Just make sure you guys/gals are careful, as there was no email notifications with this hack, so I believe that they hacked steam to get into my account. I simply got an email stating my information was changed, instead of "there is a request for information change" like when I make changes.

Maybe I should check my emails if i got a notification like that. o.o

Odds of being the next target is one by one, but I noticed that they were adding someone else, likely hacking another account as they went probably. But whoever it was left me their IP Address, so if steam is willing to take action, they can be shut down.

Hopefully they'll catch that mofo.

Poet, I recommend you put on two-step authentication(Steam Guard) on your Steam account. It'll stop any intrusions because it requires a code for any new or unknown addresses logging on which you can get either emailed to you or texted to you.

Go to Settings, you'll be on your Account tab, go to Manage Steam Guard Account Security and either choose the highest by mobile authentication via the Steam app or the second level for email authentication. Either or will do and you'll get notified of unauthorized attempts against your account.

Ah yeah that's enabled. But it was strange, as before it required an email confirmation for any changes, and that change was not required for them. They were able to bypass that.

I'm lamenting the fact that I couldn't take advantage of the summer sale, as at least half of my wish list was on sale. Stupid rent.

What kind of games were you wanting to get?

I just got two great games during the summer sale, Democracy 3 and This War of Mine; and they are my addictions hehe.

Although I much say that the summer sale really sucked this year, no flash sales or anything. I liked it better when they did flash sales. Also I'm really pissed off about Steams stupid new policy on selling trading cards. Like you HAVE TO HAVE there stupid broken mobile app and give them your information just os you don't have to wait 15 days for your cards to go in the sale. Steam does the worst things sometimes, I really wish they would go back to the way things were before.
