Hunting in the forest and playing with the peasant children in the capitol, seeing as there was no one his own age in the castle, took up all his free time. As the young boy grew and the time became for dangerous, the Prince was kept within the castle walls. Safe from all manner of threats that might come to call.

At the royal ball following his father passing, Edward's mother (Queen Millicent) announced the prince would marry princess of Callisto (Princess Freya). Along time friend of the family and political ally. Needless to say, Edward was not happy to forced into such a bond. LogicallyDoomed:

Captain Freya Kanda

((I picked this name before I read your bio, so it’s very coincidental, but I think we can roll with it))

Race: Human

Age: 21

Looks:
Height: 5’3”

Weight: 105

Hair color/ length/style: Milk Chocolate brown/ all down her back/ wild

Eye color: Deep Sea Blue

Skin: Lightly tan

Body type: Hourglass figure with some slight muscles.

Attire: Refer to the picture; but with an addition of a underskirt, open in the front and has rips and burns from battles.

Bio: Her parents offered her as a servant girl to a band of pirates, because they were being taken away for the crime of thievery from an elite member of society. Their captain, Johanna, who was female, took the girl in gladly and made her her adoptive daughter; taught her everything about the sea and even educated the girl. The ships name, Tiamat, has been a ship that has always been lead by a female captian (in Near Eastern Mythology Tiamat was a water dragon who had given birth to the gods). Many traditions were past down the line of fine women; two that are usually noted is the distinct smell of water lilies, and a large blue dragon tattoo that wraps around their body; tail starts at their right hip, snakes under the belly button, wraps up the back and the head rests on the left shoulder blade.

The captain’sancestor created a small village, Zehava, only a century ago; it was supported by the crew, from their main raids of selfish royals. It’s a beautiful place, deep blue beach, lush green grass and forest, and only a walk away from a waterfall with a cave within. The location of the village is not on any world map besides the map on the Tiamat. Freya would stay there when she was younger, when the crew was off on a dangerous mission. The village people were all grateful to Johanna and her family that they willing took care of Freya, she was like a princess. The captain, who was around 30 when she adopted the girl, turned over the title to the girl when she was 21. Her first raid happened to be that is a ship of the Prince.

Personality: Open-minded, playful, and very mothering. Even though she is the youngest person on the ship, all the crew treat her like they would their mother, because of her gentle nature and her ability to care for anyone, whether friend or foe, just gains the trust of anyone she comes in contact with. Yet when it came to combat and the likes, she is a fierce fighter; her fans in her crew would describe her movements graceful but feisty. Even though she looks innocent, she is like a siren, very alluring but crafty and clever.

Abilities/ Other: Her weapon of choice would be dual swords, but she can use a wide variety of weapons. She’s a very superstitious person, and believes in all those fortune telling, good luck charms, and all that good mumbo jumbo business. She has one dimple on her left check, it appears when she pouts or smiles. Also very handy in the medical department (her crew always goes into battle, so in order to help she learned from a wise medicine doctor from her adoptive mother’s hometown). She also has tattoos of water lilies on her left arm.

Pince Edward sat at the oak desk in his room aboard the Saint Anne. It was the grandest ship in all of Kale's Military fleet. No other ship was as well armed and elegantly designed as this one. Twice the size of most ships. This beast of the sea's soul job was to only to protect the capitol city and the Royal Family from blood thirsty pirates. Only the finest materials went it building the ship, so it only made sense that this ship would be used to pick up the finest girl in all the lands. Princess Freya of Callisto was due to marry Edward within the month. Her country was made out of mostly farm land and supplied most of the fresh food to the Kingdom of Kale. Who's country was built to the the steep slopes of the Kale Mountain Range. A Place not ideal for planting crops. A marriage between the two countries would mean Kale's food supply would never end.

Looking over at the princess, who was sleeping gracefully on the bed, Edward has to admit it was a smart plan his mother had hatched. His own countries laws clearly stated that he had to be married in order to take up the throne. Kale was going to keep a strong king in the years to come. Pirates had laid waste to many of the low laying cites on the mountain side. Stopping many merchant ships from coming to the coastal Kingdom. One problem after another seemed to have popped up after his father death 3 years ago.

Marriage is the first step to fixed everything that is wrong. Needless to say Edward was not looking forward to this arrangement. He had known Freya since she was just a little baby. She was a full 8 years younger then he was. She was Pretty, well schooled and a complete snob. Seeing servant and peasants as trash not worth her time to talk too. A view Edward did not share due to the fact he would sneak out of the castle just to play with the peasant children when he was younger. Standing up from his chair Edward walked over to his bride-to-be. The soft click of his shoes echoing in the large room. He pulled the silk blankets up. Fixing them so they laid over her body in a more regular fashion. The return trip from Callisto had taken a lot out of the princess. After all she was not use to ship travel. "Maye this arrangement will work out for the best..." the prince said, trying to trick himself into believing he could come to love. His fingers lightly touching the pale girls cheek.

The sound of running drew the Prince's attention to the door. Something was going on. Crew men were running as fast as they could to get onto the deck. Turning from is bride Edward walk out of his room and followed the sounds of talking up onto the main deck. People were going about they normal business of keeping the ship on working order. But a few men were starting to run out the cannon in order of battle. Edward could see the pale coast line of Kale. He could also see another ship heading right for the Saint Anne. Swinging in tightly in order to come right alongside.

[Thats so funny. I could not think of any other princess names other then Freya. I love your pic for the character. I have not drawn my character yet. So your doing to have to make due with stock images ><]

The Tiamat was riding the waves and manipulating the sea wind to have a quicker gain on a royal ship, which they soon identified as the Saint Anne. The some men loaded up the cannon and prepared rope and other items to board the ship, while others were arming themselves with guns, and various swords – cutlasses and sabers to name a few. The captain of the ship was at the bow of the ship watching as the Saint Anna tried to shot at them with little damage, which amused the captain. One crewman approached the captain and bowed before saying, ”Cap’in, we are at the ready to board the ship. What be yer orders?” Turning on her heels Captain Freya Kanda faced the crewman with a serious look, but then a devilish grin took form as the two locked eyes. The cannons from both ships rung through everyone’s ears, with rushed footsteps as an underlining sound. She strode passed him, faced her entire crew and howled,”Your orders are to take as much as you can! Remember, do not harm anyone, if some idiot tries to attack, disarm them only! Stick to the plan and no one will get their a$$ kick by me later! AM I CLEAR!” The whole ship shook with the crews’ response, as their captain jumped from her previous spot onto the deck and ran towards the starboard side of the ship. A wide grin across her faces as she bubbled with excitement to be doing her first raid; she had participated in many, but this was her first time leading it solo. The cannons drew back, as the pirate captain swung onto the Saint Anna, and she was immediately greet with a group of soldiers and their blades. They took one look at her and then lowered their swords slowly, upon seeing this see let out a hardy laugh as she charged at one of the men, punching him straight in the face, rendering him unconscious. While the other men just looked at her with shock in their eyes, she crackled her knuckles and laughed, ”Fools, never let your defenses down!" She snaked around the oncoming swings of swords and kicked and punched man after man unconscious.

