It is the year 2061 Earth has just received a message from the deep reaches of space. Alien life forms. They were not hostile, infact, they were quite friendly. The message spoke of them wishing to visit Earth due to their curious nature to better understand the universe. They came from a galaxy five thousand light years away. To us that would take more than one life time to get to, but to the aliens they had special craft that made light years look like two miles, due to their advanced technology.


When they came to Earth they came up with a plan in which Earth could aid them in understanding our universe, space exploration. IT had been 30 years since humans gave up on space due to economical reasons, but with the help of these outsiders it sparked the very spirit we had lost so long ago.

The idea was to build a rather large space station that would act as a living quarters during this time of exploration. It functioned as a school that would house all manner of creatures that desired to study space. However, out space is vast and mysterious, many things existed that could devastate entire worlds.

One of those is the Black Hole. Perhaps the most curious space anomaly to ever exist. One that would change the way exploration would be handled...

It had happened on the day of the station launch. A might black hole appeared in between Earth and Mars there were warning signals flaring, as the strength of this black hole was incredibly massive. No one actually knew what lied beyond them, the gravitational pull of this anomaly was quite strange as well. Usually black holes acted as a vacuum, but instead of anything going in, something came out.

A large asteroid. The likes no one had ever seen hurtled towards Earth faster than anyone could predict. It might have been the force of the black hole that propelled it. When it collided with Earth, the damage was immense.

That asteroid housed some kind of creature, a very hostile one, it broke apart the asteroid that it made home, and it was not alone. The number of these creatures out numbered the human population. These creatures were fast, aggresive, and had no understanding of the word 'mercy' anything alive in their path be it human, plant, or animal was destroyed.

The space station had to execute a quick emergency launch, thanks to the aliens they tried their hardest to make sure humans and animals that were spared were evacuated.

However, for humanity, it was their darkest day as the planet they loved became desolate they gazed out of the shuttles' windows to see it had all became barren, dead.

The aliens knew about these creatures and told them they are the very reason the planet Mars became a dead planet, now Earth had fallen to them in the very same way. They told them that they really came to the galaxy to prevent that same event, but no amount of preparation could have helped them.

Now the human population was estimated to around 40. It was safe to say that their mission now would be to take back their planet from these creatures that have decimated entire worlds, but to do that research on these creatures would need to be done, research that relied on the truth about Black Holes.

Rules (Space station.)

1. Do not run in the walks ways.

2. Do not stand near the blast doors, in an emergency these will open in order for the station to make quick escapes.

3. Males are not permitted in the girls dormitory and vice versa due an incident that occurred three years ago.

4. You will be paired with a partner depending on your test results, this can not be undone unless you fill out a form with a proper reason for a change. In that event you will be allowed to choose your own partner should any be available. Partners are chosen based on YOUR ability. Race, gender, sexual orientations will not affect your placement, however you must respect your partners differences and preferences.

5. No rough-housing in the cafeteria.

6. Directories are placed all over the station as it is quite large use them if you get lost.


7. During a launch all personnel are to leave the hanger bay, only pilots may enter during this time.

Par'Xa (Parscha)

An alien race which comes from the Nalion galaxy. They were the ones that contacted Earth so long ago. They resembles elves and are quite beautiful, they also reproduce homosexually. High intelligence, but terrible with athletics.

Crai'gan (Cray Gan)

A race that resembles Golems, their skin is made out of rock but looks extremely smooth. Their strength is unmatched. They come from a rocky, mountainous planet called "Nor" in the Andromeda Galaxy.


Tuia (Too ah.)

Aquatic race of people that resemble what we know as Merfolk. They come from the planet Neptune in our Galaxy. They resemble fish but their skin is incredibly cold and scaly, though they can adjust to any temperature. They are more at home in the water and can transform into giant fish.


Dryas

A race of plant people from Venus, the males resemble trees and the females resemble flowers. During certain seasons the flowers on their heads will 'blossom' They cannot stand water which is strange for a plant.


Rak-tal

A race of reptilian humanoids from the volcanic planet Xak'tu. Their scales are as hard as any armor they also have wings horns and a tail, the females have bigger horns than the males.


