"That's what I'm saying. She's just rushing in, and going berserk. "He said, holding up his sword, using his arm to straighten it out. "Time your attacks. Wait for the right moment......"He waited until he was lined up and then, using a gust of wind, sent the blade flying, until it went through the demons chest. It didn't kill it, just stunned it. "The Spirits of the wind hold a special cleansing power, abled to blow away the evil of the world......in the Name of this Divine wind, Go back to hell!"He yelled, and trapped the demon into a cyclone. He decided too not finish it off, to give Sachi the Satisfaction of killing it.

Sachi would remember that, years ago, when they were kids, Jared couldn't even control his fire. Now, he was a full-fledged Wind Mage. However, this brought up several questions : Where had Jared been? Did he know about the War? Did he know about Sachi's family? What side was he on?

Sachi glanced at Jared, amusement shining in her eyes. "A challenge, then?" she asked, grinning. She noted the half-dead demon and sighed. Really, it wasn't much fun, nor a challenge. Barely glancing at the demon, she shot it square between the eyes. The body caught fire, and it was reduced to ashes. "Really, you haven't even begun to..." she paused, ducking as another large demon appeared at the entrance of the dining room, trapping them inside. This one held twin swords, each shining with crimson demonic light.

"Since you're so keen to rest, I'll let you kids do just that," she remarked, and bounced at the demon. She leapt into the air and landed a flying kick on the demon's chest, knocking it out of the room and onto its back. With deft movements, she shot three bullets into the demon's chest, and three more into its head. She holstered the gun, reminding herself to reload when she was finished with the demon, closed her eyes, and inhaled. For a mere second, her face was completely serene, finally devoid of her cheshire-like grin.

Here eyes snapped open, a wicked grin shot in place. Flames shot from her arms and joined the smaller fires that were already burning from the bullet wounds, creating a hellish inferno. The demon shrieked, but his head and torso were burned away before he could rise, leaving only the mangled remains of his shins. Sachi waved her hand almost lazily and watched the legs turn to dust with the rest of the body. "Hope they don't mind a little smoke damage," she commented, noting the black marks on the ceiling above them. She had made sure the fire didn't burn the house down, but the smoke was out of her control.

"Don't overdo it," Ryuu's ever-nagging voice appeared in her head, and she rolled her eyes at the ceiling. That kind of magic took its toll after a while, but she had more endurance than to be exhausted by one measly demon. Being defeated by using only that much power...that was a long time ago. Strict training had taken care of that. "Jared, too..." she mused. "He must have had a helluva time, not being able to control fire. Well, the wind's working for him well enough. Could've killed it on his own, had he a mind to." Her smile darkened ever so slightly. She didn't appreciate being tested, especially not by her junior, but it was to be expected when you were working with strangers, blood or not.

Her quick musings completed, she turned and faced the two men, and teasingly asked, "Was that nap long enough for you, or should I take care of the rest so you get a bit more shut-eye, hmm?"

Wind blew out the smoke in the house, leaving the ceiling un-damaged. "Honestly, don't waste your power. These demons are not the strongest in here, Kasai. "He said. He'd changed his last name, too cut off all ties with the Kasai family. He felt no obligation to show respect, or too help, the Kasai family anymore, and that was the way he wanted it too stay. This mission was only a matter of Convenience.....and he was getting paid.

By the time the first demon within the middle of the dining room was reduced to ash, Azaiah had only stopped in his tracks before he could reach the entrance to the next hallway. Turning his actual body over towards the other two to see what kind of job they had done on defeating the demon, the dark-haired male had simply nodded his head before yet another loud slam into the ground was heard right behind him. With the sudden increase in demonic aura and following the fact that he wasn't expecting it either; his single blue hazel eye had widen slightly in shock as he turned his head over his shoulder to see the larger demon with twin swords.

Right as soon as the demon was preparing to swing down both of it's blades onto Azaiah's body; the last thing he had expected was to see that Sachi came flying in with her kick to push the demon backwards and straight onto his back. Exhaling a deep breath as Sachi fought against the other demon, Azaiah had placed a single hand over his heart yet again from behind his cloaked wings and clenched down onto it lightly.

Once the pain had finally subsided the fighting had only just come to an end; Azaiah had taken his eyes onto Sachi who looked back at them. Shaking his head lightly, he made his way over towards the female and immediately began to walk pass her. "There are plenty more to cleanse within this home..we're far from done..not to mention, there is something much more powerful in this home. Can't really guarantee where it is exactly due to all the other strong demons, but we can be sure enough that there is something else waiting for us." He explained to the two without facing them as he continued down the path until reaching a large lobby-like area of the home.

Yet again, without so much as much warning. Yet another demon had decided to appear from the darkness to show itself. This one however, had what looked like a fox-like mask over it's real face and had the body of what looked like an ordinary human being. The demon had worn what also looked like a dark navy bluish male kimono has in it's hands were a pair of hook swords that the demon kept scraping against one another as it made it's way down the staircase of the lobby.

