"Profile found here"

Get out of my way. Leave me alone! The thoughts had run through his mind time after time, and yet few times he said the words out loud. Walking down the street, he was forced to pull the collar of the coat he wore up farther. Dammit, why couldn't that doctor have let him wait till night to go out. He hated walking around in the daylight. It meant he had to cover up, and by cover up, it usually meant: pants, a coat with a high collar, gloves and glasses. He looked like he was permanently ready for winter. No wonder most thought he was a shady character, giving him glances and whispers.

Truth was, he was hiding something yes, but probably not something anyone would guess. He did not know his own name, he had never been told by the people who stole him away from his life. The people who had erased who he was, and made him this way. Unit number "6492", codenamed....Lexis. He sighed, he...was a cyborg. He was not human anymore, not fully at least. The only human parts of him was of his torso and his head. His arms and legs were completely cybertronic, specially designed and produced for him. His upper body, sliding up to his neck was covered in a layer of armor, protecting him. Trouble was, dumbasses decided to make the cybertronics used to build him black.

So his arms, legs, torso and up his neck were permanently black in color. The only actual skin color he had, was on his face. It was a fair color, not to tan, not to pale. He had deep golden blonde hair, which worked for him well. His eyes always covered, for they would have drawn a lot of attention themselves. Where most humans had white in their eyes, his was black like his cybernetics. His iris, were a golden color, similar to his hair. Cold facts were, if he was to lose his guise, he would immediately be noticed. Being noticed was bad, very bad for him. Lexis and the man he called doctor Devlin, were on the run. On the run for awhile now, from the people who had done this to him.

His hands clenched, as well as his jaw. "Genesis" he said coldly under his breath. They did this, they ripped peoples lives apart, they turned him into a monster. He would have loved to find them, to find them and destroy them. He sighed, closing his eyes to try and calm down. He allowed information to flood his senses as he got his bearings, his eyes open a bit to take in the surrounding area. He took in every sound, every sight, every smell, his brain working on overdrive to run through all of it. A dog barking blocks away. A man speaking to a clerk about buying his lady friend a ring. Ugh, pointless information about oblivious lives. This was beyond boring, he needed some action.

Name: Jun

Age: 25

Race: Japanese

Sex: Male

Background: Jun was raised by a single militaristic father who believed that in order to be the best, one had to prove it. Adair was constantly put through different trials, learning to shed emotion in order to do what was needed. Several years were spent on his physique, his mental state, and his ability to handle guns. It was a harsh life, but Jun was grateful for it. The rough years his father put him through allowed him to become a bounty hunter of sorts-he is able to hunt down anyone with a bounty on their head, and he is able to do it without letting anything get in the way.

His mother had very little to do with his upbringing, when she was allowed to do anything. It was Jun's mother that gave him the intelligence he has today; teaching him how to read and write, as well as educate him on the state of the world. However, being that she was an alcoholic, Jun never cared for her, even less so than his father. Eventually, she wound up walking out on the family, unable to handle the dynamic that had been established. Jun was not sorry to see her go, and in fact, it allowed him more time to train with his father. He'd learned enough to get by on his own, and to teach himself more, if needed.

When Jun's father ended up dying due to a heart attack, Jun showed up to collect what he needed (money, guns, etc), shoving aside his feelings for the man; it's what his father would have wanted, after all. Showing emotion was a weakness, and it wasn't as if Jun cared much for the man anyway outside of being grateful for the training. He was a man and could rely on himself; another lesson his father had taught him. Jun didn't even bother going to the funeral, as he had other opportunities lined up, and he'd been raised to put business over material attachments.

Personality: Jun is a cold and focused man. He knows how to do what it takes to get the job done, no matter what the job is. He only carries a backpack and a couple of weapons on him as he travels, only keeping basic necessities with him, such as money and clothes, along with his weapons. Anything else is a material item, and Jun has no interest in carrying anything that would hinder his job potential.