San'she

A race of entirely females. Also called "Iron Maidens" as they are robots from the metallic planet Eria. They are rather business like and rarely show emotions, as they are really just machines. It is said that the planet it self created them, as to why they are only female, no one knows.



I didn't give a lot of description on these races because I think it would be fun for you all to add some of your ideas to them, of course you can make up your own and it will go here if you wish.

Space Craft.


The station uses many types of vehicles, ships, and other types of weaponry.

First up, space craft.


The "Eagle"

The Eagle is an Earthling military transport modeled after the Off-spry but can maneuver in space. It is primarily used to transport infantry. While it has been equipped with guns it is not suitable for combat as it is slow and is a sitting duck in heavy fights.



E-52

Mode 2

The E-52 is an alien fighter created by the Par'xa it's small size allows for fast movement in fights. It's primary weapon is the Ion Canon, due to its light armor it isn't suitable for long fights. However it does have a second option where it transforms into what is known as "combat mode" in this mode the E-52 gains a thicker hull, but it becomes slower. It can also fire a weapon called "plasma missles" which can disrupt communications of any manned vehicle.



NS-720

This ship was created primarily for defense and has the thickest hull of any other ship. Designed by the Crai'gan, this alien craft can camouflage into the surrounding area it's used as a stealth ship as it is not very maneuverable in combat, it was made only for exploratory use and is not equipped for fighting.


As research improves more craft will become available.

Mecha.

Can't have a sci-fi without giant robots right?


T-86

The T-86 is more or less a prototype collaboration between human and alien technology. It reacts to the emotional status of the pilot. It can also hover, fly, and dash. It can also be equipped with up to eight weapons. The primary weapon is a sword that appears out of it's right arm, it's left arm can change from a large Ion shield to a buster canon. It's back side is weak however, due to the engine. The engine releases steam that must be ventilated properly, which is why it is lightly armored around that area or it could over heat.

Calibur

The Calibur was inspired by medieval knights. It uses a long sword made out of Ionxyte, a material found on an unnamed asteroid. A material strong enough to cut through stone and steel.


Turbine

The Turbine is a heavy mech suitable for mountain terrain. It's legs have caterpillar treads on the bottom of its feet for it to move faster. It's uses all sorts of fire power but it's weapons can over heat pretty quickly.


The Spider.

The spider was built for underwater exploration, it moves by jets on it's legs. The joints on its legs are also its main weak point.

The Enemy.

What came from the Black Holes, it was long since believed that Black Holes are a space-time anomaly however, no onehad ever been inside one to find out. Except for the creatures that attacked Earth.

They are called "Hiari" which mean "The Dark Ones." They have no physical form, but instead take the form of their last victim, they can be anyone or anything. The only way to tell is their shimmering red eyes.

It is believed their home world exists beyond a massive Black Hole, no one knows what their purpose is, they are fierce and extremely dangerous, and love to emotionally torment their victims they can mimic a persons speech, as well as use any weapon or vehicle efficiently.


Their intelligence mixed with their power is a lethal combination.

She has developed "Mechanical phobia" due to an event that occured six months ago. Giving her a fear of machines, she won't even go near the San'She because of it. The reason why is a closed secret and she refuses to talk about it. Because of this she no longer goes near the hanger even though people encourage her to remain a pilot.
Personality: Due to her new found fear of machines she became much quieter. She is very smart and has a major sweet tooth, you can bribe her easily with candy if you tried hard enough. Before the incident she was cheerful and always ready to help anyone in need. She isn't emo or anti-social, she even forgets her fear of machines until one comes into her view then she withdrawals.

