Calling all artists in the community! This is your chance to use your creative minds and skills for our beloved Menewsha!

Artists will be working for Menewsha.com and Escalate Media LP as a member of the Development team and in conjunction with the Event Coordinators in order to produce graphics for Menewsha.com.

Compensation for this position will depend largely on speed and quality of work and may consist of payment per piece in cash, gold, or items. More information regarding compensation can be discussed during the interview process.

Primary Responsibilities

As an artist for Menewsha.com and Escalate Media LP your core responsibilities will be the following:

• Event art
• Contribution Item (CI) art
• Other graphical work that does not fall under the task of Pixelists as needed

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of popular graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Paint
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Interested applicants must be able to work under pressure in order to meet defined deadlines
• Team player is essential with the ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Sufficient free time to dedicate to the site

When applying, please keep the following in mind:

• All samples submitted in your application must be that of a finished product. This means no WIPs please.
• It is recommended that you submit a piece of avatar art, from Menewsha or any other avatar site so that we may see how you translate avatar items into art.
• Once hired as an artist, you are giving away the ownership rights to your art to Menewsha. Menewsha.com will have full ownership of any art you produce for us, and may use it in any way that we wish. If you are not comfortable with this, please abstain from applying.
• All those invited to join our staff will be required to sign a contract and a nondisclosure agreement.

Applications will go through a thorough examination process in which the artwork will be evaluated for quality, construction, and applicability to the site. If we determine that you contain qualities what we are looking for in an artist, you will hear back from us no later than one week after the final applications are accepted for an interview. FAQs

1. Is there an age limit?
Yes, you have to be 18 years of age or older to apply.

2. Is there a specific graphics software that we should use?
Not necessarily. Popular graphics softwares provide the best utilities for producing graphics, that is why these are recommended.

We recommend graphics programs that support *.psd files, like Photoshop and Open Canvas.

Not sure if the art I make is really neccasary. ^^;;

is it possible for someone with no professional training to get the job? and if so are you looking mostly for a pixel artist?

We're not looking for pixelists, this is for every kind of art other than pixeling.

I don't think I'm good enough for this. Lol. I have been asked to color things. I guess I'll ask my friends if I can use them as samples..or give a link to ...a...gallery...>_<

I like Paint Shop Pro. But Yan The Dungeon Master as he likes to be called, makes me use Photoshop!

:settles down to consider again: On one hand I like the idea for this, and on the other it's largely a work for hire situation if payment goes beyond items/gold. That's generally the situation most artists try to avoid. But it'd be cool to contribute @x@ Dangit...

You can use any software that you have experience in using.

I think I'll enter. If it does pay actual money, then I might need it XD lol..