Following the suit of their leader, the pirates boarded the ship with ‘Aaargh!’s and other random phrases. Many of them took to combat, taking out handful of men at a time, which allowed the rest to loot the things that were on deck. The captain made a path of unconscious men as she headed towards her desired location, the captain’s quarter of the ship. She did her research before the raid, the Saint Anne was the grandest ship in Kale’s Military fleet, and with a grand ships comes grand treasures. They had see the ship leaving the harbor in Callisto, and decided to trail after it (being pirates they knew how to work the waters and winds to thier advantage, and are able to arrive at a location faster than any royal ship); not truly knowing the reason why the ship had been there, but figure it was transporting goods for the royal family. It was a great opportunity for her first raid; she could go back to her mother with a boat load of fine goods and a great story. Her mother, previous captain of Tiamat, Johanna Kanda, went into retirement at the age of 54 and decided to manage her homemade village, Zehava, leaving the piracy legacy to Freya. Now some may find it odd that a pirate ship and its’ crew were left to the hand of a young woman, without any objections mind you, but this was a tradition for the Tiamat. It was a woman based ship, every captain it has had was female; every male that tried to claim the title was quickly swallowed up by the grim reaper.

Her crewmen were able to subdue all the soldiers, all were on the ground, disarmed, and cursing under their breaths; the ones not guarding the prisoners were busy putting all the contents of the ship. As she paused briefly in front of the captain’s quarters, one of the crewmen approached her. ”Cap’in, it’s seems ye have inherited yet ano’her trait of the Kanda line. Lady luck be blessing you today mi’lady, for we are graced with his royal highness’ presences, Prince Edward of Kale.” As the man stood aside to reveal the prince being tied up and being dragged by two of her men, Freya’s eyes grew wide. Flashbacks of her childhood came flushing into her mind, ones of a boy who claimed to be the prince but often came out to play with the common children. In the man’s face she could see the boy, as she approached him her hand came to his face unconsciously, as she spoke. ”Edward, you weren’t joking about being an actual prince?”

((Oh that’s fine ^^, I just got from photobucket and edited it to make her hair brown.))

Edward could not help but go along with the brutes that were dragging him along. Caught from behind on deck and hit in the head with the hilt of a cutlass, the prince was dazed. Only able to think straight again once the pirates forced him to stand on his own two feet. A thin line of blood ran down the length of his face. Originating from a gash that was hidden in his hair. No doubt he had stood out to these pirates. His royal blue coat must have looked like a shinning beacon among the sea of brown and black the ships crew wore. He had a knew that riding about in such a grand ship was bound to draw the attention of any pirates with good eyes. They were only a few day from Kale. Only a few days from safety.

Standing in front of the captains quarters, Edward had a feeling things would go from bad to worse. He had promised the King and Queen of Callisto that their little girl would come to no harm. He hand no clue what this lot would do once they found out that they had another royal prisoner. What scared him more was how the Princess would react to the pirates. She had a fowl tong when it came to addressing the lower classes. No doubt that she would try to put this lot in their place. Like his Bride, Edward was not going to be pushed around by this scum either. The prince ripped his bound hands free from the grip of the crew man to the his right. There was not much room to move in the narrow hall. His hands flew up to the left. Hitting the face of the pirate who stood in the path. He through his hole body into the next blow. Elbowing the side of the huge man to his right. Making him lose his balance and fall back into the wall. Edward too lost his balance in the struggle toppling over and landing on top of the name he had just attacked.

Pulled up from his place on the ground by his hair, Edward now faced the edge of a blade held by a man that was 3 times his own age. "Nice try" The older man chuckled "The only reason your still alive is because the captain 'ere still has use for you... Although that can 'ange in a signal 'econd" The thick ascent the sailor spoke with made some of the words harder for Edward to understand then other, but their meaning was not lost on him. Don't Do Anything stupid again....
Seeing a figure move behind the man with the nice shiny sword made Edwards hair stand on end. He had not seen this Pirate before now. No doubt it was the pirate captain. It would make sense that this Terrible Man would be the first to go looking for the spoils of war. The Prince of Kale had Expected to see a fierce lion of the Seas. What he was meet with when the Pirate Captain came into his view was a Childhood friend. His mouth hung open at the sight. Of all the places and time to meet again, this would be a place and time he could only think of in dreams. He looked her up and down. She had really grown since they had been bratz together. Edward drew back from her touch. "And I would never thought you would be linked with such scum..." His voice was sharp and to the point. Showing the girl he was not happy about this revelation. "... Unless This whole situation is not what it seems to be."

SLAP. The sound seemed to vibrate throughout the whole ship, everything seemed to go still and everyone went to a dead silent. Edward now had a deep red hand mark on his left check and Freya’s hand came slowly back to her side. Her face turned dark, a serious frown on her face with her eyes set ablaze with anger as she grabbed Edward by the coat with her left hand and forced him to look her in the eyes. “Think of me anyway you want, but don’t you ever call my men scum.” The words seemed to drip with poison as she annunciated each and every word; if Edward wasn’t going to die from the fire in her eyes he would most likely die from the poison. “They are braver and even nobler men than any of the soldiers who reside on this ship, or even those serving the royal family. Your kind don’t consider anything but wealth and power, never thinking, even once, about the little people they harm.” Her gaze shifted towards the captain quarters, a thought had come to her mind; more like a memory of an overheard conversation. Before setting off to chase after the Saint Anne, she had heard about the Princess of Callisto was heading out to get married. Putting two and two together, she could just guess what was in the captain’s quarter, and her face twisted with disgust. Her right hand had found one of her dual blades at the back of her hip, release it from its sheath, and brought it rather close to Edward’s tanned neck. “People like you and that little ‘princess’ of yours are the reason why so many people are suffering in both of your kingdoms. It’s people like you that pushed me into this kind of life!” Her eyes flashed with a hit of sadness, but regained its fierce fire and she continued on. “We haven’t touched any of your people, nor have we majorly injured any of your men. Those idiots you have as guards attacked first and we only knock them out. That’s why before making accusations about other people, take a look in the mirror, Prince Edward of Kale.”

