Once upon a time, Alice came to visit Wonderland. The Red Queen had taken over back then, but with Alice's help, the Jabawaki was slain, and the White Queen returned to power. The Red Queen was banished from the kingdom, and no one was to show her any kindness, or even speak to her. Alice returned to her home, and was never to return to Wonderland......But the story dosn't end there. A third queen had been watching all events that went on, laying in wait as the sisters fought over trival things. The Black Queen was not like the Red Queen, oh no, the Black Queen had no problem getting rid of those who stood in her way, and she wasn't just interested in ruling Wonderland. She had bigger dreams, dreams of ruling the world beyond as well. Over the years wonderland turned to ash and dust, dark shadow creatures began to roam and take over all. The Black Queen's power spread accross the land destroying everything in its' path. Wonderland became a land of evil and darkness, but no matter how she searched, the queen could not find a way into the world beyond Wonderland. She had herd the rumors of the rabbit hole, and the door with the talking knob, but long ago that had collapsed and vanished due to the dark spreading within Wonderland. There had to be another way, is what the queen insisted. One remaining way to get in and out of Wonderland. A rumor came up, with all incidents concerning travel between the two worlds, one being had always been present and involved....the White Rabbit. The queen ordered her men and all of Wonderland to bring her the White Rabbit, but combing all of the land, he seemed to have vanished. The queen was furious, destroying all of her men she had sent out to look for him on the spot. One brave soldier brought her a gold pocketwatch, telling her they had found it near where the old rabbit hole had been. The queen could not get it to open, but she felt a strong magic coming from it, placing it within her vault placing her men on guard. The rabbit would eventually come for it, and when he did, access to the other world...would be her's.

Yuki froze in the shadows. He could here the creatures moving past, so he dared not move. The Black Queen was looking for him. He needed to get out of Wonderland, and lay low for awhile. He turned away from the rhoad, and headed along what had once been a very nice green pasture. The old drebblers had used to graze here, now they were all turned to stone. In the normal world, he had herd of a familiar creature known as a cow. A large animal of various colors who produced milk. The difference with a drebbler, was that they had three legs on each side instead of twi, and they made a sort of honking sound rather then a moo.

He never understood the whole mooing thing. An odd thing for a creature to say, moo. A small smile appeared on his lips, and he couldn't help but be ammused by his own thought. However, this was short lived. Soon the snarl of the queen's guards were herd behind him. Large ghastly lizard like men, wearing armor, and holding large swords were running at him from across the field. Swamp folk, they followed the queen like in the human world a drone follows a queen bee. They were horribly stupid on their own, but were very tough fighters. They smelled often though of murky swamp water, and it was deffinetly a pain to get out of clothes.

Yuki was not going to stand around and wait for them to catch up, he turned taking off over the field. His ears moved up above his head, to listen for the sounds around him. He noticed a few things here and there, but the big thing was, that there were more lizard men on the way. He shuddered, he would not go down so easily to a couple of swamp dwellers. He had to get out of sight, but the only place close enough was a small cave to his left. He had to chance it, darting to the side in a sharp turn. Thankfully, the lizard men again wern't the smartest, and their long clawed feet dug into the durt as they tried to turn, causing them to trip over themselves and eachother.

It was really quite foolish, the queen should have known better then to send a couple of lizards after a smart and quick rabb-. A lizard jumpped out in front of him, interrupting his thoughts. He slid to a hault, glancing past it at the opening just beyond. So close, and yet so far. The lizard laughed, giving a big toothy grin at him. He rolled his eyes, and moved a bit back only to meet the other three lizards. More were coming, they wern't planning to let him go easily at all. A soft sigh escapes him, and he shrugged "might as well" he muttered to himself. He closed his eyes, focusing on the flow of time around his body, feeling every movement around him. The lizards seemed to slow down, before completely freezing.

