Lumen sighed as he sat in his rather large entertainment room scowering the web for anything enteresting, it was so boring being a noble sometimes... he was never aloud to be completely alone which made him very uncomfortable and unable to do what he wanted... he couldn't leave the house without at least three dumb oafs with him and even when he was in the house there was a robot that fallowed him which was normally out of sight and yet he still knew about it. His father was one of the most regarded men in the world... one of the best tecnomancers in the world... but Lumen had no interest in it at all... ever since his mother had been turned into a robotic human he stopped caring... it wasn't his mother anymore... it was a THING it was one of THEM now... and it acted nothing like his mother used to. He huffed as he stood and looked around a bit before managing to sneak outside and into the only living gardens in the city... he had planted it himself with his mothers help and that's where her actual body had been placed... he refused to let anyone touch her body... once she had been killed that was it he didn't want anyone to try and defile her anymore. He sighed heavily as he sat under the tree his mother was berried beneath and stared up at the sky that had some type of shield that you could see around the entire garden... well city really.

(1 hour earlier)

Jack disabled the alarm system on the shield protecting the city, but keeping the lights up. He needed to make sure it was still visible but unaffective for keeping him locked out of the city. His target was there, and he needed to set things up, starting with the shield, then sending his men down to the gardens where they hid carefully, jack going with them. He knew this boy's history, about how his mother died and he felt so alone, the spoiled rich kid thing. He could just deal with the computing mother he had but no, he had to have everything, but now , they would have him and a large lump sum of money with him.

Seeing the boy walk into the stap, jack snuck up behind him, putting a rage with chloroform over his nose and holding it there, waiting for him to pass out. His little guard had already been dealt with, and so had any other complications in the area. Right now, jack had this boy.all that was needed was a few more seconds before he'd pass out.

Lumen was calm even as the clothe came over his mouth and nose and he got a small chance to look over at the male who was holding it to his face before he passed out... yet he didn't seem scared or anything. His little pet was tucked away in his jacket and stayed quiet not wanting to be taken away from him. He had known this would happen at some point and didn't care... anything was better then being stuck here where the one person who had ever loved you was no longer there... his father really didn't care for him and none of the guards really cared either... only his mother had and she was gone now. His head bobbed a bit as he passed out and he slumped some but didn't really fall over or anything.

The other pirates came over, searching the boy and tossing or breaking any technology or weapons on him, taking him up into the air ship. They tossed him into a cell that had nothing but a bed and a dresser with a few clothes as well as a small bathroom area, and then flew away from the city, turning the shield back on when they were a safe distance away.

Lumen groaned a bit as he was thrown into the cell and after a little while awoke and sat up rubbing his head some. "Hey... Tamashi bud are you okay?" he asked softly as the little pall of light appeared then turned into his long tailed little winged friend. "Ah good. Well we knew this was coming didn't we bud? ow well maybe this'll be interesting who knows." he said softly as he took his little spirit pet into his hands and smiled as he stroked his wings softly. He didn't seem scared or upset or anything... he actually seemed okay with being captured... and almost happy to be away from his home.

The pirate left him there for a day or so, not bothering to bring food or drink. He was simply a ransom, and they wanted to make that clear. He wouldn't be staying with them for very long. They would either get the ransom or let him starve, and that was about the way things were going at the moment. And Jack stood outside the room, staring through a window above the boy that looked like a normal ceiling inside the room. Jack had a thing for beautiful rich boys, and he didn't mind looking at this one. In fact, the boy was quite easy on the eyes. BNut he didn't stare for too long, he had calls to make plans to follow through with. It was all in good time though. He wanted to make sure the boy knew that the pirates were not going to be a nice little bunch to him, so he sent someone down there to give him nothing but a peice of stale bread to eat, then had them leave the boy without a word.

Lumen looked over when a plate was placed in the room and gave a slight smile. He didn't really care... he had went days without eating before and there was a sink in the cell so it wasn't like he was going without water. He walked over and picked up the plate looking down at the piece of bread that was slightly stale and grinned, apparently they knew nothing about her... or at least not much. All he had to do was wave his hand over the bread and pulled out all the mold tossing it to his pet which it just dissipated into. "Heh, you're so weird you know that right bud? I don't think many pets actually like mold like you do." he laughed a little before eating the now almost fresh looking piece of bread. "Not bad, it's a little lonely in here but at least it's better then being yelled at all the time right Tamashi?" he said smiling some as he pet the little creature and watched as he turned into a small white phoenix and flew around for a second before settling into Lumen's lap and they both relaxed.

The pirates went about their daily business, hoping that they would get their ransom but nothing came, and eventually jack gave up and sighed, going down to the cell and opening the door, his carved torso exposed, as well as the scar going across there. "get up you pig headed dim wit." he commanded, his voice rough and deep, but not unappealingly so. "no news of a ransom has come so you're gonna be put to work. By e time I'm done with you, youre going to be begging to go back home." he said, tossing him a scrubbing brush and setting down a bucket of water. "scrub the decks. I want them sparkling." he said and left the boy to do as he was commanded.

"heh if there's one thing you'll never hear from me is begging so don't count on it." Lumen said before taking the bucket and went to do as he was ordered with no issues... hey it was better then laying there being bored. Tamashi fallowed him around in his normal little sprite-like form as he cleaned. It didn't really take him that long before all of the floors were as clean as can be and he stretched a bit looking around a bit. "That wasn't so bad was it bud? I know you enjoyed it." he smiled a bit since Tamashi kept eating some of the mold that he found. "You're such a weird little guy you know that." he laughed some petting the little ball of white.