She gave him a slight bow, one that was not out of respect but out of mockery; he had insulted her crew, her family, and more importantly her pride as a pirate. They weren’t like most pirates, they stole, but only from those who have stolen from their people. They have always aim for Callisto’s boats and from time to time boats from Kale; sometimes if they felt adventurous they would snag onto a rumor about an evil overlord from a distant land and teach him/her a lesson. That was the code of the Taimat crew; justice must be brought back to the people by punishing those who deserved it. “Place his highness in his quarters; do not let them leave, leave the two lover birds to do what they want.” She slide passed him not even giving him a sideways glance, her shoes making clacking noises as she went back onto the deck of the ship. Taking in a breath of fresh sea air, Freya let out a deep exasperated breath; a small smile came to her face. Crewmen, whose hands were free, came over to their captain and had asked what had happened; they had indeed heard an echo a slap throughout the ship. Punching on in the shoulder, she gave a big pirate grin and laughed the question off. Seeing that some of the soldiers and men of Edward’s crew had some injuries, she grabbed some first aid materials and headed over to the group of men. As she approached and motioned to them that she would like to treat their wounds, they were yelling foul things at her, saying ‘Don’t touch me!’ or ‘Dirty pirate!’ Her men that were keeping an eye on the prisoners, raised their hands to give them a blow, but Freya raised her hand to signal them to stop. “Remember, be it friend or foe, those who are injured must be taken care of, understood?” Her eyes shifted from the group of Edwards men and back at her own; her eyes had sternness to them, but also a gentle tint to it, like a mother would give when lecturing a child. Edward's men looked at the young woman standing before them in a different light, some even blushed as she tended to their wounds.

As she treated the wound the last of the men, she let out a gentle smile to them as one of her men approached. “What be yer plans now mi’lady, all de goods ‘at are ‘ere in dis ship can’t all fit in de wee little Tiamat.” The man waved his hand over to the Tiamat as he spoke; it was indeed a smaller ship when you compared it to the Saint Anne. Tapping her chin lightly with her index finger, as she crossed the deck to face her ship, she came up with their solution. Getting on to one of the rope ladder, so that she could be heard on both the ships she yelled her instructions. “Set sails to both ships! We set off for home!” Both the ships rumbled with responses from her crew, and to her surprise some of Edward’s crew. With a smile she jumped down and headed towards the Saint Anne’s stirring wheel.

((I was thinking that the ship be taken while they were at Zehava, one of Edward’s men, maybe a trusted right hand man of Edward’s or of Princess Freya, was able to steal the Tiamat. An act of revenge as well as a gift to the Kale kingdom, since his goal was to return and ask for back up. Does that sound fine to you? Oh and the village, has lots of shops and such, so maybe picture something like Jamestown in the middle of its growth period.))

perfect.imperfection: The sting of her words. The sharp feeling left by her hand. It all made him sick. She spoke nothing but lies. The captain of the Saint Anne had held off on firing on the Taimat until the very end. Only when conflict was unavoidable did the captain rum out the guns. His eyes were cold as ice as he stared at the floor, as the wretched women talked. What did she know about the life of nobility. About the burdines it carried. What a sharp knife to his throat Edwards tongue did not stand still. "Would you rather I call your lot corpses? Because you will hanged for what you have done today. The law is clear when dealing with with thief and pirates!"

Edward looked up from his place on the ground. His eyes locking with hers. His face showed both anger and betrayal. He hand remembered that as children they had been very close. In fact he hand spent more time with her then he had with boys his own age. Since their separation Eward had created an image of her in his mind. In it Freya was his perfect women. Kind, brave, caring, resourceful, bold and yet timid at the same time. If class had not been an issue back then Edward would have asked for her hand. Meeting her, again, like this had shattered his childhood image. The prince tugged at his arms trying to free them from both the ropes and the men that were holding them. It had been the first time in his life he had wanted to hit a girl "Its because of pirate like you raiding ships people in kale suffer, how many towns have you sacked? How many people have you killed for a few pieces of gold?" He screamed down the hallway as she left, as he was locked away in the captain quarters.

The door shut with a heavy thump. The sound of clicking metal a sign that the pirate had used the master key to lock the door from the outside. No doubt the key had been stolen off the Captain. Edward let out aloud scream of anger as his boot connected with the door. Which woke his sea sick princess from her sound sleep. She looked at him with sleepy eyes. "What's wrong Eward? Why are you mad?" Her voice was soft and lush like a princesses should be. Clueless to the situation she had no cause for alarm or fear. Edward looked back at her with a cold stare. He was not in the mood to talk. his voice was mono time and to the point "Get dressed promptly and get some more rest. I don't know what going to happen next"

Edward had been locked in his room for days. The Pirates who brought him and his bride food would say nothing of the situation on the ship or where they were heading too. It was 5 days after being boarded that Edward caught wind of anything. Shouts and calls for sailor loyal to the "Pirate Queen" to rise to action broke silence of the night. The Prince rose from his sleeping spot on a small and thinly padded coach. Looking to the door he noticed an out of place White piece of paper was laying a few inches away from the door. Opening the paper the note read:

Your Highness,
First Mate Brasst and 5 other sailor have taken the enemy ship and sailed for help.

- Captain Brewster

[Kool. I am find with that idea.]

