Appearance
Cassius stands at a tall six foot four inches. His body is broad and well matured for his age. Lean and lengthy, muscle creating defined curves to his body. He has short black hair and deep smokey gray eyes, that at times turn an animalistic yellow. Despite his natural color being black, Cassius can often be found changing colors on a whim. His skin looks fair in nature, coming off as flawless and almost porcelain. He has been told he looks more like a god or unreal in nature due to the physical perfection he is.

Personality
Cassius is a bold personality. He is forward and direct, saying what is on his mind without hesitation. He is very playful in nature, one who loves a good game of cat and mouse with anyone who peeks his interest. One who loves both men and women, is is not shy about his sexuality. He has little trouble flirting, or using what he has 'asset' wise in many cases. He loves a good challenge, more of the type to hit on those who will give him a bit of a run, rather than those who will simply swoon and give him what he wants.

That's not to say that he wont use others affection and desire for him to his advantage at times if he needs to. He is very charming and carismatic, knowing how to talk his way through any situation. He is commented to have his own unique flare in his mannerisms, he is comfortable in his own body and being, seeing no point in hiding that. Cassius loves to party, often one to throw large and extravagent ones. He loves a good strong drink, as well as a spicy meal.

He is the type who dislikes taking much bull outside of a friendly setting. Those who get on his nerves, are quickly met with a more spicy version of him as well. It is not simply that he turns dark, but a definite icy edge picks up around him. He becomes more 'flexable' with the kindness of his magic. He is quick witted and tongued, tying back into his forward and direct ways. He is always one to enjoy a good word game with another, as well as a good solid conversation. He has been called flamboyant at times, though he is not overly girly in nature. Though comfortable with his sexuality, he is capable of being the dominant one wearing the pants in the conversation or relationship.

Flip side to that, he is also comfortable being the one on the recieving end in them as well. Despite his edgy nature, he is really a kind and generous man at heart. He does enjoy playing with people, tugging at their strings a lot, but he knows when to pull back. He is fiercely loyal and faithful to those he cares for, willingly putting himself in danger of death only for them. He does not mind assisting others, though some of the time it comes with an ulterior motive. He enjoys making deals, though far less dark in nature than the head family. Most of his deals include something to either tease the other, or that will please them both.

He is not one to outright take advantage of someone though, nor is he the type to ask another to take a life. He has a certain way of presenting himself around people, he is always composed and in control of himself. He enjoys the way others see him as a god, or something higher. It is most of the time only behind closed doors with his partner, or with his most trusted friends, that he lets down his guard and relaxes truly. Though he is one for a strong drink, or even stronger love, this flip side changes him. Within it, he is the type to enjoy sitting back with a nice simple glass of wine and a good book.

Away from the noise and flashing lights that he craves and the crowds. This often leads there to be two separate sides to his life that he keeps separate and almost secret from the other. This leads to people being shocked to find out he has a warmer side. He loves bold colors in his bolder style, reds, blues, greens and more. One darker color that makes him happy, is black, especially his black cloak coat. He is not much for a sweet tooth, though he does have a love of cheesecake, which is an odd weakness for his personality. He can be a bit of a mystery, not giving all of himself away. He has many surprises up his sleeves.

Cassius though a party boy in many ways, has a natural born leader side of himself. He has little trouble with taking charge and leading. As the Order's leader, it is his place to take care of most of the hard hitting business that comes with it. He can be a bit of a procrastinate at times, often seeming more aloof and put off by the thought of serious work. However, he understands that it must be done, and that many lives depend on him to do his work. He takes pride in his position, the name he has made for himself and what he has done in the name of helping others and protecting the original dream. He is a quick study, able to think on his feet and react in situations as needed. He is always evolving, and loves seeing how the world around him does as well.

Powers/Abilities
Being a worlock, Cassius possesses the power of magic, to which he is able to use in a variety of ways. He is familiar with both light and dark magic, as well as necromancy magic. Though he prefers not to mess with it. He also possesses the powers of a werewolf. He is most powerful when in full wolf form, but in human form he is able to still use a variety of werewolf powers. Such as, the ability of super strength, though not as strong as in full wolf mode. He is also in human form, able to use his heightened senses, speed, durability and more. Though as with his strength, their not as powerful in human form as in wolf form. Cassius is also immortal. This means a few things. He will never age, after reaching his prime in his twenties, his body remains as such. He also has a high resistance to many sicknesses and poisons through his time in the world. Basically, he will never die if left alone, but he can die from physical wounds.

Meaning if his heart is damaged beyond repair, or if he is met with a wound he can not heal, yes he will die. He is able to hold his own in hand to hand fights, though he prefers to avoid such barbaric fighting if he can. He also has a high tolerance to alcohol and many drugs. He has been around for quite some time and being a lover of parties, he has done his fair share of experimenting. He also is an avid musician, able to play a variety of instruments. His favorite is the piano, a composer of sorts. A hidden talent of his, is that he is also quite a good singer, at times gracing his club with his voice. Cassius has many odd and different talents, that he have developed over the years of his life. He is prides himself in being able to adapt and grow, being able to learn new things quickly and efficiently.

