I saw Dream Girls on Sunday. I watched it & didn't realise it was a musical before hand! They all can sing very well & even though I understand Effie {Jennifer Hudson}, she got annoying after a while.

I give this movie 4 chocolate stars. :D

Actually my boyfriend hated the movie so much & said, "Eragon? It doesn't even DESERVE to call itself Eragon!"

The only good thing was the baby Saphira he said. XD

I think it was the Devil Rejects, and before that Boondock Saints, Disney's Robin Hood and Snatch. The last 3 were watched all on the same day.
Devils Rejects was very good for being cheesy horror movie. I except it to be nothing more than that.
And Boondock Saints is just one of my most favorite movies evar!

In the theatre: James Bond - Casino Royale

Now I'm not a Bond fan at all, my hubby dragged me there.
Surprisingly, after being weirded out by the first few chase scenes (Bond killed a guy for a Nokia cell phone!), it kinda grew on me and I ended up liking it. Very nice location shots, and I liked that Le Chiffre character.

At home: Over the Hedge (Dreamworks 3D animation)

While it has been done before (cute furry outdoor animals vs. humans), and some scenes screamed deja-vu, there was some HILARIOUSLY funny stuff.
I laughed my head off when the Raccoon tried to guide the squirred to the roof window using a laser pointer. XD
The animation was brilliant too, the characters were "alive" instead of wooden as seen in so many recent 3D flicks.

that is SO my opinion xDDDDD...it looked like a little ferret xDDD
the movie was good to laugh at, but seriously...they defiled the book x.x...and in the polish dubbing, Saphira's voice sounded like a prostitute x.x

I heard the movie totally butchered the book, and the previews didn't convince me either.

I guess it's a good thing then that I saved my money and didn't go to see it...

Pan's Labyrinth.

Watched it yesterday. Simply amazing.
9.9 rating, since I don't really believe in 10's. Always room for improvement, I say.

But. It blew my mind, really. Left me breathless.

That's one movie I want to watch!
I think you just convinced me to go and buy myself a movie ticket next Tuesday or so <3

I only heard good things about it... too bad I'd have to go alone though, my husband saw they trailer and thinks it's a tad too creepy... maybe I can convince my friends to come along, if not, I'll just go by myself...

I just like going with someone because then I can discuss the movie with them afterwards...

You should deff. get someone to watch it with you...
It's a roller coaster ride of intense emotions and stuff. I was groping my friends' knees at certain parts, xDDD.
It's really good. In my opinion. I mean...seriously.
The story was really...just not expected at some points, and the special effects are AMAZING, the moral is great, the actors did really well, and the choreography is BEAUTIFUL. It's not like anything I've ever seen. There's just so much in it. I absolutely recommend the film. I'm not Spanish or Hispanic, and I know many people that are not and would be reluctant to go see it because of subtitles, but it is worth it if you appreciate a beautifully made fantastical movie.
The settings are amazing, and it's as if they spent hours on EVERY detail.

Yeah. I'm very passionate about movies and film making, so...you can probably tell. I really really am happy I watched it. 5 times worth the money I paid. Not what I was expecting, but it the best way possible.

I hope you like it as much as I did...it breaks my heart when people think badly of movies I think are amazing. >.<

I know what you mean about the heartbreak thing... I always cringe inside when someone disses a movie that I adore!

I'm sold!
I'm SO going to see that movie! You really convinced me! :3
If I can't find anyone to come with, I'll just go by myself, because to me it feels that this one should be enjoyed in a nice dark movie theatre instead of on the living room couch... especially if it has wicked effects! <3

Yay! <333
I really hope I'm not going to be wasting your time. I pray you like it.

And yes YES. It's definitely a movie one should go see on the big screen. My sister went and watched a chick flick at the movies with HER friends yesterday, when I truly think chick flicks should be for renting or something, you know? I wouldn't want to waste my time on the same old thing again and again. Because, really, all romantic comedies are like, the same:

Boy meets girl
Boy falls in love with girl
Boy loses girl
Boy wins girl back

The end.

Don't get me wrong, I have some chick flick romances that I love...like 10 Things I Hate About You. (My personal favourite romantic movie)
But I believe that there's a significant difference when you go watch Lord of the Rings in a dark movie theater versus watching it at home. I can feel the difference...and with chick flicks...since everything is usually realistic and down to earth, it' snot like you'll really need the characters blown up.
