The Chains That Bind Us
(This is a one on one with Kiyoto and Kat Dakuu. You may read, but do not post.)

Quote:

Name: Damian "Saber" Lycan

Age: Actually 27, but due to Immortality, looks permanently around 21.

Race: Half Human, Half Wolf Demon (Also Known as a Werewolf.)

Power:
~ Digestive Assimilation- He gains energy and at times even new abilities from consuming other creatures/beings. If he only consumes small portions of things specifically for this reason, powers he obtains are temporary, lasting about an hour to five tops. They only become permanent if he consumes the prey's heart.

~ Magic- Through the use of the witch's eye he obtained, he is able to use magic. His most typical and favorite is Ice Magic, but he is capable of learning and using other forms of magic to use at will. The eye itself is now classified as a magical object, it is able to be separated from his body, causing him to lose his ability to channel the magic effectivly (meaning he can still use magic attacks, but he can not control if they come out right). He holds a magical connection to it now however, since it became his eye after taking it from the witch, able to sniff it out wherever it goes. He is also able to still see through it even if it separated from him. The eye itself is immune to magic, raising his natural resistance to magic.

~ Immortality- He is immune to age, as well as his natural immunities are boosted. He still feels the pain of wounds, but his healing abilities go far beyond that of a typical werewolf (regrow limbs, heal all wounds, etc). If his heart is removed from his body, his body becomes unable to heal itself. His heart and the eye will not decay however, forever remaining as they are. He can be ressurected after his body is completely decayed though, by placing the heart back within most of the remains, even if they have become dust (if one arm or such is missing, etc, he can heal it after coming back.). The longer his heart has been separated from his body though, the longer it takes life to come back to him and for his body to heal to full capacity.

~ Beastmaster- He is able to speak with all living animals, as well as to get them to do as he pleases. He is able to, if needed, call them to him from the surrounding area through his howl which has been nicknamed the "Call of the Wild". He finds it easiest to communicate with and control canine breeds, finding feline the most difficult.

Weaponry: He prefers fighting with his own natural weapons, but he also will use whatever is available around him as a weapon. The magic eye in some areas is refered to as a weapon, even though it is now a part of him.

Bio: Damian had always heard the stories of wolf demons growing up, especially of the curse that brought about werewolves. Full blooded wolf demons permanently stay within a manwolf form. They were plenty long ago, inhabiting forests and jungles within both demonic and human areas. They were ferral beings, living off of the land and their animal instincts, until a witch grew angry with them upon her land, killing, coming and going as they pleased. She placed a powerful curse upon the race, forcing them to on the night of the full moon once a month becoming human for that day and night, until the moon was full no more. During this time, many wolves went into a sort of hybernation, to protect themselves and hide out from their enemies until the cursed day had passed each month. Others boldly took this day as a chance to get closer to humans and the like without being revealed for what they were. One such wolf was by the name of Neo Lycan, who had developed a curiosity of the human race. His mother made sure to always tell him what a good man his father was, how he had protected both of them against the pack, even though it ment becoming an enemy of it himself. She wanted him to see being of demon decent was nothing to be ashamed of or afraid of.

The few wolf demon and human decendents who survived took on many characteristics of their ancestors. They took on a wolfman like form similar to their ancestors, though the curse seemed to take a reverse effect on their bodies since they were of human decent already and able to live among them with little trouble. The curse took the form of forcing the hybrids on the full moon to take on the form of their wolf heratige. Many could not control the raw instincts and such that came during this time, which often led to them going on a ferral rampage, ending in many of the rumors and stories about werewolves. He was never afraid of what he was, learning from a young age to call upon the traits that had become typical of a werewolf and wolf demons alike. By the age of thirteen, he became able to call upon the full form of his wolf side that would have only been possible on the full moon. He was not like others, showing power greater then those typical of his kind. The pack caught wind of him, fearing he might become a threat and hunted him to his home. In a fight, his mother was killed and he was badly injured, resulting in the loss of his own left eye and a jagged scar of three claw marks on his back. He escaped from the fight angered by his own weakness and inability to help his mother.