Cassius has a fail safe ability. When harmed mortally to the point where he looses consciousness and is unable to defend himself, his magic takes effect. He is surrounded by a powerful magical shield that keeps everyone out, in order to let his healing and healing magic take effect. A large drawback to this, is while it keeps all out, it keeps out both bad and good. This means, it keeps out potentially those who are trying to help him as well, until he regains conscious enough to drop the shield himself. The only other way it will drop, is if the wound gets the better of him and he is either very close to death, or has already passed. Cassius also has an ability that few know of. He is mentally and physically in tune with the supernatural and magical energies of the world. He is able to keep it in check for the most part, but there are times when he is unable to simply brush it off, such as when he lets his guard down or during sleep.

This connection, allows him the abilities of being able to sense the species of others. Meaning he can tell if someone is a wolf, vampire, etc. He can also feel a relative extent to their power. Meaning he can tell if their very powerful, or not so much. He is also able to in a sense tell the intent behind other's emotions and energies. A sort of empathy. He can sense when there is ill intent or danger, when trouble is coming and more. He can tell for the most part how another is feeling due to the energies around them. He is also in a sense a conduit for the energy. Meaning it is attracted to him. It flows through him, feeding him with enough of it at times like when he lets his guard down, leads to the manifestation of actual images or 'visions' of events to come or that are and have happening or happened. He is able to meditate, which allows him to tap in fully to this ability. A draw back, is while he is meditating, he is completely in tune with the energies. This leaves his physical body vulnerable and open to attack.

His werewolf form stands at well over eight feet tall. It's coloring is referred to as more of that of a husky, with a white underbelly and a black back and markings on his face and tail. This is more due to the fact of the presence of both good and evil within him. The white coloring reminiscent of the light while the black of the dark. He also has a series of magical markings, such as the ones upon his face, that glow upon his fur. They are thought to be related to his energy, as well as the magical and supernatural energies that he is in tune with. In this form, if he is killed, the glow from the markings will go out.

Weapons/Equipment
Cassius does not carry any weapons with him. He is more appalled by them for the most part, finding many of them barberic. He really has little on his physical being at times, since he is able to summon what he needs through his magic. The one thing he is never without however, is a blue orb It is about the size of a baseball, and it is often questioned why he has it.

Biography
Cassius has been around for quite some time. As a result, he has seen many things within the world. His exact origins are a mystery, no one really knows much about his early years. He does at times enjoy telling stories about his older days, but his very early times are a conversation better left off limits. It is known, that Cassius was an aprintace to a powerful worlock during his early years. He learned the trades of both light and dark magic. He was gifted from a young age as well, able to learn complicated spells that took years to master in days. It was not hard to see that he was destined for something more.

As he grew, he saw much of the problems that plagued the world. War, famine, genocide and more were happening over the years. He saw kings taken down, others rise to power, and the rise of the supernatural. Cassius was around when the humans began to learn about the supernatural creatures that romed the world around them. Many saw them simply as a threat, and proceeded to treat them as such. They sought to end them, to get rid of them, before they could do any damage. Cassius was among those who sought peace, a path that led to both worlds being able to live in harmony.

As a result, a friend of his decided to step up and begin creating a haven for those of the supernatural world. When Cassius inquired about what the man would name this heaven of his, he was me with the name 'Lazrus'. Cassius believed in his friend, in the vision that he saw. As such, it was placed in the hands of this man and his family to lead the new world. Cassius stood by him as an advisor, as a friend as well. When locations were divid up, Cassius was the only one not of the family's blood to be given his own domain. For years, life was good. It was not perfect, there were incidents happening around the world. Both supernatural and human beings often crossed.

Though as time passed, the supernatural world faded more and more into the background, which is what the head family desired. They were no longer hunted and sought to die. As the years began to pass, his friend and head of the family felt the effects of the time. Being a man of magic, Cassius himself felt the effects of immortality. He did not age past his prime, always remaining handsome and young. His friend would often tease him about such, telling him he would be sought after through the years by many suitors easily. Cassius had never had the guts to tell him, but the one he was in love with for the first real time, was in fact this friend.

When the other finally passed, Cassius was the one who held respective services for him. Cassius remained friends with many of the other members of the family. However, he began to notice trouble when the matriarch was gone. Those who had control, sought to change things. They wanted to expand their territory, to change borders, some even began to want to change the roll that the supernatural world played in the human one. As the original member faded away, others rose to take their place. Lazrus spread out to have hold in many countries of the world. The main hub remained within the central city of New York.

Over time, the members of the family began to think of themselves as higher than those around them. This caused them to become more and more unhappy with the fact that someone outside of the family had power and territory. This caused them to try and out Cassius. He felt more and more that they were disrespecting what Lazrus was originally meant to be. Thus, in the late eighteen hundreds, he severed ties with the family completely. He began to use his own power and reign in order to continue the haven that the original creator had desired.

The matriarch that was currently in power at that time became furious, he took it as an act of discrace and war. As a result, he sought to have Cassius killed. He hired an assassin, a werewolf. Cassius was asked to meet a lover of his at the time for a date, only to come in on a gruesome scene of the other brutally malled and killed. He became furious, when the assassin attacked him. A battle errupted between the two, one that caused Cassius to release a darker side of himself. The lover had been a good friend, one that he had become close to and that he suspected was any day about to propose marriage between the two of them.