When he's not chasing after a bounty, he's excersizing to keep in shape or hanging out at shooting ranges, in order to keep his skills sharp. He never lets hisself slip up, because one slip up could potentially mean the bounty gets away, and he'll lose out on money. Jun needs to be the best, and he can't afford to let himself down.

Jun studied the information he'd been given. There really wasn't much to go off of, other than a picture and the most basic of information about this bounty. There was other information written down, but it was useless. Jun didn't care much for the personality, the background, or anything about the bounty-just the picture was enough for him, really. He could use the mental image to track down the cyborg, as the bounty apparently was, and bring him back. If the cyborg could even be called a 'him'. Jun wasn't entirely familiar with fantastical creatures, nor did he care about learning. If it interfered with his job, it wasn't necessary.

He could easily walk and study at the same time, if he glanced up every few seconds to scan the crowd and watch out to avoid bumping into someone else. So far, he saw no face that matched the picture, but Jun wasn't entirely in a hurry; he'd been given no time limit for this bounty, which meant he could sit back and give himself some more time to hunt at his leisure. It would make the chase more fun in the end.

However, each time Jun thought he recognized a face, he would look away when he realized he was mistaken. This went on for at least an hour, and finally he rounded a corner, finding himself on a quieter street. There were still a few people milling about, which allowed Jun to quickly rake his eyes across their features as he walked.

Jun thought he recognized a familiar face, but he wasn't sure. The figure in the picture looked similar, but a lot of men had smaller frames, so it wasn't entirely out of the question that Jun would have mistaken identity. Still, he had his suspicions, so he walked by the youth again, this time giving him a longer glance, frowning down at the picture at the same time. Was this kid his bounty?

Lexis had been focused on the scene around him, so he noticed when the man passed by him a second time. He frowned, there was deffinetly something up with that. He watched him from behind his dark glasses, keeping the other in sight as he moved past. He wondered if this man could possibly be purposfully looking for him. The way his eyes moved over him made it feel as such. His body tensed a bit under the clothing he wore. Both mechanical and not, his senses even more on alert.

He had to test it, to see if this man was following him. He could not be to careless though, for if he was wrong and the man wasn't, creating a scene could cause a problem. He turned aside from the other, and moved along down the street. He slipped his hands into his pockets, trying to keep his body casual. He did not want to come off to tense either, it would be better for him to let the guy think he had the upper hand if in fact he was after him. For that way, if he attacked, the other would not be expecting him to give an attack back.

He glanced around, at the same time he was looking at all of the potential escape routes and places to take this if things began to get ugly. He takes a breath, letting the air fill his lungs, letting it out a moment later. He could hear the various footsteps around him, the sounds as well. He tried to focus, trying to pick up a key sound of the other. He needed to see if he was following him or not. This would be the moment of truth in a sense, if the other continued to follow him, then he would know that he was up to something more than it seemed to be a tuorist.

He had to be careful though still, the doctor would freak if he started a fight out here in the open. So many people could potentially get hurt. He would be exposing himself, which meant they would witness what he was. That would be something Genisis would want to avoid and have to deal with. He would be giving himself away to them as well, which would mean the doctor and he would have to leave this place. He would get a huge lecture after that. There were few places they could go to since escaping, especially with him looking like this.

He frowned, glancing in a window as he passed to catch a glimpse behind him. His eyes magnified the image, taking in every detail and enhancing it beyond normal human capability.

Jun paused briefly, sensing that the kid he was trying to study was watching him. He didn't care if he looked obvious in his scrutiny-Jun wasn't the one in hiding, after all. The clothing and the sunglasses were suspicious, but it wasn't enough proof for Jun. If he continued to keep an eye on this boy, Jun would figure it out soon enough. He was almost sure, but not quite enough to make a grab for him. He'd have to trail the boy for a little while yet.

When the boy started walking away, Jun busied himself by putting the files on his bounty back into his backpack, though watching the boy out of the corner of his eye. After waiting long enough, he started walking at a leisurely pace, slow enough to seem casual, quick enough to keep within line of sight. Jun kept his arms down by his sides as he walked, trying to keep his pace and stance as casual as possible, but his gaze was zeroed in on his target.

