I listed the acceptable carving materials in the second post. Onion wasn't one of them

NUUUU!!!!! I don't have the tools to carve let alone a pumpkin!!!

Then again, it's NZ, we probably don't do pumpkin carving since it's spring over here......

I have a great idea for this contest. Now to wait for the rain and wind settle a bit so I can go outside to get my white pumpkin.

Turnip challenge accepted~

Why would someone want to brave using an onion? That would be a real tear jerking carving/painting right there.

@musasgal: I don't know. But it's probably the cheapest and least labor intensive. XDDD
Actually maybe they're not that much cheaper than the others. P:

I'd never carved a pumpkin before this and was not aware pumpkin carving kits even existed. My tools of choice were knife and bigger knife. ^^;

Love the entry form title, Biggles!

Going to wait until tonight when they're lit up to snap pics. The daylight ones just don't do them justice.

i carved six pumpkins this year but my camera is busted.

---------- Post added 11-01-2012 at 01:02 PM ----------

i carved a cat face, a bat, three regular jack-o-lanterns, and a creepy looking clown face for my brother.

---------- Post added 11-01-2012 at 01:04 PM ----------

but my favorite part is picking through the guts for the pumkin seeds, so i can bake them.

This was the first year that I carved any pumpkins. I carved three total. One with Yan on it, one with leaves and the other has a witch's hat and spider.

You don't need special tools to carve food. It just helps~