He had watched many in his life come and go, due to his immortality, which seeing the one he was with murdered brought to a head. Cassius was injured badly during the fight, including being bittin. He managed to make it home, the wolf who had attacked him killed. It took him days to recover, flickering back and forth between life and death. His will and heart managed to allow him to live. He cursed himself, angry for allowing himself to become so soft and vulnerable at the time. He began working with his magic once more, and as he became aware of the extent of the damage done by the bite, he became skilled in his new wolf power as well.

He took the attack, making himself stronger in turn. This only succeeded in infuriating the monarch at the time, who labeled him an enemy of the family. It was forbidden to interact with him, doing so would be considered an act against the family. This did not stop many though. They continued to live in his territory, continued to enjoy his parties and his care. He became over time of a group called the Order, a group who believed in the original values of the Lazrus. Many seek him out for help, especially if the head family is concerned. He is the biggest threat to the family, and it is rumored that he is leading the beginnings of a rebellion against them.

Extra
He has a love of the unique, bold and passionate. He is constantly showing this through creating his own clothes and accessories. He will at times create something for someone who catches his eye.

Tage Nordskov

Age: 31

Appearance: He's slightly built and stands 5'11" with average skin tone. Despite his age, he appears no older than 25. His hair is a steely blue that fades to silver blue at the tips. It's shaggy and slightly long, bits of it clinging to his neck and forehead. His eyes are a much brighter shade of blue. On the back of his left calf is an old scar from before he created the pack. No one knows how he got it. Nor does anyone know the story of his dog tags. He always wears them, but with the name side turned toward his chest. In truth, they are blank and serve a symbolic purpose to him. His favorite jacket is a dark charcoal grey with light grey fur around the hood. He will pair this with a shirt in human public, but often just the jacket and dogtags around his home in the mountains. Pants tend to be dark in color, either jeans or black.

wolf: His wolf form is decently large as far as wolves go with white and silvery-grey fur. His eyes remain blue and the scar is still prominent where the fur doesn't grow over it. The tips of his ears are an odd dark grey, almost blueish in color.

Personality: He's only an alpha in public. He can take that role easily and his pack knows him as an alpha worth following. He's considerate, but in control. If he wants something, he chases it or encourages others to do his bidding. When alone though, he'd prefer not to order anyone. He's surprisingly good at following and quiet and introspective by nature. His confidence can be lacking which leads him to questioning his decisions only to himself.

Prone to long walks, he ends up working through his anxieties where no one can see. He likes the rain, gentle people, and hate surprises. This is always buried deep though. As a wolf, his dominant side is more prominent. As a human when he's away from his pack, he backs down just to give himself some relief.

Otherwise, he can be playful and enjoys teasing people. He treats the pups like his own children and looks after his pack with the true strength of a wolf. Hurting one of them is the only way to bring out his temper and instigate violence from him. He will do anything in his power to understand a curious individual.

Cassius lifted the glass to his lips. Taking a sip of the dark amber liquid, he enjoyed the slight sting of it on his tongue. He sat it back on the table, a slight clink came from the ice as it tapped the edge of the glass. He was currently sitting within his office, a warm dark wooded room, a fire going within the fireplace. Here, the music went unheard for the moment. It was not everyday that he chose to pull back from the lime light and party scene that he enjoyed so much. Lately, he had been getting the odd vibe that something else was going on. As to what it was, he did not know for the moment. He had thought of meditating on it, but letting his guard down for to long was just what his enemies wanted.

He stood, moving to the window within the room. Outside, the mid day sun hung within the air. New York was quite the state, his territory laying at the edge of it on the portion known as Long Island. He had been around for quite some time, this place his home for quite some time as well. He glanced down at the people on the street. They could look up, but they would not see anything. The building was cloaked with magic. Unless you knew where to look or had supernatural blood, no one would find this place. Cassius felt a slight smirk tug at the corner of his mouth. He knew the underworld of this place, knew it was teeming with exotic life beyond the normal kind.

He turned away from the window, lifting his cloak from the back of a chair nearby. He slipped it on, walking over to the door. He had all he could need here, but that did not mean he did not like going out on the town. He headed down to the main club, before heading out onto the main street. The club was still active even now, but it was moreso at night. For now, others could handle it, he needed to find out what this itch of his was. Odd enough calling it that, but that was in a sense what it felt like. A creeping tug at him, pulling him on to this unseen force. He could not help being a man of curiosity at times. He did not have a fear about what would happen going out on his own.

He could handle himself against those who might want him harmed. For the most part. He was a man of magic, much of which he knew how to use.It also didn't hurt that he was part werewolf now as well. It had been something that had happened long ago, but the two parts of him made him one hell of a force to reckon with. Not one anyone would want to piss off or take on lightly. He headed to a cafe, getting a table out within the sun. He slipped into a seat at the table, glancing over the menu for a moment. He ordered a cup of tea, before handing the menu back to the waitress. He glanced around the street for a moment, no one really perking his interest. However, he still had the feeling, the tug that something was going on. As to what that was, perhaps being here would allow him to find out.

There was one in his territory that smelled different. Tage lifted his head toward the air, inspecting each odor carried on the breeze. Blueish grey hair fluttered about his neck, the silvery tips giving it an appearance like winter rain. With his heightened senses, even outside the city, he could pick this scent up. It'd been around for some time. The pack wanted to leave it alone, but he was alpha and he found the scent interesting. Wolf yes, but so much more than that. Today, he decided he had enough of watching and inspecting. Today, he would go meet this wolfish man.

