Captain underpants is a super hero who is really a very angry principal who was hypnotized by these two boys who are always causing mischief in school. Lots of weird stuff happens to them all the time, like aliens disguised as lunch ladies turning all of the children into zombies, a science geek gets turned into a booger covered robot through a freak accident. A mad scientist with a ridiculous name forces everyone to have a name like his, stuff like that.

You can call it a kid's book, but I read them as a kid, and I loved them so. xD

well, I was going by some of the other book names and thought it might have been a childrens' book designed for potty training or some such thing, but it doesn't sound anything like that. From what you say it's just a fun and silly book.

Yes, it was very silly, this convo is making me want to read his new books... xD even though I'm way too old to be reading such stories.
