It all begans two peaceful kingdoms that soon is pullled into war by another kingdom. Two princes battle to stop it but is also dragged into the battle field as they don't know the truth behind who or what really started this bloody war.

Arthur rides thru the forest fast heading back to his kingdom. He needed to talk to his father who already decide to go ahead toward this war. He just hope he got there intime before his father send out the soldiers. Arthur rides thru the gates with two of his body guards. he jump off the horse and runs inside didn't care of someone took care of his horse or not. he heads toward the throne room and opens the door. It would take an hour or so but of course his father was abit stuborn than he was. Arthur rubs his head and walks out of the throne room "Great just great..I wonder if the prince of the other kingdom is having trouble with his parents.." As both princes had been good friends even before the war had started so both princes didn't like the idea.

Shage stood before his father and mother with his many siblings just plain dumbfounded at them. They were the type to announce things to them then dissmiss them, but he remained where he stood. His siblings may have been accepting of the declared war, but Shage just couldn't believe it. The royal familes have been at peace with each other for many generations, and when he tried to ask why, his father, the king refuse to give. The king even forbade Shage to speak with anyone of the other kingdom, even the prince. It was the queen that made Shage leave the throne room.

Arthur didn't care if it was forbidden now to talk to Shage but he just wanted to see if his parents listen. He heads out and orders both of his guards to stay where they was which was hard to sneak out of the castle. But he did he grabs his bow and arrows his main weapons he used. he place it on his horse before he pulls himself up. Arthur looks around making sure no one was looking before he takes an little short cut from the castle instead of going thought the gate. He heads into the forest toward where him and Shage usual hanged out before all this messed had started.

Shage was on his way to the royal stables, when he was interviened by one of his brothers and one of his sisters. The princess knew where Shage was going, not the exact location but knew the intent of Shage's departure. The older prince had two guards to escort Shage back inside, practically putting him under house arrest. Shage struggled, which itself was a rarity, but ended to be futile. He sat on his bed, as a guard stood outside the door. 'Arthur, I'm sorry.' Shage thought, knowing that the other prince would be heading there or already there at their spot by now.

It was hours since he had arrived to the little hut they had build together near river that sits on the boarder on both kingdoms. Arthur tosses a few rocks across the water as he sighs knew something had happen. "I guess the must have found out." says to himself. He rubs his eyes as he knew it was growing late and he surely was going to get into trouble by his father. He moves over and jumps back onto the back of the horse and heads home. It was night time by the time he had reached to the castle and of course like he thought his father was waiting for him in the courtyard. "Get off that horse and go to your room..you are no longer to leave this castle without either of your guards." his father says in an angery tone. Arthur gets down from the horse and glares at his father before he was escorted to his room. And plus he knew he was going to pulled into the battle field as well in a few days. He did have a little sister which also missed going out and playing with the sisters of Shage. She didn't understand what was going on since she was only six..they both lost their mother when she have had Mira.

Shage had never felt so restless, he paced his room, his heavy boots he always wore clomped heavily on the floor. It has been hours, nearly half a day, since he was told about the declared war on his friend's kingdom. Shage stopped pacing when he heard someone at the door, then it opened to reveal one of the younger princesses, Claranna. Shage knew the girl would just stand by the door until she was invited in, so when Shage did, she ran in and nearly tackled him in a hug. Claranna was twelve, but she practically had the mentality of an eight year old. "Shh, Clarie, I know you miss, Mira." Shage said, then he got an idea. "Clarie, want to help me with something?" Claranna sniffled and nodded. Shage went and wrote a quick letter to Artur, sealed it then handed it to his little sister. "Send this letter to Arthie, but shall we let your birdie deliver it? Don't let the others, or Mother or Father find out, okay?" Claranna was thrilled that the dove she raised would get to deliver the letter. She tucked the letter into her dress and giggled on her way out of his room. Shage returned to his bed and sighed heavily.

Arthur heads to him room and sighs gently before Mira comes at him and clings. "Brother why is daddy so mad at the other kingdom." Arthur looks down at Mira "I don't know my dear sister....it is hard to understand what had happen." stares down. He bents down and hugs Mira "I tryed to talk to our father about this but he is stuborn...there is no way getting out of this...its is going to be an endless war...I am just worried about Shage and his sisters." Mira heard that which she nearly started to cry cause she wouldn't be able to play with Claranna again. Arthur could see that and hugs her "Come on you need to head to bed." picks her up and carries her to her room as he would make a servent do it but she need him to do it.

Shage went to his window and looked out to the forest, where the hut was hidden. He looked up as he saw a white bird flap and soar toward the forest to deliver the paper that was strapped to it's foot. He smiled faintly, seeing that the young princess had sucessed. The letter would tell Arthur of the situation, apologize for not being at the secret spot, and ask him to write back.

