Thanks for hosting this event, i'm so happy that i can actually participate. Usually it's for story writers or avid avatar dressers or art and stuff. Which i am no good at xD.

Melody: Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. I dec--okay the live update thing is getting on my nerves--orate for Halloween all year long. My bedroom is primarily orange, black & green, while my kitchen is fiesta ware accompanied by my pumpkin theme, my "beer" mugs are skulls, et cetera. I do all my shopping for household stuff around this time of year and I hit the sales and the 99cent stores like crazy. I spend a ton, but then I don't buy much the rest of the year. XD A trip to Rite Aid the other day for their sales turned up a "bloody" (with hand prints) shower curtain that I can't wait to install when I have my own place again!! (it's also an awesome backdrop for taking costume pictures!!)

But anyway, I celebrate Halloween every day! :3 And I've had an idea for a new dish that I haven't had a real chance to try... Plus I've just remembered a recipe I made years and years ago that would be perfect for this, too... Gotta go to the store and get some things!

I hope we have more event-themed food contests in the future, even if we don't get a lot of entries. It's so much fun!

I'm sure I'm not the only one but... these make me so hungry D:

What is it/how was it created?
beef udon, I hade to cut the beef into small chunks, browned the beef and then added to the noodles, mushrooms and broth. Green onions added later and carrrots added last so they'd be slightly soft.
Made on halloweeen because it looks like entrails with cooked flesh.

Just letting you know ahead of time that I'm currently living in the college dorms, so I don't have a pan to make this. I went and found the picture on the web. And just so you know, I have the recipe memorized.

What is it/how was it created?: Tortilla Chili-Dip (A.K.A. Chili Cheese Dip)

Ingrediants: 9" pan, 1 tub of Philidelphia Cream Cheese (medium size), 1 can of Chili (Denisen's No bean chili), 1 bag of shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese.

.1. Open the tub of cream cheese and spread the entire amount on the bottom of the pan.
.2. Then spread the entire can of Denisen's no bean chili on top of the cream cheese.
.3. Last but not least, place shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top until you can't see any chili peeking through. Too, try to make it as thin as possible, but not overly so. You don't want it too thin or too thick.
.4. Place pan in microwave until all the cheese is melted.
.5. Dig in by scooping the dip with tortilla chips!

Oh, I have such a great idea! But I need to get my hands on the main ingredient first... good thing there's a few days left to this!

xD I've only taken pictures of the one. I didn't have time to make one this morning before my husband left for work though. The kids were all whining, I think they had too much candy yesterday and it leaving their system was not pleasant. xD