He was watching carefully for anything that stood out to him, anything that came across as paranoia, or something. Jun wasn't entirely sure what exactly he was looking for yet, but he knew the kid was watching Jun too. The thought gave him a little bit of pleasure. If it was just some random punk, he'd probably have asked Jun what the hell he was doing already, but since the kid hadn't said a thing to Jun, just walked away, was starting to confirm his suspicions.

He picked up the pace just slightly. if this was his prey, then it was going to be a fun chase.

Lexis pondered for a moment the other might not follow, but then there he was heading in the same direction. It could have been coincidence, but most things in Lexis’ life seemed not to be. He frowned once more, well deeper than before. His pace remaining steady and casual for the most part as well. He finally managed to zero in on the sound of the other’s foot falls, his eyes catching glimpses of him in the windows and reflective surfaces that he passed. Another lap dog of Genesis? He clenched his hands in his pockets, this little dog was going to get himself put down in that case. Though he could not be sure exactly. Most of those in Genesis were prone to wearing suits and sunglasses. They looked like the CIA or the Men in Black from one of those movies the doc had showed him. This guy looked younger to than, not as stuffy as them, but still like he was in a foul mood.

Then again, Lexis was one to talk, with his permanent sour disposition. He shook his head a bit, turning down a side street. Time to make this a little fun. If the other was after him, they both probably knew it by now. Inside his mind, his cybernetics were already beginning to work. A map was pulled up, letting him see the city. It was hard to explain his cybernetics to some people, it was like he was looking at two things clearly at once. He could fully see the map, but at the same time, he could clearly still see where he was walking and what was around him as well. He zeroed in on an empty construction lot that had been shut down. He had passed it awhile back, there was a concrete wall surrounding it. Perfect place to have a little chat with this guy. He was probably expecting a robot man, at least that much Genesis would have had to give him. But the full extent of him and his experiments was classified, they would not let some delivery boy know everything. If they did, they would probably end up killing him, or maybe that was what they were planning to do anyways.

He was sure the other had to have been promised something, why else do this? Unless he was one of those sick bastards who did this kind of thing for fun. It would not be too far of a leap from there to see Genesis double crossing him, getting rid of someone who knew what they did not need to. This man was playing with fire. He saw it, across the street, casually walking over and pushing open the gate. He left it ajar, knowing the other would not be far behind. A kind of invitation if he preferred to think. Walking far enough in, Lexis turned to face the gate once more. He waited, if the other chose to try and get a drop on him that was fine. He was built for combat, built for destruction. Fighting a human was child’s play to him. This man would have to be good or have a trick up his sleeve to stand a chance.

Jun focused on the walking pattern of the boy in front of him. There was no change in pace or the way he walked, but Jun was almost certain now that the boy was watching him. However, he had the feeling now that they were playing cat and mouse, and Jun was more than happy to play. It confirmed his suspicions too: this was definitely the bounty. Well, this made Jun very happy. Well, happy in the sense that he didn't have to spend a lot of useless time hunting around for his prey. Now came the fun part: trying to actually catch this guy. With the target within sight, Jun could easily keep an eye on him, maybe let him think that he wasn't being watched at all times, if that was possible. Jun was only human; only able to go with his basic senses. A cyborg was likely to have more than just the five senses, and would probably be a step ahead at all times. Jun would have to play his cards carefully.

He noticed a change in direction. Oh, good, something other than just aimlessly walking down the street was in store. Jun dropped his casual stance, rolling his shoulders back and narrowing his eyes. He wasn't going to let the bounty get away, and Jun was determined to keep him right there; if he had to move faster, then so be it. The direction change led him to a gate, and for a brief moment, Jun hesitated. Determination had him moving through the gate though, pulling out his gun at the same time, clutching it close to him, bracing himself for an attack.

