She shrugged. "It was was war time. Britain against ireland. The two just don't get along." She said simply, watching him for a moment in the small pause there was, listening to his next question and laughing.

"Heritage. Something I rarely share with a lot of people. But that may be another reason..." shed said, rolling her eyes. She had to admit, though, she did want to do that, but she had a clean image to keep. That was that. Nothing bad could happen to her family's reputation. She had to be the pride and honor if her sisters couldn't be.

Laughing at his jest, she smiled up at him. "I'm hardly missing out if it means I can steal you away from other women..." she said, moving close to him, her lips lingering close to his even though she was just teasing, but her craving to feel his lips on hers was strong. She wanted him to kiss her, even though she knew there was a slight chance of it. But shed coukd hardly care. She was having fun just teasing, joking talking... he was something of a dream to her. And she was going to make her dream last forever.

He grinned. " I see, heritage huh?" He was glad she would share something like that with her. When she then leaned close she too wanted to kiss her, and he felt as if she wanted him too, but still, he was unsure, and he loved flirting with her.
"A clean image huh?" He said leaning in as if he was about to kiss her, then pulled away. " I gues s your right, we better keep you nice and clean, for now" He said with a grin.

He then looked back at her. "And well yes you have, all those woman...you broke all their hearts" He said with a laugh, He loved being around Beckkaa, she was almost like his other half, so to speak. "But, If it counts for anything, I would rather be married off to you than anyone else, if I had a choice" He said smiling.

He pondered for a bit. "Actually, I was wondering, since I cannot stay the night with you, May I see you tomorrow evening? Alone? I have...something for you, but I wont tell" He said grinning.

She nodded. "Something you will have to shar eventually as well. " she told him, glaring when he came close just to pull away., pouting slightly but smiling. "Better keep yourself nice and clean as well..." she told him playfully, walking towards the door.

Giving a slightly guikty look, though a bit over dramatic she rolled her eyes. "They can deal with it. Besides, most of them end up bedding more than five men in one night.... makes your wonder who's been therebefore you, hm?" She said, teasing him, then smiling and hugging him. "If you had a choice, you'd probably chose someone who's a bit more... sexual. Not daddys favorite cnadidate." She said, giving herself a moment to think on that.

If he did have a choicd, would he pick me? She wondered, smiling up at him and brushing her soft lips over his. It was a small, innoce.nt kiss, nothing too bintimate, yet.

He smiled. "I guess so." He followed her outside. "And yes Id choose you, and now Im a bit worried now that who have said all those things about those girls" He said and grinned, when she kissed him, his heart skipped a few beats, he has never had a moment in his life where a kiss was like that. He kissed her back, pressing into her softly then pulled away, he wanted to respect her after all.

"So, you never answered my question?" He said with a playful smile, and he thought about his own heritage. He didn't know much expect he was Italian, his dark hair and olive like skin was obvious to that, but he really didn't know much else, maybe he would ask his father, it would be nice to share something special with her, other than sex.

"And By the way, You don't need to be sexual, I like you just the way you are" He said with a smile.

She giggled. "You should be... " she said playfully, smiling to herself when he returned her kiss, feeling her own heart flutter rapidly, before turning away with a small blush.

She thought for a moment about his question. "I may be able to come. If I can escape Beth's birthday party early..." she said, curious about what it was he had for her, and pouting when he said he wouldn't tell. "Not even a hint?" she asked, holding his hand. she hated it when guys did that, having something for a girl and not telling just to build suspense. It put her a little on edge, but she guessed whatever it was, must be worth it.

"How do you know you wouldn't choose one of the other girls. Besides, had it not been for us being forced together tonight, you'd not even know me at all." she told him.

Alex just smiled. "Well, I can come to the party, but i have not been invited" He said with a smile, he knew she wanted to know what it was, but he was never going to tell. "Nope, Not even a hint" He grinned he grabbed her hand and pullled her into a hug.
She was being hard on herself he thought.

"I did dance with you, Did I not? Out of all those girls, I chose you to dance, that should say something all on its own" He said resting his head on hers. Of course he would never be able to tell her why he was really at her party, it may destroy her that he only showed up to save his own ass, good thing too, if his father found out? He would be cut off and disowned.

But he knew now he would never go back to the lifestyle, not when he could be here, with Beckkaa...