He had slowed time down, but to the lizards it would be more like he was moving at the speed of light. He hurried around the one in the door, moving along to the cave. He didn't hesitate, before moving deeper inside. The farther he got away, the weaker his time control on the lizards outside got, until they were free. They looked around angrily, and the head one smacked another in the head yelling in their own fowl language. Luckaly, Yuki was to far ahead to hear, he moved deeper into the cave's darkness. His only hope was to escape to the normal world beyond Wonderland, and get help, before the Black Queen got him.

Hikari flopped down on the top of the hill she had just climbed. The forest behind her house had always been a place for her to escape, and today she simply needed to escape. With her sister married and out of the house, her parents had been setting up 'accidental' meetings with elligible young men,and turning the screws in her to get married. But Hikari didn't want to get married, not yet.
So she had snuck out the window of her room and gone for a hike.Close to the center of the forest, there was a hill that broke out into a clearing near the top,and that was where she was now, laying in the sun at the top her a hill.It was her favorite place in the world, where everything was peaceful and quiet and she had time to daydream. That day,she closed her eyes and had a wonderful daydream about another world where everyone was a little bit odd. There was a disappearing cat,a strange hatter, and a rabbit with a pocket watch, among others. When she opened her eyes again,it was close to sunset, and she smiled at her own imagination."If only a place like that really existed.I should like to go there very much." She mused, watching as a family of rabbits crossed the clearing and disappeared back into the forest on the other side.

Matty Hatter

High above Wonderland past the ruins where the Jabawaki fell and deeper yet into the forest; a small hill side home precariously sat on a teetering ledge above a great gully. It was a rather ratty little shack of a home. The window shutter were all broken from at least one hinge, the paint curls as it peels from the walls, and yet smoke bellows from the chimney atop. Above the door read a plaque: "Sun light is that of the moon, but the moon light comes from the stars!" What a curious, non-sencicle sign to have on such a strange home.

Within the tattered walls, a new scene all together is layed out. Beautiful red wall paper with golden birds and other designs decorated the large one room house. The home is filled with wonderful items that sparkle in the sun's light that shines through the cracks in the roof. Golden statues and piles of jewels and riches cluttered the floor, leaving only room enough for the large comfy living room chairs that have been pulled up to the table. The large dinning table, ran from the front door to the very back of the house, and covered with cakes, cookies, and of course... tea pots and cups!

Indeed, this home had once belonged to the Mad Hatter. It had been moved to these mountain long ago before his demise and was now inhabited by his daughter, Matty. The strawberry blonde girl had grown up here, having been born years after the fall of the Jabawaki. She grew amoung the animals and father, never knowing her mother's love or face. Now in the birth of her adult hood, she lives alone in her sea-saw home; celebrating every unbirthday in solotude.

Paris sat against a tree in the forest. He had his book open on his lap, reading into the history of Greece at the moment. He had an intrest in the older societies, and the strangest things as well. He looks away from his book for a moment, to see a female walking in the forest. He was a bit curious as to why she would be there, and if he should call out to her. He shook his head, looking back down at the book he had been reading. He slides his hand up the page, and flips it over to the next. He slid his eyes down the page, but he found it a bit hard to concentrate at the moment now. A sigh escapes from his lips, and he closes his book with a definete thud. He stands from his spot turning.

Sitting in the air above the hatter's home,a boy of about 15 grinned and descended, transforming into a small black cat.The cat walked up to the door and scratched at it,mewing pitifully.Akiko loved showing up as a cat to people, even those who knew who he really was.to him, seeing the world from a cat's point of view was entertaining.it also made it easier to escape after a successful prank.

Creeking from the weak roof boards caught the attention of the young hatter's daughter. With a spin as she began to walk and investigate, Matty stood under the spot where dust rained down. There was something, no, someone on her roof. A very mischevious someone.

"Do come in before you fall in!" Matty insisted with a stomp of her army booted foot. The house rocked back and forth on the ledge in which it was perched. "If by you, another hole in my roof is put, your fur will be what covers the void!" She knew full well who was stalking back and forth on her roof, infact it happened almost like clock work every few days.

