When Reino had given her a teasing glare right back Shadow couldn't help but break out a small smile. She was starting to like this side of him. Her assessment had been right, deep down there was much more than his harsh exterior. Shadow couldn't wait to find out more.

After reading the first thing he wrote her mouth opened slightly in shock. Placing her hands on her hips she shook her head back and forth before laughing, actually laughing. It felt good to finally laugh, she hadn't done that in a very long time. Shadow couldn't actually even remember the last time she laughed. Reading the second part she shook her head once more and waggled her finger at him. No he was definitely not a douchebag.

Shadow was just about to start writing back when an agent walked by with....stag? Cocking her head to the side she raised a brow also then got to work. "I mean...if it has to come down to that..." she stepped away from her board and grinned over at Reino, giving him a playful wink also. She hadn't been in this good of a mood in forever.

No not a douchebag, far from that." Biting her lip Shadow erased what she wrote and continued. "I want to know whatever you want me to know. Just tell me something?" What she wanted to write was for him to tell her about this day. She was dying to know but didn't want to bring up any painful memories. When people asked about her husband she felt like her heart was being ripped out. Though it was much much bearable now. She was finally getting over it, at least getting closer.

Mulling over the idea, Sycom eventually replied in a sarcastic tone, "Gee, I don't know. I'm feeling... Discord." With a wink, he watched as the lad climbed up into his bed. So long as he remained up there, he wouldn't really be a threat. Right? Well, maybe, if he was really lucky. Still, there was no point in showing fear before the inmates as it just made them gobble you up.

"Anyway, I'm here to let you know that you've been reassigned. You're being reassigned to Division 1 under my watch. I've yet to receive my co-pilot, but I'm sure whoever it is will be capable. Your teammates are Vex, Mozilla, and Lolipop. All of you actually have similar backgrounds, that is you murdered those that abused you." Shifting, he moved his hands into his pockets before taking a seat in one of the chairs in Discord's room. "With the increase in paranormal and otherworldly sightings, Daliah decided it was time to form two teams of six to investigate everything, which is where you and I come in." Smiling up at Discord, he cocked his head playfully to the side. He had explained the situation and now it was time to ask his opinion. "The meeting is at 9AM tomorrow. Do you have any questions for me?"

Behind his sunglasses, he analyzed Discord. He wasn't overly fond of the blade nearby, but Sycom had his PB on his hip. He would rather not use it, but if push came to shove, he would. Looking at him, Sycom could sense that the male was all for the adventure and the chance to be on the other side of the cell. Would he jeopardize that for mindless killing? Probably not. With that thought tucked away in his mind, he relaxed in the chair some. Dropping his hands between his knees, he shot the guy a genuine smile.

A slight twitch came to his smile at the mentioned of his father. Berserker raising to the surface a bit, but he calmed him down, it would do no good to get angry at the mere mention if his past. The other spoke up, confirming his suspicions. He was indeed there to give them a hint as to a way our of here. He spoke of a reassignment in terms of a team as well. People.....that could either be a good idea...or a very bad one. He sat up, his hand brushing the blade as he did. He glanced down, noticing the wound he had inflicted on his finger earlier. It had begun trying to heal, he watched it for a moment, before turning his attention back to the other.

He noticed thetension within his body first. It was typical of people when they were around him. He was rather unpredictable. He watched as he finished talking, seeming to relax a bitafter a moment. It was probrably safe to bet he had figured Kanra wouldn't make a move to kill him at this time. He was asked in turn if he had any questions. It made little difference if he did or did not, he had little choice...not that that ment he was not interested. He smiled, looking straight into Sycom's eyes behind his glasses. "No point in wasting time with the little details hmm?" He tilted his head slightly to the side, "I have no problem with this...best to get the show going.". Berserker seemed in a sense to agree with him. He was even more active within the other, causing his eyes to lighten a bit, but not fully turn white.

An interesting twist indeed.. his smile turned slightly darker and more serious in nature, though not in a malicious or threatening way. So...he would be joining a team of others like him to save the world. It was almost enough to laugh at, like a knockoff superhero movie, except these heros were not to good at heart.Very well, we will see where this goes for now. That was the best attempt at getting a cooperative nod from Berserker. The other would be good for now, both sides were curious as well as interested in what was being asked of them. He picked up the blade finally, before standing and moving to a desk on the other side of the room. He placed it safely away, to ease the other's mind fully about their intentions. A few bookson top of it, he might have been assome would say insane, but he did enjoy reading. Most were mysteries and a bit of hystery though..most did involve murder ofsome form. Hecould not deny that. Itwas becoming more and more apparent to him by the day. The thought and art of death... he looked to where ascar adorned his hand, both sides carried the same mark. He clenched his hand slightly, before turning to smile at the other once more.

Whelp, that went fast. But who was he to complain? He was going to leave the psycho's room way sooner than he envisioned. It almost made him sad, as he could have conversed with Mozilla a bit longer. Then again, having received the signal to leave meant he could finish up his job. With only one left, Vex, he would be done with his tasks. Bowing slightly to Discord, Sycom made his exit. "See you tomorrow~!" he waved while smiling.

With that, Sycom exited and made his way down the hall toward Vex's cell. She wasn't too far down, which was great for Sycom had his first yawn. Rubbing his eyes, he tried to wake himself up a bit more before wandering into the fox's den. Adjusting his attire and sliding his glasses up on his face, he tapped lightly on her door. Again, he paused for a few moments to give her a chance to get descent. Like all the times before, he phased through the glass and appeared on the other side.

Shuddering as he stepped in the room, his hands moved toward his head. "Tah, tah, tah! I need to leave off the phasing," he whined, "it gives me head ouchies." Shaking off the headache, he finally lifted his eyes to meet those of Vex. "Hello," he purred.

The other had put on a smile...hut the look in his eyes made it more than clear that he was happy to get away like the others. Glasses or not, Kanra did not have to be a genious to know the other thought he was as insane as others did. His hand clenched more, and a pain ran through his heart. Why.....why did he care? Berserker stirred more, a bit angry now at what the other had made him feel. A hand went to his head for a moment. He moved to by the door, flipping the lights off to cast the room into darkness. It seemed he was alone once more, though he would never fully be alone...not with Berserker.