Dropping down, he shifted into his full wolf form before setting off down the rocky ledge he sat on and toward the city that opened up below him. The Appalachian pack ran almost twenty strong with territory ranging along the mountains and down south, including New York City, their most prized victory. These days, werewolves packed large and fewer in between. Everything weak got weeded out centuries ago, killed by competition or humans. His pack was neither the largest or smallest out there, which was exactly how Tage planned to keep it. Still, the existence of this other magical being nearby could be a threat or a boon. Best to get things straight early on.

Once he neared the highways, Tage ran a while as a wolf until the presence of civilization became too strong. There he shifted to his human form once again. His brown jeans and grey furred jacket reappeared as well, accented by the weight of his dog tags. By then, the sun was high in the sky, but it didn't take long to run into the city even in his human form. The scent he followed stood out no matter how many smothered the city's air. Tage followed it right to a cafe on Long Island where he stood on the other side of the street for a second. The other man looked as interesting as he smelled.

Finally, he strode between the cars and right to the other's table. He wore an air of command that felt natural and yet not in this human form. "I've been looking for you," he stated before continuing after a pause. "...Werewolf."

He had been focusing on his phone for the moment. Even now, some messages were coming in from people he dealt with. He did not mind it, it gave him something to look at, while his mind was on something else. The scent that was getting closer and closer to his current location. Among the people within the state, within the world, he was aware of the supernatural. He was one of the supernatural himself after all. The one he was sensing now, was that of a werewolf. He had been confronted at times from some stray wolves, or others looking to come into this area. Most of New York belonged to others, but Long Island was his. It was a haven, protected by him. It was not unusual really to have wolves wishing to move in and take it from him. He was not seen as an alpha by many, but he was exactly that to others.

He had a makeshift pack, but he didn't specifically point himself out as an alpha. He was much happier being himself. What that was: a worlock, werewolf, club owning, business man, and more. He chuckled a bit to himself, before the scent got to close to ignore. It was across the street now, so close to him. Moments later, it was next to him. A tangible body belonging to the scent stood next to the table. He glanced up from his phone, at the voice that spoke to him. A man stood there, he was quite bold right off the bat as well. Telling him he had been looking for him, going so far as to call him werewolf in public. He watched the other for a moment, silently. He took in the appearance of the man, his hair, his eyes.

Cassius was known as a man of passion in many ways. He had been called a man of love as well at times. He was not picky, enjoying the company of men and women. His time on this world had been long, he had gotten plenty of time to experiment and have fun. Even now, he enjoyed pushing his limits and learning more. He had to admit, the man before him was not hard on the eyes at all. The boldness right off the bat was quite amusing as well. The other clearly gave off the air and scent of an alpha. So, the question then came to what he was here for. Why had he been looking for him? Cassius took a breath, sitting his phone down upon the table. He sat back within his chair, his eyes remaining upon the other before him.

"Well now..." he reached a hand up, brushing a bit of hair out of his face. "Seems you found me, wolf boy" he said, giving away that he clearly knew what the other was as well. He also knew his tone and playfulness would be a bit of a tug on that alpha side. Many would get pissed at another wolf being so coy and teasing. Even those of other packs often knew who the higher ups were and who to show respect to. Then again, there were those who chose to bluntly ignore the whole monarchy thing. They wanted the power themselves, or just wanted to seem badass. Whatever the reason was, his was merely for the fun of it. People needed to earn his trust, his respect. Not simply get it because of the title they thought they deserved. Even then though, Cassius was just a playful man at heart.

Tage's face twitched ever so slightly at the other man's tease. Boy? Despite his face, he was nothing of the sort. And yet, he got the feeling the other wolf was older. From the start, Tage knew from his scent that he was far more than just wolf. Not bothering to ask, he took a seat at the table, crossing his legs with a sort of prim, but commanding grace. It felt so natural to fall into those kinds of movements. He never would have become alpha otherwise, even if it seemed contrary to parts of his nature. Didn't everyone have contradictions though?

After regarding the other man for a second, Tage spoke. "I speak for the northeastern branch of the Appalachian pack. We are aware you've started something of a pack here on the island, on the edge of our territory. Many are unhappy," he stated. Never once did his blue eyes leave the other man's face. This one held an air of dominance. If Tage looked away, he would submit. On his pride as a wolf, he could not do that. The one here who was alpha was he.

"However, there is an easy way to cool this unease. Join us." He flicked the faintest smile, a tease, or a taunt. "Whoever you've called around you doesn't count as a pack. You are wolf and wolf needs pack."

The other sat without a word, something Cassius could see coming. If the other had come all this way, he wasn't simply going to walk away. He watched as the other seemed to stare him down. He was well aware of wolves and how they felt about their eye contact. He had little trouble holding the other's gaze, his own still holding a bit of an amused glint to it. The other was speaking now however, talking about where he came from. So, there were more getting leery about the wolves and others who came to his place for safety and a home. They sounded more like they were afraid he was building an army or something.

He then went on to propose a solution, one that actually made Cassius laugh lightly. "That is your solution? For me to submit and run with the wolves?" he said. "Forgive me, but I am quite happy where I am now and have little interest in submitting to anyone" the waitress brought his tea. He picked up the cup, taking a sip of the hot liquid within. "I have no intentions of causing your little pack any ill will, let me and my people live in peace and we will do the same to you" he sat the cup down, placing the money for it in the little pouch the other had left with him. He stood, "thank you for the amusement however" he turned away from him without permission, turning onto the street.

