 200 sit-up challenge or the 100 pushup challenge. Will print week one of both off tonight.

Short Term Goals!
Goal: Walk 5 miles a week.
Goal: Lose 3 pounds bimonthly.
Goal: Do situps or pushups 3 times a week minimum.

Long Term Goals!
Goal: By March, I want to weigh under 200 pounds.
Goal: By March, I want to easily walk a mile in 10 minutes.
Goal: By March, I want to do 200 sit-ups or 100 pushups.
Goal: By March, I want to comfortably be wearing size 14/16.

December Work-Out Log and Notes


Week One (Dec 1-7)
Dec 3 at 10:15- Girl Push-Ups (2,3,2,2,5), Crunches (3,4,3,3,5) Yay! I started! But it was hard... am I so out of shape?!
Dec 5 at 12:25 to 12:40 I went walking and got just under a mile in. It is so cold out! 24 F.
Dec 5 at 8:40pm- Girl Push-Ups (3,4,2,3,5)
Dec 6 at 12:20pm - Crunches (5,6,3,5,6)

Didn't Meet Goals.

Week Two (Dec 8-14)
Dec 8 - Walked a mile
Dec 8 - Crunches (6,8,6,6,7)

Didn't Meet Goals.

Week Three (Dec 15-21)
Weight Check: no scale available :(
Dec 18 - Walked 25 minutes.
Dec 19 - Crunches (4,5,4,4,5)
Dec 20 - Walked 33 minutes.

Didn't Meet Goals.

Week Four (Dec 22-28)
Dec 23 - Walked for 30 minutes

Beginning Clothing Size: 18 women's... and it is snug
Beginning Mile Weekly Average: 20 minutes

Week One (Dec 29 - Jan 4)
Dec 30 - Walked for two hours on Virginia Beach (Just over two miles.)

Dec 31 - Girl Push-Ups (4,6,4,4,6) ((I hate my body. I hate my size. I will build muscle to consume the fat.))
Dec 31 - Crunches (6,9,6,6,9) ((I will lose the flappiness!!))
Dec 31 - Elliptical for 5 minutes on level 4.

Jan 1 - Walked a mile in 20 minutes on a treadmill.
Jan 1 - Girl Pushups (5,6,4,4,7)
Jan 1 - Crunches (7,9,6,7,11)

Week Two (Jan 5 - 11)

Week Three (Jan 12-18)
Weight Check: 227 pounds

Jan 13 - Indoor Bike 11 minutes
Jan 13 - Girl Pushups (10,7)

Jan 14 - Indoor Bike 10 minutes

Jan 15 - Indoor Bike 20 minutes

Week Four (Jan 19 - 25)

Jan 21 - Indoor Bike 20 minutes

Feb 18 - Walmart walking 1 hour

Feb 20 - 2 reps of 10 leg lifts

Feb 21 - 1 rep of 20 leg lifts and 1 rep of 10 leg lifts

Week Four (Feb 23-March 1)

Goal: Walk 5 miles a week?

I will definitely help in anyway that I can. I am hoping to be loosing weight myself. My job helps, (never thought it was going to be quite the workout).

Okay got the first night of exercise in. I did small numbers several times. Sadly, it was really hard to do. And with cold weather coming, the likelihood of walking goes down. I must walk tomorrow!

biggest thing to do is cut out a lot of salt out of your diet. eat healthy and smaller portions and do exercise there are exercise you can do at home too. like walk up and down stairs if you have them.

I eat smaller portions (stomach shrunk in South Korea) but I am grazing often. And it isn't healthy usually what I eat. I can't seem to help myself. I was deprived of normal food for two years. Now I have access to whatever I want and ...

We don't have stairs but I might be able to walk down to the corner and back. It is a quarter mile there and a quarter mile back.

Hey all! I got those crunches and girl push ups finally in... will go update my chart. It is so cold outside. I need to go walking, but... cold. Would half mile stretches be okay? How many should I do and how far apart from each other? Can I warm up inside between those half miles?

Sounds like you're having the same problem as me. So hot I can't go outside XD

Half mile would be perfectly okay and yes you may warm up between them. I would say an hour to two hours between would be okay (I'm lazy. sue me. XD ) but it really depends. How many miles are you trying for each day?
