Alright so it seems this forum has the most boring, most disgusting, the most annoying. What about the longest?
The longest book I have read I think would be Memoirs of a Geisha...I am pretty sure it was longer then Harry Potters or Twilights XD IF I did read Kon Tiki like I was supposed to it'd be the longest ^^
So what are yours? Do you prefer short reads? or The nice and long ones?

I don't really have word count but here are a few I've read that could probably contend.
Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon
Gathering Storm by Kate Elliott
The Physician by Noah Gordon
Gone With the Wind & Scarlett
The Three Musketeers - Alexander Dumas
Lady of the Forest - Jennifer Roberson

The longest book I've ever read is actually The Bible. :P
It bored the crap out of me, though, to be honest.

I can't remember all the 1000+page books I've read right off the top of my head.
The most memorable:
IT and The Stand by Stephen King
Pilares de la Tierra by Ken Follett (in spanish)
When I get home I'll peek into my bookcase...

This is hard...I read a lot of books.....okay let's look at the ones that I own....
well...Deathly Hallows seems to be the longest book I own unless you count the LOTR combined trilogy (with the Hobbit ^_^). But I'm sure those aren't the longest books I've read....Little Women is pretty long...
I guess I go for more of a medium read, between 300-400 pages, I can get through them faster and read more of them

I have read a few 1,000 and up. I have to say that by the end of a huge book like that i tend to get bored. But then i didn't really like the couple of books i read that were that long.

I'm not sure out of all the books I read which would be the longest. But out of all the books I own it's pretty safe to say that it's Deathly Hallows.

The longest book I read was the abridged version of the Counte of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and it was over 900 pages. I want to read the full version though... Wish I could read it in French though... Sadly I don't speak that lovely language.

Funny... I've never realy counted my pages. I mean, all my books are big and then there's the font difference. Take Harry Potter for instance. Although its long, the font is large, therefore if put in normal font it would probrably be the size of To Kill a Mockingbird... or slightly bigger.

The longest book I've ever read was the last Harry Potter book. However, as Q U E E N ! E said, it may have just been long due to the font size. But I'm sure it's still the longest book I've ever read even if the font was a tad smaller :3

Longest book... Longest book...
You know, I am not really sure what book I have read was the longest! I have read a great deal of books, so I'll just say Dracula by Bram Stoker. Even though the Harry Potter books I have read were longer, I'd say Dracula PWNs Harry Potter any day.

lol I haven't read Dracula so I really can't make a comparison but I liked Harry Potter a lot because I was about the same age as Harry when the book first came out so I was able to grow as Harry grew in the story. I think that made the story a bit more magical and interesting to me.

I think the longest book I've read was Eclipse. My God that was long x_X. Personally though, I think that I like books somewhere in the middle (say 200-300 pages?)

you have to really be in the mood for a long read, able to just snuggle up with it. and then after that you need lots of good short reads

The longest books I've read are the Harry Potter books..that's probably pretty sad. ^^; But I do love reading it just don't know how to choose books very well. But lately I've been trying something other than Harry Potter. They are not very long though. xD

Harry Potter seems to be a lot of people's longest! book length really is irrelevant to whether a story is good. If anyone out there likes fairy tales I recommend the Once Upon a Time series, it's a group of authors who rewrite classic fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast, Rumpelstiltskin some of them are very clever, and they're nice quick little reads so it's good for sticking in your purse when you've got a doctors appointment or something, nice little paperbacks ^_^