He sought to gain more power, to protect himself and others when needed. He discovered an odd ability within himself, that he guessed must have come from his father, the ability to gain power and such from the prey that he ate. He had remembered the stories of the witch, deciding to pay her a visit. He trained himself, at the age of fifteen he took her on. No one knows for sure how he did it, but he managed to overpower him. After killing her, he took possession of her left eye, replacing it with his own after eating it. This gained him powers within magic. This introduction of magic into his natural blood stream, had a powerful effect on his overall being. Over the next year, his power grew and he began learning how to use it. Afraid of his power and what he was becoming, he was sought out and hunted down by a powerful group of priests. They used powerful holy arts to imprison him within a jail, placing bandages around his eyes that blocked his magic. For fear of him breaking out and the threat he was, many wanted him killed. Due to their ways however, killing him was deemed as wrong and an easy way out for him. He has spent time there since he was sixteen, to the age of twenty six. His body unaging and undying, many of the guards in charge of looking after him tried to torture him by witholding food and taunting him. He sat there in his cage, silent most of the time. No one knows for sure what happened, but on the full moon one night, he escaped from the prison.

When asked, he typically says the rats there helped him, they were his only friends within the hell he lived in. Damian is not the sharpest tool in the shed as described by many who have met him. He is a tad slow and naive, dispite his age. He is often refered to as a man of more brawn then brain, but he shows signs of being incredibly smart and cunning when he wishes to be. He has a more ferral side, being a werewolf, often in fights he will let this side take over to destroy his enemies. He has a bit of a goofy side, enjoying games and puzzles. He likes cute and innocent things, often becoming enraged when they are harmed or destroyed, especially for ammusment. He can also be seen as a bit lazy, enjoying relaxing and such when he can. He is incredibly determined however, strong willed and hearted. He is a very hard worker when he desires to be, though his time in prison has casued him to become a bit more naturally calmer and docile, teacing him to keep his power and anger in check. He typically is kind and gentle, dispite his size and what he is, unless angered or threatened. He is somewhat of a pacifist now, often attempting to deal with issues outside of fighting if it can be. He is more than capable of standing on his own and taking care of himself, but he is loyal and faithful, protecting those he cares about with everything he's got.

He escaped from the prison, coming to the city to hide out. Many were afraid of him, hearing the stories of him. He was outcasted by many. By others he has been hunted, wanting to put him back behind bars and even more calls for wanting him dead. There is a large bounty on his head, making him one of the most wanted beings known between worlds. He desires his own freedom, a life of his own. He has his issues with both demons and humans, often at first untrusting of others until they prove themselves. He can be a tad cold and dark when he wants to be, as well as mysterious and aloof. He tends to get lost in though and even daydream. He is clostrophobic, not doing well at all with small, dark, enclosed places for long, especially if there is any bars involved. He is more nocturnal, but can be active during the day if need be. He has a tattoo of an eye like entity on his right shoulder as well.

Name: Adair Torgeir
Age: 24
Species: Human
Powers: Due to an infected wound, his blood was tainted and now some tiger traits are seeping into him due to the demon that gave him the wound. He had little control over the more chaotic nature of his infected blood, but so far it has only spread through his right arm. The blood makes him stronger where the blood has spread so far and he’s developed cat-like agility, speed, and heightened senses. He has a special talent for sniffing out other tainted blood or anything demonic.

Other than that, from a very young age, he’s had an affinity for language and speaks many. It’s something he picks up with very little effort. Whether it is magic or natural skill, he does not know or care.

Weapons: He fights mostly with small blades like this because he likes the feel of an up close fight. He has a decent arsenal of many things though because he’s not as physically strong. He always has a few knives on him at any given time and he has an old fashioned pistol for long range needs.

Bio: Adair was never the one to just sit and twiddle his thumbs. Even from a very young age he has had a need to explore, train, be a stronger, person. He grew up with his mostly absent father and a younger brother whom he felt was his sole responsibility to protect in a town of little money and high amounts of crime. Being tough was just a side effect of his life. He excelled at it. Even enjoyed it.

When he was twelve though, his blatant flaunting of his skill got him into trouble. Some low lives from the town got together in order to rid themselves of the child pest who stole from and terrorized them. Adair was off stealing elsewhere though and not at home. The low life thugs found his father and brother there and killed the boy with no protection from his father. Filled with a need for revenge, Adair tracked the thugs down and murdered them--his first kills.

