Antagonist, the first time something like this happened, yep it was scary. We've been here for seven years now, this is not our first rodeo. Wish I could open the balcony door and hear better what they are saying on the loud speaker, but the neighbor below us is smoking and the smoke is wafting distastefully into our apartment. Not a fan of that stink.

On a positive note, the chicken cooking in the crock pot is making the apartment smell divine!

Yes, not the first time. The first time was infinitely more scary for me. Had gone out with my friend for drinks, driving home down the road and I see all these flashing police lights and the closer I come it becomes more apparent they are all around and within our apartment complex. A dozen or so cop cars in total.

Park the car, walking towards the quad where our apartment is located and two police officers, one with a K-9 unit on leash and they ask me if I live there, what apartment number and if there is someone there waiting for me. Pretty sure they would have escorted me up the stairs had I asked. Seems they were looking for someone that had fled from the police in a car chase, the person pulled into our complex, parked and tried to make their escape on foot.

Not totally sure what is happening now, they don't appear to be in our complex, but the one next to us. Helicopter is still out there making pass after pass. No more voices on the loud speaker.

As for the chicken, it's a pot luck at work tomorrow for Halloween and chicken enchilada casserole is what I am making. The jalapenos and hatch green chilies smell amazing!

Wow, I hope nothing happens! We've had police cars pull over on the streets below but never anything like helicopters and such.

To further dig in the knife of yumminess, there is roughly three pounds of cheese in the entire entree.

The road we live next to is a relatively main road, runs for long miles in either directions, we get our share of police chases and cop cars hauling serious ass. This is probably the longest I've heard the helicopter stick around which makes me think something super serious is going down. Might just have to check the news reports to see if they have anything to report on about it.

I think ours is slightly off from a main road, but accidents happen pretty commonly. Like, people kept getting into car crashes and then we'd here police sirens followed shortly by ambulance sirens. Nothing that would make the news, anyway.

I will have to watch the video later, all I can do to keep my eyes open right now, waiting for the chicken to be done so it can be shredded and stacked into the enchilada. Thinking it will be bake in the morning, making it fresh for work.
