I saw a fabulous couple dressed as the 11th Doctor and Riversong. Done right, sonic screwdriver, bowtie and all! So much fun =^_^= I also saw a number of Romans but my first thought was always "Hey! They're dressed like Rory!"
I didn't see any Who costumes. It made me a little sad. I am working on mine for next year and I think it will have to be the Tom Baker who- the scarf is just so iconic. Though, so is a fez, bow tie and mop.
Ooh I have wi-fi on the plane! So thought I'd drop by. Hee at "dressed like rory" :D
I support fez, bowtie and mop (the mop is essential!) though baker's scarf would be very cool too, provided you can get/make a decent one.
And I don't think I could ever pick one favourite incarnation of the doctor, they are all fantastic in their own way and too different to comfortably compare them..
Making the scarf is easy enough. In fact, that would be the easiest part of the Baker Who costume. The coat will be tricky, but if I haunt the goodwill, I should be able to find one at a reasonable price.
I don't think I would have the patience (or attention span) for making a baker scarf :P I started knitting a skirt over three years ago and I'm still maybe halfway through with it..
But it probably wouldn't help me get Doctor Who spoilers, cuz all the cast are sworn to some major secrecy! I seem to remember Matt saying in an interview that he wasn't even allowed to tell his own parents that he'd been cast as the Doctor. :P