He spent the rest of his life from there perfecting the art of killing and ridding the world of criminals. That’s why he became a bounty hunter. The money he gets from his jobs only goes to food and more training and weapons.

One particular bounty hunt went sour when the prey transformed into some sort of best and clawed Adair in the arm. The bounty had already been injured and some of their blood mingled. It took weeks for Adair to notice the difference that the wound caused and he told only one gypsy woman in order to learn where the strange energy in him was coming from. Other than that, he told no one about the tainted blood and continued searching for bounties.

Appearance:

Except he’s a little trimmer being built for speed. He’s fairly tall and he has his brother’s name (Lor) tattooed under his left eye. His right arm is more muscular and black stripes are starting to appear around it. The jagged tears in his skin never fully healed and he usually keeps the wound wrapped up in bandages.

Damian "Saber" Lycan

"Man, just my luck" pausing for a moment, the wolf man rubbed the back of his neck. He glanced around himself at his current perdicament and decided....he had absolutly NO idea where he was. When it came to directions, unless he was following his nose, he was horrible. He didn't even know where to begin, let alone where to go. Sighing slightly, he closed his eyes and turned his head up towards the sky. "What a pain" he groaned. He had fought to get here, now that he was, he was completely lost. If he didn't move soon though, someone was bound to recognize him, maybe even turn him in or try to attack him. He really didn't want a fight right now.

The forest was alive around him, being close to a rhoad there were people milling about and talking to one another. He was a bit hungry, which caused his stomach to growl. Placing a hand over it, he sighed once more. "Been runnin all night with no food" he glanced over at a food truck that had stopped not far away. He had no money at all, not even a place to put it really even if he did. He gave a slightly sour look. He could always just take it, it wasn't like anyone could stop him...right? Ugh..He ran a hand over his face. That was what got him in jail in the first place. His hand moved to the bandages that currently covered the right part of his face and his eye.

They hid the magic eye benieth, including its energy that it gave off. He looked at a few of the people around this rhoad he had stumbled upon. Glancing towards the buildings up the rhoad itself, he guessed he had stumbled across the barrier at some point into the human world. He himself was from the demonic world that lived mirror to this one. The woods behind him were sort of one of the soft spots in the world, where the line between the two was thin. It was home to many wolf demons long ago, though on his way here he had not smelled or seen any. Had he really been gone that long? Time seemed to pass faster and develop more in the human world then it did in his.

That was fine, for now he couldn't go home anyways. Guess the chances of anyone recognizing him here had to be pretty slim then huh? He smiled a bit, good, he could relax a bit then. He stepped up closer to the rhoad as the truck drove off. Sniffing the air a bit, the remnants of food made him feel even hungrier. There had to be some way to get some food, though he had to make sure he was careful. He couldn't risk becoming wanted in both worlds. He ran a hand through his hair, looking up the rhoad once more towards human civilization. His mother had been from this world....His father a demon. He was half blooded wolf demon, which translated to what the humans called a Werewolf...able to shift between the forms of man and wolfman, where as wolf demons were permanently wolfmen.

He had met a few variations in his life, though none were pure like his father's race. He wondered what his father or mother would think of him now? Odd thought hmm? He closed his eyes, enjoying a breeze that flowed through the trees around him at that moment. He had been imprisoned in the demon world for not really a crime, but for the power he held and they feared. People were worried he would keep growing in power and killing unless he was stopped. He looked at his hand. Was he really a monster? A killer and a beast like they thought? "Hmpf....No one decides who or what I am, but me" with that, he slowly began heading in the direction of the city.

Adair jumped agilely from the roof of a low lying building to the ground below. His boots made a thump on the pavement, but there was no one in the alley to hear it. He glanced left and right, but the alley truly was empty. "Damn, I lost him," Adair muttered before jabbing his weapon back into its holder on his leather belt. He dragged a hand through his dirty mess of red hair and let out a sigh as he dropped back against the wall behind him.

Lately, all he did was lose his prey. Maybe he'd gotten too cocky. This city was another world though. He'd been hunting here for the last year and sometimes the bounty he was chasing turned out to be something unexpected. There were rumors about this place and the forest that sat outside of the city, the sort of rumors that involved demonic beings that lived inside every shadow, behind every false grin, and Adair was just well enough acquainted with that sort of beast to believe they were out there. He'd slashed his blades through many of those kind in the past. His hand jumped to his bandaged right arm out of reflex. Even if the wound never hurt anymore, he never forgot it was there.

