I haven't read the book, but I want to. I watched the movie earlier in the year, so now I'm kinda wondering how good the book must have been for them to bother attempting a movie adaptation.

I was supposed to read it for a class this summer, but time ended up being so crunched that I traded it out on a book that I knew I'd have an easier time with. You really do need a dictionary to get through the first two chapters.

I loved it. It was so interesting and sickening at the same time. But I just couldn't stop because of the story. I think the thought of correcting a young man with ultra-violent and predatory behaviors in such ways as they did in the book was interesting and thoughful.

It happens to be one of my favorite books. I read it a couple of years ago for an online book club I was in and found it a lot more intense than the film (though some of the improvised bits of the film are just cinematic gold).

I did- it was great. It took a little while to get into the rhythm of the language, but once i did it was hard to put down.
I still haven't had a chance to watch the movie but I would like to after reading the book.

I read the first page, I believe.
It was rather hard to understand. XD
And at this point in my life, I don't have all that much time to spend reading, especially if it's a book that's going to take me a while to get the hang of.
I would like to read it someday, though. I'll bet it is a fascinating book.

Yep (: It's one of my favourites. I loved the film so I decided to read the book. I think watching the film first helps with the confusion of the language, cos I found it fairly easy to read. The book is so much better, and sicker, than the film though. I guess because you can get away with more in words than pictures.

I haven't read the book but I did see the movie and thought it was a bit strange and messed up if I'm honest lol and if the film isn't anything like the book then they messed it up for the readers because after seeing the movie am not going to run out and buy the book after watching that mess lol