The cat purred with laughter and floated down to the door, where he entered and transformed back into a boy."Hello~ I've some interesting news of a certain furry white someone." he said cheerily, tail waving back and forth.

Hikari heard a noise in the forest and looked up to see a boy walking towards her."hello? who are you? and when did you get here?" she asked nervously.she hadn't seen him on her way up.had she simply missed him? of course the woods were public and open to anyone, but it still felt like an intrusion of her privacy to find someone else here in her spot.

The sound of the yound man's voice buzzed in Matty's ears and echoed in her mind. A white someone, the rabbit no doubt. With a spin in her step as she began to walk, Matty ushered Akiko into her home. Ever shifting weight caused the house to creek and moan as it teattered back and forth.

"A seat, take it and do tell!" The strawberry blonde insisted as she grabbed a cupcake from the table with haste. She ran her finger through the vanilla frosting ontop of the chocolate treat and then popped it into her mouth. A moan of delight flowed from her breast.

Paris passed the girl, noting the look on her face. "Relax, I was just leaving miss" he continued on his way, walking along towards the other end of the forest. He didn't like people who were like that, so posessive, and acting like others were in their area. He didn't know her, but he had no intrest in it at the moment. He wanted to go home and finish his book in peace, without the interruption of other annoyances around him.

Hikari nodded."r-right,sorry.you startled me,is all..." she said quietly, her shy nature taking hold. She wondered who this boy was,and if he lived nearby, but of course she would never ask.It simply wasn't her nature to inquire about other people's private business.Instead, she went back to daydreaming about her fantasy world. In her mind, she was flying,no,falling.falling down a hole and into a wonderous land...a smile crossed her face as she imagined all the amazing things she might find there.

Akiko followed, knowing by now just where to step so as not to send the little house tumbling into the abyss. He sat down and made himself comfortable."well,I happened to be chasing a mouse when I happened across a chase. It seems the queen got a lead on our Yuki, and sent those nasty lizard things after him.it was quite a scene.they almost had him at one point, but he gave them the slip with his time trick, and disappeared into a cave.I think he left to get help,if you know what I mean." he said, then started chuckling."oh,you should have seen those lizards! they started hitting eachother and shouting in that foul language of theirs,it was hilarious." he told her."I couldn't have set it up better myself."

Jabby explored the cave she had wondered into the night before. Unsure of the surroundings she had entered, nor if there was another being within the cave. Her purple hair lay flat on her back, a few strands swaying as she walked. Even though she had never encountered another creature in Wonderland, she was very careful to stay away from the unknown. She was flighty by nature, and shy by design, which caused her to hide at all moments. She had become tired as she was exploring through the night, and so searched for a safe area she could rest in hiding.

When she had awoken, she began to feel closed in and claustrophobic, so she started to head towards the exit. In her half asleep walk however, she had not realized the length of the cave she had entered, and knew she had spent the best part of the morning walking, and occasionally flying, towards the exit of which she knew was straight ahead.

When she had guessed the morning was desolving, she saw a white blur flash past. The sudden realization that another life form was around struck extreme fear into her mind, so she jolted against the wall just in time to avoid a collision. She stayed against the wall for a bit, hoping she had not been noticed, waiting for the assuring proof that she was again to herself, or the frightening truth that there was something else in the cave with her.

Deardea the Dryad

A giggle rang through the cave where Jabby had been residing. It was the playful tone of a adolecent female's voice. Was the voice from the white flash? The poor baby jabawokie must have been terrorfied to be in the dark, scary cave alone. In her huddled state against the wall, it would of been possible she would of taken notice of the long vines on the floor of the cave.

Suddenly, the lifeless vines began to move. They wrapped around Jabby gently, holding her just tight enough to lift her off the floor and pull her towards the exit of the cave. Jabby wouldn't know it yet, but she was about to meet her first woodland creature, and possibly her first friend. Once the vines had carried Jabby out of the cave and released her softly onto the ground, Deardra stepped out of the trunk of a tree. The sprite giggled again, removing any doubt that it was indeed her that had done so before.

