Probably. I am in Arizona, so for spring to fall I am even with Pacific Standard time and in the fall to spring, I am on Mountain Standard time. Can get a little confusing sometimes when I have to remember that my friends and family are an hour behind me, except the older sister who is in Colorado and is there for even with me for awhile and then ahead of me the rest of the time.

Easty needs a break from all the little fuckwits that plague her classes.
SoCal is horrible! Hated living there, with their valley girl crap. Only good thing about living there was being close to the San Fernando valley and all the porn they produce.

Amen to that, Kit. As Vera from Dolores Claiborne said, "Sometimes being a high riding bitch is all a woman has to survive."

Do you generally work with middle/high school then?
When I hear teacher I always go straight to elementary, but that sounds a bit more intense than little ones.

I grew up in central/northern california my whole life, and I am NOT a fan of SoCal. I went to college further up north, almost as far from socal as you can, so about 80% of our school population was people from SoCal trying to "get as far away from home as possible" and they were such little asshats

I'm trained to do 14-19 but there's not much work so I do 11 up. It's honestly disgraceful and it's really put me off doing something I've wanted to do since I was 13

Plus teachers get blamed for the brats' behavior. Its the only thing I can see myself doing, though honestly I'm a little frightened. But I have to stop that. Kids can smell fear.

Yeah, they're little hellions. I worked with K-8th graders for 4-5 years while going to high school and then college. It only solidified my never wanting to work with kids regularly. They can be great, yeah, but I feel like it has to be the right age group and you need to be doing stuff that keeps them interested. When you're teaching them they are not interested. 11 and up is when those hormones are flying and they are dicks

Arizona is one of the few states that doesn't observe Day Light Savings Time. Honestly it should be done away with. It was set up back in the day so farmers had extra light to work in their fields by.

True, being nice can only get you so far and then you have to turn into a bit of hard ass to get what you need.

Which I never understood! The only time I was ever a dick to a teacher was when he started calling me Perfect Katie in front of the whole class because I did my homework every day. After politely asking him to knock it off and that high school is hard enough without his label, he continued to do it. So I informed my parents that I would be mounting a protest by not turning in my homework. Now I did the homework, just didn't turn it in. After a couple of weeks he told me that he would have to call my parents because the homework was no longer being turned in and that was adversely affecting my grade.
The look on his face when my mom showed up at the end of school that day to bitch him out was priceless. He never called me Perfect Katie again after that. And wouldn't you know it, he accepted all my "late" homework.

Sweet dreams, Easty.
Now here is a fun fact, the state of Arizona does not participate in DST, however, the Indian Reservations in Arizona DO participate in DST. So that can get a little confusing.
