My mom always whines about how dad spends money and doesn't update the house while refusing to get a job and do it herself. Her mind set is like the 30s era of women and I don't know how since she was a teenin the 70s. How did it happen?

My sis...well anything to do with her son and his school lack of performance is the teachers fault, and they use his ADHD as a crutch.

It is a never ending cycle. That is my coworker's life. Her daughter is a hot mess and coworker just enables the bad behavior and poor life choices. Granted coworker makes stupid life choices herself, so no great example there...

Ya that's always an odd position to be put in. Having to listen to drama of others and just be thinking the whole time...there is an easy solution. XD

In this case, once a problem child, always a problem child. I can't even begin to delve in that rabbit hole of a problem.

I have a friend who's child is like that...
He's only a small one, but basically, his child does not respect him at all and he blames his ADHD for it. :/

His child broke his TV (yes, a goddamn TV!) and he was like, "Ah well, he can't control it." THE FUCK?!

I used to work with kids, and I've dealt with kids with mental illness before, but one thing they all had in common was that they respected their parents well enough that they knew better than to break shit. And if they DID break shit, they were reprimanded for it by their parents. But it was very rare that they broke things.

One child was suicidal, but she was really a very sweet girl. She was probably the most ill of all the children I've ever worked with, but she was very smart and very respectful. There was another child who was so naughty" that whenever I worked in that room, the teacher would literally let me only work with her and I would just play with her and keep her entertained all day. She never bit another child while I was there, she never broke anything and she never caused much problems for me. I think for her, she was lacking attention at home and that's why she acted out because she got attention. I think that's very common.

Anyway, sorry to write so much. I'm just so passionate about children and it honestly hurts when healthy children don't receive the care they need because parents are too lazy or parents think that there's something wrong with their child without first looking into their own parenting. >:T