She smiled. " I can get you invited..." she said, hugging him back and pouting up at him. "Awww... that's not fair.." she whined playfully, but left it alone and just remained there in his arms, and then she began to wonder....

"Randomly chose me..." she mumbled closing her eyes. She felt so... weird. She had butterflies in her stomach, and her heart beat quickened by a thousand beats... and his atrong arms made her feel, safe. Like she had found her home with him. And she knew then she could never imagine a better man to be with.

"I will get you invited to the party... but make sure to be here at at least six in the evening." She whispered to him, not moving at all from his embrace.

He smiled and he felt intoxicated by her lavender smell, he loved the way she smelled and felt in his arms, he felt right, like it was more then an accident he was brought to her, to the party. "It was not random at all...I saw you, And I had to dance with you, at least once..." He said softly.

He just held her there, he felt as if...well he felt different, unlike hes ever felt before. "Ill be there, and I cant wait to meet your sister, and of course to see you.." He said, the thoughts of seeing her once again made him smile. Of course he most likely had the rest of his old life to be with her, but that was just the same.

Beckaa smiled, looking up at him and gently raising a hand to stroke his cheek. It wasn't like her to be captivated by a man like thiis, but she was. And she liked it. Her feelings for him were deeper than her last love... because this was real. And it went soul deep.

Pressing another small kiss to his lips she smiled up at him. "I can't wait..." she said, reluctantly pulling away from him. There was a small chill, but she ignored it, taking his hand in hers and leading him out of the tomb. It was the creepiest place to have a romantic moment at but they had one there. How memorable.

He followed her outside, where it seemed kinda cold out. "Is this, goodbye?" He asked lifting her hand up ti kiss it. He didnt want to be, but he knew he must go at some point, fiancee or not. He knew he would spend the entire time thinking of her when he was away, she somehow has captured his heart, which noone has ever been able to do, ever.

He looked up at the moon. It was bright and it shined down, he looked back at the girl and leaned in for a small kiss. " I dont know what I am going to do until I see you again" He said letting his fingers go through her red locks, it was so soft unlike any woman's hair he has ever touched.

Beckaa smiled, nodding. "Only for tonight, though." She promised him softly, she could already feel herself getting excited about seeing him again. She couldn't wait to. She was even reluctant to want him to leave. She wanted him to stay with her, but she knew he couldn't. It irritated her but that irritation went away when he kissdd her.

Returning the kiss gently, she looked into his eyes. "Plan more time to spend with me." She said, smiling at him before pressing her lips to his again, it was a small kiss, but not as innocent as the first few she gave him. He would eventually find out she wasn't as innocent as some might think, but he'd know only after their wedding.

Her kiss was, out of this world. "I plan to spend as much time with you as I possibly can" He said hugging her. "But for now, I must go....Ill see you at six tomorrow night then?" He said to her. "Will you walk me out to my car?" He asked her linking his arm with hers as he lead them inside, where it was much warmer.

When the reach her front door he smiled. "Ill be thinking of you" And with that, he kissed her hand, bowed, and left to his car, it was hard, but he knew he must show her, and her family he was a proper man.

She smiled, nodding she walked him to the door, greateful to be inside again. She smiled, stroking his cheek after he kissed her hand. "And I of you..." she replied to him, watching him leave before closing the door, smiling, and running up to her bedroom, spinning around before falling onto her bed. Her maid came In instantly.

"I heard the news, my dear, I congradulate you." She said, helping her undress, bathe, and put on a fresh nightgown before tucking her in.

"Thank you..." she replied. "He's so...."

"Handsome? Don't let that weeken your mind. You heard the rumors."

"I have faith in my mothers choice. He will not hurt me like that."

"That's what william said too.." she mumbled, turning out the light and leaving beckaa to rest.

He left to his home, where is father was there already, waiting for him. Alex wlaked in and just stood there, then smiled.
His father spoke first. "Ahhh My boy! Congratulations! Finally My only son is getting married!!!" He said giving Alex a Manley hug, Alex just grinned. "Yes, yes I am.." He said sighing, thinking Of beckkaa.

"Why, I thought you would like her?" he said.

" I do! Shes great! But...." He said pausing. His father frowned.

"But what?" He said raising his eyebrows.

"Shes heard things, and she knows of the other women, I mean...I can and will change for her dad but I wonder if she could truly be happy with me" He said sitting down, He father joined him.

