Just relaxing for a bit. My hubby is making dinner and Norah, my daughter, is 'helping' him. Which is her just banging on pots and pans with wooden spoons. Lol

I despised Hercules. I also disliked The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It would have been much better without those damn gargoyles.

I didn't care too much for Hunchback, since it had a lot of overtones that made me super uncomfortable. Frollo was a very effective villain in that.

Also, those damned gargoyles. Ugh. I really could have done without them.

But the movie had one of my favorite songs from Disney, God Help The Outcasts <3333

Doing alright. My oldest is finally feeling better - some sniffles, but she isn't feeling as bad so that's a plus!

How are you doing, hon?

If I can catch her to let her know, she's currently running around naked, with her father chasing her, as she doesn't want to get into her jammies. XDD The child loves to be naked... haha! xD Yeah, she's definitely got her energy back as well.

That's good to hear! What movie did you see? I've not been to the cinemas in ages.
Sounds nice, well other than being hungry. I could try to send you some of the tofu veggie wraps that I had for dinner. (they're better than they sound. xD Most people grimace, but I find them pretty good.) Or some of the meaty lasagna that my husband and eldest had. :]

The music from Hunchback was amazeballs, and yes Frollo is one of the best villains out there. Though I am partial to Ratagin fro The Great Mouse Detective.

I want some of your wraps, they sound amazeballs.

I want to see Maleficent. The Fault In Our Stars makes me uncomfortable, since.. Hollywood, chronic illness. I just. Not my thing. I have a chronic illness, and I don't wanna deal with them fucking things up, even if I read the book it was based on.

HTTYD2 is verrrry tempting to me, though.

I need to find time to go to the cinemas, I've not been in ages! I miss going - hmmm, I wonder if I can convince my mum or Al's mother to come and watch the girls for a few hours so we can get away and go see something. :) Or just go out to dinner. Something, not too long. :)

Dang, it's been a while since this thread was active! Welcome back!
(Now I'm tempted to dig back into my post archives to see if I ever started a hangout...lol)

Wish I could say you missed a lot. Actually, we did have a Festival of Winter Nights event this year! ...kind of. They turned on event currency and teased possibly having event items (though it wasn't a guarantee) and had an avatar "contest", though no winner was announced for that.

Well at least it was something, you know? I'm glad there's still some sort of effort, even if it's minimal. <3

It was definitely fun still and I chatted slightly more than normal...which still isn't much tbh. >.>
My only complaint really is that the few staff members that organized it seemed to just disappear halfway through and/or right at the end. Like...the event ended and everyone just left again.

And it's possible that rl got busy or something, but it just felt very anticlimactic to not really have much of a definitive conclusion after the buildup of semi-reviving an event.

If I were more creative, I'd try to come up with maybe a small user-run event. Like something where we can make our own contests and prizes and just have some fun. (My prizes would be pretty garbage since I'm not an artist and I'm pretty poor on Mene and half of the "good" items I have aren't useable, but still... XD)
I almost wish I could give rl prizes for events because I could make some fun and small things like simple jewelry or like...scarves and hats, idk...and maybe plushies as prizes for stuff.

Sorry, I'm all rambly.

Tl;dr: I'm not meaning to sound like the mini event was bad, it was still fun and nice of the staff to set it up, I just wish more people had stuck around after.
And it would be cool if we could do a user-run event.

No need to apologize! I appreciate all the info. That does suck that it sounds like it fizzled out pretty depressingly. I wonder what happened there. I have so many questions about all of this.

I just hope everyone's okay really. Especially with the whole virus issues going on.

And I really wish I knew coding and stuff because tbh, I would legit fix site bugs as a volunteer if I could.
