I never really had any. The dog belonged to my dad, and I'm not too fond of dogs.

Wow, you're like the first person i've ever known who doesn't get into dogs
and who hasn't really owned animals. I miss my dog >: Although she does
kinda... scare people coz she's got a temper xD;; But i miss the stinky cuddles

@Plati: Well I have a friend that isn't fond of dogs, she prefers cats and has a pet cat herself.
Why haven't you had a pet at all?
My parents are against most pets, but I have had a pet turtle and some fishes at one point.
Plus they let me babysit dogs for a week before.

Are they commonly sold in pet stores? I wonder why I haven't heard or seen them ever.

I did some research on them, since I really liked the idea of having one the other day. XDD

They aren't very good pets though. They can't be potty-trained, there is no food to buy for them, you have to special order it and then make it. The time to make it can range from 5 - 15 minutes. They're nocturnal and 'bark' at night. (I found the bark they made to be SO CUTE! >w< ) And...yeah.
The noises they make (Even when mad) were just adorable, LOL. But, the peeing one...peeing right when it wakes up and cleaning a cage every 3-5 days..not my cup of tea.

I haven't had a pet because mom doesn't like having animals around. Says they're smelly.

Having a nocturnal pet would kill me. I am the opposite of nocturnal >_> ;;

O I see. My parents complain about that too. They also complain about the messes they make, the expenses, and the fact that they die.

Sugar Gliders in some areas in the states are considered 'exotic'
You can just buy them from glider - breeders, or some pet shops have em
it depends where you live. Joe said they're in abudance in Australia too
so who knows, mebbe you're allowed to own them there? But who knows
one tip i found from most places was check to see if theres a legislation allowing
you to keep em ^^

I also saw all that info to consider on gliders as pets. Its hard to tell because a lot
of replies to that particular video outlined that their gliders are nothing like what
the woman described, and that it must depend on the glider you purchase, and
how you house it / train it... etc. Either way, a very hard decision to make @o@;;

If i were considering purchasing one, i'd just look around and find somebody who
was willing to kinda... 'induct' me into being around one. See how it goes after a
few weeks if i could handle them or not. Its amazing though

Wild gliders = 5-7 years life span
Domestic gliders = 10-15 years life span

I don't really see lizards where I live since it's cold for more than half the year, but when I go on a vacation in Asian countries I definitely see many lizards!