He saw the bounty standing there, as if waiting for Jun. He stared, keeping his face blank. The only movement Jun made then was to point the gun at the bounty. "I know it's you," he said, voice low. "The clothes and sunglasses won't throw me off." He didn't dare try to attack, retreat, or move at all. He could stand still and wait for the other to make the first move. "So now what?" He continued. "I assume you're smart enough to not get yourself caught like a pathetic weakling."

The other followed just like Lexis had planned for him to. As he entered, Lexis took a moment to get a good look at him. The other was not bad looking, but he was not here to admire a pretty boy. He would not be very pretty for much longer. The other then began speaking, telling him that he knew who he was. Lexis raised an eyebrow at the sunglasses and clothing remark. The gun pointed at him, then the other asking what was next. Giving a slightly bored yawn, Lexis reached a hand up to the sunglasses. “Congrats, you can spot someone trying to cover up….you and just about everyone else” he said calmly. He slid off his glasses, revealing his eyes. Black where it should have been white, and his iris’ were a deep golden color. He also slipped back his hood, letting his golden hair be exposed as well.

He was a bit less worried about hiding here now that they were alone. As he fixed the other in his intense gaze, he was also scanning him. Every detail, height, hair, eye and more. He was also running him through various databases, searching for a name to go with the face. The other would not know or see this, the details locked inside of Lexis’ head. He finally addressed the question the other had brought up. What now? He lowered his gaze to the gun for a moment. “You can either decide to engage me, or walk away now” he answered, “the smart thing would be to walk away now…but something tells me you’re the stupid kind of guy.” Scanning the weapon, he could not help but chuckle a bit, “if that is what you plan on bringing me down with, you have already lost.” A simple gun, his body was protected against such weapons. His mechanical arms and legs were unable to be harmed, even the joints were protected.

The armor on his torso and neck would keep bullets from piercing his skin, they wouldn’t be more than mere annoyances. The only shot to take with a gun would be a head shot…and since Genesis desired him alive, the other would not be able to take such a shot. It was possible that the bullets had been modified. Certain Genesis members had bullets that were designed with a trigger that sent off an electric signal or pulse upon impact. Those could harm him or disorient him a bit if they landed close, the damage depended on how strong they were and such. Though from the look, it was only a normal gun right now, so he had little to worry about.

The disdainful attitude the bounty was giving him served to irritate Jun, but only slightly. He kept his body as still as possible, only eyes moving to follow the movements. The bounty removed his sunglasses, and admittedly, the strange eye color cause Jun to blink. It was different, and it almost was horrifying. He couldn't linger on that; emotion was useless and if he showed any at all, he would most definitely lose, and that wasn't an option. The hair at least was a little less strange, but Jun no longer cared about the boy's looks. "The frame of your body was obvious," he said, keeping his voice clipped. "It wasn't until I started following you when I was certain it was you."

There was a pause, and Jun wasn't sure what was going on. He couldn't tell what the bounty was thinking, or even doing. Surely a cyborg would be able to have access to the Internet as a whole? Jun could only guess, but he wasn't sure what was going on inside the cyborg's mind. The concept was confusing, and so, Jun pushed it out of his mind. He was busy wracking his own mind, trying to come up with something to say or even do, when the cyborg again spoke. "I will not do either," he responded, "I'm merely studying you for now. I'll not let you leave either." He quirked an eyebrow. "Insults are petty," he added.

He eyed the body, wondering how much damage his gun would do. He had known going in that he couldn't hurt the boy much, but Jun could surely cause some sort of damage to the exterior, right? The 'maybe' was too risky. With a light sigh, he slung the gun on his back again. I'm unarmed," he spoke. "Don't think for a second that I can't handle myself. You're different; a new target. But I'm sure I've got the strength to try something if you attempt to attack me."

He watched the other, the way he continued to watch him. He was attempting to size him up as well. He watches him more, as he spoke. He said nothing to his words, he couldn't have cared less what the other had to say really. When he placed his gun away and spoke about being unarmed, Lexis still did not move. He said he would have the strength to do something if Lexis made a move to attack. He had no intrest in getting close to the man at the moment, so he remained where he was. "So you're here to take me back to them...then what? You really think their going to give you what you want and let you walk out with your life?" he raised an eyebrow.

