Hyena, I should read your comic, I've been listless for a while, and my dad is hogging the TV to watch The Ashes.

(It's a cricket cup played between England and Australia, and it's happening in Australia right now so my dad now watches cricket at midnight)

Same here, Pearl, my classes start on the 18th... I really loved all the free-time but I'm ready to jump head first back into my studies.

We're doing some great literature next term, so it should be good.

College has plenty of idiots too. Perhaps not in a straight-forward bad-grades way, but in other ways.

There are pretentious people too.

I just want to stay here because I fear never being employed or never moving out.

I did a semester in Japanese and we had to learn both alphabets in a couple of weeks. It's really not that hard to learn, just keep writing everything in those symbols and it'll come pretty quickly.

So you know. General awesomeness written by Burroughs. Same guy who wrote the Tarzan series.

Shitty. I'm cramping up REALLY bad (you ladies know what kind of cramps), and it's so bad I can't even breathe properly.

@ Ljos - I'd much rather he watch football, at least I know what's going on.

Most of it is dull, but I follow the scores of his team (now my team).
I'm happy if they win, a bit miffed if they don't, but he goes completely psycho over it.

A match is an hour and a half, but 10 minutes in, with the score 0-0, he'll happily call his team cunts, or gutless fucks.

He's a real retard about it.

Aw man, I hate it when people get like that over sports. My partner will get really happy when his teams do well but if they don't, he won't be very affected at all.. he does also follow a football team, though mainly because according to him, with the friends and co-workers he has it would be really difficult to follow a whole lot of conversations if he didn't. :lol: But he also decided to follow a team that's usually at the bottom of the league.. so when they lose, it's not much of a surprise, but when they win it always feels so much sweeter.

My dad has been mostly very average, but when they lose, it's still the end of the world. It's real pathetic.

He also gets mad when people record things on sky+.
How can he get mad over stuff we like? xD Who cares if my older sister likes to watch Girls of Play Boy Mansion? It's her goddam brain, it can like whatever it wants.

But it pisses him so much when we record things we want to watch.

He records so much stuff from BBC4 - so they're always an hour long - and never watches them.
Or, he records something, but watches it live anyway.

Siiiigh.

Sounds like something my dad would do. He's got brains, he just never uses them. Course, if I recorded anime, then it'd get watched by the both of use because it's my dad's fault that I'm an anime nut. He let me watch stuff like Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo, and Gundam when I was in preschool.

Then there's Torchwood and Doctor Who. All three of us (me, my mom, and my dad) all like them. Blame me for getting my parents into Torchwood. But since we don't have DVR (or even cable), and my mom lives with my grandparents (who dissaprove of just about anything me and my parents like--especially granny), so no recording thigns. And my parents are seperated, so...yeah. We all like a lot of the same things, but can never watch them....:cry:

My parents like drama, documentaries, some comedies.

Our house is anime free, when I was younger my best friend was very into manga and whatnot but she grew out of it some years ago.
