I'm a little afraid if I get too involved in that scene I'll never have time or money for my other hobbies. I've seen it happen to friends before and it's definitely something I'd like to avoid. XD I may never get in to going to fairs and making more elaborate costumes, but I had fun putting this together even just for Halloween.

Yes, but can you imagine how long making the costume would be? If I don't piece something together, I generally make my own costumes from scratch to save money. I know for a fact I'd get carried away and spend all year on some really elaborate costume and suddenly I'd have no life...

lol I have a few dresses and that cloak, so I just wear that every year.... I spend my money on weapons and art generally

I know the weapons are generally exceptional, but how's the art? Obviously it would differ from place to place and with the artist, but overall what kind of art is sold?

oh there's a huge variety, I have quite a few sketches, paintings and tapestries, mostly of a fantasy persuasion XD

Oh my goodness, do people really put the time and effort into making tapestries to sell? That sounds absolutely fantastic. Not that I ever have a place to put such things when I want them, but I'd definitely like to see some of this in person!

I don't know if they made them or just resold them, most of them are just printed on, not like needle work or anything

Yes, indeed it is. Here's to hoping I can find a fair to go to, now. I can't say I'm entirely sure that I'll find one around here or that I'll be able to go in the near future. Maybe if I can find one out where I'm moving to this summer it will give me something more to look forward to. (Not that I really need anything more to look forward to than I already have.)

Yes, I am. c: The state I'm currently residing in (or at least the area) doesn't seem to be too friendly to things like this though. I'm not too worried about finding one right where I am for the time being. I'm moving some time this summer if everything goes right and I'll probably be able to hunt one or two down in my new location.

Yep. I'm gonna be moving to the Vancouver/Portland area I think. All my friends are in Oregon or Southwestern Washington and I'm insanely jealous of all the fun things they have to do there.

Had to stuff it so that it looked fleshed out and it wasn't cool by any means. I was sweating balls in that thing, like dripping down my face.

lol yeah well I didn't exactly even do that because I was to busy goofing around all day, so by the time I got home I was so tired and felt like I had to puke, but I pounded back the water then went out to the country to take my nephew trick or treating.

Hahaha just some ofthe parts like the shoulders ad the stomach a bit to make sure it was rounded out enough or it would have been one saggy gorilla. The costume itself is a male 1 size fits all type, so they generally make those bigger. I'm definitely not smaller than the average bear I'm more on the chubby side but even so with guys costumes too big. haha.