"Poor dear, you're scared to peaches aren't you!" The dryad child asked as she looked into the eyes of the purple haired girl.

----------

Swaying her head from side to side as the cheshire boy spoke, Matty imagined the view. Yuki, the foolish rabbit. Did he not know better then to stay out of the fields during this season? Rabbits should know better then to be out in the open when the grass hasn't yet tanned, especially when their fur is white!

"Wonders be born." Matty muttered under her breath. It was a phraze she said quite often, usually while lost in thought. She found it rude to remain silent after having been spoken too, so she used the phraze as a way to say: "I heard you, but am lost in thought."

When the vines started to wrap themselves around her, Jabby became so frightened she could no longer move to try and escape. She had never had contact with any creature before, and now she knew that she had come in contact with two. When she began to move towards the exit of the cave, the second presence she had felt became stronger, while the first one became weaker. She was a little more frightened as the first one escaped her voice, as she wasn't sure if either was evil or good and wanted to hope one close by was good to help her.

Finally, she saw that she was being taken to the exit of the cave, three similar creature disappearing as she neared the light. But the thoughts that began to flow in her mind disappeared when a friendly looking green girl appeared and began to talk. She shied away from the girl, and tried to decide if she was a friend or not. When Jabby was born she had been alone, so no one had told her what to expect or what she would find. She had never come across another creature in her five years of life until now either, but she had at least sensed that she wasn't alone in the lanad she called home. After a little bit of thinking, she decided to stay in her current form and hide her true form from the unknown creature.

Yuki closed his eyes as he stepped out onto the street in the normal world. He had managed to appear in an allyway, out of sight of the people. He felt a bit odd and out of place now, and a few people looked him over as they passed. He pulls the hood of his coat up, hiding his ears as he looked around. He sighed a bit, he could only wonder that the others had herd about his little adventure. He rolls his eyes, they were probrably having a field day with it. Then again, they didn't have to worry about being hunted. He sighed lightly, turning to walk towards the park where he had often gone to in this relm. He smiled a bit, he would just have a look around before heading back to his home in Wonderland.

Paris shook his head at the girl. Women, they were an odd sort to him. He turned away, ignoring her now he left her there doubting she would care or notice him moving on. He headed to the edge of the forest, looking out into the city with a slow sigh. He would have rather stayed where he was and finished his book, but the girl was in the way. He stepped down on a rock, and then another, moving his way down the slight hill to the valley below. He headed back towards the town, he wondered if his father had come home from his trip yet. He missed him, and was looking forward to seeing him again.

Being the young, vibratious spirit she was, Deardra stepped closer to the trembling woman. A bird flew down and landed on the dryad's shoulder. Perhaps this was a way to let the girl know that she was harmless.

"Don't be frightened, I'm no bodies enemy!" Deardra said. The tone of her voice was low, just above a whisper. "I wouldn't hurt a child so yound and innocent." She offered Jabby her hand to help her up from the floor of the woods.

Jabby cautiously took the young looking girls hand, almost reassured by the bird. She didn't completely trust her, but decided she would be a nice companion for a while if she didn't do anything to prove mean. When she was standing again, Jabby looked around to get a slightly better look at her surroundings. Just then, as she looked in the direction the three other creatures had run off to, she noticed a few odd looking creatures like earlier running towards the cave. "What are those?" She asked quietly, pointing in the direction of her question.

Fallowing Jabby's gesture with her eyes, Deardra looked in the direction of the retreating lizardish creatures. Poor dear, she must of been at her wits end when she saw the gastly things. Hanging her head for only a second, Deardra smiled to reassure Jabby that she had nothing to fear.