"My boy, did you see the way she looked at you when you danced with her? You have nothing to worry about" He said and Alex Hoped he was right. "I am giving her something tomorrow night when I see her Again, to show her I am real" He said.

His fathers eyes got wide. "Yes father, Mothers ring" His dad almost cried. And Alex smiled.
It was her wedding ring, in the middle was a green sapphire, with Diamonds surrounding it.

"Ive decided" Alex said, and got cleaned up and ready for bed, he drifted off to sleep thinking about Beckkaa,

Beckaa slept the night away, and a little into the day time before waking. She'd had a reastful night, sleeping and dreaming about her wedding. She wondered if she would be able to have the wedding she had dreamt of or if it would be a small, simple one. She didn't know, but she could hope.

Getting up, she ate breakfast before letting her maids bathe her, and begin the grooming for the party that night. It was not at her house, but at her friend Beth's. Beth had the most energetic parties, and the most exciting people. But none as exciting as her fiance. She was proud to be able to have Alex on her arm tonight.

sighing, she stood as they put on a tight corset. her undergown that night was a very light purple silk, and over it was a light pink that shifted colors depending on the light on it. It made her skin look fairer. And the corset was made to make her brests seem larger than they were, but hold her in. Her mother made sure she never fell out at a party, though Beckaa sometimes thought she would with how revealing the gowns were.

Putting on some jewl encrusted heeled shoes and a little bit of shimmer around her eyes, she was set to go around five, but had to speak with her sister, mother, and Beth, so that took the last hour of her time before she waited for her escort that night.

Alex woke up early, showered and ate some food. He went about his daily Norm, in a haze, he hummed and thought about His Fiance and he smiled ear to ear. He thought all day about what He would say and how he would approach her with his mothers ring, he hoped she loved it. His father had this made especially for his mother, there love was true and deep, and he wanted to offer that same love to Beckkaa.

When it hit time to leave Alex made sure he had everything, looking in a mirror on last time. He was wearing A more casual suit, no tie, his coat was unbuttoned and he wore black slacks. He let his hair down, it was not long, but his bangs got into his eyes alot, he would have slicked it back like he normally did, but felt it unnecessary.

He left his home with the ring in a box in his coat pocket, his heart beating. He soon would see her and he could not wait. He arrived shorty to her home and walked to her door, knocking and smiling waiting to be able to be her escort for a party.

The younger sister, Kelsea, opened the door, smiling. "Youuuuu! You can't come in! Beckaa don't want you!" she said, rambling off like a jealoud little sister before Beckaa came and sighed.

"Kelsea stop being a pest. go and eat you dinner and get ready for bed." She said, Kelsea tried being defiant but Beckaa gave her a cold, peircing stare. "Now!" she said firmly, and Kelsea whined and ran towards the kitchen.

Beckaa smiled at him. "I'm sorry about that..." she said, blushing as she looked back at the group that was to take separate cars, and she let him in while their maids ran around to get the shaws for the girls. Beckaa's was a shimmering white satin shaw, and the maid placed it on her bare shoulders gently before she was dismissed to head to the party.

Alex laughed, "Its alright, she adorable" He said, then he looked at her, and just gazed. "But you...look...breathtaking" He said. He walked in and kissed her hand. "Evening My Lady" He said and bowed. Then he looked up and gave her a wink.
"So, are you excited to show me off?" He said playfully giving another wink as he held out his arm for her to link.

He himself was a bit excited to be the one she would be telling everyone about, and he was even more excited to show her how much he really felt for her.

"Plus annoying. To the point that when i talk to people I can hardly be nice. She gives my that much of a headache on a daily basis." she said, speaking of it lightly. She loved her family, and her sisters. Even if they could be annnoying. They were her blood, and blood is thicker than any other bond in the world.

"thank you..." she said to his compliemtn, and smiled. "And you look absolutely handsome." she said and then iggled. "I meant beautiful."she said, joking around with him and giving him a feminine tag, though it was all play.

Smiling at his comment, though, she grinned. "Yes, I am. I'm ready to brag about my handsome, amazing fiance." she told him, pressing a small kiss to his cheek as she linked arms with him, ready to leave for his car.

"Well, as annoying as she may be, I still think she cute" He said giving her a smile. "And thanks, I put alot of time to make sure I was prety enough to show off" He said teasing her. He took her arm and Lead her to his car, which was a nice big long black car, could pass for a small limo, but it was nothing too fancy of course.

