It's a fairly old and massively popular anime, so love it or hate it, I assume that a fair bit of you have seen it.

Personally, it's one of my favorites. It's entertaining, for starters, but there's also so much layered symbolism and analysis that is possible for it.

I tried watching the original, but couldn't sit through them. I did watch the first rebuild movie and thought that was AMAZING. Eventually I'll watch the others.

I really like rei's character design, idk about her personality though.

Eva is killer. They used to show the original on a local PBS station and I would record them. It's a bleak show, but pretty great. I haven't seen the any of the rebuilds.

The End of Evangelion was freaky and kinda disturbing. I think fans know which part I mean.