LogicallyDoomed:

After they had arrived in Zehava, the whole village went into a party mode; the streets filled with music, everyone was drinking and dancing at the same time, it was a joyous evening indeed. Freya, the very few who didn’t feel like intoxicating herself, was busy with people fawning over her, asking her to describe the occurrence that brought about the festivities. With a big pirate smile she told them of how the snuck up on the ship and how they took control of the ship; doing awkward motions to get the kids to laugh. As everyone started to take to the streets to dance the night away, Freya just watched them from afar, placing herself on the out skirt of the main street. With a smile on her face, she watched her drunken crew, sing a song dedicated to her; she laughed at their slurred words and awkward motions. When they had finished and went back to the big crowd of people, Freya’s joyous eyes turned melancholy. Edward’s word and his accusatory tone had been spinning around her head the whole time, her hands formed fist at the recollection. Who was he to judge, he didn’t know who she was, all he knew about her was the cute little girl she had been long ago. He didn’t know what pain his kind had done to her, and his assumption that her crew ransacked innocent town infuriated her; did he not see the reality, it was the overlords who were sucking the villages dry, that people looked to her crew for stability? No he wouldn’t, he was stuck inside his fancy castles, being fed lies about the statues of towns, and made to believe he was doing what was best for his country. There were dozens of lords who were convincing the king that they were doing well in their cities, which was not true since they convinced the king that the people were paying taxes and as punishment he should raise the taxes, but in reality the lords were keeping half of the peoples pay; they were manipulating royalty! “Feh, he doesn’t know diddly, all he knows is palace life…” she said out loud to herself.

Her angered slowly disappeared as she remembered that he was royalty the entire time; when he played with her when they were little it was probably out of pity. Now she found their relationship insulting, to say the least, but she couldn’t ignore the fact that it hurt her to think that that was the foundation of their relationship. She had fancied Edward when she was little, but her being of the lowest class in the city and not knowing where Edward came from; she highly doubted that she had any chance of being with him. Every time she would go into the village, people would look at her and grimace, saying insulting things like ‘she is a dirt child’ and ‘her parents are pathetic, the poor little cretin’. Yet she was a strong little girl and would not let their word’s get to her, so every day she forced a smile; well except when she was with Edward, her smiles were true with him. Recalling the hurtful words she gentle rubbed her upper arms and shivered her back towards the happiness of the villages. From that point she could see the Saint Anne (the Tiamat was place on the other side of the island), she shifted lightly at the sight and sighed. 'I can’t show him that pirates are as bad as he says, I’ll just bring him a little party food and alcohol. Hopefully his tight knickers can see this as a gesture of peace.'Grabbing an armful of food and a full bottle of liquor, she slipped from the party seen to the Saint Anne. The sea breeze lightly kisses her skin, and the sea salt fills her lungs. Freya pauses for a second and closes her eyes and takes it all in, a slight ritual of hers, and then she ends up in front of the boat. The guards on duty salute their new supposed leader, and she smiles and nods at them as she enters the Captain’s quarters. She sees the door for Edwards’s room and takes a small pause to compose herself, just in case he blows up at her.

Walking into to the grandly decorated bedroom, she had to take up so much energy not to grimace; which she was successful but her gut twisted in protest. Her eyes came in contact with Princess Freya, who was not well spoke of in her own kingdom. Freya had hear of her selfishness and her amazing acting skills, her father was always wrapped around her finger. Of course she would be a target of the Taimat, raiding ships baring gifts for the ‘glorious’ princess, most from admirers and wedding proposals. ‘Pathetic really men nowadays, I would have never expected Edward…gah never mind, I don’t care if he gets screwed out of all his money by this spoiled brat.’ As the princess turned to her, she gave a small bow of the head as she said, “I’m sorry for not allowing you on to our lands your highnesses, but I just thought that our accommodations would not have been to your liking and that you would have preferred to have stayed on your ship instead. The whole village is in a celebratory mode and I just thought as a peace offering I would give you some of the festive food and our village’s known-for wine.” She placed her items on the table, her eyes never meeting Edward’s, but she could feel him staring her down with hateful eyes. Sighing she took out three glass from a nearby cupboard and set them on a desk, and as she poured some wine in each she notice a note, one stating that Edward’s men had taken the Taimat. Her eyes grew wide in panic and she whipped around to look Edward died in the eye; she was not mad that her ship was stolen, maybe just a tad bit, but right now she fear for the men’s safety. The Taimat is a living ship, it chooses who stirs and controls the ship, and no one else can even temporarily take over the ship unless given an order, and the lucky ones who have had that pleasure has always been an Kanda woman. Men who have tried to take control have fallen to the Taimat’s wrath and were swallowed whole by the sea.

“Edward, is this note real? If it is your men are in grave danger!” She strode over to him, note in hand, and her face showed the utmost concern. Looking deep within his eyes she tried to give him a sign to trust her. Then she began pacing, coming up with an idea to get to the ship before anything happens. “You wouldn’t even believe me if I told you how they are in danger, but please believe me on this one! My ship is not like any other ship! We must find your men and quickly!”

perfect.imperfection: [I changed the Princess Name from Freya to Freja. I think it will be a little less confusing this way.]

It has take three days to sail from the place the ship had been captured to the island they were birthed at now. Looking out through the rooms window, Edward tried to take hold of the situation. This group of pirates where a clever lot. Instead on sailing into a large pirate port and displaying their catch for all to see, they instead chose to keep it too themselves. Bringing the Saint Anne to an island that appeared on none of the maps Kale had. Edward guessed that this was their home base. A secret, but thriving, community outlaws and pirates who take joy in robbing hard working people of their things. The towns edge was maybe a half a mile from the roughly constructed ship docks. The town it's self was looked roughly constructed too. Clear to any citizen of a larger kingdom that the paupers here, uneducated in building and town planning, had simple stuck houses randomly in the closest forest clearing to their harbor. The young lord could see the dancing flames of the bon-fire in the center of town. Such a large hall of loot and royal hostages was good reason for these outlaws to celebrate. The happy music echoed through the night. Edward could hear from his place aboard the Saint Anne. It made him sick to think these people where now placing Freya on top of a pedestal for what she had done. For proving Kale's military might was nothing compared to their cunning and courage. For even convincing some of Edwards very own crew to defect to a life of crime.

Edward let out a deep sight and returned his over sized desk chair that looked like a copy of the gold and blue throne at the palace in Kale. This had been his bed for the last three nights. Since the attack Edward had been forced to share the room with Princess Freja. Feeling it safer to keep her at arms reach and away from any pirate man that might've wanted to take advantage of the fact their was no longer any law on the ship. In all honesty the wear of the situation was starting to show. The young prince needed to get some sleep in a proper bed soon or he might just snap from it all. As if the gods wanted to pour more salt in his wounds, the doors opened up to Freya bringing wine and food that looked tasty. A welcomed departure from the gruel which he had been eaten since leaving Kale's port. Although bringing a little good food was not going to make up for everything she had done. His eyed the way the pirate girl moved with graceful movements. As the smell of the meal drifted over his nose. The lord fought the urge to jump up and eat it right away. His lordly pride was the only thing he still had intact and he was not about to show Freya that she had power over his stomach too.

