Overcooked veggies are so gross, too. My mom used to boil the heck out of broccoli 'til it turned into this bitter, mushy paste. *shudders* I barely steam mine -- tastes 100% better, at least.

They're cooked till they're gross. Or until they'll give you food poisoning, in the case of high school food.

oh man, my mom did that with steaks when we were growing up. it was WELL done and so hard to choke down. i didn't know you could eat it any other way until i went to a restaurant and now i love my meat medium rare like buttAH!

Comments: spaghetti! angel hair noodles, ground beef with a special mix of sauces and vegetables i'll give you a little tidbit though, a can of tomato paste in the sauce makes it stick to the noddles real good like that. yay for mama's secret sauces!