He moved to the bed, laying down and facing the wall. He wasn't tired, but the light just seemed to give them a way to see him, and turning it off helped him to block them and himself out. Ignore that fool.....he and all of them will learn soon enough... Berserker's words usually comforted him, made it seem like things would be alright. But at the moment, even though he smiled, the remnants of the mystery feeling settled within him. He needed to get rid of them soon, feelings were a weakness..letting people who merely thoughtof him as a freak get to him was pointless. He looked at his hand within the darkness. The scar, even if he could not see it as clearly, it was there. It would always be there, a constant reminder. His eyes slipped closed.

(ermergerd, I started a Reino post but I was interrupted and lost it. This is my redo))

The back and forth with this woman was fun and it actually served its purpose, to make him forget. However, that last comment she wrote set him off a bit. He couldn't help but speculate that she was referring to the incident that went down an hour ago. She didn't deserve to know that truth just yet, despite that fact that he teased her with light tidbits here and there. He did say he was a cry baby and that his mother was, rather than is, right.

The friendliness that was once on his washed away and was replaced by that solemn look that Shadow had become all too familiar with. "My mother died a month after I came to work for the SFA," was all he wrote on his board before shooting his gold eyes back into her cell. Watching her every move, he waited for the right time to pounce, so to speak. If she tripped up or said one wrong thing, it would set him off in a frenzy that would have Daliah running back down the hall.

That's when it hit him. He was no better than the real criminals in this place. Growling, he paced back and forth much like a caged tiger who longed for freedom. As he paced, he felt his blood pressure rise and his nose crease more with each passing second. Oh how he hated what he had become. He became the monsters he swore to destroy. The irony, right? Hands in his pockets as deep as they could go, he completely ignored Shadow and everything she tried to do to reclaim his attention. Raged filled eyes eventually caught her frantic gesture, which caused him to look over toward her with a look of complete and utter bemusement. What did she want now? Couldn't she see he was lost in thought? Obviously fuming over his poor life's decision. Gah, he kicked himself for being so stupid. He kicked himself again for letting his anger get the best of him before this woman too.

Returning to his board, he scratched out "Sorry," before shrugging his shoulders. With the beautiful woman having his undivided attention for the second time tonight, he patiently waited her remarks. He could almost feel her disinterest in him at this point. If he were this quick to snap over such a thing, he would surely snap ten-times worse over something far more critical.

Drawing ears atop his head with his hands, he raised his hands up under his chin in the shape of paws. "Meow, meow," he said, "I've been a real bad kitty."

Being escorted was nothing new for the woman as she stepped out of the car. Standing tall with her eyes looking straight ahead. She was dressed in her millitary uniform, as she was literally just done with her graduation. Stepping forward she was greeted by tall build agents, and then she smirked hearing the soft growl of her companion she looked back to the car. "Scar, play nice." she said her Russian accent obvious as she spoke. The metal robot tiger slunk out of the car, and the agents around her seemed a bit shocked. Apparently they didn't believe that she had a tiger running around with her. Petting the metal head of the beast, causing the cat to purr and rubbing his head against her. "Lets go." Veronika said and the tiger growled in approval as they followed the agents inside.

Taking off her hat, the beauty let her pale hair fall around her face and shape it. Looking around with her ice blue eyes she walked with purpose. It hadn't taken her sitting idly by to move up in the ranks so fast, she had taken all the chances she could. Even taken advantage of a few things to get here. Her mind though, was something that was so advanced that many had come to her, but this oppurtunity was the one she truly wanted. Veronkia wanted nothing more then to bring justice to those who caused harm and hatred in the world.

Coming to the door of the director of this facility she waited until it was opened and walked in. Scar hurried in and hissed at the agent that nearly shut the door on him and she turned back and smiled. "Sorry, he doesn't leave my side." she said warmly, and then turned and saluted to the director before returning to a relaxed pose. "Veronika Volkov and Scar. Reporting." she said mildly and then smiled as Scar sat with a light growl. He was definitely her favorite invention thus far. The tiger was also one of the leading inventions in creating human emotions, and knowing wrong from right. He was definitely her pride and joy.

Shadow had watched Reino like a hawk and waited for him to write something. What it was going to be she had no idea. She figured he would write something generic and easy. What she got was totally different.

"My mother died a month after I came to work for the SFA."

Feeling horrible that she asked Shadow looked down at the ground before raising her gaze back to his. She was pondering that information and what to say back when Reino began pacing. His body language screamed of rage, causing her to frown in concern.

Stepping up to her glass door she pounded her fist on it once. It didn't work so she pounded on it again. This wasn't good, the agent's did not like a rise in their threat levels and it seemed like Reino's was going up. Shadow started pounding harder on the glass, trying to capture his attention. Maybe if he looked her way he would snap out of it so she kept pounding.

Finally he looked her way.

Breathing heavily she stepped away from the glass and after taking two deep breaths, calmed her breath to a normal rate. Her yoga helped her control her breathing. She watched him write sorry and then couldn't help the small smile that came across her face when he called himself a bad kitty.

Shadow lost her smile and stepped over to her board. "Don't be sorry. I know it doesn't seem much but I'm sorry about your mother." If anyone could relate, she could. She knew exactly how it felt to loose the one closest to you. "So you use to work for the SFA?" She erased it and continued. "That explains a lot." It was all she wrote for now. Shadow wanted him to lead the conversation to wherever he wanted it to go.

While singing along with the song she walked over to the wall. One by one the woman pulled out the knives. Once finished she walked over to the easel and picked up the one she had dropped. Vex didn’t even hear the knocking. When Sycom entered the room she was spinning a throwing knife in her hand as she sang the chores of the song one last time ‘So what if you can see the darkest side of me? No one will ever change this animal I have become. Help me believe it's not the real me. Somebody help me tame this animal.. The older male caught her off guard when he spoke. The woman just barely caught herself before she ended up throwing the knife in her hand at Sycom. A smile crossed her lips.

“Well hello there handsome,” she replied in a silky voice. Deciding to be kind, since she was in a better mood and she liked Sycom, Vex laid the knives on the desk before turning off the music. “Forgive me dear, I didn’t hear you knock. So what brings you this late?” The woman grinned slightly. “Let me guess, you have come to apologize for all those years ago when you didn’t help me?” Laughing lightly she teased him a bit more. “Or maybe you have come to confess your love.” Her expression turned more serious as she spoke the last part. Oh how she wanted to see the kind of expressions he would show her. The older male was easy to tease. Truthfully he was one of the few agents Vex felt she could really trust in this hell hole.