She spoke politely giving dew respect. It was lost on Princess Freja though. Her nose was stuck high in the air. Not willing to slower herself into a conversation. Something about the way the pirate conducted herself must have bugged her, for her wit was quick in replying to what the pirate girl had said. Freja had even beaten Edward to the draw. "you can keep your land. It would only dirty my dress. I like my dresses clean." he voice was sharp and snobbish. Making it clear that she would never be a friend. Rising from her place on the silk sheeted bed. Freja make her way over to Edward. Her movement were well refined and graceful. If one was not paying attention. They might swear that she was an ghost, for she walked with hardly any sound. After all a proper princess is seen and not heard. There was only two candles light in the whole room. The large wall of windows at the back of the room let in enough moonlight for the time being. Enough light to see the dolled up Freja place a loving kiss on Edwards cheek. This princess was not shy about showing her affection for the man she loved. She took her place behind the chair Edward sat in. One on his Lilly white hand on his shoulder while the other rested in Edward's own hand. Which he brought to his mouth to place a kiss on her slim fingers, in proper custom. Freja's eyes were cold and sharp. She was marking a clear line in the sand. Edward was hers and no one was going to take him away. "You may leave the food" she said; her voice now taking on softer light, although still as deadly as every "on the counter to your right will be fine. After that please leave. Your covered in dirt. Who know what types of bugs have come in with you, right Edward?" her hands rolled through his hair as she place the stray stands back into an orderly fashion.

A smirk crossed his face as Edward looked back back out at the town. He thumped his feet lazily on top of the Finley carved oak desk. "Your right princess. We do not know what bugs are here because neither of use have ever been in his area of the sea before. You can never be to careful with those little critters. Give them an inch and they take a mile...." Edward let out a sight soft looking back at Freya said "but that is still no reason to be rude to our host who has kindly kept us alive. Feel free to have a drink with me. There is lots to discuss." Edward grandly motioned to all the chairs around the room. Each one, like his desk chair, was finely craved from oak and covered in different colored velvet fabric. "Pull up a chair for yourself"
The look of alarm on Freya's face as the words on the note sunk in amused him. Her control was starting to slip and the two side were starting to become equal. Her words did not fall on deaf ears. It seemed, to Edward, that Freya had retained the kind heart she had had as a child. The pirate almost looked tearful at the though of Edward's men being cut down by what ever guard had been placed on her ship. Perhaps this was her sign of weakness or maybe just a clever way making the prince listen, whatever it was Edward was unable to ignore her. He took his feet from the top of his desk and sat upright in a lordly manor. Ready to do business with the pirate. "If I stop my men from stealing your ship what will you give me in return? How badly do you want to keep that ship within your grasp?" he asked with narrow eyes.

The crew men of the saint Anne. Took their time making their way through town. Progress had been slow since their were so many people out and about at night. The only cover they has was the town building them-self. Most of the streets they came across were quite wide. Enough space for horses and carts to maneuver. The small group traveled north. Blending in with the drunken masses when they could. The party was a blessing. Most , if not all, the town was that this event. Which meant that guard patrols would be light. If the saint Anne had happened across this island in any other fashion, there would have been no way of knowing that this place was hope to pirates. It all looked so normal. Like a town you might find in Kale or any other kingdom. There were any families out enjoying the night. Many had small children width them. The question on how they come to be in this place cross a few of the men's minds and they looks for any signs that would point then in the direction of the pirate ship that had attacked them on the open seas. The pirates had though head and birth the ship separately from their fishing ships. After almost an hour of searching the town the clue they needed came from a drunk pirate was stupid enough to mistake one of the saint Anne's crew for a memeber the Titmat's night watch.

When the crew of six men arrived at the pirate ship they took no chances. They searched no normal looking ship high and low for any crew member that might still be on board. They found it odd that here was no one guarding such a fine ship. No doubt the silly pirate felt confident that no one would ever find the ship in the well hidden bay. A smirk cross the first mate's face as he thought that he had out smarted the pirate which held his lord captive. He started to order the men he had brought with him to rig the small ship for sailing. If everything went smoothly they should be well out to sea by morning and on their way to get help.

LogicallyDoomed:

Freya’s eyes grew wide at the words that came so easily to the prince’s mouth; was this man seriously considering making a deal when human lives were at stake? Did she stutter when she said that his men were in danger, or did the ‘perfect prince’ have a hearing problem? Or did he simply not care for their lives… She closed her eyes as she held in the urge to twist her face in disgusted. When she opened her eyes, her face was stoic but her eyes didn’t hide the disappointment deep inside. Her minds couldn’t help but retreat back to the memories of a kind hearted boy who brought a genuine smile to her grimy childhood. Even though she didn’t believe that he could be an actual prince, she did know he had to have some kind of status, and it amazed her at his willingness to be friends with people beneath him. She had always watched from afar as he played with the town kids, but since they didn’t like her very much they made sure to keep him as far away from her as possible. One day they adventured into the dangerous parts on the outskirts of the town; wild dogs had been spotted there and had injured several serfs that dared go there in search of food. Since she was all alone, Freya had to venture here to keep alive, but she always had a makeshift bow, arrows and a knife that an older woman gave her in exchange for half of anything she caught or gathered. She had been following the group of kids when a wild dog came out of nowhere a couple feet away from them. All the town kids turned right around and ran but Edward (who probably came in contact with trained dog) hadn’t moved an inch, even extended his hand as if to pet the dog. Panicked, Freya sprinted to him and shouted for him to duck as she shot an arrow right into the dog’s chest as it tried to lunge at Edward. The dog tried to keep a tough face, but it couldn’t stand with the pain that was coursing throw his body from the new wound. Freya knew that it would be better if she just left then, as she didn’t want to interact with such a glorious person as Edward.

