i like mystery or murder, something around that genre. fantasy isn't really my thing, it's waaay to made-up-ish. but i like final fantasy :P

i like fantasy but now i'm into fantasy set in modern world urban fantasy and a mix of fantasy and mystery. I like charlen harris, laurell k hamilton, kelly armstrong, p.c cast and robin d owns.

I like fantasy, mystery, adventure and romance. Just give me a book having a bit of it all and a touch of historical fiction, I'll love it. Example: The Witch of blackbird pond o.o or something like that.

I like mystery, suspens, horror, not too much, a little romance, the tense between two characters that hate eachother then their together because of something that happen or something. But mostly with mystery and suspence. With magic or just normal creepy things or vampires, I love those kind of books.

My favorite genres are historical fiction and science fiction. I especially love Japan historical fiction.

Personaly, my genre preference lies inbetween history and historical fiction.

No contest my number one favorite is Fantasy followed by Mystery and Suspense at number 2.

Hmm, im not entirely sure but so far i'd say i like suspense, horror, a tiny bit of crime, and historical fiction xD

My favorite genre right now is fantasy or horror. It changes though, for example when I was younger I was obsessed with crime and mystery stories.

Those are my favorites right now, but I still enjoy other genres. The only genre I can't stand are non-fiction and romance. Not because I'm one of those immature girls that can't stand sexual scenes(no offense to anyone, I'm just thinking of someone I know that annoys me and ranted on and on because she opened up one of my books reading a sex scene and thought I shouldn't be reading things like that-keep in mind she is the same age as me, so she shouldn't be telling me what to do), I just don't like romance on it's own. If it's a book with other things going on and romance on the side, I'm fine. But I don't like books based on the romance of people. That made no sense, sorry, it's just hard to explain.

My favorite genre of book is hands down Sci-Fi. I live, breath, and eat Sci-Fi anything. Although it is my favorite, I don't limit myself to Sci-Fi only. I'm a big fan of the horror genre as long as it isn't just blood and guts, and I will give anything a try. I'm currently reading Battlestar Galatica and Philosophy, but my next book is a crime novel. :D

The genre I read really differs. I usually read romance, but i also read science fiction and fantasy. It usually depends on my mood. And the month too.

I like fantasy with romance in it when I found out about "Twilight" I had told the libarain that I wanted a "Vampire love story" lol and that is exatly what I got! But I like any kind of fantacy where there is good romance in it. Action and romance and fantacy like she loves him he loves her and there demon hunters that find out they have the same dad (I know twisted but good wierdly enough) or they love each other and one of them is trying not to kill the other one, or he loves her she is trying not to fall in love with him because he's a 150 year old ghost. I love things that are sweet yet twisted in some way, it makes things more interesting.

Usually fantasy. I really love Robert Jordan. I've read some horror. Clive Barker is good, I really liked Cabal anyway. I just started reading a gritty crime noir called The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler. I'm actually digging that and I'm kind of surprised.

Fantasy has got to be my favorite, hands down! I'm starting to get into memiors, though, especially ones about dogs.

If I have to pick a close second it would be (dark) comedy/humour. Or something not so cliche (no hot vampire boys for me thank you.)

I like any kind of fantasy, and non modern types of books too... I'm a big vampire book fan, like a lot of people here... Mystery is okay sometimes too, and horror...

Fantasy without a question. I love anything remotely dealing with fairies, Celtic culture, Pagan culture in general, gods, goddesses, Arthurian tale etc. I think you all get it heh.