The new recruit was almost here. That was Daliah's cue to leave her station and greet the new miss at the door. She had two of her guards accompany her, Gunner and Bane the twins. Gunner specialized in weapons while Bane was excellent with her poker face and reading people. Daliah handpicked them as they were female and they were more than capable of protecting her. Granted, she never needed to use the two and often thought it a waste that she have two of the most qualified agents guarding her. Still, she loved the company.

As the trio moved down the hall to the main door, they passed Purps. Purps was the head of the PR department and made sure the media was well informed of their good doing. She also made sure any supernatural sightings and happenings were magically removed from the media's eye. With a salute going to Daliah, Purps went on her way, which was what Daliah and company did too.

Finally arriving at the door, the three arrived just before Agent Volkov arrived. The woman saluted her, which made Daliah smirk. Oh how she loved the attention. Her two guards stood at a attention, though both were preoccupied with the tiger that growled by Volkov's feet. Neither liked the idea of the wild robotic beast, but since Artemis was allowed to have Ajax, Volkov could have Scar.

"Welcome to the SFA, Agent Volkov. Although you're new, you will be bumped immediately to Division 1. Your medical know-how and sense of justice is just what the team needs. Your senior agent is a personal favorite of mine. His name is Agent Sycom. His technically know-how will blow your mind away. He's a top-notch hacker and our mecha maker. He, like you, is very good with his mind and hands." She could sense a snicker come from Gunner. Shooting the guard a glare, Daliah returned her focus on Volkov. "For your criminal sidekicks, you'll have Mozilla, a man who kills those who abuse women and children; Lolipop, she was bullied by four kids and took their lives; Discord, who had a split personality known as Beserker; and Vex, our foxy mistress who was abused by her step-mother." Daliah flicked her hair aside. "They might not sound threatening, but they are all murderers. They killed once and could easily kill again. This," she slid a blaster into Volkov's hand, "if your Purium Blaster, or PB. If a criminal ever gets out of line, you can set the PB to stun or to kill. It's your choice."

While Daliah spoke, she had been escorting Volkov and her tiger down the hallway toward the inmate halls. With Volkov's records already on file, she didn't need to do any of the initial tests. Her military background helped her skill some of the smaller steps.

At the mouth of the inmate cells, she turned to Volkov and let a smirk slid on her face. "Feel free to wander around. Sycom is finishing up with the new team, briefing them on the changes. You can randevu with him, if you wish. If not, feel free to head to your quarters and rest up. Tomorrow at 9AM you will meet your team and take on your first mission." Her hand extended out to meet Volkov's. A firm shake followed. "Good luck and welcome to the SFA." Just like that, Daliah and her ladies in waiting were vanishing down the hall back to their desk, leaving poor Volkov all to her lonesome.

---------- Post added 12-11-2013 at 09:17 AM ----------

The raven across the way from him seemed strangely sympathetic and rather willing to go out of her way for him. Reino knew that he had made the right call to personally request her as his neighbor. Smirking when he read her comment about being with the SFA, he nodded. "Yes. I was supposed to be Division 1's leader. When I joined, I was assigned as the previous Division 1A's new agent. Within a year, they wanted me to take on that role so the other guy could retire knowing that he had a worthy successor. I only lasted a month though before... yeah." He waited for Shadow to read everything before he erased it all. What was she thinking, was what he really wanted to know. Was she shocked? Impressed? Peeved? Oh the answers he wanted and knew he would never have.

Once she was done reading, he erased everything thoroughly before writing, "You cannot tell anyone. Only a select few are privy to this information. In fact, you're the fourth inmate to know this. The agents know this but aren't allowed to discuss such matters without being killed by Daliah for breaching security measures." A look of worry flashed in his golden orbs. "It's best for you not to say a word, for your very life could be in danger with this knowledge." Erasing everything again, he left his board blank, knowing that he should probably change subjects before any wandering eyes or agents passed by.

"What's your favorite animal?" was the subject he opted for. He moved toward his bed and held up his kitty pillow that looked rather worn but well loved and used. "Meow, meow," he mouthed, obviously indicating that cats where his favorite. It wasn't hard to guess why either. Those mysterious creatures were very independent and skilled hunters. They were sharp, witty, and keen, much like Reino. But, if you could milk it out of them, cats could easily be the greatest of pets, loyal, soft, and smart just like dogs. Only, cats cost less. Not to say that Reino was a cheap date!

---------- Post added 12-11-2013 at 09:36 AM ----------

Vex sure was an interesting one. Had she note realized his presence, he would have been a shish kabob. Thankfully, today was not his day to die, or at least be pierced through the heart by one of her pretty, little knives. With a good run of his hand through his hair, he sheepishly laughed, "Regrettably, I'm not here to apologize for not coming to your aid years ago. You know me, I was too much of a weenie back then. Although," his brows furrowed as a perplexed look came on his face, "I suppose I'm still a weenie now." Looking at his arms, he tried to flex them but feel short of looking anything but uber muscular. He was just one of those skinny guys who was well-toned, but not overly threatening looking. Probably didn't help that he had lovely red locks; it just made him look even more approachable.

As her comment about coming to confess his love for her rolled off her tongue, he felt a pool of sweat form on his brow. His hands grew clammy and his heart beat spiked a bit. He was a stuttering mess now, too. He tried to open to mouth to combat her comment, but some either nothing to say or it came out as "Uhhs," "Umms," and "Erms." He really was not smooth when it came to such romantic interactions, especially trying to dispel a rumor. Still fumbling for something, he finally shrugged his shoulders in defeat. How was he to even match her wit and tongue at this point. He was a hopeless mess, but at least he was a hot hopeless mess.

Clearing his throat, he opted for the 'change of subject' routine. "I'm here to inform you that you've being promoted to the Division 1 team under my command." He could sense a 'banging the boss' comment coming. "And no, it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm dating Daliah." His brows furrowed again. "Actually, I'm sure it has everything to do with that." It was then when Sycom's true emotions came forward. "I swear she hates me. I secretly think she's putting me on the field to get killed. What kind of relationship is that?! Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Ugh, I'm a hopeless romantic and a mess." Hanging his head in defeat, he slouched into one of Vex's chairs and let out a heavy sigh. "If this keeps up, I might just have to find a new girlfriend." His eyes peeked up from behind his sunglasses. "Shall I pencil you in?" With a wink, he rose and moved closer to her.