Staring at the human-like demon approaching him from the top of the staircase, in an instant the same demon had vanished into thin air and was now standing right behind Azaiah with it's hook swords on it's shoulders. Two light cuts had shown onto Azaiah's shoulders from unknowingly being cut from the quick speed of a demon being that fast. Letting out a small grunt, the male had turned his single gaze over at the demon while keeping his right eye from opening too much. 'I..have to..k-keep calm.' he told himself mentally, wondering if the other two were coming into the room anytime soon.

Sachi just laughed, saying, "Worry about yourself first, kiddo," she said. Though Jared was maintaining his distance, she had quickly slipped into the way she had spoken to him when they were children. Some habits were hard to break. She nodded in response to the Kurai leader's words and commented, "There always is. That's what makes life interesting, huh?" There was a trace of bitterness in her tone, but it was masked by her chuckle.

Sachi reloaded her gun, then checked the amount of clips of ammo strapped on her belt - another force of habit, as she knew how much ammo she used. Humming quietly, she followed after the Kurai leader. She found herself facing a demon in a fox-mask. From behind the human-like demon she could see the Kurai leader, heard his soft grunt. "New friend?" she asked him, grabbing her hunting knife from her holster. Her aim was good, but the demon was standing too close to the Kurai head for her to feel comfortable using her gun. "Should've brought the katana. Well, I could use that, but that'll mean this will be my last fight, and I'll have to let the kids clean up." She smirked evilly at the creature."Hell no."

She thought she could hear the demon chuckle from behind the mask; an eerie, hollow sound. Sachi grinned grimly in return. "Comparing sizes, are we?" she murmured. Her muscles tensed to charge forward, but the demon had already moved, and she was staring at the Kurai head's back. Instinct had her rolling to the side, but she didn't quite avoid two shallow cuts running diagonally from over her left breast to her left shoulder. She turned her head and saw the demon once more. The eerie cackle resonated in the room. "Ah, he's toying with us," she thought. "Fine, I'll play." Her grin widened. She rose and backed up to the Kurai head. "He'll be hard to handle if we can't restrict his movements. Think you can cage 'im with that dark spikey-things you whipped out earlier?" She shrugged, easy going as usual. "If you have another idea, go for it. I don't know the extent of your abilities."

With the deep wounded cuts in his shoulders, Azaiah hadn't bothered to regenerate the wound with his power but rather he kept them there and had taken a glare towards the human-like demon. Before it could even begin to charge back forward in a flash of another swing of the pair of hook swords, the sound of Sachi stepping into the room had caught his attention. The sound of what seemed more like a hollowed chuckle from the demon behind him had caused Azaiah to grit his teeth together at the thought of how much faster this one was compared to the other two the trio had just fought. Was this the stronger demon that was hiding this whole time from the trio and just decided to show itself now, or was this simply another demon that the trio had to deal with before reaching the big boss within the home.

Either way, as the sudden rush from Sachi approaching the dark-haired male's back had caused him to turn his head over his shoulder to listen as to how she asked if he could use his shadow spikes again; if not, to do anything to see if he could stop the demon's inhumanly fast movement. As his own gaze landed onto the demon once more for a moment, only to have it vanish before he could even keep his gaze onto it for even so much as a whole minute. Azaiah had clenched down onto his fists before turning to return his attention onto the Kasai head. "As long..as you can trust me. Just relax...and keep your sense of hearing strong."

As he had informed the red-haired woman, Azaiah had slowly began to close his left eye till both of his eyes were now completely shut. Opening up both of his palms, the bandages around his arms had slightly loosen up themselves, but only to reveal his fingertips. Each one of the the fingertips gaining a strange blackish purple orb that all extended themselves in size around the entire lobby area. Nothing more than pitch darkness was now consuming the entire room, sight would be completely impossible; even if light were to appear within the room it would quickly be consumed by the darkness around them. "Black void.." Azaiah had mouthed the words, all senses had been shut down completely to the demon at this point; and even Azaiah's had been as well; the only sense he still had was his sense at hearing.

Throughout the darkness, the demon had began to rush in multiple different directions only to hit into the walls, stairs and other objects within the room. Listening to the footsteps of the demon rushing around, he wondered if Sachi would be able to rid the demon from this room or if Azaiah had to take care of this one.

Blades of wind flew past Azaiah, into the creature, severing it's limbs, until finally decapitating it. Jared then looked around "That was 3 major Demons......Two left in here, so We should be alright for now. However, instead of just rushing forward on our own, like complete dumbasses- "He said, looking at Azaiah. "Let's stick together."