Tage growled under his breath, a low warning rather than an angry sound. He pushed his chair back, eyes narrowed and his body rigid as the other man stepped away from him. "Do you plan to make an enemy of me and my pack?" he questioned. He didn't raise his voice, only spoke loud enough to be heard. "You mean no ill will? But still you infringe upon our hard earned territory. If you walk away now, I will find it harder to be considerate next time."

The facts stated, he let out a small sigh. Leaving the table, he followed after the other man down the street. "Will nothing entice you to join the pack?" Tage thought he offered a good deal. He meant it when he said wolf needed pack. It was an undercurrent of their nature. A lone wolf might feel strong, but they always hurt. Wolves needed family and they needed structure. A true pack. And truly, Tage wanted this man to join his pack no matter what other wolves might say. He'd been watching him for a while now and this man made him curious.

He heard the growl, choosing not to allow it to get to him. Although he was a wolf, he was a worlock first. Thankful for him, his magic side as well as his time upon the earth helped give him the strength to keep those primal urges in check...for the most part. The man spoke, asking if he planned to make an enemy of them, that he was infringing upon their territory. He almost laughed a bit, he had been here for quite some time, within New York and Long Island. If this was anyone's territory, it was his. Though he was not surprised that the wolves did not see it that way.

Most of the time, races could be like that. They saw things as theirs, with little concern for others outside of their circle, unless they became a threat. Was that what they saw him as now? A threat to their way of life, or perhaps simply them? The man then proceeded to follow him. Cassius heard the question clearly, though it did not make him stop. "I need nothing from you" he said honestly. If he wanted, magic could provide him with whatever he needed. Though even then, he knew how hollow simple material things could be, that all the magic or money in the world could not always make someone happy.

He was not always one to take the easy way out, though it did have its conveniences. He enjoyed a challenge at times, hard work and the reward that came with it. He glanced at the other man, "my home is here, if that is a problem with your pack, then I am sorry. I have no intention of leaving however." That was the truth, much of his business was here as well. The club, as well as his work within the supernatural world and human one. He was not simply going to uproot everything at the order of another. He had worked long and hard for this, which meant if the others chose, he would defend it as well.

He paused in his stride, turning to face the other. "I meant what I said, I do not have any ill will towards your kind and I do not wish to start a pointless war, but I will not give up my freedom or independence simply because you think I need to submit" he looked the man right back in the eyes, having no trouble doing so. It was not because of the wolf defiance, it was a normal thing to do in respect and directness. He was serious within his words, before turning away once more.

As they stood face to face again, Tage continued to look the other man in the eyes. A part of him wanted to give up. He'd been rejected, twice now. The other man did not want to join his pack. Never would. And yet, Tage couldn't leave him alone. Fighting to keep his alpha personality in control, he kept in step with the man as he turned away again. "I never said you had to leave your home. Do you think it works that way? Among the pack, many live human lives in the countryside or the city even. I take no offense with you, do not misunderstand," he continued. "Rather the opposite."

For a second, he did no elaborate. He made it clear he did not intend to leave without getting some consideration though. Getting in front of the other man, Tage continued to walk backwards so he could keep their eye contact. It was natural and respectful. With his superior senses, he didn't need to look where he walked anyway, even avoiding a skateboarder on the sidewalk with a simple sidestep. "Submit or not, I have no interest in your freedom. Only respect. At least come to the mountains and see what we have to offer. I own lodging at the base of the mountains where all of the pack is welcome to come and go. You should be able to find it by scent."

He paused, finally stepping aside to let the other man go about his way. "Tell any wolf that should challenge you that Tage Nordskov allowed you passage. And a warning....I do not give up easily."

He frowned slightly, watching the other before him. He began to speak again, to which Cassius listened to. He arched a brow when the other said he felt the opposite to him. He did not want his freedom he claimed, only respect. Cassius knew this varied within packs, some wanted more, while others were more liberal with such requirements. However, he knew better than to simply take things at face value. The other told him to come to the mountains, to see what they had to offer. He did not doubt the others within his pack would not be to happy to see him there.

The other spoke on the matter, telling him should any oppose him, that their head sent him. He then gave a simple warning, one that Cassius finally allowed a slight chuckle to. "I should hope not" he said to the other, "what fun is a game of wolf and worlock without a bit of a challenge." Saying cat and mouse didn't feel right there, causing him to choose a bit of a play on words. Even now, he found this amusing, but that did not mean he was simply brushing it all off. He didn't need to be all tongue and cheek serious though, it was much more interesting to have a little fun and spice things up a bit.

The other's reactions were something to see as well. He looked to the man again, before shrugging. "Very well, I'll see this little nest of yours" he slid his hands into his cloak's pockets, "though do not expect it to change anything." He slipped past him again. He did not plan to take a crowd, that could be seen as a threat and agitate the already tense setting. Though going alone, would also be a risk. Cassius had dealt with wolves before, in and out of a fight. If it came down to it, he had enough tricks up his sleeves to be able to handle himself. "It should be an interesting encounter indeed" he smiled.