Hands falling on her hips, he tugged the woman a few steps closer to he. They were close enough to kiss, but far enough away to dance. "To think, we could have been prom dates had you not decided to beat those boys up." Swaying with her slightly, he pretended there was music and that they were dancing before all their classmates. "They would have been so jealous of us. We would have been prom prince and princess, you know." Giving her a twirl, Sycom released his hold on her, but not before donning her hand with a light kiss. "And you know I am sorry. If only I could have found my courage. I might have been able to prevent this life for you."

Veronika liked this woman, that was for sure. She got to the point, took care of business and didn't sugar coat things. Like the army she was debriefed about her situation and then stranded after a firm handshake and another salute. Sighing softly, Volkov looked down at her new gun and then looked to Scar. "Alright mister, it seems that you get an upgrade." she said and playfully waved the gun in front of the large tiger, which he batted playfully. Chuckling, she allowed him to carry it in his mouth as they walked down the hall. She glanced around, obviously feeling like throwing the biggest bomb she could find in each cell and put these criminals out of their misery, but some of them didn't sound as bad as she thought. They just seemed to take the more bloody route to try and achieve justice. But she couldn't ever trust someone who killed, never. She was too scared for that, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Stopping in front of a room that had her name on it, she walked in, and smiled seeing her things. Good, she could get to work. If this place was anything like the army, she wouldn't get a lot of free time, but when she did she would make it count. Dragging out her tools and tossing her hat on the bed she patted the floor next to her and Scar willingly sat there. Working with skilled and loving hands, the woman went to work doing her routine adjustments on Scar, making sure everything was running, cleaning parts that needed cleaning, lubricating others, and tightening areas just because she could. Nothing was really out of place or a problem, she just did it because it made Scar feel like he just got done with a spa day.

Getting warm, she pulled off her uniform top, to reveal a tight white tank top that cut off just below her breasts. Her bra underneath was showing through because it was a bright pink but she didn't care. Having the large tiger turn over, she began to remove the spinal area and in the niche she was saving for a new weapon, she installed the PB. She got some grease smeared on her cheek and arms but there wasn't anyone to impress here. She had the position, now all she had to do was her job, and right now that consisted of arming herself with this gun. Finishing the welding and tightening of the gun, she began closing up the tiger and returned everything to where it was originally. Once done, Scar opened his eyes as he rebooted, and jumped on her purring loudly. She laughed as she was nuzzled and licked, scratching behind his metal ears lightly. He loved that, and rolled over onto his stomach.

Chuckling Veronika rubbed his tummy, laughing at the loud purring and playful mews coming from her companion. "You spoiled little boy." she laughed and gave his tail a light tug and shook her head. Putting her tools away, he got up and rubbed against her, and nearly caused her to fall over because he was almost using his whole weight. "You silly cat!" she laughed and retreated up to her feet and sat on the bed. Of course Scar jumped up and joined her on the bed and put his head in her lap. Chuckling softly Veronika petted his head lovingly. She would stay like this for a little while and then she would go take a shower, and Scar would want to join her. Like actual tigers, he loved water, and was completely immune to it messing with his wiring so often times she let him sit under the shower with her. He honestly didn't leave her side, he was like a boyfriend, except with less drama and needs in Volkov's opinion.

With wide eyes Shadow quickly read everything he wrote. She couldn't believe it. The man who use to be an assassin, the man right across from her in a cell like her own, use to be not just an agent but a high up agent. Stunned and a little off balance she directed her attention his board once more. Frowning she read everything quickly once more. It made sense for them to want to keep this information quiet. Reading the last part again Shadow's face fell for a split second before she schooled her features to look blank.

"What life? I have no life here."

She wasn't sure if Reino had read her lips. She wasn't even sure if she had actually said that out loud. But it was true, she didn't fear death. Her life was in danger every single second she was trapped in this prison.

Letting out a heavy sigh Shadow moved to her board and wrote an answer. "My favorite animal are birds. They have the freedom to fly anywhere they want." That was her biggest dream. To get out of the hell she lived in. Sometimes she wished she had never murdered the men that had killed her husband. But she only ever wished that for a moment or two. When it came down to it, she would have done it again if she could.

Shadow waited for a second before erasing what she wrote. "I had a feeling yours would be cats." Giving him a smile she continued. "What do you love to do the most?"

The silence of the room and the darkness helped slightly, soon he shifted onto his back to get more comfortable. He thought about the meeting that would apparently be on his to do list the following day. If all of them reguarded him as that foolish agent had done, he would not work well with them at all. Beserker's thoughts and feelings melded with his own in a sense, which only succeeded in confusing him a bit more. He streatched his arms above his head, "nnn...If only right?" he mused to himself a bit. He slipped out of bed, the darkness of the room all around him. He knew where everything was, so he didn't bump into anything as he began to pace a bit and think. He hummed slightly as he moved, keeping in step with the rhythm.

It helped a bit of his spirits, but the sinking feeling within his stomach was still there. Why was it so hard for people to accept what they saw, to understand he was not psychotic...maybe a little....but was he any less of a person than any of these other beings who were locked up within this hell. He spun on his heel a bit and shrugged, moving to the door. There was no going out it at the moment, but he had little intrest in that. It was alright, he needed pay no mind to those who could not see or try to understand. They were going to get out of here, him and Berserker....to finally do something with themselves as well as get some needed information for...other tasks. The smile slowly formed upon his lips once more, morning was taking to long to come.

((This reply is to Artemis, who is back on the last page.))

As Artemis left, Vlad clasped his hands behind him and stepped up to the window once again. The darkness was no comfort, and neither was the cold. If Artemis hadn't been an agent, he might have taken the energy from her instead of the fire. The thought was tempting, but he wasn't foolish enough to tug on her reserves while the SFA watched so closely.

Vlad looked back to the darkened room about him. With a sneer, the tall male moved over to the wall where the cityscape once was. He stared at the blank surface for many moments before sighing and turning back to the window. The little meeting with Artemis had heightened his sense of restlessness. Now, there was no hope of reading or observing the city streets in the hologram.

It was a good hour after Artemis had gone when Vlad began to move about his room without a purpose in mind. If only there was a way to burn off this restless feeling! The criminal's teal eyes narrowed as he recalled his last mission. It felt like too long ago. He needed to be out on the field soon.

