Soda: Ohh, yeah! This group! :) I've heard "Ghosts", but nothing else. This is good! Kinda retro, too.

Lets Ting Ting it up a bit, a British Indie Pop group, and they are catchy. What's not to like.

Oh, hey, I recognize that song! What commercial used that? Was it an iPod one? It doesn't remind me of razors, at least. ("I'm Your Venus" by Bananarama was ruined for me before I even knew who was behind it.)

Speaking of pop, we're already on the second page and I haven't put up any Butterfly Boucher yet! This must be remedied posthaste!

She's an Australian singer-songwriter whose music you hear around in the odd television show or film, but don't necessarily know who she is. So, you know, not a headliner (alas, there is no justice), but excellent live!

It was featured in a Ipod add, and it was a good add at that.

All so, cool artist, I've never heard of them before.

Makes sense, Soda. Feist was also featured in an iPod ad... what, a few years ago now? Apple has excellent taste.

Who, Butterfly? Yeah, I hadn't heard of her either, but one of her songs ("Keeper") is on a Lilith sampler, and I kinda got myself addicted to it. :)

Has anyone mentioned Evanescence? (I think I spelt that right.) They're pretty awesome, kind of less heard of now than they used to be, but still worth a squizz.

Evanescence? I wouldn't say they're less heard of now, they just don't have any new albums right now. I'd still call them pretty massive though. I don't think I could walk into a room and ask if anyone knows of them and not have at least one person say yes.

They do have a awesome lead vocalist (Amy something or other haha) I think it was Amy anyways.

Yeah, Amy Lee is the lead vocalist. :) Evanescence is definitely guilty pleasure music. And a big name! *Adds them to the listing.*

That's true, you have. :) Probably also depends on where else you post, though.

Yeah, I don't necessarily pop into a large variety of places. I'm not very good and socializing haha. :)

But if we keep the sigs that doubles our chances from before right. Pictures attract people haha.

Me neither, really. I rarely venture beyond Sprinkles, a few RPGs, and my own threads. And the music forum, lately.

Ooh, I like the glasses on the pumpkin head! XD

Janis Joplin has to be my favorite female singer. The soul and passion in her songs just blows me away. I'll share my favorite Janis song with you, Cry Baby.

Another (although much less soulful) favorite would be Lily Allen. Though she has something of a pop sound, her songs aren't worthless. My favorite of hers would be the tongue-in-cheek The Fear.

The proportionately small amount of woman in music (let alone rock music) has always bothered me. There aren't really many female artists that I like, since most tend to be in genres I'm not very fond of. Despite my utter lack of talent, I've always wanted to be a singer, and I feel like there isn't much of a place for me in music. I hope that eventually talented, gifted, and soulful women musicians become more prevalent...

Hi, Cherry! Yeah, women rockers are few and far between, but if you know where to look... Really, there are a lot of women in music, though I do wonder about statistics.

What genres of music do you like? Maybe we can find some suggestions for you!

I really like Lily Allen too, she's pretty cool. I actually like her older stuff a little more like Lily Allen - Shame For You but I like it all really. ^^ Just wanted to point out she's got some great older songs.

Lily Allen's great! XD Also, Kate Nash. She may be younger, and less mature, but maybe that's kind of the fun.

They really are very different. So maybe it's strange that one makes me think of the other.

Actually I totally agree, one does make me think of the other. I don't know why, maybe its a similar voice?

Or similar accent and maturity level. Also the big sister/little sister vibe.

Hard to say. XD 'Tis a mystery...

Hm. I'm thinking about taking a run to the store. Filling up my gas tank, too. The car, she is thirsty. But when I get back maybe I'll work on some banners. Do you think 200x200 pixels would be about right for affiliate banners?

Won't that be a square though? You want a square banner?

I don't know. If they were like buttons... I don't know, how big should a rectangular banner be? Smaller or bigger than the siggy banners? Or the same size, even?
