Hi everyone! Me and my friend ContessaLeandra are looking for two (or possibly one, depending on how many characters you're willing to play) roleplayers to join us in a roleplay set in ancient India.

The premise of the story is that two young and beautiful sisters, upon the day of their combined wedding, have their festivities rudely interrupted by two demigods. It is revealed that the two girls were promised to them at birth, and that their doting parents had been trying to pull a fast one by marrying them off before the demigods had a chance to steal them away. After some resistance, the girls are claimed and taken away to a place between heaven and earth... the ambara kā abhāva. Here, the girls must learn to coexist with their new husbands.

Hijinks ensue. :boogie:

We are to play the two sisters. What we need is two (or one, as I said, if you're willing to play the two) roleplayers to take up the role of our rapacious doting demigod husbands!

Our requirements are that at least some basic research must be put into your character. You must:

* Use an Indian name

* Know who your godly parent is, and...

* ...Know what being the son of that godly parent entails.

Those are the BASIC, BASIC requirements. Literacy level is also important. As we are both experienced roleplayers, we'd prefer literate to advanced partners. A minimum of two paragraphs per post is preferable - but hey, we all have those stumpy days, and we can't be inner-monologuing ALL the time, so this one is occassionally flexible. However, it's still PREFERRED.

EDIT: I'd like to state that no real specialist knowledge is required here. Me and Lele don't know much about India or its society either. We just wanna have a fun roleplay with good characters set in India! Or uh... in an Indian limbo-like place. Eventually, anyway.

GASP! 0.0 Well, to be fair, like we stated we know very little as well. But the look of India is exotic, and I love the names and clothes and stuff. So... That was more of the logic behind it. Would you be interested? <3

Nothing more to describe, really, than what we have already written in the first post.
The minimum is two paragraphs for each reply. So... I guess it might be a bit too hard for a lot of people. ^^;

Seriously? Alot of times I can do nothing with what someone has given me!! And then on some things, I can do five paragraphs.

Well, awesome! Because I noticed that on Mene, a lot of people say they write a lot... Then they don't. Lorika and I are both from Gaia, so we're used to writing a ton.

I can't believe people are so put off thinking they need some kind of uber specialist knowledge >3>; We just... like India. That's the only reason it's set there. LMFAO.

Well, The whole "You must know what a god son is." Thing kind of turned me off...

Nononono, what we meant by that is...
You just choose an Indian god, and say,
"That is the parent of my character."
And know basically what they are god of so
your character can have that attribute.
Say your kid is the son of the god of water.
So you have blue hair and have water elemental
magic or something. I dunno.

Soooo..... Like if my character was the the son of the Goddess of Knowledge, I would be extremely smart? And beg for all knowledge in the lands?

Exactly! That's what we had in mind. ^^ You don't even
have to talk to your god parent or anything. It was just
a fling with your human parent and now you reside in this
weird "in-between" world doing your own thing... Being smart,
or whatever it is you choose.