Sachi grinned and nodded at the Kurai head. She watched as he sucked the room into complete darkness. Her body tingled as she listened for the demon. It wasn't hard to tell where he was running around; the room reverberated with his desperate attempts to flee the blackness. She had lifted her gun, concentrating when the sound of his feet had slowed, only to feel a rush of wind. Given the demon's grunts, Jared had just killed the demon. "Che, no fun!" she complained, but her tone was light and cheerful as usual. "Hey, turn on the lights again, eh? Pretty bad ass, by the way," she informed the Kurai leader with a laugh, slapping him on the shoulder heartily.

She turned in Jared's direction and made a face. "Yeah, yeah, keep your pants on." She took advantage of the darkness and used her other senses to focus on the other demonic aura's at hand. Locating demons wasn't exactly her strength; she could feel when one was close enough, but the exact location was a little...even now, she only guessed they were on the second floor. "Ready to go up?" she asked them.

As from what Azaiah was able to hear, neither the demon nor did Sachi had decided to do anything other than listening to the sounds of where the demon was dashing off to. Maybe he should've taken care of it right now while he could; however right when he was about to use another one of his skills to rid the room of the demon, the sound of decapitation of body parts had caught him slightly off guard. The smell of demon blood filled the air and gave away the fact that the demon rushing around had finally been taken care of. In an instant, he had stomped his foot into the ground ; the darkness that had covered the entire room quickly began to fade away, almost as though it had melted off of the walls and their surroundings, only to return back to where the shadow had originally gathered from.

When the other male had stated there were two other demons within the home, Azaiah had shook his head in response for a moment. "Indeed..two more of those. However, im sure you've noticed..there is still yet one more of their group. One much stronger then the rest." He informed Jared as he ignored the insult of what he had called him by the name of. When Sachi asked the two of them if they were ready to go up to the next floor, he had simply given a nod to agree before looking over towards the staircase. "Want to take the stairs then?.." He questioned the two of them for a moment.

"Sure. It beats making our own hole in the ceiling and climbing up," she laughed. Sadly, she had tried that on a whim. Though it had been entertaining, a few demons had escaped while she was amusing herself, and she vowed never to repeat the trick (unless it was completely warranted). She made her way towards the stairs without a backwards glanced; given the rest of the demons were upstairs, there didn't seem to be a reason to stay where they were anyway. No one seemed extremely tired (and it didn't seem like a smart idea to stop and rest somewhere, given the situation) so she pushed on.

She whistled quietly as she went, her eyes darting around merrily as she surveyed the second floor. If possible, it was even gloomier and dustier than the first floor had been, full of very dusty antique furniture and (in her opinion) hideous paintings. She switched songs as she examined a rather ugly armchair. It had probably once been a cheerful sort of burgundy, but now it was the color of dried blood. Despite the dust covering every other piece of furniture, this one looked strangely...moist. "Ah, it's this type. I hate these things..." she thought. She abruptly turned on her heel and kicked an end table. One of legs snapped neatly from the marble table top and she grabbed it. "Stand back," she muttered, and lit the broken limb with her hand. When it had gathered a nice blaze, she chucked it at the chair.

The chair shrieked and exploded as an acrid smell permeated the air. Sachi gagged slightly and dodged flaming bits of goo. The "arm chair" suddenly rose off the ground and melted into a blobby, oozing, demon that somehow almost held a human form. Parts of his body was still charred, but the ooze cycled through his body, and within moments he was healed. "Damn thing," she muttered. "You can't even burn it properly." Indeed, if you burned enough of it, the resulting noxious gas proved to be toxic, as a few of the Kasai clan had found out the hard way. It was incredibly difficult to kill; it regenerated with amazing speed, could move its body to create any form, and it didn't have any bones to break. The only way to kill it was to destroy its heart, which it could move anywhere inside or outside of its body (though the body couldn't be too far from its organ - not for long periods of time anyway). Sachi cursed under her breath. "Definitely should've taken the katana. He'll suck me in if I get too close," she thought, giving her hunting knife a quick glance. Her eyes fell upon an old suit of armor carrying an ancient halberd. It wouldn't do much damage against a demon; a demon slayer's weapon consisted of more than just metal.

A smirk curved her lips, and she grabbed the old weapon. "Challenge accepted." She faced the demon with a feral grin.

"At least, if it goes badly, the other two will kill the bastard," she rationalized. "So, let's find the heart, shall we?" Without looking back for her companions, she charged the demon and began strategically slashing at its (for lack of a better word) flesh, dodging when it attacked. "Kill the heart and we'll end this," she told the others, suddenly realizing they may not have faced an annoyance like this.

Her weapon was barely making a dent on the demon. She chanced a swipe with her hunting knife, only to have it nearly ripped from her fingers. Swearing cheerfully, she returned to her slow progress of hacking at the demon with the borrowed weapon.

The Wind, that was before carrying the Smoke and ash from Sachi's power, now enveloped the Demon, which would cause it to become Distracted, and Disoriented. "Sachi! Focus your power into one blast, and wipe him out! That smoke-screen won't keep him busy for long. "He said, crouching.