((And now he's ready for whenever Hime makes her rounds. ;)))

The woman watched Sycom, waiting. The reaction she received from him was delightful. Men were rather cute when they were left speechless. Opting not to tease him further Vex let him change the subject, but little did she know that he would somewhat return to it later. Listening she gave nods when needed. “Don’t you know that dating the boss is never a good idea love? In the end it will only end in broken heart or in you being dead.” He caught Vex off guard with his next words.

She didn’t have time to respond before he was right in front of her, pulling her closer. Vex was blushing slightly and feeling quite flustered. Why now, why does he have to bring up such things? The two danced, while he talked of what could have been, but never would be. Once Sycom let go of her she stepped back a little from him. “A hopeless romantic indeed…” The woman shifted uneasily for a moment, raising a hand to her head. “Such things would have been nice, but what was done was done. Nothing can change it, besides who’s to say that I still wouldn’t have ended up with this kind of life even if I had had you as my knight in shining armor back then.”

Vex pushed back the unwanted memories that he had caused to surface. She moved back towards him, a sincere look in her hazel gray eyes as she gazed up at the older male. “As for courage dear, I think you’ve already found it, but haven’t realized it yet. If you hadn’t you wouldn’t have the courage to try dating Daliah. She’s a lucky woman, but I wonder if she knows that.” In a way Vex envied both Sycom and Daliah, they were both free and free to love as well. Her eyes lowered as she whispered, “thank you.” She left it up to figure out why she was thanking him.

Birds? He was a bit shocked at her response. She liked the thing his animal ate. Oops! Although, he did understand her love of birds. They were free and they were able to go anywhere. They almost lived too carefree for his own liking. Cats, on the other hand, were free. Even living indoors they were free. They were waited on left and right, too. Reino wouldn't say it, but he would have loved to live in the lap of luxury. To not have to lift a finger would have been fantastic. Although, thinking back on his youth, he supposed he did have that experience. He chose not to pursue it. Something about that lifestyle was a tad too boring for him. It was better to work hard than to sit around being bored all day.

At first, Reino misinterpreted Shadow's question. It explained the odd response he wrote back to her. "I like their ears and those cute little paws. I just want to squishy-squishy them. Everything about cats is cute! I could just gobble them up." It was after he wrote that he realized Shadow wasn't talking about cats, per se. Playing it off as if he were being silly, he wrote, "I think my favorite thing to do is brush a cat. Or to sit outside with a cat and watch the world pass me by. I like observing things." He erased everything before writing, "I also enjoy a good hike in the woods. Corn mazes are fun too."

He looked back across the way to see what Shadow would say in return. What did she like? Yoga? Reading? Meditation? Maybe she was a runner? Speaking of running, he quickly jotted that note down too. "I was also an avid runner. Did swimming too." Pointing at her, he mouthed, "And you?"

It was nice to be with Vex. She had a way of making things easy. Yeah, she was a criminal. Yes, a part of her couldn't be trusted. But, underneath it all, she was still human. With a reassuring hand squeeze, Sycom gave her his best smile yet. "You never need to thank or apologize to me. Consider it a perk of being my friend."

Realizing that he hadn't really briefed Vex on the situation and what was transpiring, he pulled up two seats. He offered one to her and took the other for himself. "I suppose we ought to talk business for a moment. As I was saying, you've been reassigned. You'll work alongside, Mozilla, Discord, and Lolipop. You'll learn more about them tomorrow as we have a meeting at 9AM. As far as the mission goes, it's rather top secret. I do believe it will mark some changes for all of us, though I'm not certain on the specifics. I sense a new wing is in order as is an office room. We'll want to avoid the public SFA eyes, especially if we don't want to stir up emotions and mayhem." Sycom could sense a bit of excitement in the woman. He knew what question was on the tip of her tongue. "Yes, you'll more than likely be granted more freedom. With four agents to you eight assistants, we should get a rather large area with plenty of open space and rooms." He smirked. "I can make sure it happens. Dating the boss does have it perks." A wink followed.

Leaning into the space between then, he looked up at her pretty face. "So, my darling, have you any questions for me?" If it weren't for the fact that his Threat Level was so low, one might have thought Sycom was a criminal, especially with the sly smile that played on his handsome features. He should could lay on the bad boy charm, which made him all the more attractive.

Hime watched the dark haired male that sat before her; she could feel that the mood in the air was shifting and that she was starting to lose him. The changing of his facial expressions was only confirming what she had originally only presumed. Slowly, the woman slid one hand from her thigh to rest on her hip where she kept her purium blaster; too many times had she seen situations go from bad to worse with only the slight change of the mood like this and she was not about to be caught up in such a mess.

After what seemed like many long moments, Cias finally spoke which, though it did set the woman at ease, it wasn't enough for her to pull her hand away from the close range she had to her weapon. His irritation for what was going on at this point was evident. He was no longer giving her his full attention which was an easy sign to say he was done speaking with her, even if he had a few last words to get in before she would be able to leave.

Even though the male had asked her questions, they were redundant or at least she saw no reason to directly answer them as at that point it would give him the upper ground and make the agent seem like she was in the wrong and needed defending. All agents had their own ways to go about their interviews; sometimes they worked well, other times they didn't, but there was no way to tell beforehand just what sort of reaction it was going to bring up.

Once silence fell upon the room again, after Cias made his last remark about how she could pretend that he agreed, Hime finally stood from her spot and slowly walked back towards the door in silence. "I shall finish interviewing the rest of your new teammates," she told him. "Upon completion as well as receiving further information from the SFA main office, I shall return to gather you and the rest of the team to go over our new orders and to allow you all to get acquainted." At this point she had stopped at the door. Turning her head to peak over her should at the male, she cast him a cold look as she added in a sweet soft voice, one that contradicted the gaze, "I appreciate you taking the time to speak me." Lifting her hand to the inside panel, she unlocked and opened the door, closing it once she was back within the main hallway.

Hime paused outside the door for a few minutes, closing her eyes and rolling them towards the top of her head as she let out a sigh, fighting to keep her inner demons from voicing their thoughts. Truth be told, the woman hated the interviews, even if she was getting a new team and one that was as qualified as this; at least her old team knew what she expected out of them and would do as they were told. Upon getting new teammates, the criminals seemed to enjoy pushing the envelope to see what they could get away with and trying to test such freedoms rather than obeying orders really irritated the woman.

