My favorite book at the moment was "Go Ask Alice". I thought it was a little un-realistic how the parents were reacting to what the daughter was doing, but, I really enjoyed the book. :D

My favorite books are the Artemis Fowl series, ASOUE, anything by Terry Pratchett, Animal Farm, and Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.

I like mysteries in general, however.

And books in general, as well. XD

My favourite book would have to be Lolita. It's beautiful and depressing at the same time and I really have to admire Nabokov's skill that he took such an ugly subject and made such a gorgeous work from it. My favourite book series would have to be Mary Stewart's Arthurian books, The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, The Last Enchantment, and The Wicked Day. They follow from Merlin's childhood to Arthur's death.

I also adore the Harry Potter series and am quite active in the fandom.

my favorite books would have to be:

The Vampire Chronicles
by Anne Rice
(Interview With The Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, Queen Of The Damned)

Everything's Eventual
Four Past Midnight
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan

by Stephen King

Blood & Chocolate
by Annette Curtis Klause

The Resident Evil Novel Series
by S.D. Perry

plus, I read a lot of manga, although I don't think those count as much. there was also a book called The Crystal Garden I remember reading when I was 10, but I don't remember the author.

I think you're talking about the book Fever 1793, by Laurie Halse Anderson. You probably don't remember the title, but 1897 is way too late, especially it's past the Civil War period already. Anyways, it is a really good book, and though it's great for all ages, the way that's it's written is directed toward a younder audience.

My friend's reading it right now, as part of her summer reading books, though I keep telling her it's way below her reading level. She really is too lazy. XP

I love love love the Outlands trilogy by Jackie French. They're brilliantly written and she creates a whole new world that's absolutely amazing. I'm also a Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings nerd.

But for serious, read the Jackie French books. They're below my reading level now, but I'd probably rate them at 14-17 year old average.

My current favourite book series is Redwall by Brian Jacques.
It has such a huge collection that I was busy for the past year reading up on them. Every book is filled with imagination and a dizzying array of brilliant characters. There's always a struggle of good and evil and good always shines through. It's so fantastic!

The Symphony of Ages series of Elizabeth Haydon is my all time favorite fantasy series. I'm in love with MOST of the characters and it always holds my interest.

I also love the Quinn Brothers Trilogy by Nora Roberts which is romance novels (aka brainless reading) but for some reason I really like them.

And finally I love It Had to be You, This Heart of Mine, and Match me if You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips cause they all rock.

Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs
the perks of being a wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
The Every Boy by Dana Adam Shapiro

And best for last:
Harold and the Purple Crayon, which I gave away to my friend as a parting gift.

I think I have more favorite books but I read too much so I can't be sure.