He liked to run and keep healthy, his friends regarded him as a fitness freak but he didn't mind he enjoyed exercising. When he was 10 he always used to watch aircraft fly above him and always exclaimed that he was going to be a pilot like the people in the sky. He joined the GAF (Governmental Air Force, formally Royal Air Force until the death of King Frederick XXIV) He showed exceptional talent in piloting and driving but struggled with mechs doing the opposite of what was required. When he heard about the exploration into space he signed up without giving a seconds thought, and prepared himself for the voyage that would change his life forever.
Personality: Duke is a happy-go-lucky lad that loves to fly and tinker with electronics, he's always hungry so it's rare to see him without an item of food in his hand (or mouth) he has a short temper with certiain people that get on his nerves and has been know to lash out un-expectedly if he is in a particular mood. For most of my existence I have been training to be a ship pilot, until contact was made with humanity eight years, 50 days, 13 hours, 16 minutes, two seconds ago. At that point, I was selected to be adopted by a human family as a way to both establish friendship with the species as well as allow both my people and theirs to learn more of the other. In order to better fit in, my design was altered, incorporating several organic components so I could better fit in with my new family, the Williams' family, consisting of Arthur and Abigail Williams, Arthur both of whom were scientists with the UN, and their son, Martin Williams, who was the same age as I. Up until the loss of Earth, I lived with the Williams family and became... close to them. My contact with Martin in particular became something that was... I'm not sure. Not that it matters. As scientists who worked on the station, we, the Williams family, were to have places there, but when the emergency launch happened, there was simply not enough room on one of the transports, so I was on the one before theirs. They were supposed to be on the next one, but time ran out. My human family died with Earth, Arthur, Abigail... Martin. When I think of them, I feel... strange... maybe I should see a San'she engineer and a doctor, in case something is wrong with either my original robotic components or my organic ones.

Current Planet: Jupiter.


What we know of this planet: Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet within the Solar System.[13] It is a gas giant with mass one-thousandth that of the Sun but is two and a half times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System combined. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant along with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Together, these four planets are sometimes referred to as the Jovian or outer planets.

The planet was known by astronomers of ancient times and was associated with the mythology and religious beliefs of many cultures. The Romans named the planet after the Roman god Jupiter.[14] When viewed from Earth, Jupiter can reach an apparent magnitude of −2.94, making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky after the Moon and Venus. (Mars can briefly match Jupiter's brightness at certain points in its orbit.)

Jupiter is primarily composed of hydrogen with a quarter of its mass being helium; it may also have a rocky core of heavier elements. Because of its rapid rotation, Jupiter's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it possesses a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. Due to it having no surface area flying craft can only be used here.

"It had my mother's face.." She repeated to herself. Reluctantly she was to continue her training as she operated a T-86 in the training area. The simulator could emulate any terrain or biome she was placed in a desert scenario. She couldn't focus all she could think about was what happened six years ago and her fear of machines was not helping. "I can't do this...let me out..." she spoke softly to herself. As her emotions began to rise the mechs system began to go haywire.


--WARNING! EMOTIONAL STRESS DETECTED INITIATING EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN-

A voice from the computer spoke as the training session was brought to a halt. She stumbled out from the mech, hugging herself. "She hasn't improved at all." The scientists in the observation room were saying. "We shouldn't be forcing her into this."

"You heard the commander, they want her out in the field."

"But the level of trauma she has inside that thing is too high."

The girl collected herself and decided to make her way to the shopping mall, maybe something there could take her mind off of things.

Andross Skinner walked the halls of the station on his way to the mall sphere, hoping to pick up a few things before his patrol shift began. As he walked he pulled out his data pad, checking to see if there was any news about other pilots that could serve as his partner. He let out a dissatisfied grunt at the lack of updates, pocketing the data pad as he exited the transfer hall and entered the Mall Sphere.

Duke was making his way from the hanger towards the environmental sphere, he always enjoyed visiting there, it soothed him none of that yoga or spa rubbish that he didn't like, while he was mid way accross a walkway someone hit his shoulder with force "Hey! Watch where your going! This station not big enough or something?" He heard a noisey reply back but he ignored it. Hey, Valentine! "Oh great this is all I need." "Valentine, I have your latest update regarding your next outing." "Well? Who is it?" "It's Uhh... Give us a second, Ah! Here we go your with Andross Skinner." "Who's he?" "He's the guy with the eyepatch." "Uhh, right, thanks." Duke walked away but decided to go back to his lodgings instead. "Eyepatch?"