After finally getting her thoughts back together, Hime opened her eyes and pulled the bottom file to the forefront of her stack. Sliding the front page open, she was greeted with an appearance and name that was very fitting for the stereotypical vampire male from the old, ancient at this point, Dracula novels. His name was Vlad and looking through his paper work as she walked, the woman had to keep in mind that if she thought Cias had started to become difficult to deal with, Vlad had the likelihood of being 'Mission Impossible'.

The woman took note of his room number before sighing at the thought of pacing up and down the same corridor. Though, at the same time having two members in the same area did make gathering half her team easier. The short woman made her way back towards the central area of SFA, as Vlad's cell was in that direction. She was lost in thought as she tried to piece together what to expect from the male and how cooperative he would be. Not to mention, the curiosity of just why such a strong team was being put together also made the woman wonder.

Thinking about such things made the walk back much quicker as well. In fact, Hime had made her way to the beginning of the corridor by the time her thoughts allowed her to return to reality. "Really?" She cursed herself as she turned around and went back into down the length of cells. After a few moments, she found herself before a dark cell, one that seemed to just swallow light whole and not release it back to the world. Why do all of my teammates enjoy hiding in the dark so much? The woman asked herself as she held her hand over the touch pad. It wasn't like the prisoners could hide from the SFA in the dark, they still could watch their movements, so to just willingly confine oneself in such a manner, it didn't make sense to the petite blond.

Once the door opened, Hime stepped inside closing the door behind her before turning back to allow her eyes to adjust to the darkness. She was quiet for several moments as she gave herself a chance to see, though she could feel the eyes of the male she was visiting watching her. The gaze was cool, cold actually, almost like ice and it seemed to be filled with a burning hatred, or desire. Hime almost felt uncomfortable beneath the gaze and as her eyes finally became accustomed to the darkness, the color of the orbs watching her were as beautifully unsettling as the look that came from them.

"Good evening Vlad,"
the woman said softly, though the tone was not one of fear or unease. "I am Agent Hime and starting today I shall be your new team lead. Let's get to know each other a little bit, shall we?" Unlike with Cias, because she literal did not know where that boy was when she had entered, Hime did not attempt to change the lighting in the room. If the male wished to be surrounded by the low light of candles, that was his desire; she was not about to upset one of the most powerful criminals their organization had to offer by turning the lights up.

A puzzled look crossed the woman’s face for a moment when the older male said she was his friend. Friend? That was a laughable thought. Vex wasn’t naïve enough to believe they could really be friends when relationships between agents and criminals was very frowned upon. Then again maybe there was something there. Of course it would be Sycom’s own fault if he got in trouble for giving her special treatment. Those thoughts were quickly pushed aside when he pulled up two chairs. She gave him a nod and took the seat he offered.

Vex listened to what he had to say. Hmmm…it seems that your dear Daliah gave you an interesting team for this new mission.” She took in what he had to say about the reassignment. “Stirring up emotions? It’s it a little too late for that?” A smirk appeared on her lips to return the one he had. Having more freedom would be nice, but sharing a space with others was another story. Though at least Sycom was going to do what he could for them. He was one of the few that actually treated her or the other criminals like humans. She would have to see about whether or not she liked her new teammates. The woman knew a little about each of them, but had never worked with any of them before.

“Freedom now that would be nice. For now I’ll settle for what freedom I can get.” A light laugh came from her as she thought about what all he had said. “Actually I do have a few questions. Why at 9am? Seriously isn’t it in my file that I’m not a morning person? Though I suppose it can’t be helped, they aren’t going to change the time to please a criminal. You said there would be four agents to eight assistants. So who makes up the second team? Who is the second agent for your team?” Vex leaned closer to him with a flirtatious look on her face, they were almost close enough to kiss. “Also do you really think it wise to be friends with a cold hearted criminal like me? Do you know what your precious Daliah will do if she were to find out?” The reason behind her last question wasn’t as clear as the others she had asked. One would probably guess it was because she knew well that Daliah could dispose of her any time whether she was a useful SFA puppet or not.

Irritation finally spilled over after Hime left his cell. He swiped his hands to indicate he was done with the files. The observations that the system had recorded itself were added in as a side note to his own work before the words blipped away from his vision. A moment later, he had kicked his couch over, the pillows against the far wall. He stood over the flipped piece of furniture with his eyes narrowed as he concentrated on his breathing, well aware that if he didn't calm himself down now his Threat Levels would continue to climb, which would get him into some trouble he'd rather not have to deal with in his current mood.

Flexing his hands a few times, Cias dropped his eyes and found himself looking at the carpet, now fully free from where it had been trapped under the couch. With nothing else to occupy his angry thoughts, he remembered his earlier thoughts about the sanitary condition of his carpet. Slowly, his expression relaxed and he bent down to roll up the carpet, tucking it under an arm. He climbed over the flipped couch to reach the wall panel and put on some music, listening to what was playing briefly before flipping to another genre, and repeating a few times before he found a collection of songs that sounded extremely bright and cheery and would probably make people puke rainbows. Leaving it on to play (hey, it would definitely distract him from his irritation of the agents and the SFA. He'd be too busy being annoyed by the cutesy songs.) he headed into the bathroom and turned on the faucet to the tub, plugging the drain hole and dumping some soap in, waiting for the basin to fill up.

The carpet was dropped into the soapy water and his sleeves shoved up past his elbows before he bent over and dunked the fabric under the water a few times, sitting back on his heels briefly to blink through some notifications that popped up in his vision before returning to his self-set task. He'd have that carpet thoroughly cleaned in an hour or so, he estimated.

The door opened for the second time that evening, distracting Vlad from his observation of the fake city streets below his supposed balcony. There was no knock, no warning - just an introduction.

"Two visits in one night." Vlad watched Hime with a predatory expression. "I suppose I should feel honored."

The candles had been lit again, and the dim lighting lingered on Hime's golden hair and small stature. Vlad found himself immediately feeling the urge to either crush her or chase her out. Neither of those options were optimal, sadly.

Turning away from the red-colored city street beside him, Vlad eyed Hime for a few moments before responding. "Reassignment," he said, looking disgusted. "Again." The tall male stepped away from the digitized wall, bringing himself closer to the girl. "The agency does enjoy keeping me on my toes, now don't they?"

