Tino flew high in the air looking. He enjoyed being a bird. Flying high into the clouds and across the endless world of sea and land, being a bird was the best thing in the world. Tino couldn't understand how those silly humans could stand walking everywhere.

His white coat of feathers gleamed in the sunlight. It was peaceful. A very quiet day. There wasn't any dark clouds, no scent of rain forth coming, a beautiful day to be out flying. He spread his long wings out and just glided though the sky. Since he was a rather big bird, Tino could fly for hours without having to take a rest.

Tino soared, not knowing where he was going and not caring about it. He would fly for days if he could. He dashed up high towards the sky, reaching the thick layer for fluffy clouds. Diving back down, he sped towards the earth at a high speed, adjusting his wings that he would just swoop and not get injured. Tino couldn't express his love of flying.

Suddenly a voice caught his ears. "Help!! Someone help me!!"

Tino looked down to see a human being surrounded by two wolves. Frowning to himself, Tino dove towards them. Wolves should no better then to pick on those silly humans. Besides, as big and tasty looking humans are, the gods don't like it too much when their "children" are harmed. He supposed he would saved the human child.

((I have to come up with a fight scene! D; And we only get 20g per post ))
Tino upon deciding to help the human immediately made a sharp descent. He brought his wings in towards his sides and flew nearly perpindicular to the ground until he had just barely hit the canopies of the enchanted forest.
Just a moment longer... he thought to himself while soaring downward. At the last second he pulled himself up and spread out his wings just enough to give him some lift for a better view of the situation below. He sat at the top of the tree and looked down at the scene under him through gnarled branches and thick leaves. Tino saw that the two wolves were bickering between themselves. He went down a few more branches to hear their quarreling.
Brother, if we kill him we'll be punished by the Gods
But if we don't we'll starve and we'll be kicked out of the clan for sure.
You can't be certain of that.
Stop holding me back!
He snarled at his sister. Father told me that if I improved during the hunts that he'd promote me in the pack. I'd get a Sensei!
But that won't make a difference if we're not around to be promoted! Why the hell are you so ignorant?!
You know what Mel? I don't care! Food is food, and Rayne will protect us from the other gods!
He took two paces backwards and was ready to attack the human child mercilessly. The child screamed as the wolf made a run for him. The young boy covered his head, closed his eyes and screamed. Brother had just lept for him...
And then Mel tackled his younger brother from the side. Tito saw the child look up. They had made eye contact, and the child mouthed the words 'help me'.
Both wolves were recovering from the impact. Brother had gotten up before Mel and tried again. Mel was still dizzy from the headbutt to Brothers side and couldn't see straight. At that moment, Tino screeched unbelievebly loud and both wolves had to stop and attempt to cover their ears. The child did the same. Tino took advantage of the moment and swept down into the clearing and made for the child. The child put his hands up while Tino put his long, muscular legs down. When Tino flew by, the child grabbed his legs and Tino grasped onto the childs arms. He had out his talons from before incase he needed to get involved in the fight, but had just retracted them in time so as not to hurt the boy. Tino flew through the rest of the clearing and through some of the thicket to make sure he had lost the wolves. After nearly flying into several branches and hurting both of his vast wings in the thickets, he flew up through the canopy to meet a dazzling sun and plenty of sky above him.
After an hour or so of flying with the boy still clinging to him, Tino landed in another clearing, far from the Enchanted Forest. For once, he was tired after flying. The boy may have been small, but humans were heavy after all. And even though he was a big bird who could normally fly for days, he couldn't even think about flying at the present moment in time. The boys arms looked frail and almost colorless. They were both hanging on to each other tightly for so long that he had nearly lost circulation in his arms. Nevertheless, the boy stood up and tried to run. He's scared of me?

((Such Tiny text @.@))

Tino tilted his head. Humans were such silly creatures. He didn't understand why the Gods love them so much. Perhaps it was because they created them after the God's own image? Tino didn't know.

The child inched away even further. Tino didn't care. If the child ran away then the child ran away. Tino didn't want to get himself mixed up with humans. He would recover his strength and then take to the sky once more, where he belonged.

"Do you know where we are?" the child's small voice suddenly rang.

Tino nearly jumped. He scowled. Humans were so noisy. "Noisy humans," he muttered.

"Sorry," the child softly mumbled.

That caught Tino's attention. The child had understood him? There were few humans in the worlds that could speak the language of the birds. It often took years of practice and a special talent. He had never met a human that could speak the language of the birds.

"You understand me boy?" Tino asked.

The child nodded.

Tino tilted his head again. This child was quite amusing. Perhaps this human wasn't so silly after all. "What is your name child?"