The afternoon sun was brutal and Adair ducked his head, shoving past people on the street in order to avoid it. His skin may have been dark and used to the sun, but his eyes were sensitive to the light. He preferred half light, but the job often required him to be awake during the day when he had easy access to his marks. Besides, he had five different slips of paper with mark information stuffed into his back pants pocket. If he lost one mark, he would just move onto another. He needed the money so he could buy a damn decent steak for once.

Adair was absorbed in looking through his mark information when he suddenly stopped walking. His brow furrowed and he looked off toward the forest. He could feel an unusually strong demonic energy making its way toward the city. Instantly, he dropped back into hunter mode and put away his papers, keeping his hands near his weapons as he moved to the edges of the street where he could watch without being seen as readily. He walked quickly toward the source of the energy he was feeling.

Soon, he caught sight of a large man just entering the city. He had a familiar look and Adair guessed there was probably a bounty out of him, but he couldn't recollect anything specific as it was probably an old bounty he had seen. Without much sense of what would be a smart decision, he stepped out in front of the man and announced his presence. "Hey you big guy, who are you?"

He reached the city in good time, looking at the people who were milling about in and out of buildings and on the street. He was not sure what was going on, though he didn't need to to merely just get through here. It was an odd place, though he was odd himself in certain terms. He was going to keep moving, when an odd scent reached him. Smelled like human and cat at the same time, odd. Seemed this place just kept getting more and more odd. Looking in front of him, a red haired man had stepped out and spoken to him. The way he looked, he didn't seem to quite fit in here, something seeming to be off about him. Why would he randomly just come up to him? It was not much to think about he should get moving. He reached up to rub the back of his neck a bit. His people skills were lacking after being locked up for so long, though he would try his best. "Someone just passing through" he says.

He stepped around him, moving on down the street. He wondered if the other would follow. He seemed like the stubborn type. Smelling like cat, they were quite the pains in the backside at times. He had known a panther demon before he went into jail, he had been a treasure hunter who had been interested in gold and jewels, which the same witch he had taken the eye from. It had been quite a day indeed. He had come out on top though, still in command of the spoils as well. He smiles a bit to himself, then glanced at himself in the reflection of a window. He really needed to change, walking around, looking like a prisoner was not going to help his cause any. He was barefooted as well at the moment, he must have looked like quite the mess.

Adair narrowed his eyes at the other man, grinding his teeth together in irritation as he walked away with barely a sentence spoken in response to Adair's question. Did this guy think he was too good for conversation or something. He was sure now that this man was some sort of criminal. He looked like he hadn't bought himself new clothes in years and his attitude seemed a bit off. So of course, there was no way Adair was going to let him get away.

He started tagging behind the other man, at first hanging back. But he got bored of that quickly and took a flying jump over a vender truck in order to catch him. He unfolded from the crouch he hand landed in and jumped up in front of the man again. "You are very suspicious. Do you have a bounty on your head, because I'm getting pretty hungry and need some money," Adair asked bluntly. His face was completely serious as he spoke despite the outright gall of his words.

He didn't pause, continuing to push forwards. The other seemed persistant at this. When he moved up in front of him once more he sighed a bit annoyed. It was when he asked about the bounty when the wolf man paused, looking at the other. So, he knew about all that eh? It mattered little, he wasn't going back there. He had just gotten his freedom, he wasn't going to lose it to some little bounty hunter. If he was that concerned for food, he could find another way. He gave a slight growl, "I have no intrest in confrentation, or in standing around her talking with the likes of you" he crossed his arms against his chest a bit, more in annoyance than to look menecing. He turned to pass the man once more, he really needed to find a place to change and settle, though that was not always easy. He was tall and muscular, from training and from natural causes. It was not like he could wear just anything. He had tried that once growing up...tore his shirt in half. He had liked that shirt. He shook his head, now was not the time for that, he was going to need to keep an eye on the little furball back there. If he continued to be a pester, something would have to be done about it before he attracted to much attention to the two.

