I've been to the library a few times, but the only library I ever frequented was the high school library. I read there while waiting for momma to pick me up. Never checked out a book.

That's always fun. They have a few different story times we've gone to there, the little one likes it. She also likes to go because they have computers to play on and stuff.

now THAT'S a birthday present.. everytime people ask me what i want and i go 'a book' or 'a gift card to get books' they tell me no i need to be practical.. what is not practical about owning my own book it lasts a lot longer then chocolate or candies.. and I'd definetly re read it..

Yes! A book is a wonderful present. Or other, useful things. For Christmas I asked for new sheets. For my birthday, a cooler for camping. XD Far too practical.

Indeed! I'd rather have something useful than... anything else, honestly. I don't like flowers, chocolates, or jewelry much. Nope, household stuff will have me forever grateful.

I do hate that new books can be so expensive, though. D: But yeah, a lot of books are not that bad, and I feel like most of the time the experience of reading that book is well worth the money.

The only acceptable flower would be if someone got me a new orchid, as mine refuses to bloom, no matter what I do.

I buy most of my books from the second hand store and off of barnes and noble. The library here in town has the occasional random book sale as well. But not very often.

Oh, love when the Salvation Army does 20 for $1 on books. It's the reason my daughters bookshelf is literally sagging under the weight of all the books on it.

Has the orchid bloomed recently? It could just be in a dormant period. Depending on the type of orchid and/or the environment it's in it could have a dormant period of about a year or even years as is the case with some types of orchids.