The young boy looked at the bird funny, doesn't every being understand every other?
"I--I'm Pippin, son of Donnath. I'm from a village in the north, I'm sorry for so much trouble" he apologized looking down, trying to bring back the feeling in his arms.
Tino was flabberghasted ((haha, love that word)).
"You---You're Pippin? Son of the Donnath from the village of Gardeniel?" He couldn't believe it. Donnath was a legend, said to have been the only man given tasks on Earth by the Gods. From those tasks, he was granted the ability to speak many tounges and dialects. But his favorite to speak, the one language that had helped him moreso than any other was the language of the Winged. (This also included dragons ((woot!))). He had taught a select few men alongside mages and sorcerers the dialects, so as not to lose the language from humanity. Tino had met the man once before...
Tino stood up, spread his 4ft long pearly white wings out and bowed before Pippin. He lowered his head and closed his eyes...
"Your father was a legend and I owe my life to him. I heard he passed away several harvest moons ago. I still have to return my debt to him, so if you need anything please, say so."
Pippin blushed deeply. Some of the color was coming back in his arms.
"Its not a big deal really. He didn't even teach me the language, I was just born with it. I didn't even know him, I was only two years of age when he died." Tino was still in the same position, listening attentitively. "Please, don't bow. I haven't done anything except get lost in the forest and almost killed by those bickering wolves."
Tino stood erect again and folded his wings in and then lowered himself to the moist ground.
"That reminds me, why were you in the Enchanted Forest anyways? You're much too young to even wander around the outskirts of the forest."
Pippin looked down and picked up a rock and started smoothing his thumb over the slick texture of the stone.
"I had run away"...

Pippin, miserably began to tell his tale. "I had run away from home. Everyone knows that I'm in the son of Donnath and everyone expects me to be just like him. I love my father, but I do not know if I could live up the to the same deeds that he had.

Me teachers are always countlessly scolding me. They always tell me why I can't I be more like my father? Even mother would tell me all sorta of stories about him. I feel small compared to him."

Tino scoffed. He concluded that humans were indeed silly. So very very silly. "You humans are silly. You are not your father. I don't see why they expect you to be. After all, everyone is unique in their own way. You'll be able to make your mark one day."

Pippin smiled lightly, beginning to feel his despair go away. "You think so?"

Tino stretched his great wings. "Perhaps it might not be as great as your father, but you will help someone in your life and they'll remember it forever."

"Like how you saved me life?"

Tino smiled. "I suppose. I'm just a normal bird, but to you I'm someone who saved your life no? Beside you have done something no one has done yet, you were born with the ability of languages. Something your father didn't have until much later in his life."

Pippin nodded. "I don't you name yet, sir," Pippin asked slowly. He didn't want to annoy the giant white bird.

"Tino. I am Tino, the White Eagle of Sun. I've been traveling around the world for as long as I could remember," said Tino. Tino pointed his wing to the west. "We best get going boy. It isn't safe to stay out here yet and the sun is beginning to sink. The nearest town isn't too far away from here. "

Tino flapped his wings, feeling well rested at last. "I'll guide you from the sky," he told Pippin. The small boy nodded and flowed along the path that Tino guided him on.

Tino smiled in approval. The boy would be fine. With any luck, they would reach the next town before night fall, where he could leave the boy in safe hands. Someone would surely be able to convince the boy to return home and take him there. Pippin was far to young to be traveling alone yet. Perhaps in a few years and he was a little bit stronger and healthier.

((Well crap, I could've written that))

It was getting dark, and after their run in with the wolves Tino was tired. By the time they got to the village it was nearly evening. Tino landed just outside the village behind a small grouping of trees, so as not to attract any attention. He swooped down and bent down. Pippin slid off of of Tinos back and down his wing like a slide all the while ruffling a few feathers. But Tino didn't mind, he couldn't mind.

Pippin looked up at the giant bird, and Tino lowered his head and looked up. Pippin pet his escort gently a few times on his head so as to say thank you. Tino nodded and stood erect again.

"Please, go into the village and find a place to stay for the night. I'll be here tomorrow at dawn, so any time you want to leave from dawn and after I'll be ready."
"Thank you. I'll be ready earlier, that way you don't have to worry about getting caught as much."

Pippin made his way into the village, occasionaly looking back at Tino for security.

What am I supposed to do now? Obviously he doesn't want to return home...

((XD Well then you should have!!))

Colwn was a decent size town. Even though nightfall had come, the streets were still hustling with people. Street performers juggled balls, and played musics as storekeepers and merchants tried to squeeze in one more sale in the day. Parents guided their children home, and barkeepers prepared for the night's haul of customers.

Pippin wandered into the town, frantically looking around. Where would he stay the night? He didn't have that much money with him. Due to his panicking , Pippin bumped right into a tall man.

Falling the ground with a 'eep', Pippin hastily looked up to apologized. Words quickly left him out of fear. The man towering above him was massive built with scars covering his body. The man glared at Pippin, a large vein pulsing in angry as his huge hands flexed open and closed. "Watch the hell where you're going brat," the giant snarled. He picked Pippin by the collar of his shirt.

Pippin squeaked again. "Wah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you! Please don't hurt me!!"

By now a crowd was beginning to gather. People were whispering to themselves. "That thug Ramon is picking on travelers again." "Why doesn't someone him?" "Are you crazy? Ramon has the strength of ten grown men, he's a bloodthirsty and loves to fight. Someone would have to be crazy to go against him!"

Pippin whimpered. "Che, is this how you treat travelers?" a voice rang out from the crowd. The crowd pushed and formed a pathway.

Another traveler, stood, their sword drawn. "I suppose I'll just have to teach you some manners then."
