So i wanted to say.... "i'm sorry for you condition" But is that really fair?(to you) Or accurate? Perhaps you should feel sorry for everyone elses condition!! ;) Or conditioning i should say.. The mental addiction to such things is so hard to beat. I myself have never been diabetic and i would LOATH the day i was born should that happen to me. But i can see it form another light too, You seem well adjusted to your condition/illness. And honestly you are all the more healthier for it too! (albeit the condition itself isnt great) I have taken sugar and things like that for granted for my whole life. On one hand though as i started to say, i am sorry that the condition itself is plaguing you but in retrospect i am probably killing myself with the bad stuff. I couldnt live without hoards of delicious bread either... making it all the more deadly should i ever have to deal with this illness. Dont get me wrong i am horribly aware of the other tragic side effects that can go with being a diabetic. loss of eyesight, amputation, So i am in no way trying to be rude or make light of the illness. I am trying to help you see an upside! :D And the down side too... like eating everything that is bad for you and being 300ibs.. Ya know? Sometimes the grass as they say... isnt green on either side. :( But the horse and the cows still eat the hay!! :D I dont know much about hay.. but i know it comes in a variety of choices...Alfalfa anyone? hee hee.

just in moderation and along with protein and veggies
i adore baby carrots and greek yogurt veggie dip

i also love good bread but it makes me feel ill

No actually. We all have type 2. My mom is in a never ending cycle with her weight and insulin. And I'm not on insulin yet and would like to not be for a very long time. But I am also having problems with my weight.