"They will kill you the second you hand me over" he says, "so it is in our best intrest, that you fail this little mission of yours." He crossed his arms, the jacket still making it harder to move, but he did not give that personal feeling away to the other. If he did choose to attack, Lexis would be at a slight mobil disadvantage, unless he chose to take off the coat. He was being honest from what he had learned, but the other could take the words as he would. But then again, he doubted he would be so easy to sway. The man looked stubborn, stuck in his ways at first glance. He narrowed his own eyes a bit, looking at him. "If you plan to do something then do it, or quit wasting my time" he says again, the other had said he would not let him leave, so what did he plan to do...bore him to death?

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. This was a major waste of time, they needed to get this over with. The doc would be expecting him back soon. If he did not return, the other would believe something had happened, which it had. He wondered if this man's mission involved the doc to. Since he had not spoken of him, he doubted it. Lexis was their first priority in the long run, so here the man was like others before him. Like others before him to, he would fail.

This staring contest was getting boring, and Jun wanted to do something. He wasn't sure he had the upper hand in the situation, and really, he was trying to figure the bounty out. Jun had been told that this boy was dangerous and could not go free, as he was a threat to everyone's safety. But really, it almost seemed as if he was just trying to survive. Jun shook those thoughts aside. He had a job to do, and emotions were starting to get in the way. He wasn't sure why this particular bounty was having such an effect on him, but Jun didn't like it.

"You think they'll kill me?" He asked, frowning. Honestly, Jun hadn't considered that option. It wasn't an outcome he liked at all, and it did give him pause-as if walking away really was the best option. But, if he was to be killed for carrying out his orders, then surely he'd also be killed for letting the cyborg walk away. Jun pinched the bridge of his nose. Everything was already so complicated, and he hadn't even done anything. "I suppose I'm stuck then," he said, looking up at the cyborg once again. "Damned if I do, damned if I don't."

"This is why emotions are meaningless," he muttered, more to himself than to the bounty. "They complicate everything. I can't bring you in willingly, yet I can't let you walk away. So now I'm asking this honestly, what now? I'm sure you could put that cybernetic brain of yours to good use." His voice was sarcastic now, as Jun was frustrated. He had no idea that he'd gotten himself into such a complicated situation. His life took priority over the bounty's, and it was at stake either way.

He looked at the other, as he seemed to hesitate for a moment. Not long after though, he was speaking once more. Did he think they would kill him? Yes. Simple as that, they would rid themselves of him without a second thought. Lexis had seen it done before, to innocent people who got in the way, or saw something they were not supposed to. He kept his eyes on this guy as he continued to seemingly wage a bit of war within himself. He raised an eyebrow. Emotions? Damn right they were meaningless, but this guy still seemed to be having them.

Lexis learned himself to squash all hopes of emotion. Partially once could say it was in his programing, but it had also become a part of him through life. Being asked what now, the other was then seeming to poke a bit of fun at him. That...was something he did not like. "Then I will end this now.." he raised a hand at the man, caring little at the moment. A golden glow began to form around his hand, generated by his cybernetics giving off energy and such. It was a big technical process that one could go mad trying to understand, but the basics were his cybernetics gave him the ability to manipulate energy.

Right now he was generating said energy from his hand, aiming precisely before the man, though it may look more like he was aiming at him instead. Careful calculations, before releasing the blast like one might fire a bullet from a gun. It struck the ground, sendidng dirt, dust and rocks flying into the air like a wall. The momentary block of view gave Lexis all the time he needed. It would attract attention soon. He turned, easily covering the distance between them and the wall in little time. He jumpped, placing his hand on the top, before literally launching himself over.

