It may have to do with what time it is, or maybe how many people are around. Or maybe the mods just set it to amuse themselves.

At any rate, it makes it difficult to predict, and might encourage people to post more... or less XD. depending on their thought process.

I am not overly concerned with the pie rate. But, I find myself curious as to the mathematical logic behind it.

@Moxie: yup, just kind of bleh since I go back to school a week from today :( I'm not looking forward to it. This summer feels like I wasted it. Other than that, things are good ^^"

@Night: I'm good :) bored though

I am so glad I am done with school. Of course, after school you don't get a summer break at all so all you have to look forward to is weekends and vacation time.

Hullo Night! Welcome :). And yeah, I hate always looking forward to something I'm waiting for, because... ti makes time go by too fast XD. But at the same time it helps you move forward so I guess it is an up and down kind of thing.

I think certain things are harder to wait for than others. I suppose it depends on the amount of anxiety you feel in waiting for something.

What was the hardest thing you all ever had to wait for?

It is a tough one to figure out. I have always tried to be patient when it comes to waiting. But, it is something I have to work at, so I often test myself in my patience- waiting to go last in line for food, letting people go ahead of me at the checkout line, etc.

Aw, that's good :). Yeah, it can always be hard. If you think of waiting as a means to an end ( which it generally is in reality ) then it can be frustrating to think about how much time you've spent doing it - so it's generally best to try and find something to do with your time. At the very least play some games in your mind based on your surroundings or some such. Sometimes, waiting is a good thing - like waiting in line for a movie that's going to play at midnight, or something like that. People come up with creative ways to pass the time, and you have a common interest with those around you.

I am a super dork- so to pass time I count things. Or I just count to myself. I like numbers- so sometimes I count by 2's or 5's or some other number to keep my mind occupied.

Hello Salvete.

Hey Salvete!
@Moxie: That's cool :). I do similar thigns, generally it isn't counting though. I'll find patterns where there are none, in tiles and ceilings and whatnot... observe people... etc.

Ceiling tiles tend to be endlessly entertaining-whether counting them or looking for patterns in them. Once, while in the emergency room, I counted the number of holes in each ceiling tile. That was entertaining and kept my mind off of things.

That's quite a lot to count ! I can imagine such things help immensely. Of course, when I can, it also helps to bring my knitting - that is sort of counting, it's true, but that's not the best part of it. I like making things.

Aw Serena, I'm sorry to hear that; hopefully you get something you can at least enjoy a little bit.

@Salvete: I'm all right! Spinning plastic - in particular, the sleeves for cups and lids and stuff that I gather whilst at work - into "yarn" right now, with a spindle I made out of a dowel and some discs I cut of corrugated cardboard.
