Hello Mene!

I'm new here, but I've managed to have a pretty good time with the Marketplace and the Menewsha Exchange area. (Thanks to my sister having been a member here some years ago, and having lost interest gave me all her items!) But since I'm so new I know there are a lot of things I don't quite know yet.

So I thought it would be cool to start a hang-out for shop owners here to talk about the business of mene items. Really anyone can join in, even if you don't have a shop!

You can also pimp your shop too if you like. I love poking around the Exchange area to see what people want/are selling.

Feel free to start posting!! (Normal conversations are good too, I just thought a topic to start with would get the conversations going!)

Business is pretty good! I've only sold three items in total, but they were really sweet ones so I ended up making some awesome gees.

@Zombie Pixie - I guess it could be either. Sexy threads might have more to talk about, but I'm sure even they use the market place. Everyone is welcome though!

But with the threads you actually get to talk to the people that are buying from you i dunno maybe i say that cause i like talking to people

I like finding commons in the marketplace, but not many people have them up for sale. :3 I'm terrible at selling stuff, I usually end up giving them away.

@Zombie Pixie - I like using the exchange thread more as well. Sometime people don't have the gold for an item you're selling, but are willing to exchange an equally desirable item for it.

@~LONGCAT~ - To answer your previous question, I actually bought this pixel cutie from Flower Petals Event Art Shop. If you clicker her she'll take you to Seito's year round art shop!

If I had the time I would try to open an art shop. but there's just too much going on as it is. :3

Yeah, it does take some work to get one's shop noticed. The actually sales are easy-peasy, it's just getting them to begin with.

it's quick and easy and no waiting

The marketplace is good for items you just want to sell, or buying commons for cheaper than the shops (plus the gold goes to people, rather than into space or wherever it goes in the shops). But I like user run shops for rarer items, like old EIs and CIs, because you can barter and get the items you want for less or combine gold and items to get it.

It's pretty nifty. :)
