I find that I clench my teeth a lot.
I have to purposefully relax my jaw.

Recently I seem to be keeping a lot of tension in my neck. I really think it is just stress. It is mostly at the base of my neck & runs into my shoulders.
Most of my headaches are tension or sinus.
Our weather has been weird & lots of rain within a few days. Starting to wonder if things will ever dry up here.

It's probably tension.
I get them a lot.

It's because the twat in the room next door was playing his music loud again and it thumps through the wall.
It'll be fine when I move rooms or rip his balls off.

We should make a UK thread and use that through the day.
That is a very good idea. I think there may be a hangout already, a 'British' one.. but I'm not sure. If so, I should go and talk there more.

I am the opposite of you Jean.
My mouth tends to open, and it is wide open when I am sleeping in a sitting pose.

I usually only sleep with my mouth open when I am having sinus trouble & can't breath well. Then I end up waking up several times with dry mouth & feel like I am choking.

luna - I did make one.
The only people who ever went in it were me and my two real life friends. . .
So I just let it die peaceful death.

I slept with my mouth wide open a few days ago, laid on my back and my throat has felt awful since. I think I may have a cold too, but that didn't help. I think I tend to sleep on my back when I'm dreaming though.

My jaw was squashed in the womb and so it doesn't line up.

Don't worry, it's not an obvious, Zombie kinda thing

SP: Oh no. That's such a shame! I would have loved to have talked in it if I knew it was there. I don't tend to venture around the forums much. I feel like menewsha is dead non-event time and the threads that I do see kind of 'alive' are ones that I don't feel I could jump into and chat.

luna - I could find it and bring it back.
Or we could ask to create another instead because that one was a trainwreck. xD

I am always afraid that a spider might drop in.
We have a lot of problems with spiders because of the area we live in.
Right now looking out the window there is a writing spider almost as big as the palm of my hand (counting legs).

I've been prone to TMJ. I used to get tooth aches that went away when I learned how to relax my jaw.

SexyP: I woudn't count on a thread made by me to be very successful though ^-^'

Damia: Really? That sounds pretty scary looking. My brother would not be able to cope. He can't have a tiny spider on the ceiling at night. Not at all.

But I can try.
I'll try setting one up tomorrow and pinging you to it. :D

No real "cure" per se.
It's just the relaxation techniques.

I have to keep reminding myself to unclench and relax.
It's kind like opening your mouth but keeping your lips closed.

I had a doctor tell me that I had tmj, but he was sort of stupid. I was having ear problems because of my sinus problems & when that got better the ear trouble stopped. He was supposed to be a ear, nose & throat doctor. I never went back to him.

It was my dentist who told me the relaxation techniques.

I remember there was once when I was small, I had this habit of clenching the teeth VERY TIGHT when I have an aware sleep.
As in, I am aware that I am sleeping, but I can't open my eyes or do anything.

I hate those dreams.

You're fighting to wake up or open your eyes or move or something, and you just can't.