Andross walked out the mall's Starbucks with a cup of... well, it wasn't coffee, it was some sort of Crai'gan bean that was effectively the same as coffee beans, but it turned out orange instead of brown. Andross didn't really care though, it kept him energized, and he loved the taste of the vanilla flavored mocha thingy. He took a look in the bag with him, making sure he had everything he had come to the mall for when he noticed Atallie coming into the mall, looking somewhat distracted. He frowned slightly since he sort of had mixed feelings about her. On one hand, she was one of the few pilots he thought of as competition due to her skill, he was fairly envious of her since piloting seemed to come so easy to her while he had to train and train. On the other hand, she was just a child, a comrade, and, since her new found mechanical phobia, she wasn't really 'in the running' so to speak. He sighed before moving to walk in step with the young girl and said, "Good evening Ms. Nanchiho, how are you feeling today?"

Off in her own little world, Attie, as she was called by her school mates wandered around the mall. Carefully dodging any machine she came across, even the vending machines. She wondered where her friends were as there wasn't any one familiar around. She heard the voice of an older male near her current position. At first she didn't respond, since talking with males was difficult for her, but this human was more of an older brother to her maybe even father like.

"Hello.." she sounded exhausted in her voice. She looked at the floor for a minute before she looked up. She was incredibly short being only 4'7. So people mistook her for being younger than she actually was, and was popular with the girls at school due to being "cuddly" She wasn't sure if it was because she was part alien, since Par'xans were short too, but some were incredibly tall.

"I'm not getting back in that thing, if that's what you're thinking.." she said slowly, a lot of the other pilots would always encourage her, though she appreciated the other it wasn't something she could just get over like that.

A genuine smile came over Andross' face as he said, "I wouldn't dream of trying to force you back to piloting. I didn't hear about what happened and I'm sure it isn't any of my business, but I would just like to say that I don't think it's fair for the brass to try forcing you back in a cockpit." He was silent for a few seconds before he reached into his bag and pulled out a little bag of carrot sticks and opening it up. He offered the bag to her, asking, "Would you like one? I tend to buy some snacks when I'm patrolling the walkways, and carrots are good for the eye sight."

"I don't need it, I don't like carrots." She stated with a serious look on her face, but then, "Are they candy carrots?" She hopefully believed that they could make candy out of anything,. and no matter how many sweets she ate, she never had a toothache, in fact Par'xan bodies were such, that brushing wasn't necessarily for them due to small living organisms that lived in their gums that broke down any plaque or tartar that would arise.

"I don't hate machines, I just don't want to be near them." There was this one beautiful San'she at her school, but she could never approach her due to her fear. Of course Iron Maidens didn't care for romance as they were only robots, but no one really knew that since not much was known about them in the first place.

"Why are you here?" She asked, her mind starting to wonder off again, as she looked up at the ceiling. Jupiter, was indeed a large planet. The station was in orbit mode around it.

Duke turned on his his Data Pod and waited it to boot. "Eyepatch? What was his name again? Alan? No. Andy? No. Andrew? Andross! Thats it!" He loaded up a search engine for personnel on the station. He typed in Andross' name and a picture appeared instantaneously. "Aha! So that's the chap I need to look for then and he was latest update says he was in the Starbucks, Looks like I need to go and meet someone then!" Duke left his quarters and made his way over the the Shopping Centre, when he arrived he saw Jupiter looming above him "Phew that ain't small!" He walked down the plaza among the fountains and palm trees looking for Andross. Then he saw him, with a small girl. "Hey! Hey, Andross!" Duke ran over to him, to see him. "Hey!" He turns to the little girl. "A'right munchkin!"

Andross was about to answer the girl when he heard someone calling his name. He looked up to see the British pilot approaching him and took note of the man's looks as he said, "I'm sorry, Valentine right? Is there something you needed?" He didn't know the younger fellow personally, but he knew he was a pilot, how good a pilot remained unknown to Mr. Skinner.

Duke looked at Andross and looked at his eyepatch. "hmmm he reminds me of a pirate.." He broke from his trance and remembered why he was there. "Hey! Yeah thats me! But you can just call me Duke. Uhh I came to tell you that according to our supiriours, we, are partners! I found out about 15 minutes ago. Did noone tell you? I thought that it would have come up on your data pad? I left mine on the flight deck and a ground handler gave it back to me that's when I found out. I thought that it would be nice to get to know one another so there's no awkwardness when we're out, ya know?"