"Are you going to ignore me, really? After what I just said?!" Adair exclaimed, one hand gripping the handle of one of his blades. He should attack this guy just for being annoying. It might have been a bad choice since he looked pretty strong and there were people around, but he doubted they would care if he started a fight here. It wouldn't be the first time.

He never once let the other man get away from him. This was getting interesting and that made his blood hot and a grin plaster itself on his face. "Who are you? I'm just dying to know strong you are!" If Adair started a fight now, even if he didn't win, it would be a good end to a day. He didn't really care how the fight ended, he just wanted to fight someone worth fighting.

With a sigh, he turned his attention back to the man who seemed to not want to go away. He was like an annoying flea or a fly, bouncing all around and always there. Why did he care so much who he was, other than being an apparent hunter? He sighed, just watching him made the wolf man a bit tired. He needed to start working out again, getting stronger once more. He hadn't had a good fight in years, he had to admit he was rusty. Looking down at the other once more, he crossed his arms. "Damian Lycan...I was also known by Saber I believe" he says, a name more common to a cat demon he would have thought, but it was similar to attempting to say fang or blade so it was alright with him. "Your a hunter right, don't look like much admitadly, though looks are decieving" he nodded a bit to himself at this thought. His hand moved to the back of his neck.

Unless he was how he looked...then would it be worth a fight? He scratched the back of his neck a bit, his thoughts seemed to be contradicting themselves a lot today. He leaned in so they were face to face, looking him in the eyes...well eye, with the bandages covering his other at the moment. "You smell like a cat...why is that?" he had to admit he was a tad curious about him, it had been quite awhile since he had had contact with another being, so it was alright, even if he was a hunter. He wasn't in a rush to get anywhere really, being surrounded by humans no one would really make a move against him. Though at the same time, he couldn't really transform or use his full power with them either. Humans wern't ment to know of his world. He sighed once more, such simple creatures and yet after being in jail, he was upholding this law.

Adair tapped his finger against his chin as he thought. The strange man had finally given his name and he thought it surely sounded interesting. "Wow, I feel like I've heard mention of that name before, but I ain't too sure. Lycan though? That sounds like something I've heard from a myth, so I'm totally right in thinking you're not human right?" he asked. He was ninety percent sure already considering the energy this Damian guy was giving off, but it was always best to ask. Assumptions rarely worked out well in the long run.

He pulled himself up to his full height and dropped his hand back onto his weapon. "I'm sorry what? I don't look like much? Sure I'm not a giant muscle....thing like you, but I'll have you know that I've bagged some very high profile marks in my day!" he snapped. He was definitely going to have to fight this guy even if he turned and walked away now. Adair was like a terrier with a bone when it came to a person that interested him. He was not going to leave this guy alone. He pulled his blade from its holder and jabbed it in Damian's direction in a mostly non-threatening way. He had a tendency to use his weapons as an extension of his hands when it came to expressing himself without words.

"Excuse me, what? I do not smell like a cat!" he growled with a wave of his blade-wielding hand.

The wolf man took another sniff of the man's scent, before standing up once more. "You deffinetly do smell like a cat" he says, "really don't like cats." He paid little attention to the blade really at the moment, not afraid or intimidated by it at all. It seemed though, that this man was not afraid to do whatever in front of the humans. Kinda surprising he hadn't been arrested himself by them. He looked at the blade finally, raising an eyebrow at the way the other seemed to swing it about. Man he was a pain. Sighing, he crossed his arms a bit. A muscle thing? He wasn't a thing...Glancing at his reflection a bit he did have to admit he looked a lot like a walking wall to those who were smaller then him.

He had come to train and grow a lot while he was growing up. He guessed even after prison, he still looked pretty intimidating. He noticed glances from the people passing by. Probrably partially from the guy holding a blade to him but still. He sighed, "what a pain..." He took ahold of the other's wrist, pulling him closer and lifting him a bit off the ground by this movement. "You really are a little cat arn't you....fine....if you can find someplace not so conspicuous...you can have your little attempt" he let him go, passing him once more. He could use the work out anyways, work up an appetite before he went hunting later. He had little else to do but lay low for awhile anyways. Although fighting some bounty hunter seemed like the opposite of that, it was a little entertainment.