Space between them now, he moved on. He tossed the glasses aside, he needed to greaten this distance. He needed to get away from him, and lose him. Should not be to hard, it might be fun. Lexis had the advantage, and if the other decided to play rough, then so be it. People were already looking, some watching him. He no longer cared. Blending in was not going to be an easy option now, but drawing to much attention would put these people's lives at stake. Better to move on fast, and that was just what he planned to do.

His cybernetics allowed him to keep a fast pace, some would have to run to keep up with, without breaking a sweat or breathing hard. There were some perks of this metal body thing after all...but it was still a major pain in the ass to. He took a hard right, pulling off the coat. He tossed it into a trash, before slipping into an ally where he snagged a black hoodie off of a clothe's line. Good enough for now, he slipped it on and walked out the other side.

The cyborg was going to end it now? Jun didn't find that so hard to believe, considering what he did next. The hand raised had Jun curious as to what was going to happen next, and luckily, he didn't have to wait long to find out the answer. How this 'glow' was happening, Jun didn't know, nor did he even want to know. It was outside of his realm of understanding, though he recognized it as a threat and backed up. Perhaps he'd bitten off more than he could chew with this bounty, and there was no way out without risk to his life.

When the blast released, Jun barely had time to react, assuming that he was the being targeted, rather than the ground. He hit the ground as soon as everything else shot up, curling into a ball to protect himself from the falling rocks. The distraction may have briefly knocked him out, he wasn't entirely sure, but when the dust settled (literally) he looked up. The cyborg was gone, probably using his attack to escape.

Cursing, Jun got to his feet and brushed the dirt off his clothes. He had been so good for several years, keeping himself in check, only doing and feeling what was needed to get the job done. Now he was turning into a scared coward because he was facing a cyborg. Nothing he did was working to calm himself down, and he started off in the direction he was sure the bounty had gone, anger replacing the neutral expression.

Oh yes, Jun was pissed now. He had no idea where the cyborg had gone, but Jun was going to find him, and this time, he was going to attack on sight, with his bare hands if he had to. He paused long enough to pull out the files again, this time actually scanning them for more information. Something something about cybernetic abilities; none of it made sense to Jun. But at least he had a better idea of what he was up against now, this information could possibily be useful.

He started off down the street, clutching the files in his hand as he looked around. Up ahead, a great distance already, was the cyborg. Jun broke into a run, determined to not lose sight of him. He'd have to sprint to catch up, but the cyborg was definitely faster. But then again, this could be fun too.

Let the games begin.

He moved along, making his way along and down various streets. People around glanced as he passed still, some blinking dumbfounded as he passed. He gave no one a glance, yet his eyes still caught it all. That was how they were programmed, to take in every bit of information and data they could, to analyze and remember it. Right now he did not care about anything around him. Point was that he kept moving. It would take longer for him to get worn out, but the other following him would have to give out sooner being only human.

He clenched his jaw, this was the doctor’s idea, not his. He would have preferred to stand and fight, to make the other give up, so he would never come back. But the doctor had warned him many times of the dangers attention and fighting would lead to. He probably looked like a coward. A cyborg built for the sole purpose of being a weapon that could take out armies on his own, and he was avoiding a fight with a single human. He clenched his jaw tighter, not realizing he had also been biting his lower lip. The taste of blood entered his mouth.

He ran his tongue over the small wound and sighed. Letting his anger get the best of him, would get him nowhere. It was such things that often got him into trouble, which was why the other had been right in saying feelings were pointless and only a hindrance. He moved down an ally and stopped, pressing his back against the stone of the wall to the building behind him. If the other was following, he did not seem like the type to give up so easily. Even if he lost him, he seemed to be one who would keep looking for him.

He could not very well go back to where the doc and he had been staying then. But he could not stay out in the open like this either. He needed a plan besides leading the other to run around blindly like a rat in a maze. He spotted a manhole cover and sighed, well…that was not an option. Gunking up his cybernetics and smelling like a sewer for a week was not going to happen. He sighed, and looked up at the sky above him. He saw a fire escape and smiled. Moving over, he easily and quickly climbed it to the roof.
