She nodded and turned the station to what station he had advised.

It didn't come in loud but it was a change in music for him. mark wasn't too much of a country fan, but he went with it. "So after the lake, we heading back?" He asked.. "Don might want to leave soon anyway" he added, he rarely said dad, but he never knew why, probably after his mother left because of him, he wasn't acnolleged by it much anymore.

"Yep. I show you the lake, then we head back. I still have to talk to the allmighty papa about this whole bein' a singer thing." She said as she turned off the road onto and offroad path. "Hold on tight!" She declared as they bumped and bounced down the path.

"you think He will let you go on with this?" Mark asked hoping that he would, but didn't want to mess things up between her, and hr father.

"I dunno." She said uncertaintly. Then they came off the path, into a clearing. There was a large lake. The moon shone brightly off of the crystaline surface of the water. "Welcome to lake Lidner."

"Nice.." Mark said unbuckling, after the truck stopped, he opened his door. Getting out, he walked a bit away from the truck. "It is nice here.." he added stating the fact. "I should move down here..its better then the city.." he added, another fact.

She sat on the edge of the lake. "It gets old when you've been here so long... Nothing ever changes..." She said softly, looking to the stars. "This is the kind of town where the guy you date in highschool is probably gonna be the one you marry."

"Oh..that sucks..so you would probably marry that jerk?.." Mark asked knowing that it wasn't the case, but to what she said. "I wish i didn't though..the city gets old too, but if you have it right..it treats you better.." he said, sitting beside her now.

"Ew... Please don't say that. I'll stay single before I marry him. I'm still waiting for my prince charming to come and take me away on a white steed." She joked with a smirk.

"thought so.." he said joking as well. "If not a steed..then what?" he asked. Mark was just curious about her, he enjoyed being with her. This is a feeling that he hasn't had much, just once, until she turned on him.

"I'd settle for a bicycle." She said. "As long as it gets me out of this place."

Mark smiled again. The moon, and stars looked good glisining in the lake. It was something that you just couldn't find in city.

"So tell me. Got a special girl back home?" She asked out of sheer curiousity.

"Nope..not anymore..she left a year ago..for her new producer.." Mark said looking out across the lake. He just wished that he did have someone, but he didn't know where she would come from.

"Oh... Err. I apologize for bringing that up then..." She said quietly. 'Damnit... Me and my huge piehole!' She mentally scolded herself.

"Its ok..I have been looking, but just can't find anyone..Guess I have to have them find me.." Mark said. He looked to her, then back over the water.

"If it helps any, I'm lonely too... It just doesn't seem as if there is a guy out there that can love me like I wish..." She said softly.

"aww, sorry, know the feeling." Mark said looking for the lake to her. She was something different that he hasn't seen. Because each time he looked at her, he felt safe, and not alone.

She was clueless to the her own feelings. She knew there was something there that hadn't been there before, but she couldn't tag it. Partially because she hadn't felt that way before. She gazed up at the moon as though it might hold answers for her. The lunar light shined in her azure eyes.

Mark looked back up at the moon. It was peaceful, and safe just like her.

She looked down, and found herself staring at him as he gazed out at the moon. The way to light bounced off his face made her see that he really was quite dashing.

Mark yawned lightly, and stretched. Leaning back, while stretching, he fell all the way back. He chuckled. "well..that didn't work.." Mark joked while sitting back up laughing.

She blinked and then giggled. "Smooth." She said with a grin. She looked down at her watch. It was late. But she really didn't want to leave yet. "I guess we have to head back now..." She said disappointedly.

"seriously?" Mark asked. sighing he got up. Offering her his had. "I guess, lets get going.." he said waiting for her.

She took it and tried to pull herself up. However, being the clumbsy one she was, she ended up pulling him backwards, and they both fell in the lake.