Adair was pissed that this guy kept pegging him as a cat. It was really irritating when he didn't even like cats. Maybe he had at some point, he definitely disliked them these days. But even if this guy was irritating, he was having a great time talking with him. When the big guy grabbed him by the wrist, he gasped and smacked him in the arm with his other hand. "Oi, what the hell are you grabbing me for?!" he exclaimed. He could admit that he was being a little overly confrontational himself, but that didn't mean that anyone had the right to go grabbing him as they pleased. When he was released, Adair jumped back a few steps and eyed Damian warily. He made a face somewhere between a scowl and a pout before he straightened back up and started grinning again.

"So you're saying you'll fight me?" he asked. "Yeah baby, I'm gonna kick some ass today! If you're so concerned about being inconspicuous, how about the forest?" He pointed back in the direction of the wooded area where few people spent much time and of course, a place where a quick guy like him would have the advantage in a fight.

He glanced back in the directions of the trees. That was one of the last places he wanted to go actually, even if it would be better for him in a fight. He sighed a bit, the other still jumping about like an hyperactive puppy. He shook his head, it was exhausting. "Stop bouncing around..." he thought for a moment. He knew the forest better than most, it couldn't have changed so much in such an amount of time right? He pondered this for a moment, the jumpy man looked like he was edging towards it for a reason. Speed was good in those kinds of places, but so was the strength and knowledge to use the field to one's surroundings. He might have been out of the game for awhile, but he wasn't an idiot. The other still had no idea what he was dealing with. He smiled a bit, his longer and larger canines present. With a nod he shrugged, "why not, maybe a scruff with you will help get the kinks out kitty" he said rubbing his shoulder a bit.

He was stiff and in need of a good workout to get the power and juices flowing. Why not in the forest then? It was were his ancestors were from and an animal such as himself would feel right at home. The other was a bit cocky, but that would make this a bit more fun. He was looking forward to seeing what this guy was about. He could just feel his inner wolf scratching to get at the surface, wanting to be let out. He couldn't fully let loose, he would be stupid to do so. Having been locked up for so long getting cocky and careless himself would merely mean he would end up back in jail or with his heart separated from his body. He needed to play this cool, and the magic eye hidden under the bandages would let him do just that. Ice was his forte and his favorite. The other seemed intent on this so he would give him what he desired. He turned back towards the trees, walking back the way he had come.

Adair couldn't stop grinning. It seemed his constant pestering had gotten him what he wanted in the end. He put his blade away for now and decided to follow the big guy in relative silence. He focused his thoughts on the upcoming fight instead. He'd had a lot of chasing lately, but not as much man on man fighting. He knew of course that this wouldn't be easy. He was pretty sure he'd lose the fight, but that didn't put any pause in his step. This guy was obviously strong and he was still giving off a funky energy. It was definitely going to be a good fight.

"You don't have to talk like I'm some sort of pre-fight warmup," he muttered finally. The silence was starting to get to him and it made him itchy. He was always restless in total silence. "You'll see, I'm not to be underestimated." It didn't take them long to reach the treeline as they hadn't walked that far in the first place. Adair figured they would go in just far enough to keep the noise of the fight away from curious years and then they could go all out at each other. He certainly wasn't planning on holding back any.

"It dosn't matter what you are really" he said, after they had reached the forest. "Weak or not, I will not allow someone to take me back or to defeat me when I finally got out of there" he turns to look at him, a grin on his face as well now. "Either way, I'm itching for some fun, so lets quit the yapping already" his eyes on the other. Already under the skin, his muscles were rippling and flexing a bit, he wondered if this guy would push him enough to have to take on his wolf form, or if his human form would be enough to do away with him. Would he end him? No, he wasn't here to kill, that would leave him with more blood on his hands and another reason to put him away.

He would merely have a little fun with him. The other wanted a fight, so be it. He was going to have to put up a good one if he was going to cause trouble for the wolf. He knew he should be more cautious or worried, but he could not managed to make himself feel that way. He should have been getting as far away from here as possible, and yet he was right back where he had started. Great, getting this show on the rhoad was a little delayed, though this was fine with him at the moment. He looked at the other, why he smelled like cat he did not know. What he was capable of, he did not know. There was only one way to figure out however, one way to see what the other was all about, he was ready.