He Opened the car door for her. "My lady" He said as she got in he closed it and went to the driver side. "Where to Miss?" He said with a tease, he knew he could just follow the other cars to the party. He smiled at her as he drove, he was so happy, she was so amazing his heart could burst.

Beckaa laughed, letting him escort her out and put her into the car. She knew he didn't need directions though, so she just let him drive, smiling as she looked out the window at the world outside.

But her maid's words kept comign back to her. She didn't know if it was the right time to bring it up or not, but she did anyways. "Were you being honest when you said you wouldn't hurt me last night?" she asked him, drawing little pictures on the windows, somewhat hesitant to bring it up. She didn't want to go to the party mad at her. That would make her feel horrible, guilty. But she had to know if he was just marrying her because he had to, or if he liked her.

His heart sank, and he got a bit irritated at the question, but he didnt let it show, instead he smiled. "Why, do you doubt me?" Then he shook his head, "You will find out soon enough" He said smiling, they were almost to the party and he pulled in and parked, he got out of the car and went to her side, opening it up, as she stepped out he closed the door behind her and link ed arms with her.

"Are you ready?" He said with a grin, he could not wait to show her, and give her the ring, he hoped it was enough to prove to her that his feelings were real, despite the rumors.

She looked over at him, sighing. "Should I? you slept with my maid not long ago, Alex. How do I know next time it won't be my best friend?" she asked. She was just trying to get rid of the doubt that her maid planted in her mind the night before. At that moment, she just wished she could straighten things out, but it seemed a little pointless.

Getting out of the car, she smiled. At the door, people were taking attendance, and Beckaa gave the man both their names and he let them in. Beth was wearing the same style of a dress only it was a blue color, bringing out her pale skin and hazel eyes. "Beckyyyy!" She said, hugging her. "I have sooo much to tell from last night at the party after you mysteriously disappeared with Sir Alex." she said, rolling her eyes at him before winking at Beckaa.

Beckaa sighed dramtically. "oh no... You're not using gossip to get out of greeting people." Beckaa said.

Beth groaned and pouted but greeted her guests anyways.

"Come on... I have to wait for her in the usual place..." she said.

Taking him over to a window seat, closed off by shimmering rainbow colored curtains bere Beckaa's friend and their husbands, suitors, or fiances. Becka greeted them and sat down with the women on one side, men on the other. They had wines and snack of their own there, so they didn't have to leave for anything except dancing if they wished. And small areas like that were all around the dancefloor. So people had privacy if they needed it.

Alex was pained hearing Beckkaa talk like that, he ignored her words though and was silent for the first part of the night, he sighed when he saw her friend and a few others who knew of him, this may not look so good, he thought. He sat with her and mingled a bit, feeling awkward, he could hear and feel eyes and ears, and he knew he was being spoken about, and not in a friendly manner.

Alex Smiled and turned to Beckkaa, "May we be excused?" He said trying to be polite, grabbing the girls arm and rushed off to the side of the dance floor so they could be alone.

"Look, My past is my past, but clearly you can not get over doubts and gossip" He said almost angry, but he hurt instead. "I should have expected no less from a child" He said, he knew it was rude but it was so she never knew what he was about to do.

He got on one knee and pulled out the box. "But I love you anyways" He said with a smile, oping the box to revel its beauty. He hoped that with this he would ease her mind, he stood up and put the ring on her Wedding finger. "This, was my mothers...." He said. "My father had this specially made for her, he loved her so much, and I hope that you will accept this and trust me, when I say, I do" He then kissed her, he didn't care if he was seen doing it or not, but he knew it was the right thing to do right then.

Beckaa sighed, being pulled along. Her friends gave her a questioning look and she shrugged, being taken where only they could be heard.

Crossing her arms over her chest she looked away from him, listening silently until he called her a child, and then decided to go one proposing? He couldn't just drop and insult like that and expect her to say yes, could he?

She looked at the ring silently, her eyes had teared up after he called her a child, and she kept her eyes down. She wasn't sure weather to accept it or not. Part of her wanted to throw it back in his face, another said to just let it go. But she came to a compromise on both ends.

"Yeah... It's your past, but if that past follows you to the future...?" she asked him, than looking towards her friends. "and since I'm just a child, I guess you can wait for an answer." she told him, turning away from him. she didn't walk back to the table, instead, she walked up the stairs to where her mother was standing and they went into a study to talk, leaving alex's dad to his own devices.
