Story
It is the year 3545 and mankind has just stepped forth from the brink of extinction. After the 300 Years' War, which engulfed the whole of the Milky Way in a war of the worlds. Numerous alien races participated in this combat, which took place mostly in space, and was fought in advanced spaceships. However, despite their desire to survive and the quality of their technology, mankind's armies were soon destroyed, and the surviving civilians were either capture and sold to intergalactic slave traders, or went into hiding.

After many hundreds of years of fighting the alien races back, mankind finally regained it's territories and was able to rebuild. With the alien's vast knowledge of the galaxies in the known universe, mankind set out to explore these terrains in hopes of avoiding another war of such calamity and finding races which could aid the human race in rebuilding. This led to the creation of faster engines, more powerful hulls, weapons which could slice through multiple ships in a single shot, generators which produced more power than hundreds of millions of tons of fossil fuel ever could. All these developments and discoveries led to the expansion of the human race, finally making it as powerful as the races it fell victim to.

However, with all the advances in technology also came inherant risks. The technology gave birth to a score of new underclasses which ruthlessly attacked and selfishly ransacked cargo ships which were travelling across the universe. These individuals were known as space pirates.

Because of this new breed of villains, many security sectors were set up throughout the universe, most of them privatly owned. These forces protected small colonial planets from pirate attacks, but charged a hefty fee, more than some planets could afford to pay. This led to the creation of another sub-class known as an Outlaw, a man or woman who had loyalties to no one except themselves. These Outlaws replaced olden day mercinaries in many cases, as they were well-suited for any work.

Although Outlaws had no loyalties, they were often viewed in a manner similiar to olden day mercinaries: As scum. This has led to quarrels between Outlaws and Space Security Forces, most of them ending in stalemate.

Races:

Terrans - Also known as humans. Terran is the term used by many space creatures to refer to humans. Terran comes from the Latin word, "Terra", meaning Earth.

Ctarl-Ctarl - A cat-like race. The Ctarl-Ctarl have amazing hearing and strength, as well as an ability to turn into a large, vicious beast. The Ctarl-Ctarl are a vast empire that, after many battles with Humans, have established trade treaties and are now on neutral terms. The Frontier lies in between the Ctarl-Ctarl Empire and the Terran Federation, and was established as a buffer zone after numerous battles between the two species. Its position is said to be 50 light years away from earth.

Silgrians - A peaceful race in the universe which resembleanthropomorphized birds. Physically they are usually at least 180 cm (6ft) tall, and have necks that can make a 180 degree rotation or can turn their head completely upward. Their eyes also have two lids. It is often complained that the Silgrians are 'too friendly' with human races.

Corbanites - An industrious race of frog-like amphibians. Their natural habitat is in the water, so Corbanites wear environment suits that maintain an aquatic environment to their liking. With their technological advancement, most Corbanites fit their enviro-suits with translators that turn their native Corbonese into the local language.

Saurians - A bio-engineered race of reptiles created by Terrans by combining different strains of dinosaur DNA. Saurians are tall, powerful, imposing creatures with the intelligence and cunning of any Terran combined with the strength and viciousness of their great lizard ancestors.

Tenrei Aliens - Small, furry, rabbit like creatures that are only seen in a video introducing guests to Tenrei. When the three wizards arrived on their planet, the pleasant little creatures welcomed them with open arms. They introduced them to the hot springs that held rejuvenating powers. This was their downfall. A seductive female wizard named Urt began opening more hot springs and also bringing in heavy construction equipment to start building hotels and the like. In the rapid expansion of humans across Tenrei, the small aliens were lost and are now presumed extinct.

Planets and stations:

Sentinel III - A level 4 terraformed world. It is as saome put it, "A planet out in the middle of nowhere." Primarily an agricultural exporter, two urban areas are: Locust and Hugo. The only known space port is the New Virginia Spaceport outside Locust.

Blue Heaven - An asteroid colony, and a free town unaffiliated with any interplanetary state or any of the dominant pirate guilds. Its neutral status make it a popular stopover and resupply center for outlaws. Mikey and Swanzo work as mechanics at Blue Heaven.

Heifong III- It is one of the planets in the Heifong system, such as the water planet Heifong 7. It is a very expensive place to live (and port a ship).

Tenrei - A pleasure planet that is covered in hot springs. A long time ago, three wizards came to this paradise of nature attempting to resurrect the mana, the energy of nature. Instead, one of them happened upon the hot springs and turned the entire planet into her own interstellar vacation spot. The wizards are the creators of Caster bullets.

Hecatonchires- It is a planet with wildly fluctuating gravity. The Gehenna prison is in a location of 3 Gs while its punishment facility at the north pole is 10.4 Gs.

Name: Cloud Strife

Physique: Well-toned, swimmer-like muscle groups.
Appearance: Cloud has long, thick red hair and deep jade eyes which spark with electricity every now and then. He has somewhat tanned skin, which is usually hidden by his black-and-white shirt and black pants. Cloud usually has the same outfit on and wears heavy black steel boots. He also wears small glasses and fighting gloves at all times.

History: When Cloud was a child, he and his parents were involved in a car crash on Sentinel 3, and was forced to undergo reconstructive surgery. While his parents died, Cloud was transported from Sentinel to Heifong 3 where he underwent his surgery. Because of the extensive damage to Cloud's skeletal and muscular systems, he was given a very low chance of survival. However, just when all hope was lost, another option became available. With Cloud's consent, an experiment went through on his body which replaced his damaged organs, bones, and muscles with powerful mechanical components. In fact, Cloud's entire left arm had to be created with the biomechanical components, along with his left lung, spleen, most of his left rib cage, and parts of his stomach. Most of Cloud's human muscle tissue had been destroyed or ripped off, so most of Cloud's muscles are also biomech, which has allowed him to do things normal humans can't. After recovering, Cloud began coming to terms with his state and accepted his fate. He made a full recovery, and due to the fact that his new biomech components contained tiny colonies of nanites, Cloud was able to recover faster than humans. Few scars remained from the incident, and as Cloud aged, his biomech enchancments grew with him, becomming larger and stronger as normal tissue would. At a certain age, however, Cloud stopped aging, the nanites which helepd him heal beginning to work to make sure his entire body was in peak condition. Since then, Cloud has remained appearing like a 21-year-old man, and has lived a normal life since. Because of the cost of the surgery, Cloud had to work as many jobs as he could, even turning to bounty hunting in order to pay for food and make payments. When this didn't become enough, Cloud took some more questionable jobs, running weapons and other illegal items between planets. Upon one of these missions, Cloud uncovered the Vendera, which had been hidden in a destroyed colony port. Taking it for his own ship, Cloud traveled the galaxy in search of bounty.

Sighing, Cloud walked down the side streets of Locust, his long, thick hair waving in the wind slightly, his black-and-white shirt fluttering as well. As Cloud walked, the bandelier hanging off his waist clattered, his Caster in it's holster, the shells he had left in the bandelier.

As Cloud continued walking down the neon-lit streets of Locust, he happened upon an old favorite of his, the Stardust Maiden, a bar/club which, due to recent problems, had very slow business. However, whenever Cloud showed up, business usually picked up the next night. Nodding a simple hello to the bartender, Cloud took a seat in a dark corner of the bar, looking at the few patrons who were there, picking one of them as a bountyhead.