"Good then. I look forward to it." Tage offered a faint smile as the other man finally took his offer. A part of him rejoiced, but he remained reserved as he watched the man walk past, seeming far too confident. He knew this could be dangerous, but as an alpha wolf, he also felt confident. Should the other man come alone or with a pack, it would matter not. His own numbers were strong and loyal. He had absolutely nothing to fear. So really, why specify any requirements? It only made him look bad or weak.

As he turned away himself, only one thought caused him regret. "Ah, I forgot to ask him his name!" Oh well. The man would come on his own before too long. And if not, Tage would be right back here, having the same conversation all over again. Now that he'd latched on, he would never let go until he had what he wanted. Once making his way out of the city once again, avoiding the use of subway or cab as they made his wolf uncomfortable, he took that other form once again. Maybe it was risky to flaunt it during the daylight so close to humans, but he just held his head high and ran. Besides, the full moon would be in another week, so they'd cross paths again.

Finding three younger members of his pack lounging on the porch of what used to be a small lodging for a resort, Tage informed them of his decision and asked them to look out for his guest should he come. It gave the pups purpose and they took to it eagerly. In the end though, he had no intentions of relaxing his watch on that man.

The response from the man was not surprising, he was clearly happy to even get an inch of what he wanted. Cassius did not need to look back to know the man was walking away. So it seemed, he had plans for the night now, to head up to this little place of theirs. Part of him was admittedly looking forward to it, for the fun. He would be entering land just outside of his own, where his own reach would be tested. Perhaps that was what the other wanted. If he did anything to act against them, he would not have the authority he did here.

It was a risk he was willing to take. After all, he had meant what he said to the other earlier. It was no fun without a bit of a challenge. The same could be said about risk. However, he knew he could not cross the line from confident to just plain cocky. That would be not only rude, but stupid. He could be and was confident in his power and skill, but he also had to be leery that even he was not invincible. If he risked to much, it could cost him a great deal. He took a breath, heading back to his club and lodging, heading up to his room, he got a bit of work done.

His mind was a bit torn between a few things, before he pulled himself away from the work load. He slipped to his private chambers, heading to the bathroom to shower. The hot water relaxed him, calmed him as he ran through the conversation of that morning. He was walking into the lion's den...or more accurately, the wolves den. He would need to be conscious of his surroundings, as well as of any threats. He did not see this as to formal an event, it was not as if the other had asked him to dinner or on a date.

Many wolves were not really known for their high class designer tastes either. He opened the doors to his closet, walking in to scan the garments that laid within. He finally decided on a simple pair of black pants paired with a black silk shirt and a vest that was red on the front but black in the back for a pop of color. He smiled, deciding against a tie, it was just formal enough without being stuffy. He chuckled, no need to really hinder his own tastes when taking a walk on the wild side?

Tage lay in his own room, though the door remained open. Private property wasn't such a big thing here. That's how he ran his pack and he hated to be unavailable at any time of day even when he wanted to be alone. If he was on the property, he was available. It was only when he ran that he allowed himself to be alone. Besides, wolf nature welcomed bedmates whether they just slept or otherwise. More often than not, a younger member of the pack or a lonely female slept somewhere in his room just to belong somewhere.

Much of the day had already passed. Now he had his eyes closed as he listened and felt the territory around him. Even in his human form, his ears captured the soft sound of quiet conversation between a couple young lovers in the main room. Leaves rustled outside, moved by a slight breeze. Three slept on the porch, two as wolves, one as a human. Far in the distance, the pups ran around chasing shadows. Of course, more of his pack wandered the woods or not around since they came and went as they pleased between the full moons.

Would the worlock man come tonight? Tage couldn't stop himself from wondering. He didn't specify a time, but sooner seemed more likely. But also, too soon might sound too desperate on both their parts. He bit his thumbnail. It might be too early to say if this plan would work out. But definitely too early to worry. Still he continued to work the nail with his sharp teeth. Ah, just come already. I really want to meet you properly! At least he knew the pups would keep less welcoming members of his pack off the man until Tage arrived should he come.

Buttoning up his shirt, he glanced out the window. The sun was already beginning to turn the sky shades of deep gold and red as it began to set. He picked up his vest, slipping it over the shirt, he would have to leave in a few moments. He did not plan to run there, as man or wolf, and driving would take him past night. So, the most logical thing to do, was to use a portal. Cassius could create a portal to anywhere with his magic. It was a lot easier to places he had been and could visualize clearly, than those he did not know at all. He knew the woods close enough to where the other had told him, a bit of walking wuld do him some good. After his vest had been done up, he turned to the mirror.

He ran his hands through his hair a bit, getting it to lay decently. Approving of his appearance, he turned back to the room behind him. "Lets get this show on the road" he waved his hand, a swirl of dark purple magic formed like a cloud before him. As it solidified, the center rippled like the surface of water before the surface became like a mirror. Through it, he could see the woods beyond. Once he stepped through, he knew the other would be able to sense him. Picking up his coat, he pressed through the portal. The dirt beyond was what met his boots, he did not mind it at all. Though he did like things nice and neat, he could handle getting rough and dirty when need be. He did actually like the nature, it was simple and pure to him.

The portal closed behind him, leaving him standing within the darkening woods. He took a breath, his own senses already picking up on the presence of others around him. He made no move with his magic though, remaining as he was for now. He stepped forward, slowly making his way along. He was in no rush, and the last bit of lingering distance between the two might make the anticipation build. That is, if the other was as interested in him as he gave off. He did not know, he could possibly simply annoy the other. Still, the walk gave him a chance to take in his surroundings and the presences of this land. There were indeed many, who he didn't doubt had noticed him. Soon enough, the location of their meeting came into sight. He paused at the treeline, looking at the building before him.