They came to a stop some way into the forest and Adair stood a few paces away from the bigger man, watching him. From his words, Adair could deduce that this man had been somewhere else until recently and probably against his will. He didn't care for the details though. He was just here to fight. "I hope you're ready," he called as he pulled out both of his blades and held them up at the ready.

Most fighters wouldn't try to make the first move in a fight like this because it was viewed as rash move, but rash was Adair's specialty. So much could be learned about how a person first defended themself. So without further words or wait, he rushed forward. He was just testing the waters, really. He kept himself light on his feet and aimed for the other man's leg while preparing himself to dodge in any way he needed to. He was already considering the possibility of launching himself into the tree branches above to avoid a punch or kick.

He watched the other, keeping an eye on him as he drew his blades and moved forward. He was not new to fighting, even being out for so long. Giving away what you could do in the begining was a foolish move. The other was aiming for his legs. That was fine. He moved, taking a surprisingly light jump back for his size and weight, landing a few steps back from the male. His face turned to a slight frown as he did, though he said nothing. His attention was on the other, waiting to see if he would back off, or make a follow up move. His ears were strained on the area around them though, listening for anthing that was not natural or a part of this fight. He had no doubt there would be guards out for him now, if they got in the way here, he would have to ditch this little game and focus on them. For now, his attention was on the male and those blades of his. He had not felt pain in awhile and although he knew his little secret advantage, he was not looking forward to being reminded to what being cut or stabbed felt like. That he could do without if he could avoid it. He smiled lightly, his inner wolf coming allert and focused on the other in front of him now.

"You're quicker than you look," Adair said with a smirk. That was fine with him. He preferred an excuse to fight with speed rather than strength. He jabbed one blade up in an arc, already swinging the other one behind it for a double attack. He had a feeling that the attack would be dodged, but he was still just easing his way into the fight. The big guy was smiling too. At least Adair wasn't the only one enjoying this fight. It was something like validating to know he was at least a little bit amusing of an opponent. He was still waiting to see what kind of attack could come his way. This guy wasn't giving away much and Adair was dying to know just how strong of an opponent he was.

Damian continued to move out of the way of the attacks, catching the other's wrist once more. He pulls him close, knowing very well it would make him an easier target. He looked at the other male. "Yer gonna have to do better then that cat.." he said, before releasing him. He lightly bent his head sideways a bit, cracking his neck a little. He proceeded to do the same with his knuckles. He needed to loosen up, so did this other guy. "Stop testin me and fight like you mean it, or this will be over quickly" no more messin around, he was itchin to get this fight kicked up already. Maybe it was the animal inside of him being a bit impatient, but he had to admit, fighting after being locked up and unable to move for so long was making the thought of this seem better and better as the moments passed.

He couldn't stand beating around the bush for to long, in this case, not long at all. The other had said he was fast, he had no idea, but the wolf man hadn't used or tested his speed in awhile as much as his other attributes. This would be an interesting fight. He looked at his oponent, his magic eye was tingling slightly behind the bandages. He could feel his magic within his body. The eye had been taking its time to charge up as well, the bandages from the prison had blocked its magic altogether. Leaving him in darkness without his eyes. Now he could see and the magic was returning. He stood up straight, relaxing his body a bit, his eyes on the other. He stood there for a moment waiting, wondering if he should make a move. He decided that after the next move the other made, he would begin to strike back. He would twist the attack to his advantage, placing one off of it of his own.

Adair wanted to stab the other guy in the arm when he grabbed him again, but there wasn't a chance for it before he was released. Rolling his eyes, he tightened his grip on his blades. So it was obvious that he was just messing around. Oh well, he could get serious. The grin fell off of his face to be replaced by a look of determination. His yellowish eyes were sharp and observant. If Damian wanted a fight, then it was about time he got it. "Message received. But really, you better fight like you mean it too!"

A brief wicked grin danced over his lips before his face set in determination again. Running at full speed, he ran for the big guy in much the same way as the first time, but instead of attacking outright, he dived down and slid behind him before jumping up in a somersault, his attacked aimed at the other man's back. Maybe this time there would be a counterattack aimed this way. Adair was excited to see just how he was going to need to dodge.