Once his sister was down he returns to his room. He rubs his neck and really didn't want to go out an fight agaisnt them. But it look like he had no other choice but to fight. Arthur gets changed and lays down on the bed staring up at the ceiling. He was almost asleep himself but heard an dove's call before he looks over. He tilts ihs head watching the dove on balcony railing. He gets off the bed and walks over onto the balcony he notice something white on the bird's leg. He easily picks up the bird and notices it was one of Clarana's doves. Arthur takes the note off the birds leg and reads it. He walks inside with the bird and sets it down on the table. He could trust it not to fly anywhere else since he knew how well Claranna train them. He wrotes a note back and place it on the birds leg. Arthur holds onto the bird and lets it go. When ever the bird return with the note and Shage reads it would say This not either of us fault because our fathers are to blind to see there is something else behind this. I hate fo was to be enemies..my father has order me I will be send out to fight against your kingdom I don't like it but what else can I do. I don't want to fight especial against you. You are to dear to me.

Once again Shage was summoned by his father to speak to him, and again, he was told unfortunate news. Shage was to take blade, and be sent into battle as well. Dispite his how he detested violance, Shage was actually more skill with a sword than any of his brothers. He couldn't argue with his father, tomorrow he was be escorted to the training grounds to get a refresher in fighting. In the meantime he would be confined in his quarters, due to his older siblings knowing how he would want to try to see the prince of the now enemy kingdom. He paced his room then stood at his window. The prince clade in black was starting to worry that the dove didn't make it, when he saw it in the distance. Shage signeled the bird and it flew into his room, settling on his desk. Shage took the letter, and gave the dove a treat, as he read. "What has happened that cause this war?" He said lowly, after reading the letter. He quickly wrote a reply, and was about to send it when he saw the dove was worn out. It wasn't used to so much delivering. Shage would have to deliver the letter tomorrow. The dove went out the window and returned to the bird tower where it lived.

Arthur close the balcony doors before staring out across the forest in the direction to Shage's castle. As he never had admit it to know one but he thought Shage more than an friend to him. Arthur blows out the candle in the lamp before he heads to bed. he closes his eyes and sighs deeply pulling the covers over his head knowing he had to get up earily to train. Since he can sword fight he wasn't that good at it like he was to his archery.

Shage couldn't sleep, he laid in his bed in his nightclothes and just stared at nothing in perticular. 'We're both going to be in battle . . . I hope we don't have to fight each other.' Shage thought as he gently played with the silver ear piercing on his left ear lob. It bore the Drivon Royal family crest. The Drivon family didn't actually wears crowns but wore the crest in form of choice, when one became of age. Shage wore his as the earring, while his father wore a pocket watch and his mother a elabroate neckless. No one outside the family was allowed to touch the crest, unless it was the craftsman, for if someone did it would mean death or marriage. Luckily it was a secret between Arthur and Shage that the other prince had once touched it.

Arthur sighs gently it would take him an while before he ends up falling asleep. He soon drifted into an sleepless dream which was more like an nightmare. He tosses and turn in his sleep as his night mare was about the war and the fighting and the death of one of them but it was hard to tell which prince was killed. There was to much fighting and blood going on as it was enought to wake him up before it got to bad. Arthur sits straight out of bed and panting looking around to see where was. He felt shaking all over from the nightmare as he falls back on the bed staring up at the ceiling.

Claranna had come in at some point in the night, in silent tears from her usual nightterrors and climbed into bed with Shage. He soothed her back to sleep as he held her close. He sometimes wished he could hold Arthur like this, but that was a desire he would keep to himself. The middle toe ring that the girl wore glimmered lightly in the moonlight, the only light in his room. He tried to focus on the soft lightly, to distract himself of the war that was to come. He didn't want to take up the sword again, but his father ordered it, he must follow. 'Please, don't let us meet on the battle field.' Shage prayed silently, untill he finally passed out with the sleeping girl in his arms.

It was hard but he finally falls back to sleep after the nightmare. Soon morning came and no matter how much he didn't want to train he was outside training with the other guards. Seeing his sword skills was abit slow he had to pratice that. They mostly used wooden swords cause training with real swords would be to dangerous. Arthur looks over seeing his father watching him and sighs as this just had to pressure he was already dealing with. All he wanted to do is to run..run away from kingdom but it was his duty as an prince especial if he wanted to be king someday. He still wonder what had made the two kingdoms break up the treaty.