The ears of a young wolf perked up. By then, the other two boys sitting with him noticed it too. Or rather, they noticed first, but couldn't remember what they were supposed to do. Then, in a frenzy, the pups were running through the clearing and out into the trees after the disturbance they smelled. Just like that, the wolves popped up in front of the intruder man, taking their human forms. The three ranged between the age of seven and fourteen and one of them didn't bother clothing himself in human form.

"Hey look! Are you the guy Alpha invited?" the eldest asked.

Another leaned in close to give the man a good sniff. He wrinkled his nose and pulled back, though his eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Why do you smell funny? Are you a wolf? You don't smell like a wolf."

The older boy hit him in the arm. "That's rude! You don't just ask people if they're a wolf!"

The youngest pouted up at them all. "...But why?" The naked boy grabbed him by the hair and they startled to tussle like there wasn't a complete and total stranger in front of them. No doubt, it looked like a scene straight out of the wild. Just as things devolved so completely, boots crunched on the leaves.

Tage walked up and chided them all with a look. He grabbed one boy and held him away as the others dropped down with submission immediately. "Pups! I said escort, not annoy him. Now, I think your mother is looking for you." He turned his eyes to his guest then, smiling with complete ease. "I'm glad you decided to come. I hope no one caused you trouble."

The form of a few clearly young wolves greeted him. They shifted to human form, before beginning to pelt him with questions and their curiosity. He chuckled slightly, finding it in truth kind of amusing. Children were always so cute, he had seen them plenty of times throughout his life. Many didn't like them, thought they were a pain or in the way. Others adored them. He thought they were something precious. Though he would never have them himself, even if he wanted to. Bringing them into his life, his work...was dangerous. Not to mention his immortality, it was that way with love as well. His mind slightly getting off topic, as he heard the other's voice.

He looked up at him, seeing him chide the children slightly more like a father. For a moment, he almost smiled. He then nodded, brushing off the thoughts and feelings in his head. "There was no trouble"he said in response to his question. In truth, besides the young ones, no one had yet come to interact with him. "So this is your home?" his eyes moved back to the building across the way. Out in nature, it must have been nice, quiet and peaceful. Then again, with so many around, it could get out of hand at times. But that also meant that with a big family, it could be nice. He knew the pros and cons of such a thing. Having him join, was the reason the other had allowed him to come here freely. He knew what to expect, a show of all the good things and reasons why he should say yes. He looked to the other once more.

The youngest pup hesitated around Tage's legs and he patted his head before finally picking him up and carrying the boy. It must really look like the boys belonged to him, but he just believed in the family that his pack was. Even if there was a hierarchy involved, it didn't have to dictate one's humanity, or rather, wolf-heart int his case. "That's good. Yes, I own this land, but it belongs to all the pack," he explained as he talked. "Without a doubt, it's my home though."

In the forest, he knew other wolves kept pace with them, watchful. Tage knew it was right to send the pups. As expected, what could become a tense situation was diffused almost immediately by those three. For some reason, they had that effect. Even the most aggressive of his pack calmed near them, or at least wouldn't attack where they could be harmed. It seemed the pups went over well with their guest too. Always a bonus.

Stepping up on the porch, he gathered the attention of those mingling there. "Hello. I'm glad you all are here. I've invited this man here in hopes of him joining our pack so I'd like you all to welcome him," Tage said as he finally let the boy down to run to a woman who just stepped outside where they could hear the other pups whining. He turned to look his guest in the eye then. "Most are at their own homes now or such, but I'll introduce you to those gathered here. Of course, you've already met Drego and Puck, and that little one was Oliver," he started. There were only five other wolves present besides the pups, the core members of his pack excepting a few. Each he named which looking in the eye, saying this will of his would not be broken. Accept their guest.

He watched the other, listening to his words. For now, he kept silent, allowing the other to lead. When he moved to the home, Cassius followed slightly, his senses making him well aware of the growing tension that seemed to lighten with the younger ones there. The other introduced them, after telling the others he was to be welcomed. Cassius arched a brow slightly. They might welcome him under the other's orders, but that did not mean they would like him. It was clear already many were not happy he was there. At the same time, the other could not always be watching, distance and what others might see as being alone could bring up some confrontation. For now though, it seemed the other's dominant role was taking priority.

None would make a move on him for now, especially with the other around. That was perhaps beneficial for both him and the others. He had no interest in a fight right at the moment. He would be patient, respecting at least his courtesy. He listened for the other to introduce the other there, converting each name to memory. It would be awkward to run into them later and not know their names. They might see it as an insult, which was the last thing he wanted to do next to a fight. He glanced a bit at the alpha, watching him slightly as he spoke about his people and would go about introducing them. It was not hard to see he did care about them deeply. That was good, it made Cassius happier and more open to dealings with him, rather than if he had turned out to be an arrogant jerk.

Cassius did not take kindly to evil, especially the kind that harmed others...including children. He could not have stood by or been a part of such a thing. But while the man before him seemed to care for them, they seemed happy with him as well. For the most part. This did not mean that Cassius had any plans to roll over and hop on the pack train for the man. No, his position was still firm. He was not about to join a pack, even one that seemed all around to be good. He had his reasons, but he doubted the other would give up so easily. Thus, here he was. Hopefully by the end of this little meeting of theirs, the other would finally give up and allow him to return home in peace.