Yet his word’s stopped her, ‘You can’t just leave him like that! Sure he tried to attack me but he looks like his in a ton of pain. Please do something!’ She turned to look at him, his eyes glazed with unshed tears and fists at his sides. She hadn’t dare look him in the eyes as she walked passed him and heading towards the growling dog. She took out her knife and the dog jolted up but whimper as it came back down to ground, clenching its teeth in pain. Lifting a shaking hand to the dog’s head she petted it and whispered ‘Don’t be afraid, I’m only trying to help’, and she gentle made a small cut near the wound. The dog barked out in pain and bit down on Freya’s leg, who had made an effort to not shout out. Edward attempted to come closer to help her out, but she motioned for him to stay where he was; the dog was looking from him to her. She forced a smile at him, if she wanted to help the dog she had to gain its trust, she again gently petting the dog’s head and whispering comforting words. With her leg still in the dog’s mouth, she tugged at the arrow and it came out clean. He released her leg and began licking at his wound, but Freya petted his head to stop, tore the hem of her already tattered clothing and began wrapping it around the wound. They exchanged looks and the dog limped away from the scene, leaving silence to take over the remaining two beings. Freya awkwardly shifted her weight one way to the other before announcing that she should leave, but as she passed by him he grabbed her by the arm. ‘You just saved a life! How can you be acting so calm, how did you know what to do? Who are you?’ From that moment onward they were inseparable.

Now as Freya looked into the eyes of this haughty prince, her eyes drooped, how could such a loving boy turn into something as cold as this being in front of her? ‘Just because you are willing to let them die, I won’t’ Freya turns her back on the prince as a single tear rolls down her cheek at the final realization that her dear friend is as good as dead. But as she approaches the door to captain’s quarters she immediately shifted her mood, from sorrow and anguish to one of the fierce nature that all the lands have know her for. How dare this prince think so lowly of human lives, how dare he insult her crew and home, how dare he be so cocky when he is in no place to be making deals. Well she was going to teach him a lesson, a devilish grin was plastered on her face as she swings open the door. “Alaster! Blaise! I need you guys to do something for me!” she howls so that the guards could hear her from where they stood outside the ship. In a matter of seconds they appear at her side, excitement taking over them slightly as they see the grin on their captain’s face. She closes the door behind her but leaves it a crack open and her hand on the knob. In a hush whisper she says, “Listen you two, and listen well, the men of the Saint Anne have taken the ship.” Both let out a ‘pfft’ but with a stern look from Freya they regain composure. “You know as well as I what their fate shall be if they are to go even more than 5 miles from the island without my permission. What I want you to do is, first and for most find first mate Cole, if the bastard isn’t drunk off his arse and follow close behind the men. Wait until the occurrence has begun and the men are thrown of the boat by the water, have Cole board the ship immediately and take the wheel. As soon as that happens the water will go calm, but you know this shall be a difficult task. When the men are safely on the boat don’t forget to remind them of who is in charge and who they should be thankful to for saving their lives. Also,” She says as she removes a necklace, a bottle containing some blue liquid, “make each man drink a drop of this. Do not tie them up; treat them as we would comrades, alright? Now I want only you three on this assignment, let the other enjoy their time, and this event is mentioned to no one, understood?” They raise their hands to their heads and start to sprint toward the town. With a slight sigh Freya reenters the room, but as she opens her eyes to face Edward once again they are filled with fire and her aura has changed to that of a true captain of the Taimat.

Walking all the way to Edward’s desk, she plants her left foot right on top of the desk as she says with as much venom as possible. “Why laddy it be not wise to make deals with a pirate, especially the captain. Don’t they teach ye nuthin in that castle of yers?” she says with a hearty pirate like laugh, her hand on her stomach and leaning backwards. She stops laughing and her eyes return back to lock with his as she continues, “But I won’t turn down the offer, but we play by my rules. I have just sent my men out to chase after yours, now if they don’t come back with your men then I will be more than glad to release you, your beloved princess, ship and crew, and even throw in a personal escort by yours truly back to Kale. Easy enough for you to win right? I mean your men have how many minutes before mine?” She begins to pace in front of the desk, pretending to be shaken by the fact that her men may not come back with captives. But of course she knew that they will, and it was hard for her to suppress her smile. “However, if my men do, by some miracle, come back with your men then it all depends on what their stories are of how they were brought back. Now I give you another chance to win here, see pirates are not that bad, if they say my men boarded the ship and took over using force than you are free to go, but you must leave some of the Saint Anna’s cargo here. I have a village to support so we are in need of whatever goods you had on the ship. If your men tell of a different story… well then it is my win. Fair enough?” She sits almost seductively on top of the desk, holding her hand out for them to shake on it. Her face has a plastered on smile, one she has used on shady dealers in distant ports to get exactly what she wanted without having to do much of anything in return. Knowing the prince’s ego and the odds seemingly better on his end he would have no reason as to why he wouldn’t accept the deal. This shall be an easy one for her, no doubt about it.

-----------------------------

A few minutes later…

It wasn’t hard for Alastar and Blaise to find Cole, who was surprisingly sober and was already waiting at the port where the Taimat would have been. He had the boat set and ready to go. Apparently he had come back to the ship to retrieve something he had forgotten and found that the ship was gone. Knowing the captain he stayed put and got the boat ready as soon as she need them to leave. The three men row fiercely toward the ocean, already seeing the clouds that cover only a certain spot in the water. A few minutes later the water around them have turned fierce and threatening, but the men push forward, knowing that at this point the Saint Anne’s men are about to be throw over board. As the boat is in eye view, they see a gigantic wave that seems to have taken the form of a dragon crash onto the ship. Six bodies are now swimming frantically in the water as the three men row up to scoop each one of them into the small boat, they come up to the Taimat and Cole throws up a rope with a hook at the end and begins the difficult scale up. The Saint Anne men are screaming, asking why they weren’t sailing away to safety, but Alastar and Blaise told them to hold tight since it will be over soon. The men look at them like they were crazy, but as of now they were the only hope they had of surviving this.

