The beauty of the day
the beauty of the week
Year
every where we go in life
we make an imprint on
our the world
to make it turn
to have it spin around

And as the world spins around
The sun always shines
the sun that shines so brightly
And embraces us with it's warmth

What makes us worthy to receive such a gift?
Our deeds?
Our peers?
...A hint?

Whether we deserve life or not,
we rejoice in our findings.
And even through all the blood and the pain,
we will push forward, we will drive on, we will live.

Live as we might
With life comes death
With death comes life
A never ending cycle

Of course the circle can be thwarted
With angles here and there
Ups and downs
complete turn-a-rounds
And come to a stop
When you least expect

And that special turn
One that leads to nowhere
Is where
Peace begins
Or ends.

...Or ends.

An ending, so final in thought,
But a new beginning it has brought,
For now the Earth can be made anew,
From the morning lights first drops of dew.

To the grass that's green
to the sky so blue
to the clouds up high
and the wind that blows

to the first winter snows
and the first breath of spring
They all come together
And make the earth sing

Sing like the birds
Howl like the wolves
Music is what we know best
A beat is all we need
To make ourselves dance

and carefully choreographed
and movement so precise
we can make the stars fall and
the sun rise and
all the world will bend to us
dance with us on and on
and on

On and on it goes
nature moves its cycle
in a never ending circle
untill it somehow breaks

a million fragments of us
spinning into space
screaming into darkness
the indignity of this inevitability
anchors us to the Earth

And earth itself a wonder
one spall tiny fragment
one of million others
spread through the universe
infinity the masses
the depths so great

and between each star, this space
like the space that stretches between us
cold and present
a false ether
we forget, we can move through it
entwine one to another, and erase this space
unlike these great celestial bodies
we don't explode when we collide

Collision
dare we brush
dare we even think
of giving up our space?
Our eyes
our lips
overflowing with
unspoken threats.
Threats of destruction
of pain
of suffering
and most terrifying of all
of being close enough
to feel anything at all.

Rather it be physical
or it be mental
Yet, even spiritual
or a combination of all three.

we might melt away if we allowed this
the sea might swallow us up
and all the stars we'd count together
might turn away and go out

leaving us alone in the dark
unsure of our footing
not knowing where this road ends
and the fall
begins.

into emptiness, we fall
and are caught only by the wind
that rushes through our bones and
sets us upright on this world
that moves too quickly beneath our tired feet

And what to what do we owe our fatigue?
Meandering across these empty plains?
through the concrete temples
to the new gods of the age?
For the soul grows weary
far before our feet take notice
of distance traveled.

Of traveling through
many footsteps make
sometimes leave traces
of what is left behind

But the inevitable,
Footsteps wash away.
The ocean sucks them up
And only memories float
Foaming water tells all.
What happens-
Not life or death exist
Anymore.