Arthur dodges and kicks the soldier in the guy before slamming the hilt of the wooden sword in his back. The soldier falls down being defeated by the prince. He soon takes an break as he walks over to take an drink of water. "Prince Arthur I know you don't like this but I too don't like where this is heading. Maybe you should talk to your father again." one of his guards says. Arthur looks over at him and shakes his head "It won't do any good..the old man is stuborn..if my mother would alive maybe then he would stop.. I think thats how all of this started because my father was depressed..but it don't understand why he had to take this out on the other kingdom. They didn't do anything wrong." turns around and leans agaisnt the wall. "I need to talk to Shage." says to himself.

Shage barely broke a sweat as he had two soldiers, panting upon the floor before him. This is the fifth round and he was going for the sixth. In training they practiced with dulled blades that could bruise but not cut or seriously injure, that way the weight and size of the blade will be same as on the battlefield. Shage hated this, hated knocking those before him down. His brothers surrounded him in their own training, enjoying taking down. Two of his brothers even were betting on who could get to the twentith round first. The soldiers had their work cut out for them. Shage wore a blank expression, to hide how he truely felt as the next round began with three soldiers. He only wanted to go to his and Arthur's place and watch the other prince throw rocks in the water.

Arthur knew what he had to do as he looks over at his bodyguard. "I'm taking you with me." as he heads to the stables. Evan would blink and follows "Where are we going? Please don't tell me you are going to the other kingdom. your father will throw a fit." Arthur looks at him over his shoulder "I don't care I need to talk to Shage and his parents..maybe they will understand that it isn't completely my father's fault." says as he heads and saddles up his horse as well Evan did the same "Yea but well what if we get caught." Arthur sighs gently "At lease I be in the same place as Shage." says be careful not to say to much about his feelings. Once both men was saddle up and all they both ride out of the gates as a few stare at the prince and his guard leaving. They would head to the other kingdom.

That was it, Shage had enough, and the fact that his brothers kept giving him a hard time for getting to the twentith round before either of them did and he started after they did, didn't help his tolerance. Shage put the dullened blade away in the racks and was barely able to escape his brothers, he wouldn't have if Claranna didn't come in wanting Shage to play. Claranna took Shage out to the gardens and she sat on his lap as she made a crown of small flowers. The gardens were just outside the mansion-like castle and only a few soldiers guarded the corners of it. "Shaggy? When can we play with Mina?" The young princess asked. Shage smiled faintly and placed the finish crown on her head. "When everything settles down." He said softly, seriously starting doubt they could again . . . but he wouldn't let that happen.

It was about a day's trip if there was no stops to the castle. Once they had arrived at the gates right away the guards stop both men. "I am unarmed...I'm here to see the Drivon King. Please let me pass." says. As both Arthur and Evan gets down from their horses and gets escorted inside the castle. Arthur fixes his cloak around himself as they head toward the throne room. Arthur of course looks around for any sign of Shage before they walk into the throne room.

Again Shage had stuck training needlessly with soldiers and his brothers, and unware of the visiting prince's arrival. The king and queen sat upon their thrones. The aging man's face fell when he saw the young prince, but the queen seemed nearly annoyed. "Prince Athur, state your buisness." the man said.

Arthur bows down Evan as well before standing up. He looks at the king and queen before he looks at the king. "Your highness I came to see if there was anyway to stop this war..clearly I know this is my father's fault. And no matter what I tell him he is stuborn. He does not know I am here which I hope it is an good thing that he doesn't." He brushes some of his hair out of his face as he fixes his cloak alittle and crosses his arms over his chest. "Please forgive my father for what he is during ever since my mother's death he had been dealing hard with her death." says. He studies their faces especial the queen who look very annoyed towards him.

King Charles sighed deeply, and shook his head at Arthur. "You do not understand." The king said sollemly. "You should return to your own kingdom, young Arthur." The king said, then looked over at his queen then back at Arthur. "Before you wear out your welcome." He added lowly, then motioned to a guard that stood near the door. "Escort Prince Arthur and his company out." The guard bowed then turned to Arthur. "Please, this way." He urged.

After having enough with the false violance, Shage left the training grounds with the sharpened sword that he was now required to wear on his being at all times. The sword was hidden under the black leather cloak he always wore. 'Tonight I shall deliver the letter. The poor dove should be well rested.' Shage thought, then looked to the doors of the throne room. 'Perhaps I should try speaking to Father and Mother again.' Shage nodded slightly, causing the ear piercing to sway gently, deciding to do so.

Arthur sighs gently and bows to the king an queen before he turns around and follows the guard. Evan leans over "Well that didn't work out like we thought." whispers to the prince. Arthur fixes his cloak and pulls the hood over his head. "You think...I guess nothing I say will make the differents." sighs gently. He looks around abit and walks out of the throne room behind the guard. "You did your best your highness.." Arthur wish he could believe that but he didn't he had a feeling his dream would bout to come true. He looks up and nearly frozen in his place seeing Shage there.