As Cole reaches the deck of the ship the clouds part and the water starts to calm down by the second, and while he makes the walk towards the wheel he is gently running his hands around any area of the ship. He had been on the ship almost as long as Freya, but being a boy and being four years older allowed him to be on the ship more often than she. During the calmer moments at sea Johanna told him the story of the ship and island, the connection it shares and the importance of treating both with as much respect as one would treat someone they love. ’The Taimat has a living sole Cole, now don’t give me that look, it does. It was supposedly born from the island and explains why only the Taimat can ever find this island. It chooses the captain of the ship, as you have probably heard from the other crew men. Also to add more to that evident, all of the captain’s of the Taimat have been female, and why, supposedly a woman, a Kanda, had floated to the island after a horrible wrench at sea. She found the Taimat in the cave we hold it, and a spirit in the form of a water dragon told her to board and take the ship as her own. It ordered her to bring justice to people who were in need of it, and she was glad to do so. She was told that if a person was to take Taimat, one that she or the ship didn’t want, then they shall come face-to-face with a watery grave. So I suggest whenever possible try and make a simple and kind gesture to the ship, I need her to like you because Freya will need someone like you to help her when she takes over. You understand Cole, I’m entrusting my one and only daughter and ship in your care, don’t let me down.’ From then on Cole did all he could to know anything and everything that could insure that he could fulfill this duty to make Johanna proud; she was a great woman and you would never want to disappoint her. Plus he began to take a fancy of the girl, and couldn’t wait till they worked together to support Zehava. In his eyes she was pure brilliance and believed that many if not all who come in contact with her will fall immediately in love with her, and he was no exception. Yet he knew that she is currently preoccupied with her job as captain to even consider a romantic relationship, so he keeps his feelings to himself.

When he reaches the wheel all is calm and he yells for the men to board the ship. Alastar and Blaise tell him of the bottle that Freya had instructed that the men should drink and her orders as to what to do. Cole asks to look at the bottle and he immediately knows what it contains – truth serum. Freya and Johanna hand stumble upon it during their ‘daughter and mother only’ adventures in Guiscard, a land were all are in hot pursuit of the latest knowledge and have a drive to understand many aspects of the world. Apparently this serum will force any who drink it to tell the truth as well as force them to tell it if someone were to ask. They convinced the men that it was a medicine to warm up the body since they were in the water for a while. Then Alaster explain to the men that the only reason why they even bothered to come to the men’s rescue rather than just take the ship and leave was only because their captain had ordered them to save them. Blaise includes the fact that they weren’t going to try them up and punish them for their deed, only because Freya would not allow it. Telling them that her morale was that be it friend or foe all should be treated with respect, and gave the men credit for making it this far. Shock registered on their faces, they grit their teeth and say that it can’t be possible, but from the way things had been going, they couldn’t over look at the lack of brute force that was used and the kindness that they were shown. Cole directed their attention back to the journey back to the island, his mind wondering as to what Freya had up her sleeve that needed the sailors to take truth serum.

[[I hope the way they first meet is okay with you. Sorry I didn’t consult with you first @-@ Also I thought that since the prince has a love interest, Freya should have one as well ^^ I hope that that is okay with you. I know it’s pretty long, so if you have any question or clarification please tell me]]

Edward stood, gripping the pirates hand with strength that matched her own. The deal was too good to pass up. Leaving some of his cargo behind was a small price to pay in order to leave this nightmare behind. Princess Freja was not too happy with the conditions of the barter. She had no wish to leave any of the wedding gifts which laid in the bowels of the ship. The prince puffed out his chest and walked around desk. Oozing an air of confidence that he knew would get on the Pirate Lords nervs. He had spent almost all his childhood by her side, He knew her almost better then she knew herself. He held his hand out stretch toward the cabin door. He bowed deeply showing his respect towards the captain of the Taimat. "I have much faith that my men will not fail to take your fine ship. But..." He paused mid sentence to place a cocky smile on his face. As he walked to the door and opened it for the pirate lady "in the event that my men are captured would you'll like to pick out your half of the cargo now? It shall save me time. I do wish to set sail as soon as possible. After all I do have a schedule to keep."

The princesses eyes turned green with envy. This pirate lass ,if the uneducated poor were judging, was prettier by comparison. Although right now you could barley tell through the grungy hand woven clothing and dirt on her face. This women who looked as thought she had not seen port for many weeks had captured "her" prince's attention. Perhaps there had been something placed in the wine. She had always heard rumors of plants growing on these smaller islands that could fog a mans mind and enchant the heart. Since the pirate witch had entered the room Edward had not taken his eyes off of her. It was almost maddening to see her own prince acting so kind and proper to someone of this standing. Freya had been nothing but rude, to the Royal Couple, since the moment they had met each other. Freja's face turned into a worried look and she darted passed the pirate pauper. Her shoulder purposely smacking, hard, into Freya's back as she rushed over to her beloved prince. The princess through her arms around the princes neck and gave him to choice but to gab hold on her wait in order for the pair of bodies to stay up right. "Edward" her voice matched the worried look on her face, so her words would hit much harder. Her eyes almost teared as she spoke to. Edward was well know for having a soft spot for crying women. He would do almost anything to cheer the downward damsel up. "Don't leave me here alone. I am scared by all these rough men around." Edwards eyes darted from his "wife", to be, to the pirate "princess" which stood by the desk. This was not a position he wanted to be in. He brought his hand up to her head and ran his finger through her hair. He watched as tears rolled down her face. He could not tell if they were real or faked. For these last few days had been stressful for both of them. Edward let out a sigh "I am doing my best to get rid of these commoners. Don't you want that?" Freja nodded her head as she laid it on his chest. Her mouth opened once more in protest. But her voice fell short as her eyes locked on some bone soaked men who stood in the hallway. All of them were shivering as if it was the middle of winter.

Edward noted the lack of fight from his princess and thought it odd. Freja was never one to give up so early. Only when the men were marched into the room did he know why she had fallen silent. Freedom suddenly looked a whole lot farther away. Edward forced the girl off. He then raced to the front of the room so he might see the faces of the men,his men. Their was five in total. One wore a military uniform and looked to be in his early 40's. The next three in the line looked no older then 30. They all wore common clothing which looked hand made and had not seen wash in many days. No doubt these men were commoners who had been drafted into working on the ship as extra hands. The last person in the doomed rescue party was no older then 13 years if age. He also wore common hand made clothing which looked almost two sizes too big. The lads face showed the marks of battle. Blood ran down his face from a cut on his forehead. His lips too were soaked in blood as there was a matching gash on his lip. The prince watched as the young boy shivered in his wet clothing. Edwards face was stern as he spoke his peace to the pirate which held onto the boys ropes. "Let Him Go.."

