I think when it comes to valuing you art, until you have a following always pitich the lower end. Entice people with affordability for quality, and then once you have a few happy customers, build upon that :)

yeah, its difficult to stay active here when you are the only one. i agree. i try to stop in a few times a day, but i cant sit on mene for hours like i used to. i just have too much to do in a day...

well the good thing about mene is that it is always here and there is always someone willing to listen and relate to you

money is always the issue, i'm working towards being self employed, being my own boss would just be wonderful.

I havent been working since May because of being pregnant and not being able to find a job after moving. I miss working. If I still had my laptop and graphics tablet I would try doing some free lance work. Being your own boss is kind of nice at times.

I can imagine ^^;. Which is about all I can do, until I've got something set up and I'm able to do my own thing full-time XP

that sounds nice. i hope to one day be able to switch my income to being home based... its a difficult journey. im doing pretty well this month... but its coming on after a very large dry spell.... so yeah... not reliable enough for me to trust fully yet

i want to mostly to save on commuting and also because it means i am my own boss and i would be doing the most fulfilling thing imaginable, living off my own art. which is a dream that i thin all artists have and few get to live out.

agreed. but hey, we all have a dream that we are working towards everyday. and as long as we keep trying and keep believing, i think its a good thing. even if we never get there, you know?

fair enough. i am lucky i found a place that doesnt kill me to work for them. it allows me to stay motivated and not depressed.

yup ive got to get there too, where I work is crippling me day by day, managar is insane and has created the most toxic working environment.

Made even better by the lovely "solution" to not having enough hooks to hang coats up; don't wear a coat to work. That works in the summer, just not in the winter...at least not here.