"Rottocks." Her voice remained only just above a whisper. It didn't get much higher, or atleast that was how it would seem. "They will not harm you, they aren't alloud to harm anybody really. Unless told by their master. Their master is none other than the Black Queen; but there is no reason a child like you would have to worry about that mean old lady!" She winked at Jabby knowing full well who and what she was. Infact she knew quite a bit about all the children born in her forests.

Feeling reassured that she was safe, more questions began to form in her head. What is a black queen? She inquired innocently, still unsure of what or who she was talking to, and still a little scared about her. She didn't know what else she would meet by the end of the day, and was still unsure of how long she was going to be with the green lady. Her mind was whirling with questions that she wanted answered, but couldn't quite gain the courage or words to ask. What is she? What was that white thing that flashed past me in the cave? How many other creatures are in the woods? What is her name? Are there any other creatures like me? The last was never to be asked, as she didn't really know too much about herself to specify what she was exactly herself.

Looking into the amethyst eyes of the young jabberwocky, Deardra could tell that her mind must have been racing a mile a minute. Why wouldn't it be? For such an aged apearance, it was obvious that the fledgeling hadn't even broken her first decade of life in this realm. Had there really never been anyone who had taken this sweet creature in to teach her anything?

"Oh dear heart, sweet." Deardra doted on Jabby with a motherly admiration of her innocence. "The Black Queen is a foul woman whom seeks the white rabbit. I'm sure you must of at least caught a glimps of him. He is why the Rottock's had been around this cave. But that is all you need to know for now."
Again Deardra giggled as she began to walk into the woods. She looked behind her to make sure Jabby would fallow her. "Come, you look famished! I know a grew spot where the Kokira trees grow strong. They had a splendid season this year, thanks to me, and are ripe for the picking!"

At the mention of something to eat, Jabby's stomach began to growl. She caught up with the helpful lady and followed her, hoping for the food to be as splendid as she had spoken it to be. She still had a lot of questions, but was still a little scared to ask. What's your name? She asked, hoping to at least receive something to call the nice lady until they parted ways.

"I have many names, but I choose to call myself Deardra." The busty youngster told Jabby. She spun on her heals and walked backwards to continue the conversation and lead the way. "And what do you call yourself dear?" The forest at this point was getting think, but it was empty of all creature save for the bird on Deardra's shoulders who sang out every so often.

Jabby started to notice the woods growing thicker as they continued heading to the unknown destination. I'm, uh, Jabby. She replied after some hesitation. Just as she finished the bird began to sing again, making Jabby jump a little. The whole time they had walked the bird would occasionally sing, an unfamiliar sound in Jabby's eyes, so it always scared her a tiny bit. She didn't want to tell Deardra, in fear that it would hurt something's feelings, but didn't mind the beautiful noise either. Where are we going? She asked after a little while longer, noticing that it was getting darker already.

Pausing for a moment in thought, Deardra stopped walking. Her eyes slowly traces the bottem layer of leaves in the trees, she was thinking hard about something. Suddenly she began to giggle, first starting as a hardly audible titter then growing into a hearty belly laugh. What on earth had come across this creature's mind!

"Jabby the jabberwocky!" She exclaimed finally as she grabbed her sides and doubled over still snickering. Deardra didn't intend to be rude, dispite the behaviour, but found great humor in the irony of the poor girls name. "I'm sorry." Her scarlette eyes where clouded with laughter tears but she wiped them on the back of her wrists. "It's very cute, fitting of such and adorable face!" A green finger tapped Jabby's nose as Deardra finished her sentence. The dryad was having so much fun with her new friend.

Deardra turned and resumed walking in the direction they'd been heading. She had forgotten that she'd been asked a question until she heard a crack of thunder above her head. The refocusing force of nature brought Jabby's comfort level to mind. Wherever she was taking the young Jabberwocky, they'd better make it fast.

"I have a tree house not far from where the Kokira trees grow. You can stay there while I gather some fruits and nuts for you to eat." The trees where begining to thin now, but the sky remained dark as rain heavy clouds began to settle into the area. "By the way, do you fear storms?"