The other's mood seemed to shift when he was told about cutting the dancing around. He wanted him to fight like he ment it to hmm? He would regret that. The other came in for another attack, his body tensed, ready for if it would be like before. Instead, the other took a different approach, sliding to get behind him for an attack. Aiming for a weak spot eh? The wolf man smiled, turning to the side a bit in order to miss his blade. He brought his arm back, hand clenched in an attempt to slam it into the other's stomach as the blade was being swung upwards. He was curious to see if the other would dodge or take the attack, his attention was still on the blade, careful to keep an eye on it in case he changed his attack or mind. For a little bit, it was like a slow motion scene, things moving at a slow pace when in reality they were fast. His senses seemed to do this at certain times, he wondered if the other felt such ways at times to. He was getting a tad distracted with his thoughts and he knew it, though he could not help it. They kept coming after so long of only having his thoughts to keep him company.

His blades just missed the other's back, but Adair didn't try to follow through with the attack immediately. He sensed first rather than saw the counterattack, as if the distortion in the air could alert him. There was a tree branch near and he grabbed a hold of it in order to doge the fist. He knew getting hit by something like that wasn't worth it this early in the fight. Injury would only slow him down. He pulled himself up so he was standing on the branch. In the same smooth motion, he pulled a small knife out of his boot and hurled it down at Damian. He had a way of chaining his actions together smoothly like that and he'd only gotten better at that after his arm had been injured. "I hope you're not getting distracted," he called from his place up in the tree.

Damian hadn't even really been paying much attention to the other when he pulled away, his arm hitting nothing but air in the process. He blinked a bit, then looked up at the other in the tree. He threw a knife down at him, which caused his instincts to kick in and for him to take his own move back from the other. This was getting a little bit more paced, but still seemed to be just a game of dancing around. The other made the comment about him losing his focus and he smiled a bit. The other had noticed his bit of distraction eh? He needed to focus more on what was at hand. He rubbed the back of his neck a bit, and nodded. "Can't help it after being held up with only thoughts for so long" he said, his smile never fading from his lips. "Come down from there little kitten and lets continue" he teased a little. The other still smelled like one of those things, even if he swore he was not one. The marks on his arm reminded him a bit of one to, odd, though now was not the time for thoughts again. He pushed them from his head for now, focusing on the task at hand. Fighting this guy, this was what he needed to do and what he would do. His instincts and inner wolf once more setting into motion, the feeling of the animal inside wanting to get out was deffinetly apparent.

Adair's eyes narrowed with anger. "I told you, I'm not a cat! If you call me kitten one more time, I'm going to shove one of my blades somewhere not pretty!" he snapped. The focused and determined look had disappeared from his face by now. Being teased like that made it impossible for him not to react. He growled then shook his head, trying to get it back in the fight. He did not move from the tree. Instead, he squatted down and twirled one of his blades loosely in his hand. "I think I have the advantage up here. After all, I have more knives and a gun." Not that he'd ruin the fun and try to shook the other guy. No, he only had a gun for extreme cases since he hated using such a quick killer. "Why don't you make me come down?" he taunted.

He laughed a bit, the other getting all worked up over a simple term was more than funny. His threats were not very intimidating either, nor was the thought of the knives or the gun. He crossed his arms, leaning back against the tree behind him. "What fun would that be, wern't you the one who was looking for this little fight to begin with?" he looked him square in the eyes adding, "kitty." He smiled, a nickname that suited the other well, he was not going to live it down, weather he liked it or not. The added bonus of seeing the other squirm due to it was just making it better and more fun. He kept his eyes on the other, his gaze challenging and confident though not cocky. He was just waiting for the other to make a bold or brash move, the advantage would be his.

Getting him off guard or to make a mistake would turn this little squabble in his favor with ease. "If you are to intimidated for a close fight, you can stay up in that tree as long as you like, your more of a kitty that way anyways, hiding up there scared of the big bad wolf" he laughed, giving a wave of his hand before turning away from him. He began to walk back towards the city, though this was merely a ruse. Calling the other that which he hated as well as aking like he was not worth his time or as if he was afraid, was hopefully a push in the right direction and what he needed to get his attention. He whistled lightly, adding to the effect of him not seeing the other as a threat, or caring less about him and his little cat in a tree act. He chuckled to himself, the other really did make him think of a cat, more than just his smell.
