see, I always make sure to get one EI set but I splurg on commons.

xD I prefer having some spare EI sets. They usually come in handy when I want some art.

what ARE EI's? And how do I get them?

EIs are Event Items. You'll find info on them on the FAQ.

EI's are Event Items. They will be released in the stores periodically throughout the event and can be bought with event currency.

Difference between Event Items and Event Commons is that the commons will go into the regular shops but the Event Items will leave the shops after the event.