Finally, when introductions were done, the crowd of wolves began to disperse. Nap time was over for their kind with the darkness now fully set over there. Even the old itched with restlessness. It must be the wolf nature, but many of them found it hard to live diurnal human lives. Tage himself found the night more appealing though he understood the lure of the daylight as well.

Overall, he thought the meeting went well. Packs were naturally close-knit and wary to newcomers. It bred a mentality of 'us' and 'them', though he did his best to lessen those ideals. So that fact that he could keep ill will contained without singling anyone out seemed like a good start. Of course, he still needed to convince the other man to want to join. This was only paving a way and maybe winning out hearts on both sides. Tage was good at things like that with his gentle smile.

Turning, he watched the man for seconds. His slow gaze appraised though he wore a more contemplative expression. Shaking the thoughts away, Tage spoke though he never looked away. "Would you care to run together before you return home?"

He smiled, enjoying it a bit. He was not opposed to meeting new people. As they moved on, he felt a bit less like someone might want to take a literal bite out of him. The thought causing him to chuckle slightly under his breath. He doubted they'd really bite him...hopefully. The other was then looking at him, as if studying him. Had he done something odd? Or perhaps the other was just enjoying the view?

He spoke, asking if he wanted to run together before heading home. By 'run', Cassius got that he meant shift to wolf form and literally...well...run. Cassius did not spend a lot of time in his wolf form or man wolf form, he was well aware of how the animal mind could take over quite easily if one was not wary. He had had years of time to work on this, so he had control over himself. Although, there was always those risks in the heat of the moment. Would the other try something with him?

"I really shouldn't" he said, "I'm not much of a runner." He chuckled slightly. The last time he had actually been in wolf form, was long ago to him. Wolves felt the urge to transform at night and even more so at the presence of a full moon. He had learned and managed to maintain his control over himself. The last thing he needed, was a wolf to blow that apart.

The faintest frown painted Tage's lips. He disliked being turned down so much. He could perhaps push with his dominance to get his way, but he doubted it would work in this man. He would need to fight much like alpha to alpha and if he did, tensions would rise in the back again. Instead, he turned his shoulder, not bothering to look the other man in the eyes. "Funny you should say that since somewhere in you is a wolf," he murmured. "I doubt its healthy to keep him locked up inside. Hardly natural." And yet, some of his kind shared the same sentiment.

"I think I would enjoy a run with one such as you, but very well. You may leave now if you wish." He'd once more fallen into a commanding and distant tone rather than the softer one he'd acquired here at his home. His dismissal complete, he turned away and fell onto all fours as a wolf. Sharp blue eyes looked up at the man, waiting for him to make his exit. There was no doubt from the wolf's behavior now that he was alpha and one must tread carefully around him. Go or run. Those were the only two options.

He noticed the frown coming to the other's lips. That clearly was not the answer he had wanted from him. He waited for a moment to see what the other would do as a result. When he turned away from him, Cassius watched his body language. He then spoke of it being hardly natural or healthy to keep his wolf side pent up. He then went on to say he would enjoy a run with him, before dismissing him. The other then shifted, and Cassius got the clear vibe from him where he stood now.

Giving a slightly dry chuckle, he looked at the other. "You have a funny way of showing such...asking me here then brushing me off so quickly?" he shrugged, passing the wolf before him. Whether he was in alpha mode or not, it was not enough to simply cause him to quake. "If you desire my company, there are much more plesant ways of asking...many that involve manners" he said, walking away from the other, "when you've learned some, call me."

With that, he said nothing else to the other. The darkness was little trouble for him. Though he doubted if anyone was listening, they would like him speaking so boldly to the other. It had been kind of nice to hear him say he would enjoy it with him, but his alpha arrogance was quick to put out that bit of progress. He headed back towards the woods. Lifting a hand, he was ready to go home.

Who brushed who off first here? Tage growled at the other's words, his body tense, but still. He very well could snap at Cassius for words like that and such flippant disregard, but even as a wolf, he thought better of that. Pointless violence never achieved anything. As the man walked away, Tage spun away. Off into the woods he ran, his grey paws tearing up the soft dirt. Even when he sensed others nearby, he veered off in order to avoid them. They weren't the ones he wanted to run with now.

Twigs broke under his paws as the the resort dropped away. Deeper into the woods he ran, uphill where the trees grew thinner, but the brush just as dense. A howl tore itself from him. Didn't he have wonderful manners? He was the kind leader wasn't he? Compared to some wolves, he could throw a freaking tea party. Such brutes, but here he was inviting people over to his home and making proper introductions. But he lacked manners? Even when his paws hit rocky earth and the moon painted pine needles in silver, he still bristled. He would definitely show the other man that he could ask in the most desirable way if that was what it took.

He'd come to a stop at some point, looking out over the woods below with open air instead of trees above him. That's when he realized. He said 'call me'. Like this door was still open. That was the first time Cassius so openly left an invitation and Tage couldn't help but soar again with hope. He dropped onto his stomach with his eyes on the moon. So he could go back. Not that he planned to give up in the first place, but his confidence returned. Definitely, he would seek that man out again.