He could sense the energy in this girl. She was, quite frankly, a little spitfire trapped in a small being. Vlad wasn't happy with reassignment - he hated the sense of domination that took place as the other criminals tested their boundaries, and he hated needing to remind the team lead that he wasn't fond of what they had to say.

Vlad's expression shifted, and his teal eyes moved to the window across the room. "Why get to know one another? I am being used to further the agency's progression." Hands behind him, he casually moved to stand a few feet from Hime, looking down at her with a slight smile. She was so small.... "Everything you need is in my file."

Then again... what was the harm in toying with an agent's mind? He wasn't going to harm her....

"Hime, is it? What do you need to know, little one?"

Hime had to mentally take a step back to calm down. This isn't being very princess-like, she mentally scolded herself as she tried to bring herself back down to her usual level-headed standing that she normally had. She remained in silence for a few moments after the male had spoken; his voice and stature seeming to not only continue to aid in befitting the Dracula monster, but also added to the ambiance of his room.

"This is merely our introduction session, Vlad,"
Hime replied softly, a smile gracing her own features to meet the male's small one. "Everyone within this team has been reassigned from their old ones. You shall be acting as breaker along side Shadow. We shall also have Cias and Reino on our team. Of course, I shall not be the only Agent you will be working with either; there is also the reassignment of my own partner that I am still awaiting news on."

The male seemed unmoving and given his closeness, it was as though he were not in the mood for guests, or at least letting Agents within his 'home' too deeply. That was not a matter that the blonde was going to be pushing on as such details were not important. The woman's eyes wandered about the room for a few moments as she allowed what she had said to sink in with the male. To her the silence was not a prison, but then again, she wasn't confined to her quarters at all hours of the day. There were some days that even that seemed like a better option than the work she would have had planned.

"With that being said,"
the woman said, her voice starting out soft, almost lost to the darkness around them. Her bright blue orbs shifted to look up at the male once again, her chin lifted to fully look the male in the face. "I have come today, not only to notify you of your team change, but we will be heading out soon, so we do not have as much time for everyone to casually get to know one another. I must be sure that you will swear what loyalty you can to this group and not dwell on groups past." The look in the woman's eyes were borderline pleading, almost as though if the male rejected her whole world was going to fall apart and she wouldn't know what to do.

Though she gave the male the time he desired to respond without her pressing the matter further, her gaze remained upon him as well as her complete attention.

((Sorry it took so long! Couldn't get on long enough to make a post. Bleh..so crappy))

Laughing out loud Shadow shook her head. Reino's response had managed to create a genuine laugh out of her once more. She leaned up against her glass door as he continued to write. Leaning her head against the glass she let out a sigh and thought about what ifs.

This was the most fun she had had in forever and all they were doing was talking. She missed conversations and "normal" things. All she wanted was her old life back, but that was never going to happen.

She was a little surprised when Reino said he use to be a runner and swimmer. Pushing off from the glass Shadow went to her board and replied. "You really do like cats." She flashed him a smile before erasing and writing again. "I like to run also. You know I love yoga and meditation." She paused before adding, "but I love to dance." It was one of her greatest passions, dancing. Shadow didn't dance often because it made her think of other times and she wanted to forget all about her past.

His love of cats was a major understatement. Ever since Reino was less than a year old, he was surrounded by cats. As a wee little baby, his parents went to a shelter to get him a kitty. They were only to get one, but Reino ended up picking three. He simply refused to part with them too. Caving, his mother agreed to adopt all three of the kittens, reassuring the shelter that they would all live a splendid life.

That was an understatement.

By the time Reino was five, his three cats were groomed into royalty. Each had its own mansion and stockpile of toys and treats. Reino's personal favorite was Bandito the "Burrito Stealing Bandit." Bandito was a solid brown cat with what looked like a black mask over his eyes and black gloves on his paws. He was slick and sneaky, much like a bandit. The other two kitties, Chi-Chi, a spotted white cat, and Linguini, a siamese, received similar spoils, but weren't as lucky as Bandito for he slept on Reino's pillow at night.

The cats lived a rather long time, too. Chi-Chi died at nine and Linguini made it to eleven. Bandito? He lived long enough to see Reino's transformation from a sweet, studious man into a monster. Bandito's dying breath was in an act of sheer kindness. Reino was in the crosshairs of a sniper's gun and, out of nowhere, Bandito jumped in to take the kill-shot. It wasn't too long after that Reino's Threat Level jumped to the 300s, as he was dead set on killing the man who took his best friend's life.

Needless to say, upon being in the hands of the SFA as an inmate, Reino had put in over two hundred request tags for a cat. He has yet to be granted one. He knows this is a carrot they'll dangle before him, should he need the extra incentive to work harder and longer. It would work too. Between using a cat to lure him or Shadow, Reino would be an easy criminal to break. Granted, he might be a bit sassy or rude about everything, but it was only to save face and make himself look like a badass in the eyes of the other inmates.

His golden orbs lit up when she mentioned dancing. He actually recalled that. Nights before the hit on her husband, Reino was sent to spy on the couple. He saw them dance and he watched just how happy they were. They could have had a nice future, had the boss' son not seen something.

Shaking his head, he laughed the thought away. Shadow was better off this way. She was stronger and more beautiful than ever now. Even though sorrow and grief worried her, Shadow was a tough gal and was easily at her prime.

"So dancing," he wrote, "I took a ballroom dancing once." He left it at that, not wanting her to know the reasons why he took it. "Maybe one day I'll show you my moves. Until then, you'll just have to deal with these ones," he said while flexing his arm muscles. Winking, he then gracefully lifted his leg to the side while posing like a ballerina. "Lookie me, I'm Shadow the pretty, pretty dancing princess~!" he teased her on the board. In his attempt to spin around, his foot toppled over his board, which fell onto the lamp. The lamp dropped on the chair, which sent a few of the desk's objects flying at him. Panic overcame him, but not for long! His face flushed with embarrassment as he now stood in the middle of his messy room.

"Oops," he mouthed before shrugging. Picking up a small white board, he wrote, "I make a better spy than I do a dancer."