The pirate smiled ear to ear. He looked at the man who had once been his prince. "No" the deserter said blankly. His word having a joyous tone to it. "I no longer take orders from you lot as you can clearly see." The deserter motioned to all the other outlaws in the room with them. "in fact I just might keep the boy. Turn him into my own little slave. I always wanted someone to cook my meals for me" All pirates laughed loudly as they watched the wimpy boy try to break free of his captor by lunging forward. Muffled words escaped his ganged lips as he was pushed to his knees to keep him under control. Edward snapped out "Let him go!" again. This time his tone of voice was more fanatic. The former citizen of Kale almost took too much delight in the control he was executing over his former employer. He placed his large boot on the child's back forcing the bound boy all the way down, until his check touch the well polished wooden floor board of the ships room. Edward worried face turned quickly into anger as he watched the scoundrel laugh in his face. Without warning Edward lunged forward taking the pirates own sword from its sheath. He then held the sharp point to the mans thought. Nixing the skin and drawing blood. At once laughing man froze in fear. Confusion showing plan on his face. Edwards eyes did not leave the mans confused gaze as he heard the few other "real" pirates in the room draw their own weapon in response to his own aggression. Freja let out a gasp as she backed herself into the closet corner. She wished longed the create the most distance between herself as the brawl which was almost about to break out. Edward voice was firm and quite. He spoke no louder then in a common conversation. The room was silent enough for his words to be heard by all without screaming. "Now, Let my brother go... or I shall make you release him by force."

LogicallyDoomed:

Freya’s eyes grew wide at what had suddenly taken places; there stood a few of her newer recruits and some men from the Saint Anna that had gone rouge. What made her eyes narrow was at the mistreatment of their captives; the boot that had been placed upon the boys back was itching to get broken. As Edward lunged forward and declared that the boy had been his brother, Freya was assessing the situation at hand. She had found it intriguing that a prince of Kale had been dressed in rags and she found it insulting that these hooligans thought they could do whatever they desired on her island. Letting a low animalistic growl past her lips she decided to see where the ‘oh so grand’ crown prince of Kale was about to take things. When the band of rouge decided to take things to the more physical level, slowly advancing on the prince with their swords, she took a step forward. “What kind of cowardly men would dare gang up on a person? As well as tie that said person’s hand with a hostage, pathetic if you ask me.” The men turned their swords in her direction, holding up her hands she displayed her lack of a sword, to show that she wouldn’t dare fight. Putting a hand on Edward’s shoulder to convince him to put down the sword, she slowly turned to her recruits and gave them a sneer, “It’s even worse to know that I actually put time into considering and finally accepting you lot as part of my crew. What did this man say to you to get him to side with him, hm? Did he promise you riches, treasure, the crown of Kale? Ha! Insolent fools, this man can guarantee you NOTHING! You disgust me.” As she stared them down the total lack of emotion in her eyes sent small shivers down the men’s back, but quickly acted like her words didn’t affect them; gripping and raising their swords slightly higher. They were about to go head and just slice her to bits when the leader held up his hand to tell them to hold their grounds. When they did Freya could hold back the unlady like snot.

She turned on her heels to come face to face with the leader of the band of misfits. He raised his sword to meet her throat and warned her “I suggest you don’t take part of this my fair pirate queen. Though I find your words about my person deeply wounding, this is business between the prince and myself! I wouldn’t want to injure such a beauty.“ His sword cut her neck slightly, blood dripped down from the wound, and his focus completely on the blood running down her neck. As his gaze returned to her face, he was frozen to his spot by the intense coldness of her eyes, a smirk on her face, not even caring that she was bleeding. With one finger she pushed the blade away slightly, taking a step forward towards the man and brushed the collar of his shirt slightly. “Business between you and the prince only hm? Then why bring this innocent child into the conversation if it’s only between you two!” With as much forces as possible, she kicked the man’s leg off the boy; bone could be heard cracking and an agonizing cry escaping the man’s mouth. “You shouldn’t have done that you bitch!” A random man shouted at her and it seemed to rile up the rest of them, they seemed to slowly inch closer to her. She took a quick look around the men coming at her, but her gaze traveled to the floor to the shivering boy at her feet. Her eyes drooped at the sight, ‘This should never have happened… I don’t want him to put in any more danger… Think Freya!’ Closing her eyes she decided the best plan of escape ‘I could do that…’

“Keep your knickers on you fools! I have a deal to offer you lot.” Her eyes coming in contact with every other me, she could see whispers being exchange. They seem to agree to listen to her offer and she continued, “I’ll give you the map to where I keep all the Tiamat’s more valuable treasures, they’re scattered around the globe, it was a sort of safe keeping on my mother and my part. They are more valuable than anything Kale will be willing to offer you. I’ll give you this map right now if you lay down your weapons.” She took out the map from a tiny satchel that was on her thigh, and opened it to show several red x marks. The men again whispered amongst themselves and one stood out, “How can we be so sure that this map is legitimate? You are known for your conniving ways ‘oh fair pirate queen’.” Before she could even answer, Cole came bursting in.

Sword pointed directly at him, he tried to assest the situation. There was the crown prince of Kale and his bride off in one corner of the room, a man was on the floor whimpering in pain while holding onto his leg, his captain, who was holding up a map that she should have not been showing off so freely, was surrounded by a bunch of crewmen of the Saint Anna and some new recruits. He could see Freya give a wide grin and ask him kindly, “Aaah, first mate Cole, pleasure of you to join us. Now could you enlighten these fellows as to what I have holding in my hands?” He sighed inwardly before replying, “That milady is something you should not be showing them.” He could see the men around watching him intensely, their sword pinned on him as well as the captain. All the while he was thinking of how she had gotten herself in this situation. Freya had frowned and he could see that she needed the truth out of him from the slight pleading in her eyes. ‘Damn her eyes’ he cursed inwardly before continuing on, “But if you insist to tell them on the actual identity of that map it be the map to every location of where we keep all the treasures. There is only one map and it always hide on your person at all times for safe keeping so I don’t see why you are sho-.” Cole wasn’t able to complete his sentence for Freya took the spot. “See? Do you need any more proof than that? Don’t be fools and let this opportunity slip away.” She dangled the map in front of their eyes, and was quickly snatched away, and the band of misfits pushed pasted Cole and the others that followed behind him. Cole went directly up to the Captain, “You didn’t give them permission did you?” Freya simple shook her head. “And so you just sent them to a watery grave, didn’t you?” With a smirk on her face she bowed her head slightly, before turning her attention away from him. She went to the boy that was still laying on the floor.

“It’s alright laddy, you can get up now.” She said gentle patting him on the back and directing him towards his brother. As the boy ran to his brother, her eyes held Edward’s eyes. With her hand she signaled Cole to tell the rest of the people to come into the room. As she had order they weren't being treated as captives and were simply lead inside the room.
