What is wrong Drakina?

Just struggling with chronic depression and post traumatic stress disorder. It's something I've dealt with most of my life and usually I can balance myself out well but sometimes everything just gets the better of me.

post traumatic stress disorder... what happened to you? I don't suppose there is anyway we can help...

I'm an abuse survivor and was in a particularly bad car/motorcycle crash. Like I said though, I've been dealing with it for years so no need to worry, ne? Besides, you all help me just by chatting and role playing with me. ^^ Role-playing is one of my stress-relievers, when I can actually find time and inspiration for a post, that is.

I can understand the role playing part. It is a way I stress relieve too. And if I want to get away from real life for awhile, becoming another person and living in a fantasy for a bit is nice.

Hai, that's exactly what it is, I read books for the same reason. ^^ It's also a great feeling to watch a story play out and know you are a part of it.

Books was my first love. Though now that I can control the stories now through RP takes time I used to devote to them.

Hm... I'd have to say painting was mine, but books are a close second. Hm, that does remind me, I have to get back to work on my novel! Everything has gotten thrown off lately, it seems. Ah, well. How are you doing, Maiden?

You write? Nice! I don't beyond role playing. I need another mind to help carry the story line and to control other personalities. I used to paint, but being overseas, I have no access to my materials. Don't wish to buy more when I know I have some back in storage in the states. Seems like a waste to me.

I'm doing alright. A bit lonely but doing okay. Kinda miss having close friends to hang out with, but there is an upside to this life. I like time by myself and I can now have that too.

Haha, well, I kind of do. I've been writing poetry and lyrics for years but have just recently started a serious attempt at writing a story. Though, I've been working on this story for years in reality. It's the life story of Heiro, he was my first RP character and I have been developing his story for over ten years but I never really wrote it all down.

Ah, perhaps you could get them sent to you? I'm not sure how much that would cost though...

I can understand how you feel. It's great that we have things like Skype now, but it's still not the same as actually being with a person. True, solitude is nice (I prefer it myself), but it's still important to be around people.

We seem to have the same interests. That is really neat. Skype has been a lifesavor. I skype with anyone who is willing to get on, but many of my friends are busy and my family for the most part don't have it and are old-fashioned enough not to get it. Hoping to get my mom to get it someday. It would be cheaper to buy stuff out here than to ship. Shipping overseas is expensive as heck and I rather get food if I get packages :)

That we do. What other things do you like? Perhaps there are even more similarities to be found.

I've only ever used Skype twice, mostly due to the fact that I don't have a camera. Though if I did I'm sure it would take me forever to figure it out, lol. Ah, I agree, food does tend to make you survive longer than paint. ^^