---------- Post added 12-16-2013 at 05:58 PM ----------

"Interesting is hardly the word I would use to describe my team. The fact that I've not been in the field for quite some time worries me." Biting his lip, he shrugged his shoulders. "I think Daliah's faith in me is misguided. I'm excellent at computers and analysts, but field work? It's been ages and I honestly wasn't that good. I'm too much of a softy," he confessed to the woman before him. Looking over her features, Sycom knew that she was showing some signs of discomfort. Their friendship was bound to bother some people, especially since befriending a criminal was heavily frowned upon. But this was Sycom. He wasn't the kind of guy to mistreat anyone, not even a criminal. Bad or good, it didn't matter. What mattered was the fact that there was a heart and a chance that goodness, love, and happiness could be achieved. Compassion, too.

Moving onto her questions, Sycom addressed the morning one first. "9AM allows you to sleep in a bit, doesn't it? It was originally scheduled for 6AM. I complained because I didn't want to get up that early, especially on the first day of our new mission. I tried to get her to push it to 10 but 9 was the latest she would allow it. I guess she wants us in the field by noon, which isn't possible if we start at 11. I suppose," he said while rolling his eyes.

"The other team is composed of Hime and Artemis. Their partners are Reino, Cias, Shadow, and Vlad. Shadow and Vlad are their Breakers with Reino was the IDer and Cias as the Enhancer, I believe. Let's just say that the other team, Team B, is more problematic and more likely to cause us a headache. Vlad reminds me of a blood-sucking vampire. Cias is unique and worries me. Shadow is a rather graceful killer. And Reino," he paused and to wet his lips, "Reino's an ass." It was pretty obvious that he was not overly fond of the last guy he spoke of. The name alone struck a nerve in him, as evident by his hands that were now balled into fists.

Calming down, he smiled sweetly at Vex. "What's the worse they can do to me? Kill me? Throw me in jail? Take me off the team?" his eyes lingered on her for a moment longer before looking away. "Life has no meaning unless you've friends, family, and dreams. The SFA can take away your freedom but they cannot stop you from finding a sense of belonging. Even in isolation, you will find friendship in the inanimate objects. We're all people. We all need the same things - food, water, and shelter. We also need safety, belongingness, self-worth, and the ability to understand. Try as hard as the SFA might, the need for man to find these things and obtain Homeostasis will always triumph. The law can try to mold us, but we will always want to break free." His voice seemed hallow and a tad dark.

"Anyway, have you any other questions?"

Vlad tilted his head slightly at the mention of his other teammates. The slightest of smiles followed, and he stayed silent while Hime carried on. There was a long silence, and Vlad seemed to enjoy how it lingered between them. How long did it take to make Hime uncomfortable? Some people started to squirm after the ten second mark, and rarely did the guards or agents make it past thirty seconds....

It was nearly a minute later when the agent began to speak once again. Her voice was gentle, soft, and nearly lost in the darkness of the room. Vlad met the young woman's gaze steadily, looking bored as she mentioned loyalty to the group. His expression shifted to grim amusement as she mentioned dwelling on past groups.

"Child," he turned, looking uninterested in the pleading look that Hime gave him. "I hold no loyalty to my team. My cooperation comes from the desire to live, and this." Vlad tapped the teal crystal embedded over his heart. "My abilities are to be used. I know how the routine goes." His gaze flickered back to Hime, recalling how utterly desperate she'd looked just moments prior. If he'd been a citizen with a normal way of reading emotions, he would have felt sorry for her and immediately consented. Instead, the criminal saw her pleading as a weakness to be exploited.

"I will cooperate with the agency," Vlad stated, waving the thought away as though it was sickening to him. "I've been doing this for half my life."

His teal gaze became predatory once again, and he eyed Hime for a moment. His threat levels spiked as he thought of following this little creature as his team lead. Ugh, he hated the agents and their misleading representations of power. Hime was likely more powerful than she let on, but ... she was so delicate, Vlad was tempted to prod her to see what happened.

Before he could even stop himself, the tall male was before her once again, this time invading Hime's space. Less than a foot was between them. Vlad's cold fingers tapped Hime's collarbone, leaving a lingering chill. "Consider our introduction complete, agent." Threat levels lifted once again as Vlad reached up to finger a bit of the hair along her cheek. "I'll be waiting for my escort in the morning."

How difficult it was not to lash out at that moment! How delicate Hime was, and how small.... Vlad would have no trouble crushing her. His Purium enhanced his strength, giving him enough power to kill the agent before she could even reach for her Purium blaster. He would be lying if he said the thought never came to mind. Vlad struggled with the desire to lash out even then. His threat levels showed as much. The glowing of his Purium crystal screamed out that he was more than tempted.

“Daliah’s faith may or may not be misguided. You need to have faith in yourself dear,” Vex smiled. She continued to listen as he answered her many questions. It was kind of nice, being able to just talk with someone like this. Chances like this were rare after all and even more rare when the person treated you as a friend. “I suppose you’re right since she wants us in the field so early. Really there isn’t any time to waste I guess.”

A smirk formed on her lips as she heard who was on the other team. She laughed a little, the laugh was dark. “Those two are going to have their hands full. Good thing none of them are really your team and you don’t have to really worry with them right?” Vex recognized a few of the names Sycom had listed. Rieno was the main one though. Truthfully she didn’t care much for that man herself and had to agree when the male called him an ass. Noticing the older males hands made into fists she placed her own hands on top of his. It was a small gesture that she did subconsciously really.

Even though Sycom was smiling at her she frowned slightly. Something about the thought of this person being killed bothered her. Quickly she pushed the thought away, removing her hands from the top of his. “Friends and family? Those were given up with freedom. Though I do suppose you make some good and valid points.” It amazed her sometimes the way Sycom talked and acted, it was like he was a criminal himself. Once more she smiled at him.

Vex grinned. “More questions? Hmm, I’m sure I could come up with plenty more. That way you would have to spend the night here with me.” Once more she was leaning close to him, looking into his eyes. Oh how flirting him like this was fun. What made it even more fun was the fact that he flirted and teased back. “Of course I could always just keep you here against your will. After all your Daliah would pay any ransom to get you back if I kidnapped you right?” The woman’s tone had grown dark and there was a mischievous gleam in her eyes.

It wasn’t against the rules for her to have fun in her own cell, even if it was at the expense of an agent right? Before the man had time to react to her strange question she moved out of her seat. Moving across the room she pretended to get something out of a draw. It was going to be fun to see his reaction. Quietly she turned, acting as if she was hiding something behind her back. “Maybe you better call it a night before you get in over your head.”
